The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and the view from the bedroom (Sanda) was breathtaking, I could have sat for hours watching the Loch from the window. We ate here both nights and had lovely meals. It was so quiet and the bed comfortable so we had a good night's sleep.we walked into Campbeltown , about 20 min, nice little town with a couple of good cafes. You could also take a short walk in the other direction to a little beach. Photo is view from room Nothing to say

Een fijne zitgelegenheid met prachtig uitzicht voor het hotel, zeker aan te bevelen om in de namiddag lekker van een drankje te genieten. Lekker avondeten en uitgebreide ontbijtkeuze.

Scott (9/5): Great food, friendly and helpful staff - treat yourself to a dram or three. - Always stay here whether it is for work or some R&R. Foods always great. You will wait a little bit of time for your food, but, I don't see that as a negative, just give yourself extra time in morning if there for work - more so see it as a positive to relax a bit, enjoy the view and hydrate with some fine beverages. When your food arrives, you'll realise why service is the way it is, food is always absolutely excellent and well prepared. I actually love staying here, have done on every occasion I have been to Campbeltown. The only negative I can see that others may find is the speed of service, but as mentioned above, its worth the wait.

Tammy Tours (7/5): Lovely location - The location of Craigard house was stunning, over looking the bay and away from the main town. Our garden room was perfect for the dog and the street was quiet for a walk along to the coastal path in the morning. The shower temperature was either hot or exceptionally hot. Minor note, the room was well equipped, although the waterfall feature wall wasnt quite in keeping with the style of the property. A dark green perhaps might be more fitting and elevate the room.

Very outdated bathroom and bed was really uncomfortable/not as advertised. A lot of stains and mould in the bathroom. Breakfast options were good and the range of options was excellent but the Scottish breakfast wasn’t the best quality (link sausage specifically).

I dislike eating in the company of dogs. A group of guests has a small dog which began to yap on one morning and the next day peed on the floor at the side of my table. Not exactly what you want at breakfast. Why can't people leave their dogs in the room. Dog owners must understand not everyone likes their dogs as they do. To be fair another guest had a dog which was quiet and well behaved
Donald (10/5): Peaceful haven in a storm - Like stepping into an Agatha Christie novel. Lovely. We arrived very late, driving through a storm and were delighted to find that the kitchen had stayed open for us. Just as well as the food was delicious and I was pleased to see an exhaustive wine list which is rare in this part of the world. Our 10/10 breakfast the next morning was enjoyed as the storm still raged outside. The views were amazing but made even more special by the biblical rain. Nothing.

A beautiful location with a nice view over the water into the town. The food was also well prepared, tasty, generous and authentic. We had to leave early and on our way out at 6:00 a.m. they had prepared a very nice bag of goodies to take with us, so thoughtful and very much appreciated. Jeff & Janet

Einfach Nur Wir (9/5): Wenn wir in Campbeltown sind, werden wir dort übernachten - Die Lage war Top, das Personal war sehr nett. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Zimmer war gut Etwas hellhörig das Haus.
Hamish (7/5): Good food in a period property with outstanding views. - The menu was very good. I liked the architecture of the building and a great deal of care had gone into the initial building. Glass work and covings were outstanding. At least Grade 2 listing. The flooring in the main rooms was very good but unfortunately need a big uplift Overall the presentation of the public rooms is good . The bedroom allocated was large and well appointed. It is much newer than the rest of the building. Other residents at the time of my stay had suggested that it was "tired". However it is a building of the late 19th Century 1880's?? so remember this is a period property. Great location with stunning views across Campbelltown Loch. I appreciated the ambience of the building but for choice I would have improved the lighting in the hallway and had a more professional desk for reception.

Marina (9/5): We enjoyed our stay - We have stayed in Cambelltown a few times but never in the Craigard. The room was spacious and we liked the walk in/out of town. We enjoyed our stay.
Rob (1/5): Avoid at all costs. - Location and that’s about it. Room was not clean with spider webs everywhere and clearly had never been properly cleaned in a long time. Food was appalling especially the breakfast. Poached eggs rock hard and stinking of vinegar. Ham was not fresh either and looked grey. Not pleasant at all. Food was left out in the open for a considerable time and still there when we checked out. Another couple checked in and shortly loaded their car up and checked out fast.

Ann (9/5): Lovely stay - We loved the view, comfortable bed and pillows, the staff were great and the menu was extensive for being a small venue. Evening meal was fantastic and drinks menu was great aswel Breakfast was delicious both mornings. Will stay here again next time we visit Campbeltown, we loved the original features and quirkiness of the hotel. If i had to be picky, the house keeper missed quite a few cobwebs but cleaned them when I pointed them out.

Karen (10/5): Best night of Scotland so far - Beautiful old house with an interesting history. Fully renovated bathroom was a complete surprise. Owner even gave us a lift to the golf course as he was worried that a taxi would be pricey. Lovely town as well.
