The rooms were clean and cozy and I slept so well. Nothing! The driveway was a bit narrow but there is ample parking at the guesthouse and we were used to the narrow roads by then.
- Michal (10/5): amazing - The best garden, views the conservatory where breakfasts are served, honesty bar and optional dinners absolutely maevellous

- Paul (6/5): The location is stunning and peaceful. This is the charm of the accommodation. - The location was stunning, a picturesque country house set in the Snowdonia mountains. We only had a handheld shower over the bath. This was not conducive to easy and quick showers.
The literature did not mention the country lane to access the hotel. Please note when booking that it is very beautiful but was not created for larger modern cars. The journey to and from was quite a challenge.
- Gaëlle (10/5): Very beautiful country house owned by really nice people, close to a super village. - Very beautiful country house owned by really nice people, close to a super village. The host give us nice recommendations for plan our day and visit the beauty of Snowdonia. Breakfast and dinner are delicious.

- Jane (8/5): very relaxing very friendly and helpful people very restful - the quietness the only negativity was no dinner available in the evenings at weekends and for me no tv in the room

- Anna (10/5): A wonderful hotel — I already want to come back again. - Liked absolutely everything! The hotel is in an incredible location, very picturesque, with a beautifully maintained garden cared for with great love and attention. The breakfasts are true masterpieces created by the chef. The owner and staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable, and housekeeping was done daily.
- Stephen (10/5): A hidden gem! - The location is beautiful, quiet and a fantastic place to relax. The owners and staff (special shout out to Tino) are friendly, professional and very helpful. The food is fresh, wholesome and cooked to perfection. This is a great place in a great location, whether you are the outdoor type, want to explore the local area or just want to sit and read or even paint in the beautiful well kept garden, there is something for everyone. We will definitely visit again and recommend you do the same!
- Gill (10/5): A truly amazing place, which was made all the better by the care and attention from the owner - From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and valued as visitors to such a fantastic home. The house was like a home in every way with well thought out rooms for guests to relax in, fantastic gardens and extremely comfortable guest rooms and facilities. The staff team were exceptional in every way and the breakfast was of top quality with plenty of choice. the views were just amazing from all areas of the garden . Nothing
- Victoria (10/5): - Very welcoming hosts, Exceptional views. Peace and quiet. Highly recommended!
- Peter (10/5): Gorgeous accommodation in Welsh national park - Classy idyllic accommodation in a beautiful village. A bit of an adventure to drive the last 200 meters up a narrow driveway but well worth it. Excellent breakfast and scenic short walk to village. Couldn't really fault this accommodation.

- Hayward (9/5): - Lovely location and very friendly staff. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely book again sometime in the future.
- Monica (8/5): Lovely hotel in beautiful location with some challenges. - Nice clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff, lovely village. Favourite thing was walk along river from hotel to village - very beautiful! Breakfast from 8am (was originally hoping to start hike by 7.30 - although they might have done something for earlier if we had specifically asked). No options for evening meal at hotel - had to go into village. Really, really steep, single track road up to hotel. No TV in room.
- Matthys (10/5): - Very friendly hosts! The location is incredible. What a beautiful place. We WILL be back! -
- Helen (10/5): - An amazing setting in the Welsh countryside. Kind and helpful owners!
- Madeleine (10/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): - Beautiful location. Short walk away from the lovely village of Beddgelert, right in the heart of Snowdiona National Park.
Host made us feel at home.
Quiet and peaceful. First night was cold. Unfortunately the radiator hadn't been turned on and it took a while for the room to warm up!
Breakfasts were lovely but we did have one evening meal and apart from the first course the food was cold! We had further meals elsewhere.
- Louise (7/5): Pleasent hotel - welcoming hosts . Views are stunning . Easy walk to village. Very steep access road . - Beautiful views The road leading to the property

- Ayesha (10/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): relaxing - Very warm welcome from the owner and staff.
situated in a quite environment ideal for rambling and hiking, very scenic and the hotel is near a small village with a shop pubs/restaurants and with a Welsh Highland Heritage Railway Station in the Village.
Our English Breakfast was good hot and cooked to order, bedrooms are very clean the hotel has plenty of space to relax in with a small honesty bar and TV lounge.
Excellent free internet with fast speed in the bedroom and hotel. No TV in the bedRoom so take your iPad or lap-top if you want to watch movies or tv Chanels.
- Jessie (10/5): -
- Lucy (9/5): A wonderful place to stay - highly recommend - This property is located perfectly for climbing snowdon (only a 5 min drive to the start of the Watkin path) and there are other lovely walks in the area. The breakfast was good, with lots of options (I particularly enjoyed the banana bread). There is an honesty bar for evenings and lots of spaces to relax. The hosts were very friendly and did everything to accommodate us. Nothing!
- nikki (9/5): Lovely, quirky little find - The owners/host were lovely. Made us feel very welcome & at home. Decoration & furnishings were quirky. Food for breakfast was lovely & tasty & the bed was super comfortable. Walls seem very thin as we could hear other rooms moving around & closets opening etc.
- Helen (10/5): Charming guest house and charming hostess - Breakfast very good and location, lovely Bed size! Double too small
- Barbara Watrak (10/5): - It's a beautiful place. The staff are amazing and helpful. Great idea with dinner, food was so delicious 😋
- Denise (10/5): - The house is in a beautiful location. Very peaceful. Host was lovely.
- David (10/5): - The location was great and the staff were helpful and very welcoming That i had to leave when I did. Would've loved to stay longer.
- Elaine (10/5): -
- Shane (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay here…the owners were so incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay that extra special. We had to leave very early one morning to start climbing snowdon and they even packed us a lunch :D we most certainly hope to visit again. Thank you for an incredible stay!
- suzanne (10/5): A true treasure nestled in the Welsh countryside which makes you feel you have truly had a break from daily living and e - The staff were so welcoming and the quiet atmosphere, beautiful views and fascinating building beautifully and sympathetically decorated were a delight. The food was exemplary, a real treat! The drive is indeed as described steep but made the adventure all the more memorable!!
- Webster (10/5): - The hotel was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it excellent place and service. It was very chilled and relaxing the staff went above and beyond.
- Anne (8/5): - This is a lovely small Bed and Breakfast hotel in a wonderful setting. It is only staffed by 3 people so it feels like staying with a family rather than a larger hotel. Our room was lovely (superior double). A bit surprised there were no toiletries other than soap in the bathroom at that price, but luckily I had brought some. No TVs in the rooms but is a small lounge with a TV. Be aware that the restaurant is pre-book only and only serves Monday-Thursday. So don't expect food after a long journey on a Friday (like we did!) Also the pubs in town stopped serving at 8pm so we missed dinner that night. Would have been good to know that in advance. Slightly cold in the conservatory where breakfast is served. But it was winter.
- Alexander (10/5): Would recommend to all - Idyllic countryside setting, peaceful and quiet, homely and welcoming
- Lucy (10/5): Beautiful, relaxing stay. - We received the warmest of welcomes and were made to feel so comfortable and welcome throughout our stay. The hosts have the perfect balance of being attentive but non intrusive.
The room was clean and comfortable. The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped and the food is amazing. Loved the cosy television room and enjoyed having a few games of darts in the bar, the honesty bar is well equipped and reasonably priced .
The location is so tranquil and beautiful (even in the rain!). The only noise we could hear from our room was the bird song in the garden.
Just perfect. Nothing.
- Tomasz (10/5): Peace and quiet like this allowed us to take a break from city life❤️❤️❤️ - Great owners, beautiful view, good food, very clean, great location. You can relax and unwind. We highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back.
- Tebboth (9/5): -
- William (10/5): Great stay - Fantastic room, really comfortable with great view. Hosts genial and there to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Great breakfast. Useful to have electric car chargers. Nothing
- Raymond (8/5): A nice place to stay - Location Nothing
- Mia (10/5): -
Rien
- Ms (9/5): - The staff were very accommodating, the communal areas were nice and comfortable and the food was delicious. It was all great value for money. The path/road to the hotel is very narrow, but there's nothing that can be done about that.
- Lenny (8/5): -
- Jack (10/5): -
- Zoe (10/5): Amazing views, attentive hosts and lovely food. Very relaxing. - The property and its grounds and surroundings were incredible - exactly what we wanted. N/A
- keith (8/5): -
- Birgit (10/5): -
- Dylan (10/5): - Exceptional staff and hosting always available when needed
- Fozia (8/5): Memorable except no romance - Breakfast good, location was nice as well The road work towards the facility there shouls be some lighting
- Susan (8/5): -
- Wendy (9/5): - Lovely hosts. Good breakfast. Beautiful location.comfortable room. Just be aware that there is a steep, tight single path drive upto the hotel.
- Paul (4/5): Would not go back - Breakfast ok. Sitting rooms were comfortable. Facilities in room very poor. Small room no suitable mirror to use with hairdryer. No coasters so hot drinks directly on to furniture. Bathroom needs to be completely refurbished. Irritating noise from water pump.
- Emma (9/5): -
- Henry (10/5): Was a fantastic stay, looked after & staff would go over and beyond to make sure we were okay. - Location, Staff, food & cleanliness.
- James (10/5): Amazing stay with outstanding view - The staff and location where amazing, we was lucky enough to get some snow which made for a loverly time, there was a nice variety of breakfast available. Nothing
- Rose (6/5): - Our room was large and lovely for our stay. Great location 20 minutes walk from the village and accessible to great hikes. Felt like staying as a guest at a lodge/B&B/up market very cozy hostel or distant relatives rather than a hotel which was charming for us but might not be for everyone. Team were very kind and did accomodate requests when asked. Torches to borrow and lovely homely lounge area. The steep (~10%) winding, single track narrow lane driveway with sheet drops in parts was nerve-racking in case another car was to come. Signal system would be great.
Pre ordering breakfast with quite a structured option list, the team were accommodating when we asked for extras or different things (ie a banana with porridge and almond milk) we would have enjoyed a more relaxed setting and perhaps more optionality for the price (for example a pastry and eggs rather than either or).
No shampoo/conditioner was a bit disappointing as I assumed for the quality/cost this would be included.
- Shelley (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): Perfect location (for what I wanted). Great breakfast selection and tasty evening meals - Hosts very welcoming. Lovely room and facilities. Good food The access road is narrow. Leave the Hummer behind and bring the small car!
- Stephen (8/5): Comfortable stay with Friendly hosts in an amazing location. - Fantastic location with amazing views from our room windows. Breakfast was delicious and a great choice of options. Owners very friendly and helpful . Definitely recommend this place .
- Richard (7/5): A very nice location, run like a country/family home, but some facilities limited considering price. - This is a mixed review, but I always start with the positives. I've reviewed hundreds of hospitality venues, and always give positives and negatives, because that's what reviews are for. The location is wonderful, up a steep, narrow road, so very private and with lovely mountain views. It's a country house, and run along those lines, so very welcoming as you arrive and enter what seems like a family home, with plenty of public rooms and facilities. The breakfast was superb on both days, and the staff very helpful and pleasant. On the down side, we arrived around 6.30pm, with the intention of getting to our room quickly to settle in, have a bath and then dine before bed. First of all, the hostess was chatting to other guests as we arrived, so although we were of course happy to wait a short time, it became apparent after several minutes that this, almost boarding school type briefing would go on for some time. Once we eventually got to our room, it was very small for a £125 a night (out-of-season!) rate, with barely any room to move around, without brushing up against the bed. There was no bath, although the shower was very good (how about a shelf for shampoo etc?)..and I really don't get why hoteliers think that a larger shower is better than a bath, when you can have a bath (women much prefer baths when away in my experience) and a shower over! We also found the very noisy bathroom door a total pain. Every time one of went to the loo during our two night stay, the door woke the other up, which became very tiresome indeed. Please fix the door, so it can be opened and shut quietly! We also had to ask for more toilet roll, and were asked why! Well, because one and a half small rolls isn't enough for two days and nights. Don't be stingy! Our main reason for scoring this property down is that, despite asking the day before to book in for dinner, we were told that they didn't serve dinner, even on Friday evenings. This is in spite of their 'two nights minimum stay' policy - AND the fact that they never thought to inform us about this strange omission. If you call yourselves a hotel, you should serve evening meals. It was a total pain to arrive, settle in, shower, change and drive into the village, when all we wanted to do was eat, drink and sleep. Not good at all - PLUS the fact that you sent us several messages via Booking.com (check-in times, directions etc) but never thought to mention that you don't serve food on a Friday. Very disappointing!
- Guy (9/5): -
- Nicholas (10/5): -
- Thomas (10/5): - The owners were so lovely and welcoming
Simple, clean with a warm welcome. Nothing to dislike
- Gethin (10/5): Would definitely return and stay here, the location was beautiful and perfect for getting to anywhere in the heartland o - The location is beautiful with panoramic scenery of Eryri.
- Manisha (9/5): A very pleasant traditional building with everything needed for a few days stay in an amazing location - Location exceptional but drive to property narrow and steep with no lights but perfectly accessible in a standard family saloon Shower drain needed clearing but continued to drain slowly
- Gareth (10/5): -
- Connor (10/5): -
- Sybrand (10/5): -
- Rudolf (9/5): Wunderschönes Anwesen im Snowdonia Nationalpark - Sehr schön gelegenes Haus mit behaglichen Aufenthaltsräumen und malerischem Garten. Jay bietet ein ausgezeichnetes Dinner an. Ein zauberhafter Ort. Die Anfahrt ist steil und sehr schmal.
- John (9/5): Superior Guest House - Comforable room, though a little dated. Beutifuk scenery, excellent food and attentitive staffl. Not a problem for us but some may find the approach road a bit challenging.
- Roger (8/5): - Breakfasts were good and the staff very friendly Slightly in need of a brightening up
- David (8/5): -
- Jacqueline (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. Sygun Fawr Country House has character, is clean, well maintained and set in a beautiful location. Our room had a stunning view. The food was delicious and we would highly recommend a holiday here.
- Vineta (9/5): -
- Simon (10/5): Relaxed atmosphere, wonderful food and brilliant location. - From the warmth and friendliness of the reception we received to the quality of the food, which was exceptional, we really couldn't fault anything. Sygun Fawr Country House is a true guest house, which was exactly what we were looking for, a relaxed atmosphire and like minded guests. The location is excellent too, just over half an hour from Portmerion, Mt Snowdon and Betws-y-Coed. Nothing. it would be difficult and 'nit-picking' to find anything that wasn't to the standard we were expecting. The drive from the main road to the guest house was a little challenging, quite a narrow country lane, but only to be expected in this part of Wales.
- Amy (10/5): Stunning house, beautiful area, and amazing staff. - The house was absolutely stunning. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the veiws were breathtaking!
Jessica and "T" were so helpful and genuinely wonderful people, and the staff are a credit to the house. There was nothing to dislike.
- Jayne (10/5): Beautiful location, staff super friendly - The breakfast was delicious, local produce fresh and served with a smile.
The room was very clean, bathroom was beautiful as was the scenery.
Couldn’t fault the location, attention to detail, staff etc Nothing, was perfect
- Alison (8/5): - Beautiful location with stunning views from the room. Lovely family run hotel very friendly and helpful.. Wonderful breakfast each morning It would have been helpful to know in advance for planning our days that dinner is only available Monday to Thursday.
- johan (8/5): -
- Julie (10/5): -
- Jessica (9/5): - The house and all the team were fantastic. The place is a gem surrounded by a beautiful garden. The breakfast menu offers a great variety of different well cooked dishes. We recommend this lovely house. At some point the bathroom needs a little more space for placing small wash bags.
- Justyna (10/5): - Beautiful surroundings.
