Guest Reviews
- Priya (8/5): -
- Ayutaffana (10/5): - Waking up in my pool-view suite felt like staying in a postcard garden. Afternoon swims and sunlounging under balmy Bali skies = perfect Ubud days!
- Baskara (10/5): - Every request, extra towels, local tips, shuttle service, was met with a friendly smile. The staff's warmth truly felt like home!
- Kasira (10/5): - CHSE-certified with serious clean protocols: fresh towels, sanitised spaces, daily housekeeping, felt safe and cared for!
- Alysia (10/5): - Minutes from great cafés and galleries, yet I easily escaped to tranquillity by the pool. Location and vibes are pure Ubud magic!
- Gilang Alghifarri (10/5): - Sun lounged by day, then cozy room by night, fast Wi‑Fi, clean bathroom, and friendly staff. A calm, welcoming base for one!

- Hannah (10/5): - We were pleasantly surprised: the bed was comfy, AC worked well, the room was clean and cozy. The location couldn’t be beat — walking distance to Monkey Forest and many cafés. The pool by afternoon was relaxing. Very good value for what we paid.
- Zara (10/5): - Villa Puriartha is a gem for what we paid. Our standard room had all essentials: AC, TV, private bathroom. The photos are pretty accurate. We walked to nearby restaurants easily. Good rest, good service.
- Evan (9/5): Best value for money in ubud - So close to Yoga Barn and walking distant to cafes restaurants and all good things in Ubud.
Have stayed multiple times highly recommend for a no fuss cost friendly holiday Staff, cleanliness and proximity to Yoga Barn
- Malini (7/5): Great location but I would check the room doors and locks - Location and staff Big gaps in the doors and one room had mosquito net and curtains and 1 didn’t , needs some basic fixes.
- Douglas (10/5): - Clean and i really loved the location and for a busy road, it was remarkably quiet
- Mark C (1/5): Very disappointed….. - Disappointed and Left Early
Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately well below expectations, and we ended up leaving early because we were that uncomfortable. While we didn’t expect luxury, the experience we had didn’t match what was shown in the photos or described in the listing.
* The photos online were incredibly misleading. What appeared to be a tranquil villa experience was far from the reality. We expected a private, relaxed setting but instead ended up in a noisy, basic environment that felt more like a budget hostel than a peaceful retreat.
* Staff were sweeping and making noise from 6:30am every morning right outside our room. There was no chance of a quiet or relaxing sleep-in, which became frustrating very quickly.
* There were only two lounge chairs by the pool despite the property being able to accommodate over 30 guests (I think). It made the pool area feel overcrowded and pointless as a space to unwind, so we didn’t use it.
* The rooms, although clean, had no privacy. We had to keep the curtains fully closed at all times, which made the room dark and uninviting throughout the day.
* We could hear guests in neighbouring rooms clearly through the walls. There was no soundproofing at all, which completely took away from any sense of relaxation or comfort.
* The room setup was minimal and basic, just one pillow per person, one glass in the bathroom to share, and only one bath towel provided, with no hand towels or additional items. It felt like the bare minimum had been thrown together.
* Our room was never serviced during the stay. In my room there was no “Make Up Room” sign available, and as a result, no one came to check or clean the room.
* The doors were hard to lock and had large gaps around them, which let mosquitoes in overnight and made us feel exposed.
* Access to the rooms involved crossing uneven stepping stones through muddy grass, which became slippery and awkward, especially when carrying our own bags. Nothing……
- Britt (9/5): - Fijne locatie, wij hebben bijna alles ter voet gedaan! Perfect
- Douglas (10/5): - Sweet and simple and walking distance to yoga barn
- menelva (2/5): Poor housekeeping, Great Staff - The staff are very nice and attentive. Always ready to help with a smile. The rooms are dirty and dusty. They need a thorough clean. Sheets are stained and not very clean. The toilets have dirt rings and a strong unpleasant smell, the shower rooms need a good clean and the picture frames need a good wipe down. Lighting is very poor in the room especially at night.
- Athanasia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jaymee (8/5): nice and close to everything - located on one of the main streets but quietly tucked away so i didn’t hear the noise. very close to everything. nice place that was good for my stay and price was good :) my sheets didn’t get changed in the 4 nights i was staying there, but i also didn’t ask. there was a bright light outside my door and the curtains didn’t fully close, so i just text the receptionist and asked them to turn it off which they did :)
- Liljegren (5/5): Passable - The location was ok, but nothing special. The hotel is near to a road with heavy traffic. The room was quite humid and not very comfortable. The soap for hands and body was not usable. Only one old towel for shower and face/hands. The place would need some improvements.
- Dylan (4/5): Not great value for money and poor facilities with dirty rooms, insects, webs and stained bedding - I liked the location the place was quite dirty and my AC was faulty, other rooms to replace had other issues like bugs and bad smell, I wouldn’t stay here again not good value for money
- Sally (1/5): Not worth the money! - Location and very friendly staff I booked the standard room for 11 nights. What a mistake I made! Room is super basic. It’s right behind the reception on level 1. Super noisy at night I hardly slept. When I complained their recommended solution was for to upgrade for additional $40/ night I already paid $80 per night so I said no. Later they offered 50% discount but I didn’t opt for the upgrade as it’s not worth it. The room is full of light as it has an open ceiling so that was another issue I had to manage. When I checked the deluxe room it has the same lighting issue although it sounded quieter given it located at the back.
Room was full of flies and mosquitoes. Yes I knows it’s Bali but I am a frequent there and this is the first time I experienced this. Fridge was dirty. Stains on the floor. Toilet and shower were worn out and need an upgrade.
Pool has only three lounges. Booking reviews are not true reflection of this property and the photos are not showing rooms actual condition. No cleaning unless requested and the shower items (shampoo, conditioner and hand washing products) smelled weird and the liquid was of an unknown brand as they were all kept in plastic bottles.
Do yourself a favour and check Google reviews as it’s more accurate. I could have walked 10min further down the road and got a room in a guesthouse half the price including breakfast and less noisy.
Extremely disappointed and will never stay there again.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Rhonda (8/5): Very good - We were very close to The Yogabarn where we were doing a retreat. Loved cooling off in the pool after a yoga class. Staff were very friendly and helpful with any issues or requests. The water pressure has some issues but fixed quickly
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Carla (2/5): Not a good experience - 🙂 The good photographer that took the beautiful photos to advertise the place (nothing looks like in those photos )
Staff very nice
Location ,quite close to the market and palace ,lots of restaurants / cafes around
☹️ The place needs some investments especially on towels (stained ,white color became grey / yellow) , locks (was taking ages to lock the door )toiletry recipients (very dirty ,labels partially pilled off )
Very noisy , very thin walls ,could hear conversation from next door
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional - Well located, spacious, clean. Very friendly staff. A rack for drying wet swimwear would have been nice.
- Nareshnath (9/5): Cozy place located in central location in Ubud. - friendly staff and the ease of communicating
location of the property was excellent - near bebek tepi sawah, super market, tukies ice cream
easy to drop off and pick up at the hotel as the parking was on the main road could have had a better wifi connection
and also maybe a cable connection would have been nice, but it is not minus factor
- Kim (7/5): Pleasant - Location and Cleanliness great For the money they charge you don’t get any breakfast and they don’t offer room clean much unless you ask, you can get more for your dollar elsewhere. But the location is great and there is no would in rooms
- Soyini (5/5): Great location with friendly staff but def had issues with room quality - I loved the location of this hotel and the price. The staff is also really nice and accommodating. It is a very basic room in my opinion. I was given the first room on the first floor after leaving the reception area which wasn’t really comfortable and it was loud in the morning especially when the house keeper was in and I could hear conversations in the reception area. The hotel was not booked up and there were plenty of rooms open so I was confused that I was given a room in that location since I know there were better rooms available. The hotel sheets were stained, not dirty but stained from use over time. Hotel towels were like a grey color and kind of worn also.
- Iina (6/5): My stay was not what I expected from the good reviews in booking.com. I recommend to also check the google reviews of th - The location was great, 5min walk to Yoga barn and many cafes and restaurants close by. The staff was nice and friendly. I booked the standard room which I found quite unclean and there was a bad smell. It was close to the reception and the busy road. The top part of one of the walls was open and I heard the road noice and rain even through my ear plugs. There was also a light coming in the room from top of the wall during the night. I asked if I can change room because of the noice and I had to pay to upgrade my room to a deluxe room. The deluxe room was allright, the noice wasn't as bad there and it was cleaner.
I didn't like that you could not open the curtains because the people walking past would see in your room. Also in the deluxe room the curtains were broken and hanging unevenly in the window. Under the bed was dusty and not cleaned in a while. The towels were clean but grey and worn out. The other part of the safety lock was missing which made me feel a bit unsafe. On the way to the rooms there's a fountain that does not work. The pool area was ok, only 3 chairs to lounge on. Wifi was unrealiable sometimes working fine, sometimes not.
- Moodley (7/5): Comfortable budget accomodation in a great location with great staff. - The location was great. Rooms are not very sound proof, I was lucky to be there when there wasn’t many people
- Sophia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Donny (8/5): Family short gayeway - Good location, views and food none
- Špela (7/5): Good -
- Emil (8/5): Very price worthy - Friendly staff. Nice location Close to the road so bit noisy from the restaurants and traffic during the late night
- Terese (8/5): Clean & comfy little guest house. Great location, everything close by and 15 mins walk to the yoga barn. - Clean & comfy little guest house. Great location, everything close by and 15 mins walk to the yoga barn. Could hear some street noise at night from neighbouring bars & restaurants.
- Jedah (7/5): Great - Great location right in the middle of everything. However it wasn’t very comfortable for me as it did not feel very safe . Would I stay again, of course if it’s a short term stay because it is very central and close to everything. One can enter straight into the villa complex

As usual the Balinese staff were friendly and accomodating.
The actual pool was clean. The pictures were not a true indication.
The garden and pool area were neglected with cigarette butts amongst the pool furniture.
The curtains in the windows were too small and very shabby allowing the light to stream in and a lack of privacy.
Wi.fi was intermittent.
Under bed was not cleaned.

- Tristina (5/5): It’s located on a main road so is quite noisy. - The proximity to tourist amenities- cafes, restaurants, convenience stores, spas, money changer, pharmacy It was quite noisy being located on the main road and there was a nearby bar/restaurant that had live music playing in the evening.
There was no hot water in the shower.
The towels were old and worn.

- Julia (8/5): Thanks to the staff for a pleasant stay. - A 20 min walk south from central Ubud this accomodation is on a thoroughfare with many cafes and convenience stores. Friendly staff and pool, well run. The street is busy with traffic and a restaurant nearby has live music loud at night. There are quieter zones.
