Staff are super friendly and polished I always prefer to stay here when in Wellington but for some reason if I book through booking.com I always get a dark room on a low floor (?)! Would also love a mini bar :)

• Judy (9/5): Beautiful artwork and decoration in rooms. Great location - Loved the beautiful artwork and aesthetic of the whole place. Great location close to Te Papa Museum. Our room was hot and we had to put the aircon on just to make it bearable despite it being only 15c outside. It did face east with sun on the window but we kept the curtains closed all day but it was still uncomfortable.

We kwamen pas om 23.00 uur aan in het hotel in vertraging van de Ferry. Er was helaas geen roomservice of andere eetmogelijkheid beschikbaar.

We needed to turn on the aircon, however, to do so you needed the card in the slot which also meant the kitchen light stayed on all night. You had two choices - either be cool with a light shining on you or be too hot but in the dark. A bit frustrating and made it hard to sleep

• Julia (9/5): Beautiful and rejuvenating. - Beautifully presented, spacious rooms and giant beds - easy to fit our family of four into a double room. Spa, sauna, gym and swimming pool complex much appreciated by all. Fabulous bathroom. The pillows were too high so I had to sleep on a spare towel. We had to go out of the hotel to find a late night snack for the kids as we arrived so late and room service had closed. Be great to have a pillow menu and an on-site 24/7 snack shop.

• Barlee (6/5): Great location but for the price paid, was pretty pour experience. - Great torte on the menu, only good thing from experience. Great location, nice clean rooms and floors and seem to have a lot to offer but that’s where it started and ended. When we got there only one room was ready they hadn’t booked a 2nd room when we booked and paid for 2. The second room when we arrived had food sitting outside the room and the tv and such was all on in the room which made it seem like someone had just been there. The tv remote didn’t turn off or turn on the tv, other remote did nothing. Then in the morning the shower drain was blocked and ended up flooding the bathroom floor and wasn’t able to finish showering. Rang reception for an hour and no one answered. Staff checking in just didn’t seem to really be listening having to repeat stuff over and over.
• Waydene (9/5): - I liked that it was so close to restaurants and shops. Also that it was a little mini apartment. The beds were uncomfortable. Sturdy in the middle then dropped on the sides.

• Jenny (10/5): Perfect location. Comforable accommodation. Helpful staff. - Great location, central and a comfy spacious apartment with cooking facilities if required. Walk to shops and attractions. Across from Te Papa and a beautiful walk along the waterfront.

• Annabella (7/5): Very central and big room - Great location opposite the museum and harbour. Parking was much cheaper at the museum opposite with the hotel deal. The kitchen was really odd. Not very practical. But the bathroom was nice. Not terribly light but we didn’t spend much time there. The washer dryer was very useful at that point in our holiday.
• Marion (7/5): - Location Room was too dark, needed more light. The breakfast was over priced for a minimalistic avocado on toast. The 1st check in person was surly and not at all friendly.
• Jarred (8/5): - Room was a perfect size, the faculties within the room were adequate and the bathroom was a great size. The location of the hotel was great for visiting the local attractions and getting to the town centre.
• Rob (9/5): Good stay, just bad signage - Location was excellent The plug in the sink in our en-suite broke. Also the signage on cable street for the entrance to the hotel is aweful. And on the other side of the hotel on the opposite street has a hotel sign and entry but you need a card to use the door. We actually had to walk inside the cable street entrance to make sure it was the right placee
• José (10/5): Enjoyable, comfortable and not very expensive - Location was perfect and staff were always pleased to inform and help. Laundry machine was broken, but the hotel offered us free laundry.
• Camilleri (10/5): Excellent. Unique artistic lobby and bar. - The artistic lobby was amazing. The artwork a d decor was so unique. The pool,spa and gym were great. We left some shoes behind and the staff were so helpful to return it to us.

• Sam (1/5): we will never stay with the QT branding or company again we are so frustrated and disheartened - the location was good, nice and close to everything that was required we had booked a 1-bedroom apartment, we were called saying we were upgraded upon arrival we walked into our room which was a studio under QT not even in the museum hotel starring at a car park and listening to road noise on the 1st floor. Upon going to the reception, we were told that there was nothing we could do that booking.com must have made the mistake. We expressed that it was not good enough and our frustrations. We were told we could have room credit. Upon checkout we told them we had gone to the bar, and we had items from the minibar we were told it was all clear and nothing to pay. Upon getting home we saw we had been charged $95 and a further $8 I called and stated the above to which the guy stated i must be confused which made me even angrier after explaining that checkout had told us there was nothing to pay he stated he can refund the $95 but it would take some time to go back to our card

• Peter (7/5): - The decor, the atmosphere and the location. This is a pretty unique hotel. Some of the staff were lovely. Most of the physical assets: art, furniture etc given the impression of luxury. Despite the impression of luxury, it was evident that there is a lot of cost cutting going on. Our bed linen was the uncovered duvet between two white sheets combo you get in cheap hotels. We were given a grand total of two medium sized towels that barely dried us (presumably to save on towels and washing). Our kettle was a cheap plastic number filled with limescale. The table in our room was battered and scratched. As this is not a cheap hotel, and sells itself on the experience, this is a shame.
