- Guido (10/5): Un Riad elegante, pulito e affascinante, con stanze ampie e una vista splendida sulla città. - Il Riad Layla è una struttura davvero molto bella, pulita ed elegante. La nostra stanza era incredibilmente grande, spaziosa e confortevole. Un altro punto di forza assoluto è la terrazza: bellissima e con una vista davvero importante e suggestiva sulla città antica e sul verde circostante. Nel complesso è stato tutto eccellente e di alto livello. L'unica nota dolente del nostro soggiorno è stato l'odore di fognatura proveniente dal bagno.

- BeaHD (8/5): Tolles Riad in der Medina von Fès - Das Riad ist wunderschön und großzügig eingerichtet (Royal Suite) . Die Lage ist am Rande der Medina, die wichtigsten Dinge sind fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Frühstück gibt es auf einer schönen Dachterrasse mit Blick über Fès. Das Personal war freundlich, besonders der Mann an der Rezeption, der gefühlt rund um die Uhr vor Ort war. Zimmer und Bad sind unfassbar dunkel. Das recht bequeme Doppelbett liegt auf einer Art Galerie, die über ein etwas abenteuerliche, sehr enge Wendeltreppe zu erreichen ist. Prinizipell ist die Gegend sehr laut, die Gassen sind sehr schmal, der Schall geht nach oben. Eigentlich geht man aber in der Medina von Fès davon aus, weswegen das nicht unbedingt als negativ zu werten ist.

La nostra camera Salma un po’ scura con finestre che danno solamente sull’atrio interno. Le cene consumate in un magnifica terrazza panoramica un po’ al freddo.

- Gerard (10/5): Aanrader voor een paar dagen Fes! - Prachtige locatie aan de rand van de medina. Een goede gids aanbevolen waar we de mooie plekjes van de medina hebben bezocht. Prachtige kamers. Ontbijt erg lekker. Laatste ochtend vroeg weg en stond er een take-away klaar, goed geregeld!

The view from the terrace is unbeatable. Paid underground parking near the main square at a walking distance. Location is superb, right in the middle of the medina. Highly recommend!

Le lendemain nous changions de Riad. - La vue depuis la terasse Dès notre entrée dans la chambre, une très forte odeur de bois nous a envahit les narines (écurie). La ventilation de la salle de bain est trop bruyante. La tuyauterie de la douche fuit passablement ce qui génère un bruit d écoulement constant pendant de longues minutes. La chambre est sombre, nous avions la chambre « mezzanine » Petit déjeuner sur le toit terrasse mais pas agréable au vu de la fraîcheur du matin.

Het parkeren verliep niet zo vlot als vooraf verwacht, het leek alsof ze echt een plek voor ons hadden maar het was op goed geluk op straat, wel goed geholpen door Mohammed.

La decoración de la terraza es muy bonita y elegante, igual que la habitación, que es muy cómoda. La ubicación es excelente, cerca de la puerta principal a la medina, pero accesible en coche (el taxi nos dejó a un minuto caminando). El agua se sale de la ducha y queda el baño empapado. Podrían arreglarlo con una mampara.
- Anwer (9/5): A Good Place to Stay while visiting Fes - Lovely place to stay in Fes, was very impressed with the traditional architecture of the property. Apparently rated one of the best back in 2016 though I think the rooms maybe due for an uplift now. We had two rooms and one of our rooms was upgraded. They serve a decent breakfast and the overall price/value was reasonable. The Wifi worked well and we made our online reservations for the Sahara desert tour from here..... In order to stay competitive I believe the rooms could do with an uplift; the traditional room lacked outlets for charging our various devices, phones, iPads etc. We had to disconnect the lamps from the sockets to charge our devices

- LILIANA (10/5): - Il Riad è in un'ottima posizione. Fuori dal caos dalla Medina ma veramente centralissimo, a 5 minuti a piedi dalla porta blu, in zona tranquilla e molto sicura. É molto bello e raffinato. Colazione deliziosa in TERRAZZA con vista strepitosa e prodotti buonissimi. Stanza grande molto ben arredata. Pulitissima e con climatizzatore. Letto veramente comodissimo. Ci ha accolto e poi servito un signore gentilissimo che non parlava il francese ma che con il suo garbo si faceva perfettamente capire. Riad davvero strepitoso

- Antonio (10/5): La vera accoglienza marocchina! - Bellissima esperienza, personale molto accogliente, atay (tè alla menta) offerto dalla struttura, terrazza in cui fare colazione bellissima e ben attrezzata. La colazione è cambiata nei due giorni che sono stato li ed era abbondante e buona. Latifa e l’altro ragazzo sono eccezionali e ti aiutano in tutto, le signore che si occupano della cucina sono gentili e sorridenti. La Suite Sara è bellissima, aria condizionata funzionante, il bagno era moderno e bello. Decorazioni marocchine, luci soffuse. Tutto perfetto.

Понравились в ванной комнате шампуни и мыла с очень приятным запахом. Красивая уютная терраса, где мы завтракали, и можно было заказать ужин. Хорошее местоположение риада, пешком можно обойти все достопримечательности. Ванная комната нуждается в ремонте, но это нам никак не мешало наслаждаться отдыхом. Была большая слышимость по всему отелю, но мы к этому были готовы.

- Hadeel (10/5): A charming and authentic riad experience in the heart of Fez with great hospitality. - The riad is stunning—traditional Moroccan architecture with beautiful tilework and a peaceful courtyard. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast on the terrace with a view of the medina was fantastic. The location is excellent for exploring Fez on foot. The room was a little dark, and Wi-Fi was occasionally weak in some areas, but it wasn’t a major issue.

We adored Latifa, who shared so many tips with us. She gave great restaurant recommendations and helped us figure out how to navigate the souk without a guide. She also recommended and made reservations at a hammam for us, which we really enjoyed! There are so many great Riads to choose from, but the staff at this one is what took a good stay to great!

- Marangely (10/5): - Riad Layla have everything: great service, convenient location, good breakfast. When arriving, my taxi called reception and they were waiting for me at the end point for vehicles which was great. The Riad is like 5 minutes walk from the meeting point of the majority of the tours. If you have an early tour, they will pack your breakfast to go which was a thoughtful detail. The Riad is beautiful and peaceful inside, with a great view of sunset and Medina from the rooftop. The only thing that I don’t recommend is the hammam which felt rushed and improvised, the music was literally from a cellphone speaker and the drink was a room temperature water bottle that I saw when they took it out from the storage. No privacy to make yourself comfortable before the hammam or when waiting for the massage. Also expensive compared to what other hammam experiences offer outside.

- Wolfgang (6/5): Adequate accommodation, but overall a little disappointing. - Our experience is tainted by the wet and miserable weather we had during our stay. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the beds were very good. The heating in the room worked well too. They provided us with a good umbrella! No drinking water provided in room, nor any facility for making own tea/coffee. No other communal area to sit in except roof terrace, which we couldn’t use because of the rain.This was also the only place we stayed at in Morocco where we were not welcomed with tea and refreshment of any kind. It had a pre-season feel to it. Room was a bit dark because the lampshades were all black.
- Georgios (8/5): Centrally Riad but wouldn’t go back - Centrally located and beautiful renovated Riad in the heart of Fes. The staff was polite and the breakfast was decent but nothing special. The only important negative point was that there was a distinct sewage smell in our room and the Riad that made us not wanting to come back. When we asked the manager he told it is coming “from the wood” but clearly the smell was not that…We stayed in many Riads across our trip to Morocco and this was the only one either that issue. Unfortunately for that reason I wouldn’t recommend/going back.

- Ayman (4/5): Disappointing - My wife and I booked this riad as part of our honeymoon tour, hoping for a memorable stay. Before our arrival, I reached out to request some special arrangements, but the hotel's response was underwhelming. Instead of offering thoughtful gestures, they simply stated, "The rooms are decorated in a traditional style; she will like it," and suggested adding candles—for €10 each. Overall, the riad was just okay compared to others we stayed at, but what really stood out was the disruption caused by the receptionist’s phone alarm, which woke us up—an avoidable and frustrating disturbance. If this riad is your only option, it will suffice, but if you have alternatives, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for a better experience.

- Alasdair (10/5): A warm welcome in Fes - A lovely Riad just on the edge of the Medina. Latifa gave us the most warm welcome and it was a great spot to begin our Fes adventure. I am coeliac and require a gluten free diet and had advised them of this in advance. Every day there were different choices of gluten free pancakes, little cakes and Moroccan flatbread for breakfast as well as delicious fresh orange juice, GF yogurt and a good pot of tea. Latifa was very helpful on excursions and sat down with us to work out the best way to do things. The room was kept very clean. The terrace is lovely but it was a bit too cold for us to sit out for long. It would be a lovely place to have breakfast during spring and summer. Our flight out was very early but a member of staff was there to provide a packed breakfast and see us on our way. An excellent place to stay. As others have said, the walls are thin and you can hear other guests. We were there in the winter and some nights we were the only guests there so it didn’t matter but I can imagine it could be noisy if it was full.

They helped us with all the local advice, tips, taxi arrangements and organized also very nice dinner at the rooftop and hammam! Thank you very much! Walls are a bit thin so you may hear some noise from the street or outside the room. Having a TV in the room would be great!
- Maree (10/5): A beautiful Riad, with an amazing host in a great location. - Beautiful large room. Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast on the rooftop was breathtaking. Our host Muhammod was extremely accommodating. From meeting us at the edge of the medina and carrying our luggage to the riad, organising an awesome guide to take us through the medina and other locations, being available by phone any time of the day or night if we needed his assistance with anything. I cannot speak highly enough of Muhammod. They even had a packed breakfast ready for us to take to the airport the following morning as we had a very early flight. That we didn't spend longer here.

- Christopher J (10/5): Just Incredible Stay at Riad Layla - Thank you Riad Layla for being such a wonderful place to stay! If I could give this place 10 stars I would, I loved my stay at this Riad. Every single member of the staff I interacted with was just beyond nice and incredible. The room (Zaina) was a perfect rest and recovery after the Sahara. The hammam was incredible and I felt like a new person afterwards. I had two breakfasts and one dinner at the Riad - never disappointed, the food was so full of flavour. The Riad is relatively easy to find and once you get a hang of some local landmarks (fountain, road access, etc.) it is very easy to navigate around. Safety and security is not an issue here. If I ever return to Fes/Fez, there is no other place I would even think about staying at!
