Guest Reviews
- Paul (10/5): - The spot is a hidden gem. I love the back stairs that lead to a private garden where I enjoyed a cup of coffee in the morning. The dinner that needs reservations is a bit misleading. They only have it three nights out of the week, and the total capacity is 15. Also, there is a pretty strict dress code, and no children are allowed. We could not partake because of those limitations.
- eamacgregor (10/5): Authentic experience mucho gusto! - As a family of five, we had two rooms and we stayed at the resort for seven nights. The people, the staff, the food, the whole experience was so authentic and we’re happy to hear that we are supporting a locally on business. The beach club access is amazing and we were there day in the pool with lots of loungers. It was a busy time of year because it is Easter. But it was so lovely to see all the local families celebrating together and they did their best to communicate with us and so did we.. Can’t recommend this hotel enough it’s our new favour and we will be back.
- rosannainsicily (8/5): Outstanding Staff, Lovely Beach Club and Calm, Swimmable Water - The Binniguenda hotel is staffed by very kind and helpful people who clearly take pride in their work. As an all-inclusive, I would not recommend a stay longer than a week or two max. We stayed for 3 and were very very tired with the food choices after only a few days. Unlike some places, there is only one restaurant and it is open to guests no more than once a week. The buffet was ok, but much of the food was on high rotation and not very inspiring. They clearly invest in their staff and not in the menu. That said, the rooms and common areas were very clean, the garden area was very nice and the gym was serviceable (I was usually the only one there). The beach and beach club and Niru hotel was a short 5 minute walk away (shuttle available) and it is the only place where you’ll find lounge chairs on that beach so it’s worth staying at binniguenda or Niru for that alone. We liked being in town rather than in the middle of nowhere where resorts are usually located. That said, I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the water this year and for that alone, I won’t go back. I love to swim, but most days and especially on days when a cruise ship was docked (happened 3 times), the water was cloudy and there was sometimes scum on top. Many guests took advantage of going to local restaurants to break up the sameness of the buffet but I didn’t want to risk getting sick. Very safe town, great weather (Pacific coast weather is always better than Caribbean weather) and if you are willing to explore nearby beaches, I’d recommend Huatulco.
- CharzyLV (8/5): Average co-inclusive resort - The resort was clean. The nightly shows were amazing. The service was great. The grounds were beautiful and lush, but the food was not good and the pool needs upgrading. This is definitely a family resort, lots of children. And when you check out at 12 o’clock, noon and your flight isn’t until 5 pm, they take away your all-inclusive band. So you don’t get what you fully pay for.👎🏼
Great perk, the Niru Beach club and pool. Way better vibe.
- T4977FCrobf (10/5): Great Beach Club! - The Binni was great value for your money.
We stayed in King Select room and my wife really enjoyed getting fresh coffee and treats every morning.
Beds were very soft, but we both slept well.
The beach club was a short walk away, and we walked it every day.
Shuttle if you want.
Beach club and the pool at the Niru was amazing!
- redRockLiz (6/5): Great until the end! - Our three week stay at the Binniguenda all inclusive resort was lovely. The location was central, the beach club was beautiful, the food was good and the staff was lovely. It was worth paying top dollar to stay at this beautiful resort. Our flight was at 6 pm
And we were being picked up by the shuttle at 3pm. Checkout was at noon and unfortunately our last memory of the Binniguenda left a bad taste after being nickel/dimed by the management and refused a drink or snack during the 3 hours prior to leaving. After spending thousands of dollars on our vacation this was a sad way to end it.
- Escape310807 (8/5): 3 weeks - Stayed here for 3 weeks in a select room late Feb early March 2026. Totally enjoyed our stay. The food was great, the staff superior, the hotel spotlessly clean. We did find it a tad noisy, the kids and adults in the pool certainly were fond of loud play. The entertainment every evening was a bonus that we really didn't partake in but certainly were aware it was going on , the sound travelled through the whole place, I do question the need for "nightly" entertainment and of course the daily rehearsal was somewhat distracting at times. The location is great, with the area being totally walkable at all times. The icing on the cake is the availability of the Niru Beach club which is absolutely lovely with full beach access and fabulous pool and shuttle every half hour (not to mention the daily buffet lunch). Overall it was generally a great experience and certainly something we would consider on our next trip to Huatulco.
- Paco609 (10/5): Great week at this hotel - Unbelievable, how friendly the staff and all the workers are at this hotel. Food was decent, but basic, drinks were good. my room was dated, but with no issues. also, a great area was the sister hotel that is by the beach, Great area for relaxing in the sun while having your lunch lunch or snack snacks. also at the beach club area awesome staff. You will encounter at least 50% Canadian, and 50% Mexicans at this hotel I will definitely come back..
- 807vivianas (10/5): Spring break 2026 - We had a great time at this hotel.. Erandy was awesome and amazing!! Provided lots of useful information and made our trip awesome 😀😀😀
- pkulhawy (10/5): March getaway - We vacationed in Cancun and the Dominican Republic but it was always in gated resorts with strong security. It was nice to just walk out the front door and see the real people and places. Front desk staff was excellent. Will return!
- egneil (8/5): Binniguenda - Great hotel, excellent staff, good location close to the beach & beach club. Rooms are clean and quiet. Only minor quibble was the food, buffet was just average and only one other restaurant on site that you can only access once during your stay (food just average there as well). But lots of great, cheap places to eat within walking distance
- FellowTraveler80404 (10/5): Excellent Stay at the Binniguenda Huatulco Hotel! - We really enjoyed our stay at the Binniguenda Huatulco hotel. The location and amenities were great, including the lovely gardens, the breakfast and dinner buffets were plentiful, varied and very tasty, the nightly shows were so entertaining and fun to watch, and having access to the Niru Beach Club was a great bonus.
Staff were also great, very friendly, attentive, and kind. The housekeeping staff kept the hotel and our room spotless. We would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return again soon.
- dmdaig (8/5): March Getaway - 1st time being a guest at Binniguenda . Enjoyed all the amenities. Gardens well kept, gardeners took pride in their work. pool was very relaxing. The hosted dinner was excellent, you should not miss out making a reservation. Evening entertainment was very enjoyable, performers offered an awesome show. Met some amazing people, locals and fellow travellers. Appreciated Binai, Carlos, Saul…..wonderful staff who took excellent care of my daughter and I. Shared lots of laughs. Freddie at Nirú was an absolute pleasure to chat with….made an excellent Caesar…..thank you…..looking forward to visiting again soon!
- kellysteven69 (10/5): 2026 vacation - Hotel and staff very nice friendly. Water activities at the beach were very safe and informative euciro and his boss were awesome. Buffet was very hit and miss, when they hit it was very good.
- timreturner (8/5): 2 weeks at Binniguenda - Six nights in a select king room, eight nights in a double bed room. The king room was nice, spacious. Enjoyed coffee on the deck everyday. Moved to the double for the 2nd week while we spent more time with friends off resort. The front desk was mostly helpful, though I have food allergies and while they tried to accommodate, there was some confusion. Over a two week period I had tried to contact Binniguenda several times prior to arrival to have a smooth visit, several emails and a phone call, then finally WhatsApp communication. I have a long list of allergies, but do not ask for substitutions. I keep things simple. Their initial response was not good. They immediately suggested we should find somewhere else to stay (by this point we were four days from arrival). The person responding did not identify their name or position. After much back and forth I managed to convey that we should be able to work it out. In the end I had great servers, and stuck with what I know. We did have a hick up with moving to our double room from the select. We confirmed twice when we should be ready to move out of the select, into the double. Then somehow our new room was not ready when promised, they tried to say we had to wait till 3pm for check in. We did not accept that, and when we pushed, they were able to get our room ready for close to the agreed upon time.
Overall the resort was as promised. The gym could use some updating. Small, some broken equipment, pretty sparse. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The caretakers and all staff were very friendly. I enjoyed meeting the grounds keeper each morning after my run as we tried to communicate. He and the concierge on day 12 were so very helpful when I came back to the resort with bloodied knees from a fall on bad pavement during my run. So kind and caring. The grounds keeper immediately cut aloe Vera off a plant out front and gave it to me to use on my wounds as soon as the concierge cleaned them with the first aid kit. I appreciate them very much!
I found it a bit odd that there are times when you can get served at the bar, however no food options. Normally if a resort is serving alcohol, they will also have some kind of food available. Once you set up at the beach club you could order drinks beginning at 10am, but lunch wasn’t open till 1pm. Dinner was later than we normally eat (doors didn’t open till 7:30) but snacks ended at 5:00 I believe. You had to plan for that
- laurakpaterson (10/5): Beautiful - This hotel was unlike any all inclusive we've ever stayed at. We loved the location, close to town where you could walk to the harbor and shops. The staff was incredible, all so very welcoming and warm. The food was all incredibly good. And the room was spectacular. We loved that it was on the smaller side which made everything feel more intimate. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this to family and friends.
- kathyandaldo (10/5): My wonderful vaca - the pool is very clean & inviting ( both pools) …ocean calm & very swimmable. Staff helpful &
always pleasant . Great variety of food . Met lots of new people who have been going to the
Binny for 17-21 years…amazing. Sure hope I can return.
- F9966RHwendyb (8/5): Fantastic Staff - We loved this hotel! The staff was great--helpful, friendly....all the things you want. I did rate "sleep" as a low score. The bed was good quality, but........ Every night the Huatulco party bus came in front of the hotel ever 15 minutes or so. Flashing lights into our room (even with the curtain closed), driver yelling into the loudspeaker, BOOM BOOM BOOM splitting your ears open......no sleep was had whatsoever. This is NOT something Binneguenda has control over, BUT it DOES impact their guests and their experiences at the hotel.
- bruceclarke2 (6/5): Nice Rooms. Great Staff. Food needs improvement - We stayed at the Niru Ocean Suites for 10 days in January of 2026. The property itself is in a great location with quick access to the beach and within easy walking distance of Santa Cruz and the nearby town of La Crucecita. The room we had was spacious and comfortable but there was no view and the only door/window opened up directly to a walkway. The service at the hotel is great and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was generally pretty good but the options are limited and gets repetitive quickly. Dinner was the same, The main issue we had with this hotel was their buffet restaurant. It was among one of the worst we have experienced in over 35 years of travel and we are generally not the type of people to complain when we're travelling and in another country. We ended up taking most of our meals outside of the hotel in the nearby towns of Santa Cruz and La Crucecita. Considering the price we paid and the expected 4 star level, this property has room to improve. The pools are nice but the way the property is situated, you'll only get sun on the upstairs pool until about 11:30 and then it will be in shade for the rest of the day so you'll then have to go down to the beach club which is also accessible by the public if they pay a fee to use the club for the day so it can get busy and a bit more crowded.
- cbatt4 (8/5): Good experience - Hotel was clean and the workers were all friendly . The buffet was at 7;30pm which was late and always seemed cold. They serve you so sometimes you got to much and sometimes not enough. Food was just ok. You didn’t over eat. Beds and pillows were very good. Entertainment was good.
- 453karap (10/5): Great Hotel !!! - We had a great week at the Niru! The staff was all wonderful and the hotel is pristine. We love the location - so easy to walk out and about and enjoy Huatulco
- Taylor (8/5): -
- jackiebV1168AI (10/5): Best store and experience I’ve ever had - Uno de los mejores resort I have ever in! From checking in all the way to the pool, the bartender’s food everything was amazing!
- batman779920 (2/5): Terrible Front Desk Stay Away! - Stayed from January 9-15 2026. Booked due to location, which was okay. First impression was okay, nothing great. Food was meh, rooms were always clean. Not much of a pool at the hotel, and no nightlife there. Smaller resort which was nice. 5 minute walk to the Niru Beach Club. Nice pool there and beach is very nice. Just get there a few minutes early before it opens as there was a line up every day and chairs would get scooped up fast. Freddie at the bar at Niru was awesome!..always happy and friendly. Supper not served until 7:30 pm, and other restaurants close at 5, which is odd. Trip was good until check out time. Spoke with Ulises at the front desk and asked him a couple questions regarding checkout. When it came time for checkout, he lied to us through his teeth, saying he didn't say what we had talked about, although three of us heard him. He continued lying, then brought some female who claimed to be a manager, who also continued to lie. Ulises wouldn't even look at me when I called him out on his numerous lies. Worst service ever. We had thought about returning next year, but after the 20 minutes of hell we endured at the front desk speaking with that lying POS, hell no. Would never be back, would never recommend this place to anyone. If I could give this place a zero, I would. This hotel is a 2 star at max. If it wasn't for the Niru Beach Club, this would be a 1 star. For the price we paid, expected more. The town itself is beautiful, weather was great, friendly locals. Would come back, but couldn't pay me to stay at this motel.
- joannedZ1208BN (8/5): Nice hotel - This is an older hotel in town. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It is a 5-10min. Walk to the Beach/Pool Club with a shuttle if needed. If this hotel did not have the club, I would not stay at it as I love having a view of the ocean when we are on a hot holiday.
- Alfredo (8/5): Excellent hotel, excellent staff (Julio always ready to help with a smile) - It was fine , very clean, staff was very friendly Breakfast open at 7:30 am and there is no coffee available in the public space (lobby)
- Terese (9/5): -
- Giovani (8/5): - Value No parking on site
- patriciapP759RQ (6/5): Unable or unwilling to resolve guest issues - Food mediocre, breakfast and dinner start too late, unable to fulfill guest request for room change. Older part needs upgrade. Will not return.
- rcano1963 (4/5): Disappointed - This resort was disappointing overall. While the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a persistent sewer-like odor and very low water pressure. I had to put towels over both of the drains in the bathroom to keep the odour out.
One restaurant on site. Flies everywhere, including on and in the food. Only one repetitive fish offering covered in a different sauce every night. no other seafood. Servers didn't use gloves to handle food and much of the food was not kept at a proper temperature on the buffet. Hygiene was a concern due to flies present in the restaurant And landing on the food
Service was almost non existent if you were a solo female diner. Restaurant hours were extremely limited and And you had to go offsite for lunch on a shuttle bus which ran every half hour
. You were restricted to the restaurant when eating - Someone at the door prevented you from taking the food poolside. Communication was difficult due to extremely limited English spoken by staff. Basically, although friendly staff were not helpful.
The adults only Pool was not that at all. Tons of kids in it at all times.
The entertainment, such as it was was barely more than high school musical level. I didn't bother going after the first night.
If you treat this as a basic hotel, and you go out to eat and not as an all inclusive Then it may be worth going to. But as an all-inclusive, it is bad.
- AnicaG_12 (10/5): Quaint, authentic Mexican style hotel - There's so much we enjoyed about this hotel! Firstly, the staff - numerous, helpful, friendly, kind and welcoming. Well-maintained and clean, and potable drinking water - a big bonus! The evening entertainment - those young people are so energetic and fun to watch - we went 7 times!! New Years Eve at Niru was wonderful. It was great to spend our holiday with so many Mexican families. We really enjoyed the authentically Mexican buffet - the atole, Oaxacan chesse, quesadillas, tlayudas, uniquely Oaxacan tamales. We even tried crickets at a restaurant down the street. The beaches in the area are natural with golden sand and clear water. We enjoyed El Organo twice, as well as Santa Cruz Beach where Niru is located - nice to sit by the infinity pool and enjoy a drink. Also, fun to be on the beach with so many families enjoying time together. The Binni is not a mega resort with loud music and zumba by pool - it's an authentic experience and we LOVED it! Our first time in Huatulco and we plan to go back!

- Brenda (9/5): Great service and perfect location - The hotel is comfortable, clean and well kept. The staff are wonderful. The Beach Club option is really adds to the experience.
- Sari (7/5): Small resort with everything you need. Not exceptionally luxurious, but staff were excellent. - The staff were amazing. The pool was clean with a great view of the ocean! The room was clean and comfortable. The resort was small and easily accessible. The building is fairly old and a bit dated. The food was decent. Not a ton of variety since it is a small resort. The rooms are not on the beach but we didn’t mind the walk to the beach club.
- Janet (7/5): Great value and excellent staff and service. - The staff are very kind and friendly. Access to Niru beach club was lovely. Pool at Binniguenda looks tired. Appreciate the authentic theme. Great entertainment. Pool area needs attention with cleaning and upkeep. Walls need washing.
- Rodney (10/5): Wonderful relaxing atmosphere - Shuttle in air conditioned van to beautiful beach club. Nice pool at the hotel. Food at buffet is varied and no long line ups for food. Staff are wonderfully friendly and attentive. Lots of local Mexican families stay here. Nothing everything is great
- karlalR4626NF (10/5): Fun! Family oriented, really good drinks and food. Nice shows at night for the whole family to gather around and enjoy - Very nice place to visit, have a great dance crew. Keeps you on your toes to see what’s next. Really nice amenities. Will make sure to be back soon!
- Ana Aida (6/5): - it was okay for the price
- Alma (8/5): -
- Laura (10/5): UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE - Everything and everyone from your reception desk to the ladies cleaning the hotel. The dancers were our friends. Everyone was so welcoming. Patricio, David, Pamela, Alfonso, Sylvia, and I can't name all. Thank you for making this trip unforgettable. We cannot wait to come back with our kids. VIVA MEXICO! I LOVE THIS COUNTRY. YOUR KIDS WILL LOVE THIS HOTEL That I had to leave. 😢
- Rene (10/5): - I just love it!
- Hector M (6/5): - to much light in rooms ,roos too small didnt like view to street
- Dani R. (8/5): - Everything was wonderful, the staff and the attention.
- Marco (10/5): - Good service
- kors3500 (10/5): Recommended family place - Place is very nice, very good service, food, drinks, night view inside resort is also beautifull, niru beach club is a big plus.Evening show is also 👍👍
Wi-fi was not good at all
and the last bar closes at 11pm, more like family place.
- Pasha (9/5): Recommended more like family place - Very good Views, food, drinks, service, show Wifi, last bar closes at 11pm
- Raul (6/5): - Good hotel to stay with the family, food could be better.
- Veronica (4/5): - I didn’t like there services no one there is polite
- Oscar (2/5): - This was one of our worst experiences at a hotel. This hotel
- Elsi c (8/5): - The
- Maria (2/5): - It was a promotional fraud. The pictures shown in promoting the package do not reflect the reality of the resort. The package was purchased based in the picture of the beach club pool and access to the beach. You all fail to specify that there's 2 buildings in the resort. Very disappointed, there's no words to explain.
- Margarita (10/5): - Every one is very friendly and good drinks
- Kathryn (8/5): - The staff was helpful and friendly, the pool and gardens are beautiful. They share a beach club with another resort so you have to be aware of shuttle times. The food was fairly good, buffet so not always hot. We saw a great show.
- Borayin (8/5): Great for a family stay. As a vegetarian think about i twice (or hope they read reviews and improve) - The beach club is a super plus! It is a 5 minute drive from the hotel. But there is a shuttle every 30 minutes. The staff is just amazing! Everyone gets out of their way to help and be kind to the guests. The night shows were amazing! The performers take time to have breakfast with the guests and tell you about their shows and careers. Super family friendly. The food options for vegetarians are not great. We had to be very creative to find a main course for every meal. All the soups are chicken broth based. We unfortunately also got a belly bug once (which is kind of ok, considering it is a buffet meal and the high temperatures). For the all inclusive price we had expected better meal options. The WiFi needs to be improved.
- Marlene (10/5): awesome - amazing place, delicious food great service
- Josie (10/5): Paradise in the jungle - It was amazing their food and beverages as well as their entertainment and location was perfect
- SERGIO (10/5): - Muy rica la comida
- mariT6045IH (10/5): What a great vacation! - We absolutely loved this hotel. We were worried about Hurricane Erick, but we missed it by a week. We traveled from June 25-July 2. It was hot, but there was no rain during the day. There was only one night during our stay that it rained. We lived the food and the staff the most. Everyone was so nice and friendly, especially toward our children. This is a very family friendly resort where children are very much welcomed. We loved the pool area and also loved that we were able to visit their sister hotel Niru. Thank you for making our stay so great. We will definitely return.
We highly recommend the 7 bahias tour. Also the Cascadas (waterfall) tour.
- Maria (10/5): - Great hotel! Very friendly and caring staff, especially toward children. We loved the pool and our room was very comfortable. We loved that we could visit the pool and beach next at their sister hotel Niru! 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for a warm, laid back and family atmosphere. Just bring lots of bug repellent because the mosquitos are very much out to get you!
PS we highly recommend the 7 bahias tour, the Cascadas (waterfall) tour, and definitely check out playa la Entrega! It’s very close to the hotel, about a 15 minute drive in a taxi.
- eva (2/5): - This is by far one of the worst properties I have stayed at. If you want to take a trip back in time this hotel is for you. There have been no updates made to this hotel since the 1980s. The food at this hotel is inedible, some of the worst I’ve had. The property also did not state the pool was out of service. Please do not be fooled by the pictures provided to Expedia by hotel. The beach club is nowhere near the hotel. For the price we paid definitely not worth it. The only positive were the public beaches, where we were able to obtain good food at local eateries.
- Mary Dolores (2/5): Go somewhere else - Terrible Stay never again from front desk to the sad food they served .
Didn’t let me know pool would be out the wall over my room entrance was falling down , AC didn’t work well I was always hot
Food was always the same #hit with those worm flys over it leaving there worms
Whole trip was a waste
- Ana (5/5): Very expensive for the service and facilities they offer - Food was good but not enough variety Very poor internet
Not clean enough
- Carlos (10/5): - I just loved the shows every night at 9 pm and every day was a different theme of shows not only Mexican but from all the world.
I will definitely will be back to this hotel
- Leticia (8/5): - The housekeeping staff covered all the bases but missed on some of the minor stuff like refilling the minibar and water jar.
- Cecilia (10/5): - Every year I visit Huatulco and Binniguenda is always the best option by far.
Its a beautiful hotel, win a beautiful bay with great staff and great food,
