We stayed in the adult section and it felt like paradise; we didn’t even have to leave our room to admire the view of the rainforest and the ocean. We were lucky enough to be entertained by the monkeys while we ate lunch or relaxed by the pool. Just something to be aware of: The beach is a farther walk than advertised. Still walking distance, but the route requires you to walk on the street without sidewalks, and a good portion is uphill.

- Uta (10/5): Traumhaft - Das Costa Verde ist eine wunderschöne grüne Oase mit vielen Tieren, vor allem überall Affen, Leguane in allen Grössen und Tucanen. Man fühlt sich direkt sehr wohl. Unser Zimmer hatte von der Terrasse aus eine traumhafte Aussicht aufs Meer. Im Bad gab es nur einen offenen Mülleimer- das ist bei dieser Wärme ungünstig.

- Alexandra (9/5): Wunderbares Hotel zum erholen - Ein wunderbares Hotel zum Erholen mit viel Privatsphäre und einer sehr ruhigen Atmosphäre. Alles war äußerst sauber, und die Anlage liegt mitten im Dschungel, was den Aufenthalt besonders einzigartig macht. Von der Poolterrasse aus hat man eine herrliche Aussicht auf das Meer – ein echtes Highlight. Insgesamt war es ein tolles Erlebnis und definitiv das beste Hotel auf unserer Costa-Rica-Reise. Das Hotel ist ideal zum Entspannen und bietet zudem besondere Naturerlebnisse, da man beispielsweise Leguane direkt am Pool beobachten kann. Durch die erhöhte Lage ist es außerdem angenehm kühl und nicht zu heiß, was den Erholungsfaktor zusätzlich steigert. Insgesamt ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel und ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt.

- Sandra (7/5): Tiere und Zimmer top - Rest flop - Haben so viele Tiere von unserer Terrasse gesehen Hatten traumhaften Meerblick Eine Aussenküche Beim Duschen Meerblick In der Anlage muss man sehr viel gehen, bergauf, bergab, Treppen, um zu den Pools, zum Restaurant oder Rezeption zu kommen HOTEL bietet shuttle an, aber darauf muss man dann lange warten Dass für 250euro pro Nacht kein Frühstück inkludiert ist, ist absolut nicht tragbar Man hört die Autos und Trucks vorbei fahren, da es an einer Hauptstraße liegt Um an den Strand zu kommen, geht man bergab die Hauptstraße

- leo (7/5): Bof on ne reviendra sûrement pas - Très bien installé dans la nature , chambre confortable , belle piscine .Proche parc national Manuel Antonio Personnel juste à changer au complet : a l’accueil les deux personnes juste blasées, faisant la gueule perpétuellement ne donnant que partiellement les informations et en plus peu avenantes . Au restaurant ( le wagon) le personnel est fait de juste des petits jeunes de 20 /25 ans ,sans compétence , on se croirait chez un fameux fast food américain , la personne à la caisse blasée ne portant aucun intérêt au client . Nourriture bof, ( pizza à la pâte médiocre, peu de garniture , dessert surgelés )au prix exorbitant , bref allez manger en ville vous trouverez beaucoup mieux .

- Fathead5150 (10/5): OUTSTANDING - There are many monkeys everywhere for your enjoyment, the entire hotel rooms and outdoor areas are immaculate, their service using the WhatsApp app was exceptional. We reached out to them consistently for different things like locking ourselves out of a room, needing a ride to a hotel or from the restaurant, etc., and they were ON IT. Less than 1-2 minutes. and You all have been absolutely amazing. I’ve never had such outstanding customer service. Thank you so much for making our vacation that much better and that much more memorable. Really appreciate everything you’ve done. OH! And our view was DYNAMITE with a junior suite in the adult section.

- 405audreyk (10/5): Hotel Costa Verde! Sloth Sighting! - We really enjoyed this hotel. Great weather, great food and great people! The Capuchin monkey were very entertaining as they say if really does feel like there are "more monkey than people". We stayed in one of the bungalows and we really enjoyed having our own balcony and kitchen. In fact, on our last day we looked out and were amazed to see a mama and baby sloth up in the tree. We captured some amazing video and photographs. The only complaint we had was the noise from the traffic coming and going well into the night when we were trying to get to sleep. We chose to walk everywhere but there was a shuttle available as the hotel property is on quite a steep hill. We would go back for sure!

- 5AndrewB (10/5): Absolutely amazing hotel - Absolutely amazing, this hotel is very nice our room was very spacious had everything you needed, fridge cooker and cutlery+ plates. Even a bath on the balcony which we never used due to the monkeys. Only ate breakfast there and that was plentiful. Try the American breakfast highly recommended but be watchful of the monkeys. We used the adults area pool which was nice. Must see sunset from there, Had a pool bar and the young lady behind there was very pleasant, plenty of restaurants nearby but very hilly. Quepos is a nice town to visit and the marina

Je kunt het het beste vergelijken met een vakantiepark. Leuk dat er allerlei dieren loslopen en te zien zijn vanuit ja kamer, zwembad en bij de restaurants. Goed ontbijt dat je a la carte kunt bestellen tegen redelijke prijzen. Het is jammer dat er alleen bij het adults only zwembad een poolbar is

Les restaurants (wagon et avion) pas mal du tout! Le personnel est carrément désagréable et vraiment pas aidant Une seule serviette par personne ( pour la douche, les mains et la piscine) vous ne pouvez aller l’échanger que à la réception (10 minutes à pieds et en montée depuis notre chambre) Pas de petit dej compris et celui proposé dans le resto de l’hôtel n’etait pas à notre goût (de français) Hotel très étalé, en fonction de l’emplacement de votre chambre vous risquez de devoir beaucoup beaucoup marcher pour aller à la piscine Mauvaise insonorisation entre les chambres

- R9947QEdawnh (10/5): Last leg of holiday sun - This is a nice hotel, great views, although it is not for everyone. It is on hills and stairs so not for someone who finds walking challenging. There is plenty of wildlife around, toucans, macaws, monkeys agouti and iguanas. The hotel does offer a shuttle to restaurants but you need to get to reception first. These restaurants have a great selection. Pool areas are nice especially the adult only one. Staff helpful and friendly. Would I stay or recommend it yes but would be choosy who too due to location

- nelsonsherribebe (10/5): Hotel Costa Verde - My husband and I stayed here for our winter getaway and it did not disappoint. The grounds were well kept and you are surrounded by lush jungle. There are so many species that it's difficult to compile a list. If you want to see wildlife, this is the place to be. From scarlet macaws, to howler monkey and so much more. We were fortunate enough to see a Puma wandering around during our stay. The villa we had was wonderful with a balcony overlooking the ocean. There was a hotplate (two burners) fridge and microwave for those who want to cook. For those who don't want to cook, there are five restaurants on the grounds and three pools all within walking distance. It is situated right next door to Manuel Antonio National Park (also a wonderful place to experience.) It is hilly, so it may present a challenge for those with limited mobility. Wear decent shoes! It was everything we hoped for and so much more!

We did utilize the pools, lots of wildlife (monkeys, macaws, etc) and multiple eating locations within walking distance (albeit, expensive). Will stay here again if/when we return
- kgamow (10/5): An absolute gem of a hotel nestled in the jungle and filled with wild animals - We were blown away by the beauty of this property. We were in a very lovely large studio with windows on two sides. One side, looking into the jungle and the other overlooking the ocean.A large deck with rocking chairs. Great sunset to use. Honestly it was hard to even to leave the hotel to go explore. The breakfast place was wonderful with also stunning views of the ocean, and great entertainment from the monkeys, if you got there early enough inthe morning. We saw loads of monkeys all over this property, including someone on our deck. And the restaurants on site were also wonderful. I think this was our favorite Stoppe in all of Costa Rica because of the richness of the wildlife both on the property and at the nearby national park. If I were to come back, I would come here and spend more time. Note that there are steep walks throughout the hotel property, but that you can WhatsApp the front desk anytime and within about five minutes somebody will come and pick you up and drop you off anywhereon the property that you would like to go.

- dmilner1408 (10/5): Stunning location - Even though we were assigned a probably the worst room (view) in the whole hotel (B5) we still loved our stay. The view from the adult only pool is simply breathtaking. Grounds are lovely, with beautiful greenery and animals such as monkeys and iguanas. The room itself was big and comfortable. Note that hotel is on a steep hill so if you are unfit or have mobility issues- you will struggle. However, the hotel provides a courtesy car to take guests around the very large site. It is a unique hotel, with old planes incorporated into its landscape. Highly recommended. A couple of points - sun loungers at the adult pool could do with an update, the beautiful Anaconda lunch / breakfast bar perhaps could have been open for sunset evening drinks. On a side - there is no nightlife so if you are a party goes - not a place for you. We had lovely meals at the hotel's restaurants but by 10 p.m. everything shuts down. This was not a problem for us. We cannot emphasise the hotel's stunning location and how it is beautifully built into the forest.

- Gilles (8/5): Lovely place, great location and facilities, shame about the traffic noise - Great set up with very good facilities. Our room was spacious with an amazing view over the ocean. The kitchen area was very good, well equipped and very clean. Likewise, the bathroom was also spacious and clean. Location is excellent if you enjoy the close vegetation, howling monkeys and birds all around. Lovely swimming pools too. Our balcony offered a wonderful view, the only thing that let it down was the significant traffic noise. Unbearable traffic noise from the road at times. We were in Zone E and located directly above the road. The noise in the morning and evening was so loud that we could not even talk to each other on the lovely balcony we had with our room, that was a real shame. So much so, that we had to retreat inside on several occasions.

Wir konnten schon vom Zimmer aus Affen, Agutis und viele Vögel bestaunen. Die Restaurants hatten faire Preise und die Speisekarte war sehr vielfältig. Unser Zimmer lag nah zur Straße, das hat uns aber nicht gestört. ./.

- Guide277895 (8/5): Enjoyable stay - We really enjoyed our stay at Costa Verde. The room we had was in the adults only building and we had a two-bed room with living area and kitchen. The room definitely needs an update, but was clean and well furnished. Lots of lighting and outlets and a/c functioned well. The service and food were excellent and the view was gorgeous. We really enjoyed the wildlife and natural setting of the hotel. It is well situated near the beach and downtown. The shuttle service was much appreciated and security was as well. The one major flaw is that you only get one towel per person and if you need to get a clean one you have to return the original one. It would be helpful if they gave two per person instead. Not sure why they do this, have never had this experience before, it was a bit annoying.

A parte il fatto che ci sono le scimmiette che giocano sul terrazzo davanti alla tua camera (wow), è veramente organizzato alla perfezione e lo staff è super. Per i miei gusti l’arredo sarebbe da rifare, ma capisco lo stile. Il bagno della camera però lascia abbastanza a desiderare se devo essere onesta.

We enjoyed the monkey entertainment during our stay, got to know the “regular” iguana that hung out at the adult pool, I called him George! Our toilet was broken and we had to contact them 3 times. It was still not fixed totally, we just gave up calling them and would fill up the tank ourselves. Front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired. We have been to numerous spots in costa rica, and this front desk staff was the least friendly and helpful.

We were here 7 days in early December for a friend’s wedding. Overview: Staff: Shoutout to the staff from the reception, cleaning staff, bartenders/servers, and security team. This place was beautiful, clean, safe and very friendly - this level of service is worth coming back to alone. They also used what’s app to make it convenient to communicate with the front desk if you needed assistance including help booking excursions and tours (more on those below) Transportation: They conveniently have a shuttle you can pre-arrange for pickup and drop off. Location & Grounds: Conveniently located within a 15 min walk to the beach or 20 min drive Manuel Antonio National Park, the nature was breathtaking and we saw so many cool creatures at the park but we almost saw even more at our hotel from cute monkeys playing in trees, sloths hanging out, and even toucans dropping by it was unreal. Tours: The hotel works with local trusted partners and can assist you in booking tours with the providers directly. We did the chocolate tour and waterfall (Nauyaca) tour and would definitely recommend those to others who are curious. Food: There are 5 associated restaurants on-site and all were good. Our favourites were Anaconda Cafe for breakfast (lots of monkeys to be seen) and La Chiquita. There are also more restaurants just beyond where the hotel shuttle drops you off at the top of the hill and recommend checking those ones out as there are some real gems that the locals love as well. Special shut out to Agua Azul phenomenal fresh food and service. Tips: - Bring lots of cash (USD is accepted) as you will want tip and can get some discounts on tours and gifts vs paying by card -In the rainy season transition period we were in it’s always better to do your activities in the early morning -If you can take the really early or late shuttles to and from the airport, traffic is bad during the day often requiring 4-6 hours vs the 2.5 hrs in early morning and evenings

- MattMitchell352 (10/5): Beautiful hotel and a welcoming place to stay - You cannot beat the views and the convenience that this hotel offers to its guests. Even from our relatively humble room in the sprawling property, our view of the beach was spectacular. The food at all the hotel restaurant properties was great (Anaconda Cafe for breakfast, El Wagon for pizza, El Avión for nice dinners). The staff was very kind and accomodating, and the complimentary shuttle service to on site properties was a great perk that made traveling to restaurants a breeze. And yes, the place is teeming with monkeys and other wildlife. Other than having to guard your breakfast like a hawk - the monkeys are BRILLIANT thieves - they are a fun part of staying here. We loved it here, and are happy to recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay in Manuel Antonio.

- Ellen (9/5): - Room was interesting with a little kitchenette and a huge terrace which was beautiful. The hotel grounds are huge with multiple restaurants. We liked the El Avion restaurant and it was better value than many other restaurants we saw in the area. The pools are beautiful, especially the adults-only one with an amazing view. The hotel is close to Manuel Antonio but you still have to drive there.
