- Adrien (5/5): Good comfort, but I felt misled about setup, checkout, and pricing. - Overall, this stay was okay and the room itself was comfortable and generally clean, but I ran into a few communication / follow-through issues that I think future guests should know about. I had been told the hide-a-bed would be prepared (I was originally coming with three kids, updated to two the day before), but when we arrived around 10pm it wasn’t set up and there were no sheets, so we ended up squeezing into the king bed for the night. I also requested a noon checkout and was told it was approved at no fee; however, when I returned on Sunday morning slightly after 11, housekeeping had already entered and left cleaning items in the room, which didn’t feel comfortable. Finally, there was confusion around pricing: the amount charged at the hotel differed from what I expected from Booking (I was told some taxes weren’t included, which is the first time I’ve experienced that), and I also got mixed messages about whether there were extra charges per child—nothing dramatic, but it left me feeling uncertain and a bit annoyed. If the hotel can tighten up internal communication (front desk / housekeeping) and make pricing details clearer upfront, it would improve the experience a lot.
- Singla (6/5): - Location was good, wifi was also good. The bathtub was not clean properly, No tooth brush, T.V. Model was outdated, No-drink water.

- Christine (8/5): I enjoyed my stay because it was quiet after being in the city all day. - There was no restock of creamer in the room. I went done to the front desk and they were happy to accommodate me
- Isabelle (10/5): super séjour agréable dépaysant - prendre le petit déjeuner sur les chaises face aux écureuils , le calme, bon petit déjeuner, manque un peu de luminosité

- Sarabjit (3/5): We only stayed for one night, but if the room and washroom services were better I would have stayed - I liked the outdoor area, there were some chairs under the trees and it was very cozy. But maybe you should add more benches or picnic tables to add more to the vibe. It smelled bad when I opened the door, and the AC was turned off. It looked like there was no shower head.

- PK (8/5): Good value for the money - Spacious room, and a continental breakfast was included. The heater was pretty powerful and heated the room very fast. The location of the Motel is also convenient for us. The room we got was upstairs and had to climb the stairs with our luggage. The Heater/AC unit was very noisy so we ended up switching it off for the night.
- Bonnie R. (8/5): - Very clean, good location to the airporr.
- Diadema (8/5): - Spider at the washroom.
- Halbedl (4/5): Wouldn't return nor wouldn't recommend - Quasi non existent, expected better Breakfast, kind of old fashioned motel

- may200000 (2/5): WARNING ABOUT PERSONAL IDENTITY SECURITY - Upon arrival, I was required to provide a $200 credit card deposit, which I accepted without issue. However, the clerk proceeded to manually enter my full credit card details—including the security code—into their database. More alarmingly, they insisted on copying details of my government-issued ID, capturing all personal information.
This practice poses a substantial identity theft risk. Standard industry guidelines recommend that properties merely inspect IDs to verify they match the booking name and credit card holder, without retaining copies. I offered to present my ID for inspection but firmly declined the copying request. The clerk refused to accommodate this, denying me check-in. The situation escalated when the owner intervened, instructing me to cancel the reservation and promising a refund—despite the booking being past the free cancellation window.
When I contacted Expedia (my booking platform), the owner reversed course and denied the refund. Fortunately, Expedia reviewed the matter, determined the motel was at fault, and issued a full refund on my behalf. In summary, prioritize booking platforms with robust protections like TripAdvisor, and steer clear of Rideau Heights Motel. Their data-handling procedures are unacceptably risky, and their inflexibility undermines guest trust.
I recommend avoiding Rideau Heights Motel due to significant security concerns and poor customer service practices. For bookings at small, non-franchised properties like this one, I strongly suggest using platforms like TripAdvisor, which provide third-party protection against such risks
- margalit (1/5): not recommended - the room was not clean. No head shower, lights were deem, the volume on the TV remote control didn't work. Staff was not cooperative. The air-condition was old and noisy.
- Stephanie (8/5): -
- lizmccarty (6/5): Basic, a little too pricey. - Very basic but clean stay. You need to remember your own conditioner, lotion and bar soap.
The room is exactly as advertised, it is clean and well kept but there are zero Frills.
It is in a very quiet area of town so you will get a good night's sleep.
Breakfast is basic, some fruit, yogurt, small muffins and cereal. Hot coffee and only green tea on offer for drinks, no juice for the kids unless you wanted to pay more.
My biggest complaint was the broken heater, it never blew hot air even after a visit by staff to "fix it", it was a very cold stay.
- Kavrakova (8/5): It was good for what we needed. - Location was close to the venue we needed. No door on the sink vanity space and it was awkward using it while sharing the room either another person. Also there was no garbage bin in the bathroom for the toilet. It would be good to have a bin there not just under the separate sink / vanity space.
- Maggie (8/5): Generally good. - Staying in the 2 level part, woken up by the heavy footsteps above us. Daytime is fine but not midnight and 2am as well.
- Lori (8/5): - Price

Bed was comfortable, pillows were good
Liked the sink outside the bathroom

- Al-Qadhi (5/5): -
- pete (10/5): - Always a great stay. Clean, quiet and friendly staff!
- Ali (2/5): - Shower and towel and bed sheets were no clean
- Bernie (8/5): -
- David (8/5): - Parking was easy, breakfast was sparse, the room was clean but stuffy. Having the ability to leave a window open was a great plus.
- Jon (1/5): Awful - Not polite didn't undersrand that a service animal in Ontario are to be accepted. Turned me away at 11pm the hotel was away from other establishments. I'm a female alone. The hotels in area were full. Didn't like being turned away cause of a service animal
- Jeanne d Arc (8/5): J’y retournerais avec plaisir! - L’environnement beau et tranquille. Rien, tout était correct
- Cliff (8/5): - The room was nice. Breakfast was coffee and a small muffin. That’s it.
- J6479XLmatta (2/5): Homeless districts - I understand that drug use, drug addicts and victims plus homelessness is a massive problem. However staying in a motel with no security gates or fencing is a major concern for me. Any body can walk or drive up to your room or window. The second floor rooms are elevated but no elevator. The site would be good for demolition and condo construction
- Tom (6/5): - Didn't use air conditioning, bed comfy, bath mat needed replacing
- Al (10/5): -
- Elif (6/5): - We chose this place because the reviews said it was clean even very clean but we couldn’t even cover ourselves properly. The sheets looked dirty, and we didn’t feel comfortable. In short, the beds really affected my rating
