- James (6/5): Average - Close to free bus, pickup from station Bathroom too small, breakfast was small and had to request items to be replenished

- Stephanie (10/5): Amazing Host!! Great place to stay with kids. - Apple was absolutely amazing, she went out of her way to make our family feel comfortable and at home. Apple is full of info with all the resorts around Hakuba. Breakfast was great and was different everyday. The common room was a great place to spend after being on the slopes and chat and meeting new people.
Buses are super close to catch to the resorts and even better 7/11 is only 4 places down the road
We will miss you apple, You and Mal will have to come to NZ soon. Thanks again for being a super host.
- Marnie (8/5): A friendly cosy pension in an excellent location. - The location is excellent, a close walk to some excellent restaurants, 7eleven and shuttle bus services- though we had a car for this trip.
They have a drying room with washing machine and dryer which was handy. The staff were informative and friendly. They also accommodated extra bedding to help make the beds a bit softer and addressed any noise complaints promptly. Excellent luggage storage for your large bags during your stay. The included breakfast was a nice inclusion. The massage chair in the shared area really helped after a long day on the slopes as well. I don’t think I’d visit Hakuba in peak period again as all the negatives were contributed to the sheer number of people sharing the space. It’s dated but cosy. More coat hangers in the room and a better toaster at breakfast time would have been a nice to have.
- Keane (9/5): Amazing staff - The service from staff, aswell as the location as close to a bus stop and it’s near a seven eleven which is hard to find in hakuba Nothing
- leigh (10/5): The Manager Apple is a fantastic hostess. She organised kids shoes left in error to be sent to tokyo - Breakfast very hearty
Fantastic manager Miss Apple
Very family supportive especially with 2 grandkids 5 & 7 Years
- yuehhua (10/5): - 員工應對很好,住宿環境也乾淨整潔,離711走路不到五分鐘超級方便
- Philìp (8/5): - Small amd cosy lodge
- Poilin (10/5): Lovely place to spend your ski time at Hakuba. Super friendly staff, great location, close to 7-eleven and bus stop. - Extremely kind and helpful staff. Apple, the lodge manager, was super helpful in advising on all things - like which resorts to ski at depending on weather, best local onsens and so much more! So close to the 7 eleven and the E2 bus route. Rooms were spacious. We were a family of 2 adults and 4 older teenage kids. Loads of room for everyone. Breakfast every morning was a hit too. We loved everything about it! Nothing. It was perfect for our large family.
- Ruth (9/5): As our kids would say it was amazing. - The host Apple and all the other staff were so nice and helpful. We would like to say a big thanks to them for making our first ski holiday with the kids so worth it. The room was nice and big there were 4 of us in the room and having the bathroom was great. Apple went out of her way to try and accommodate our son who is gluten/ celiac. The kids loved that it was so close to 7/11. It was just a small walk to all the buses we needed. It is such a warm and cozy house. We lived that we got to meet other people on our stay. There was nothing we did not like.
- Smith (7/5): An okay stay. Was a bit far away from the main village but overall a pleasant experience. - It was a nice lodge. Bathrooms were very small for 4 of us. We expected to be picked up and dropped off by the lodge however we had to wait 30 minutes whilst we were struggling to get a Taxi before they offered to drop us off. The breakfasts’ in the morning are very minimal.
- Benjamin (10/5): Great Guest house with daily breakfast and close to bus lines - We had an amazing stay at Seventh Heaven. The staff was all super helpful and kind, especially Apple with her extensive knowledge of the bus system and local restaurants. There is a great equipment drying room in the basement to make storage and drying out of equipment very easy. The breakfasts were great, with daily changes to keep things interesting.
The location is great, with two main bus stops a few hundred metres away that go to Goryu, Hakuba 47, Happo One and Iwatake ski resorts and to major stops to change to other lines for all other areas in the valley. Its about a 15-20 minute walk into Echoland, a main area with lots of restaurants. There are still many other closer restaurants, and most importantly a Seven 11 just down the street.
I would return and highly recommend. Busses were sometimes a bit late or quite full, earliest bus was around 8am which made first tracks unachievable.
- Sophie (8/5): -
- Jalink (9/5): It’s was a very positive experience - Very clean, friendly staff Common area was a bit cold on a couple mornings
- Alicia (10/5): Family friendly, great host! - We had such a great time at Seventh Heaven! Comfortable and well set out room for two adults and two children, and we loved the communal areas (lounge and dining area) where we often could chat with fellow travelers, play games and enjoy our dinners from 7/11. Having breakfast provided was amazing and it was always tasty. A huge thank you to manager Apple who was so kind and helpful, getting us to and from the station and giving accurate and helpful information on which ski fields to go to and how to get there.
- Melinda (10/5): Amazing experience - Such convenient location, good sized room. The staff were amazing & always so helpful.
- Martin (10/5): -
- STEPHANIE (8/5): Great common area downstairs with great breakfast served daily. - Great location, friendly and helpful staff Very small for a family of 4 in the room
- sharon (9/5): - The staff were excellent! Close to 7/11 which was good to get snacks.
- Daniela (10/5): Lovely place, ideal for a ski trip! - Great location, close to 7-eleven and a free shuttle bus stop. The staff were super helpful! Breakfast was varied and complete.
- Megan (8/5): Cosy and welcoming stay! - The place has a lovely cosy and welcoming feel to it and the staff are super helpful. The property is basic so don’t expect luxury (but this is reflected in the price).
- Sarah (10/5): Amazing hospitality - Seventh heaven was a beautiful homely place, but what stood out the most was the amazing staff. The manager was so so kind and went above and beyond to help us and was so friendly and welcoming. Even though we were only there for three days, it felt like home because of the friendly staff and homely vibe
- Megan (10/5): Humble and cosy stay with great location and friendly staff! - Humble and cosy lodge in Misorano, Hakuba. Apple coordinated our pick up from Happo Bus Terminal while we were on the bus coming from Nagano station. She was very helpful to share information about the Snow Resorts and transportation around the town. Apple was amazing at showing as around, helped up send our bags to the next location and dropped us off to Happo Bus Station on our last day - sad to say goodbye! All the staff were very friendly, smiles all round. The bus stops for the Snow Field shuttles are at the lodge’s door step. Hakuba47 is the next bus stop on the shuttle, very convenient location. Echoland is also a short walk away. Happily stay here again! Nothing!
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (7/5): Still a nice stay, but some little improvements would make a big difference. - Great position and comfortable beds. The breakfast was the strangest thing ever! Cold pre cooked scrambled eggs combined with cold chicken nuggets isn’t a great way to start the day. Suggest that having cereal and toast that visitors can make themselves would be better than providing a fixed plate with strange offerings each morning, including a half plate of lettuce and tomato!
Also, the room was very dusty under the beds. We lost a sock and when we retrieved it we discovered why we’d all had hayfever!!
- Matthew (7/5): Good - Loved the massage chair in the communal area. In the rooms the little bath in the room was very nice, all be it very small. The staff were very lovely and helpful. Rooms felt old and cramped. The toilet didn't have any bidet and was packed into the shower area which was a bit too cramped. Breakfasts were pretty average.
- Isabelle (8/5): Very good - Good breakfast, good location, friendly staff that picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop. Didn’t replace the towels the entire stay.
- Kym (10/5): Cosy, clean and fantastic location. Close to snow & night shuttle bus stops. Super close to 7/11 and easy walk - Cosy, clean and fantastic location.
Close to snow & night shuttle bus stops. Super close to 7/11
Easy walk to local eateries & Echoland area.
Our hosts made us feel most welcome and were friendly & helpful. Nothing - we would return
- Nash (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kirsty (3/5): Poor - Breakfast was a strange combination. The person who was meant to clear the car park was away and no one stepped up to do the job.
- Elisia (10/5): I loved it! - The staff, breakfast and location were all beyond amazing! Right when we arrived they picked us up from the bus station and brought us to the cottage. Then they explained all of the bus routes and ways to get to each ski resort from there. The best part was the bus stop right outside the front door which made it extremely accessible to everything! Nothing
- Mange (6/5): Unpleasant to get to the room and off the room with heavy luggage - Good location and clean property the only down side is there are stairs to enter the hotel and stairs to go upto your room. We had heavy luggage and had to carry it throw heavy snow and also upto the room. Staff over there does not offer or assist with the luggage.
- Nicholas (10/5): Come for the snow stay for the lovely hosts - Apple (the manager), Luke and all the staff here are absolutely incredible. We came as tourists and left as friends. It's been the most amazing experience.
Comfortable beds, black out curtains, easy check-in, fun breakfasts, massage chair and a great ski room. Apple also had a great knowledge of all the bus lines around and with 7/11 and a Big supermarket within walking distance snacks and sake are always close to hand. All tip top
- Lili (8/5): Very good - The lodge is really nice and conveniently located next to the bus stop for the slopes. The 7/11 is right at the corner and it is a 25 minute walk to the Echoland area where a lot of nice restaurants are located. Nice pleasant walk there. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is fine. There is very little space to put your belonging ( only a very small closet) and I there was some loud music at 6:30 am that woke me up on the first day. I let them know and didn't hear the music the next days.
Taxes are rare so make sure they drop you off where you need to go when you leave because buses are often full in the morning and won't take you with luggage.
- 123 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (10/5): Beautiful place to stay near Echoland - Beautiful place, nice kitchen facilities to heat up food on own in evening. Very helpful with transport arrangements
- Jim (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location, literally outside the doorstep for the complementary shuttle bus to the 47/Goryu lifts each morning and a very short walk to the 7/11 and night shuttle which can take you into Echoland or Happo One for dinner. Lovely staff who made us feel very at home and well fed each morning! Would definitely rebook if we come back to Hakuba.
- Teigen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (7/5): We had a good stay and enjoyed our time but small upgrades would make the stay even better - We liked where the property was based , it was close to a 7/11 and an easy walk to echoland and also the big supermarket There wasn’t enough pillows and they were very thin and mattresses were extremely hard.
- Paolo (9/5): Superb -
- Nicole (10/5): Convenient location, clean and comfortable. - The room was a good size for our family of four (two teens). It was clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and lovely to chat to after a day snowboarding. The lounge and dining area was comfortable and we were able to relax there each night. It was close to bus stops and a 7-11 making it a very convenient location.
- Rob (9/5): Superb -
- Maci (8/5): Convenient spot with comfortable room - The location was convenient with one of the bus stops being directly in front of it and another just down the road at the 7/11. The manager, Apple, was also very friendly and helpful and gave us tons of information about the town and tips to get around which was great. The breakfast was strange and didn’t provide much food. The room itself was fairly comfortable but the bathroom was more like an RV bathroom.
- Benjamin (10/5): Loved our stay, great and helpful staff, convenient location - Enjoyed our stay at Seventh Heaven! The staff was very friendly and helped us get settled in Hakuba - helped us get our ski/snowboard rental. The facilities was just enough for our stay and the breakfast in the mornings was a bonus. Shuttle bus stop right outside the doorstep was also convenient for the mountains. Shoutout to Apple, Nita and MaoMao(not sure if correct spelling) who made us feel right at home 😊 Nothing!
- Tonya (8/5): Loved - Amazing hospitality by staff. Close to local restaurants. Friendly lodge environment. Double bed formed by pushing 2 singles together.
- Jensen (10/5): Will come back again - Manager Apple is the best - often goes out of her way to help guests.
Property is quiet, convenient, and great value for money Breakfast could be better
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (9/5): This place is a little gem, Staff really friendly. Recommend this place if your next at Hakuba. - Free shuttle from train station was a bonus. Breakfast was adequate, cereal and bread was available.
Staff were really helpful. Location was a bit away from the centre of town but easily accessible by taxi or a 20 minute walk.
- Leon (9/5): Very comfortable and cosy accommodation. - Great helpful and friendly host and super convenient for transportation to the slopes Small rooms but it’s with all accommodation in Japan
- Peng (9/5): Superb -
- Jerry (10/5): Perfect ski hotel for families - Cozy living, great friendly staff, perfect location, great breakfast that changes daily, great value.
- Bruce (9/5): Superb -
- Oliver (10/5): Cozy and good location - Good breakfast, good location, nice room
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was amazing, from picking us up and dropping us off at the bus terminal and station, to helping organise rental gear and lift passes for us, giving us resort recommendations and explaining the shuttle bus schedule.
Couldn't have asked for more for a first time snow trip.
- Piper (6/5): Pleasant - Partnership with Woody Ski rentals was convenient, they picked us up and dropped us off at property
Breakfast was okay but was cold and would have preferred a buffet for some variety Bathrooms were very outdated, small and toilet was not working properly. Rooms were not that clean
- Kate (10/5): Everything you need for a quick stay in hakuba - Cute little lodge, nothing fancy. Nice bed and small little Japanese style bathroom. Walking distance to echo land. Small breakfast each morning. Nice massage chair in lounge room. Was cheapest in town so good value Breakfast could have been bigger
- Angelic (9/5): The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would absolutely stay again. - The breakfast was lovely and perfect before a long day of skiing. The home
Was warm and inviting and so was the staff. We really appreciate the staff helping us find rentals as well. Noise travels through the hotel when people are up late in the common area. Maybe suggest quiet hours.
- Larry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kasey (9/5): Great location, helpful staff, tasty breaky and warm/friendly environment! - Breakfast was great, bus stop and a 7/11 super close, comfortable common space, easy to access drying room, massage chair was a nice touch! Only a 15 min walk towards eateries/bars etc. Mattresses were fine - a little hard for my liking being a princess and all lol
- Yohana (8/5): Very good -
- Rucky (8/5): Very good - The massage chair
The breakfast
Very warm in the room The location is not good for the Happo area. Very difficult to get a taxi home after buses of finished fir the day and taxis require a Japanese mobile phone number.
Half hour walk to Happo
- Albie (9/5): Superb - The day we arrived, staff helped us with our ski/snowboard gear and they even arranged for us to be picked up in the morning to be driven directly to the rental shop. The accommodation is always warm especially the drying room which is super nice so then you aren’t getting cold while taking off/putting on ski gear. The staff at this property are all super nice and on our checkout day we were even helped with our transport to get back to Tokyo It’s quite far away from the main town if you’re not renting a car.
- Lai (9/5): Superb -
- Lu (8/5): Pleasant stay for snowboarding experience - Quiet; well-connect by shuttle bus to ski resorts
All staffs are very helpful; they made the effort to address all the needs
Breakfast is delicious
- Antonina (8/5): Comfortable, basic homey stay in Hakuba - The location was perfect for our needs. Very convenient for the shuttle buses to take you to various snow resorts and walkable distance to the konbini as well as the supermarket.
The communal lounge and dining area was always available to use, which gave it a homey feel. We appreciated the communal microwave and fridge and availability of hot drinks.
The room was as the photos; the duvets were extremely warm and the room was very quiet. The bathroom was on the smaller side but we made do.
The drying room facilities were excellent.
All in all, a great basic stay in Hakuba for snowboarding! In our experience, the helpfulness of the staff didn’t match our expectations having read other reviews.
It would have been nice to have a kettle and some drinking glasses in the room.
- Izzy (10/5): Exceptional - The space inside was beautiful! There were tables to sit for breakfast, dinner and card games. Tea was always readily available. The location of Seventh Heaven was great! Just a short walk to the 711, bus pick up and drop off spots and a 16 minute walk to Echoland where a lot of the restaurants are situated. The manager was lovely and super helpful too! She helped with organising us for dinner and snow hire gear which helped a lot. I would definitely recommend and stay again If you're having a particularly lazy day for dinner, the walk to Echoland can feel a bit too far. Just be prepared to take a taxi.
Having breakfast provided is great! Some variety of the type of food would be better though
- Jonathan (8/5): A great base for any period of stay to ski / ride Hakuba. - Good location, friendly helpful staff. Bus stop very close. Bathroom was only OK but still fine for stay. It’s a fair walk to main hub of restaurants but there is still options within a short walk.
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - The location is awesome. Shuttle bus is convenient. Breakfast is great! The toilet doesn’t have a bidet
- Audrey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff and great location. Close to lifts . Comfortable rooms Nothing
- Philippa (7/5): Good budget accommodation which was comfortable and warm. - Cosy communal lounge with a bar. Close to shuttle bus stop and 7 Eleven The room was quite small but that was reflected in the price we paid.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - Yang was amazing! A bit out dated.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (6/5): Pleasant -
- Travis (8/5): Excellent guess house. I don’t think you will be disappointed - Homely feel to the guess house. The price was excellent. The host- Young was brilliant. Everything was excellent with the guesthouse. The heating was excellent. Everything was good. We booked late and was not many rooms left in Hakuba for the price we were comfortable with. At night you were a 20 min walk from echoland where the restaurants are. But on the flip side we’re close to a 7Eleven which sells seriously good food. A restaurant called Harris was 3 min walk which was excellent.. but it’s so popular you have to start queuing at 5:40 for opening at 6pm
- Arwin (10/5): It was great!! Value for money and easy to get to slopes! - The breakfast was good, the location is near by a 711 convenient store. It was also near the ski shuttle buses. Like 1min walk away. Nothing much really.
- Park (8/5): Very good -
- Garry (8/5): A comfortable hotel with clean facilities and good general condition with helpful staff. - Clean, quite comfortable and a larger room than a normal hotel room in Japan.
Whilst not close to the the ski areas local bus shuttles were easily accessed close by. The individual room temperature was difficult to adjust.
- Austin (7/5): Good location to access snow resorts and comfortable room. - The location is right in front of a bus stop to all of the resorts and 2 min walk from a 7/11. The rooms are a decent size and beds an are comfortable. The breakfast was served late consistently. We were told breakfast at 7:15 and it came out at 7:45 or later. The atmosphere wasn’t very warm and welcoming.
- Samantha (8/5): Excellent place to enjoy hakuba from. Loved the helpful staff and the massage chair! - Very helpful staff. Comfy bed very clean. More regular buses to ski slopes
- Seng (10/5): Exceptional - Staff are friendly. From Taiwan. Nothing
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Azman (7/5): Good -
- Lilian (9/5): Superb -
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional - Awesome house, the massage chair is amazing after skiing and going to the public bathhouses nearby! They drove us pretty much anywhere we needed to go. 7 Eleven right down the street, as well as an amazing izakaya. Really comfy rooms, decent sized and solid amenities for a guesthouse! Breakfast was great too. Staff were phenomenal, everyone was super nice and helpful. Nothing really.
- Angus (10/5): Great value hostel near echoland with the best staff around! - Amazing friendly and helpful staff - they can help get you to whichever ski shuttle or bus station you need to get to!
Tasty breakfasts each morning
Great building with separated areas for your ski stuff downstairs
Cozy common area with massage chair
Nice rooms with fantastic soft duvets
- Aedrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raymond (9/5): Superb - Very accommodating and great hospitality shown by host.
- Ittai (9/5): Recommended place to stay in Hakuba - he hospitality. The staff, the manger and workers will do whatever possible to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. There inhouse shuttle service is amazing. The room is very comfortable and clean, so as the in suite bathroom. The breakfast could be better. However, once I have mentioned the issue, the breakfast was much better.
