- Ana (10/5): - I found the location of the hotel perfect for transport to and from the airport and the centre. The airport bus stop is practically outside the hotel entrance. At the back there is a private car park with hefty charges. Useful but not cheap. Room was small but functional and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Shower room was compact but good. We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel because the fixed price made it expensive for the type of breakfast we have.
- Chenggang (2/5): - The staffs were just in the wrong career. The owner was in the wrong business. If you are looking for poor service you have come to the right place. My room was freezing for 2 nights and 26 c on the 3rd night. No one cares. Worse, I have no way to prove they actually did it on purpose.
- Rosemary (8/5): - The room was small but functional for our needs. Very helpful friendly staff. Excellent location for transport into Edinburgh city centre either by tram, train, bus or walk. Good location also for eateries in the evening and breakfasts. Tram down to Leith docks and Airport was very frequent.
- Jan (4/5): - Hotel seems to be nice and managed. Staff was nice and polite. Room was really small but that we knew. It was clean, but not perfectly clean. Mess under the bed, dust and few hairs in the bathroom (the usual). Which was really bad was the noise in the room. The room wasn’t isolated very well and you could hear most of the noises, specially when somebody was leaving and hit the door. Window to the room wasn’t in good condition and even when it was closed you felt breeze and cold air. Heating/air condition was set to 19* but it wasn’t really working properly. Next thing were pillows. The have only two pillows. One tough as rock another one bit softer but still tough. So I slept without it. Overal it wasn’t really pleasant stay. I would recommend it. Only nice was the place where it is, close to center and on the bus stop form airport.

If you are someone who always stays at a 4 or 5 star hotel, DO NOT stay at this place. Pros: - convenient, next to a tram and bus - nearby shops, cafe, restaurant and scotrail - front waiting area spacious and clean - staff is attentive and responsive to calls and requests Cons: - has 1 working elevator (other one out of order upon my arrival). the working elevator stops at EVERY floor even when nobody presses it. we had to walk the stairs every day. - shower clogging up (I requested it to be fixed and it was fixed) - towels are thin - shower floor scratched up and rough. visible damages to shower walls - front entrance does not have a ramp for wheelchair accessible or luggages - one of my cards did not work to enter the room, but it did work for the lights - you cannot walk around the bed if there is another person with you - so small you cannot open your luggage Overall, would not stay here. Spend an extra $200-300 for a 4 star hotel

- Erik (6/5): - Was more or less what we expected: a couple affordable nights in Edinburgh in which we just needed a place to crash, with emphasis on location and transit links to the airport. PROS: friendly and responsive staff at every turn. Location. Haymarket stop for bus, tram, train. Comfortable bed. Good free coffee provided at reception. CONS: dirty bathroom, esp. the shower; shower was clogged and would not drain so we had to have maintenance come. NOISE. Construction work in courtyard began, no joke, at 06:00 on a Sunday! There was a weird, loud, erratic hum through the building all night--not any kind of usual heating/cooling system. No idea, but it was maddening.

Rania and her colleague (didn’t catch his name) helped me quickly and efficiently book an emergency flight to London and made me feel not alone in a very stressful - life and death - situation. This was not part of their “job description” but they were so kind and helpful. I will not forget their kindness. Thank you.

Numerous restaurants/pubs, small food markets within walking distance. Excellent city bus system, teams and trains all 1-3 min walk from hotel front door. Easy to get from hotel to most points in and around Edinburgh.

Very easy to walk to a bunch of spots in town and the station is right in front if u want to take trams and buses. Wonderful stay, will probably look to stay again.

The only way I was able to make adjustments to my air conditioning was by calling the front desk each time — resulting in me having to reach out in the middle of the night whenever the unit would stop running for some reason and reset to a warmer temperature. There was also no hot water available on my first day of the stay.

In the morning, the bathroom had a very strong, unpleasant smell, and the entire room had a funky odor that made the stay uncomfortable. For almost $200 per night, I expected much better. It was absolutely not worth the price, and I am extremely disappointed with my experience.

- gabriela (8/5): Yes a is a good one - The hotel was perfect to move around in Esiburgh, buses, train, tram and taxi all easily available. Plenty if option ti dine around. The room is humble and got a bed, tv, hungers and bathroom, no more soace for a big lugage nor exercise. There was only 1 lift for the 7 floors. So some time it got a bit tedious to wait for it. Other wise all good!

- J F (2/5): Overpriced, noisy, small and uncomfortable - Not a pleasant stay. Expensive for a 'cosy' room. Cosy I assume is their way of saying small. Not much room to fit in the shower. Very tight squeeze to walk around the bed. Both nights there was regular banging from staff outside, between 4 and 6am. This included emptying bottle bins and what sounded like loading lorries. Cleaners banging vacuum cleaners against the bedroom door very early in the morning. The lifts were broken. One put of order, the other was inconsistent with it's ability to open the door.

Dawn, Marco, etc. The room was tiny and I originally requested 2x single beds as my mom and sis were the ones staying there so they weren't very comfortable. Also they mentioned it was quite noisy as the location is pretty much where many people passes by. Apart from that, it was just fine.

Location is convenient; many options for daytrips with all sorts of transport. Staff really friendly but investing in more comfort is needed. Shower space also very limited.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Inaccurate description and poor service - Having used the filters on Hotels.com to pick a hotel with parking and a restaurant, I was incredibly disappointed to discover that the Garner Edinburgh Haymarket has neither. The "restaurant" is a bar next door which is not part of the hotel. There are doors between the two, but these were almost always locked. The so called carpark is not owned by the hotel, but by a private company, which allows anyone to book parking and there is no priority for hotel guest. With only around 20 spaces I ended up parking half a mile away and paying £66 for two days. During our first night, I was keep awake by the sound of constantly running water from the toilet. I reported this the next morning and was told that they would send someone to fix it. Upon returning in the afternoon, our electronic keys did not work, and while at reception, I asked about the toilet and was told it had been fixed. After receiving new keys, I went to the room to find that this was not the case. I again complained at reception and was met with bland looks from the staff. I was then told they would send maintenance. Upon returning that evening the problem had still not been addressed.

- John (6/5): - The room was small. A double bed which just had enough space to move around. It also had a small pod for an ensuite. Had booked for two nights separately. The second night was for a room without a window, so the receptionist gave me a room with a window for both nights. Expensive for what you get.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Too expensive for a half finished hotel - The room itself was absolutely fine, very clearly been re decorated quickly and recently. They are just not finished yet and the price should reflect e.g having a bed that should have draws without the draws isn't normal. The tiles in the bathroom have been filled so badly where old soap dishes were and there is no kettle which is standard. It's on the right track but just not there yet. This would be fine if it wasn't so expensive.
- Yasmine (8/5): - We spent 3 nights at Garner Edinburgh hotel. Staff were very welcoming and Lucy at the reception was very sweet. The hotel was clean and is located in a nice area. Make sure to check the dimension of the rooms, ours was a lot smaller than expected. Bed was comfortable.

Straight across from Haymarket train station so perfect location. We had a compact room with window which over looked Haymarket and was absolutely grand for our stay. Will definitely stay here again

- Stephanie (2/5): Don’t waste your money - Don’t waste your money here, the parking is non existent the lifts didn’t work the rooms as tiny. The room wasn’t very clean and the refillable products were empty. We were woken at 9 by the housekeeper banging on the door!!

- Richard (4/5): - The staff tried very hard, but this property had serious issues. The Air Conditioning displayed “FAIL” the entire time we had the room. The elevator was broken leading to 7 floors of stairs multiple times per day. The onsite parking lot had maybe 15 spaces for 100+ hotel room. We paid 33 GBP to park in a garage 1 mile away. The bedding in the room was clearly not cleaned between uses. We left a day early, and were quite glad to be gone.
- Christian (10/5): - Really nice property with a nice restaurant connected to it. Friendly staff. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because housekeeping entered my room without knocking. On the day of checkout, (which is at 11am) housekeeping knocked on my door at 8am, waking me up from my sleep. I work at a hotel and we always knock at least 3 times before entering a room and we never knock on a door before 11am. My only complaint.

- jeremy_hartigan (2/5): Beware this Hotel operates a parking scam! - i have stayed at this hotel several times, upon a poorly lit car park in driving rain late one night parked rushed into reception, the receptionist informed me that given the hour I could pay parking the following morning as i was leaving early, i did this paying for one day and then am hounded by a ARDPARK for a fine. The Hotel was unwilling to help, beware this hotel doesn't care a fig for its guests, don't stay under any circumstances
- cjc4000 (6/5): Tiny room, fine for one night - Stayed for just the one night, and at hours notice on a busy Saturday night in November. The Hub Hotel is ideally located at the Haymarket for trains in and out of the city, and taxis and trams to head further in, but the rooms must be amongst the smallest going. As we were in town to head out for the evening, it was fine - but I wouldn’t stay here if planning on spending any great length of time in the room, or for a business stay and likely needing to work in the room. Likewise the bathroom was very small. Does what is says on the tin - a good base for heading out, but don’t plan on doing much other than sleeping.

- DanielleB09 (6/5): Bank Holiday sauna - Stayed here over the bank holiday in August 2019 yes it was pretty warm but this hotel room was something else! These rooms are very small, no bigger than a double bed, and the shower room literally just has room for a small shower and toilet the sink overlaps the toilet! Unfortunately the air con just didn't work and the window couldn't be left open as it's a pretty noisy spot. We also had a room that was at the entry to the hall and everytime the door opened it smashed against the wall the head board was on. Very handy to get every where from here but unfortunately won't be returning the rooms are just so small
- stockleinfilipe (6/5): Overcharge at the end - Overall, the location was great, the room was small but had the essentials and ok for a weekend stay. However, the problem came a couple of days after we left. They charged us for a damage fee because the keypad of our room safe was already damaged and they blamed it on us. They charged us without notifying us, didn't informed us at check-in about any damage fee and, when questioned, they insisted it was our fault without any room for debate. We were very disapointed with this attitude, specially charging without previous notice.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location and price were good however I had to change rooms as the sound proofing is bad and I was next to a hall door that continuously banged. I was then moved to an accessible room which was great for more space but the cleanliness wasn’t great in the room and the bathroom. Yes it was affordable but I was expecting slightly better.

- Maria (10/5): Clean, friendly, and amazing location. - The location is amazing. A couple steps away from the Haymarket airport bus stop, or the Haymarket tram stop. The place is nice, clean, the employees are super nice, really polite and helpful. I only have two comments, they regulate your heat, and I told them it was cold (the 1st night was snowing), they tried to put it higher and never worked. Ended up getting their electric plug heater, which fixed the issue, per se. The 2nd is that the Chronecast never worked, unable to connect to the TV, the staff didn't have a solution. Not on general we were pleased, and might stay there if we return to Edinburgh.

Friendly staff, but my room wasn't the cleanest - there were marks on the walls and some mould stains in the bathroom. Also although there was free drinking water in the room (which was a lovely touch) there weren't any kettle / tea making facilities available
- Steven h (8/5): Clean and compact. - Location was spot on. Went for the Rugby and was easy walking distance to murrayfield stadium, likewise the other direction to princess street. Room was clean but nothing special. Rather cramped and not much in the way of hangers for clothing. No kettle. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best and struggled to find anywhere to hang our wet clothing to dry.

- Verified traveler (6/5): OK but not great. - The bathroom was quite dirty, lot of grime in the shower, walls were really thin so you could hear any noise any other guests made and the air conditioning sounded like a jet engine. Other than that it was good. Good location, friendly staff

- Myra (8/5): - Basic comfortable hotel. Excellent location for trains/airport links. Breakfast at Platform No 5 also very good. Will definitely use the next time I fly from Edinburgh.
