It is not fancy, but well maintained, with many points of beauty, including pictures, quilts, and wall hangings.The communal breakfast is tasty and leads to interesting and entertaining conversation among the guests. The owner/operators pay attention to detail to make the stay enjoyable. There are no TV's but the WiFi is good. It is well situated, near to central Cloudcroft and it fits in well with the low-key, yet stimulating environment of this beautiful mountain town. If you want all the hotel amenities, go somewhere else, but if you want a comfortable, centering, enjoyable stay, Crofting Inn is a good choice.
- Robert (4/5): Cute place- awful bed. - The place is quite cozy and the host is super friendly. The hot breakfast was also exceptional. Unfortunately the bed was simply awful- the worst I can recall ever sleeping in. It was thin, completely worn out and led to the worst night sleep I have had in a very long time.

- Carla (6/5): - A quaint historic Inn filled with all sorts of trinkets located a few blocks from the old town. It’s easily walkable down a small gravel road. The proprietor lives off premises. The floors creak and our room had slanted floors especially in the bathroom which added to the charm of the place. The towels smelled mildewed. No toiletries except for soap at the sink. The mattress very soft & uncomfortable, the pillows flat. Thank goodness we had our own with us since we’d been camping prior to this stop. Our camp mattress much more comfortable just sayin. A small continental style breakfast was offered ( an egg pastry of some sort, a fruit cup , a muffin & a small juice. We were still hungry & kept expecting more to be offered but no such luck. I’m not sure I would return or recommend at least not the room we got ( Kurt’s)

- Go789963 (8/5): Nice and comfortable. - The home is quaint and cozy. The couple who run it are friendly and competent. The home is not IN town but is only a few blocks away. One can walk there, if desired. One can even go 1 more block to even more shops, restaurants, and bars. If you want a quiet, comfortable place to stay in, this is it.

- OnAir04284841464 (2/5): Would not stay here - Bed was so uncomfortable and very cheap bed. The rug looked like it hadn’t been washed in years. The bathroom has a kid toilet and I couldn’t stand in the bathtub shower the ceiling was to low. It had an old plastic shower curtain around the claw tub. Overall it needs lots of work
- William (6/5): The Crofting Inn, Cloudcroft, New Mexico - The Crofting Inn is located about three blocks south of the main highway through Cloudcroft. I arrived hungry at about dark. The innkeeper provided instructions on how to get to one restaurant which was still open. Cloudcroft is a small town but has several places to eat and a convenience store which sells lots of food items. The innkeeper does not live in the facility itself. Entrance requires a code after dark.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Last Minute Stay in Cloudcroft - This was a last minute stay in Cloudcroft and we weren’t disappointed. Such sweet owners! The B&B has a lot of character and all rooms have a balcony. Would stay here again!

Breakfast cook/server did everything she could to show she didn’t want guests that morning. Got sucked into staying here by pictures on the web. In actuality the place is a a quirky, odd dump.

- Verified traveler (4/5): - Disappointing. We just wanted simple continental breakfast, but we got breakfast that was very tiny in portions, but atleast it was horm cooked. The owners are very nice, but they did try to sell us to pyramid scheme program. No shampoo, no soap given. We couldn't check-in as they wouldn't pick up the phone in evening. We had to call them 5 times before someone let us in.

- Danielle (10/5): - From beginning to end my stay at The Crofting Inn was great. Upon a late arrival I met with Krista who is the homeowner Gail's daughter. She was kind, gave me the rundown of the house and suggestions of local places to eat or visit at. Gail's place is charming, well kept, clean, cozy, adorably decorated and in the NM mountains which I thought were stunning (first time ever to NM). Gail was great and I enjoyed our conversations prior to my departure. For my first time in NM and first time at the B&B it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend to stay there.
- Dawn (10/5): - Cute and cozy bed and breakfast. Stayed in Andrew's room and the only issue I had was the claw footed bath/shower. Being a senior I was concerned about using and chose not to. Soap would be a nice enhancement for the bath/shower as well. Breakfast was delicious and found innkeepers to be very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again, but perhaps select another room. Thank you for your hospitality!

The festival decorations added a charming touch to the atmosphere. Gail's breakfasts were not only delicious but also a highlight of my mornings. Engaging in great conversations with Gail and her family made me feel right at home. The cozy ambiance of the house made my stay exceptionally comfortable. I highly recommend The Crofting Inn for a warm and inviting getaway.

We made a very last minute reservation and turns out they were actually closed but hotels.com went ahead and let us make the reservation. They went out of their way and gave us a room anyways and even made muffins to go for us in the morning!!! Super family friendly place to stay. Quiet, quaint little place with lots of trees and shade.
