• Kyla (6/5): Met my expectations for a short stay. - Conveniently located. The gentleman who signed me in was great not sure if he was the owner but definitely cares about the guests. The motel was quiet and had a comfortable stay. Motel is great for a one night stay but lacking in amenities for a longer stay. Also seems like some of the rooms are used for long term residents. They were sitting outside frequently smoking which was a bit unpleasant for spending anytime outdoors.

• YVONNE (1/5): - So we never ended up staying. When we got there a gentleman was sitting on the deck talking to someone and they made a rude comments as I walked up. I went inside and he followed me to the office, before anything else he said to me that he could show me the room but I didn’t need to stay he would refund the amount I booked. I was very confused at this point as I hadn’t said anything about that. He said it 2 more times. I took the two keys he offered me and went to look at the rooms. They were dirty and smelled bad. I am not sure if he realized I would t like it or why he offered the refund immediately, but after seeing the rooms I took the refund and we left to find something else. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

• Amoraal (7/5): If you’re on a budget, this is the place. We’ll stay here again. - Owner lives on/near facilities. Real friendly. No musty smell! Clean room. Comfortable beds. The room was old, well lived in but clean. Think about uncle Bob’s 30 year old cabin. But being the lowest price in town I wasn’t expecting the Ritz.
• Norma (5/5): It was barely OK. - Beds were comfortable, location was excellent. Very clean. It was a studio room. There was only one big pot for cooking and the frying pan was poor. there was no stopper for the kitchen sink to hold water for washing dishes. Dishes were stained and chipped. There was no coffee maker or dish to use in the oven. Overall, it did not meet the basic standards I expected. The step up from outside to the parking area tripped me twice as the edge of the walkway curled up and you had to step down on a piece of concrete before you reached the driveway. Tricky for anyone with mobility issues or it could cause a serious fall.
• Carol (6/5): OK for one night. - The room and beds were clean, and the kitchenette was a bonus. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The place is old and run down. It badly needs painting and the bathroom fixtures upgrading.
• Colin (6/5): - We were delayed by a serious accident approaching the bridge to PEI. Front office helpfully made sure we would get access to regardless of how late at night we would arrive. Very basic motel, but I guess you get what you pay for.

• Orr (10/5): Exceptional Service - Absolutely friendly and welcoming. Our door was opened, and the gentleman started up the a/c and welcomed us. Was super impressed. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom clean & stocked. The full-size fridge & and stove, as well as the microwave, were amazing.

Cobwebs, food particles still in oven burner, ceiling looked like it was ready to fall down, screws appeared to be holding it up, hairs found in bed. Very disappointing.

The flush was not clean. left one day on a day trip came back to our room being left open all day our security was compromised by this place. Showed them pictures and they never even offered a discount.

The owner and staff were absolutely wonderful—so cheerful and welcoming, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. While the hotel has an older charm that could benefit from some upgrades, it was impeccably clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Overall, we had a delightful experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and inviting place to stay!" I must mention that while we had a non-smoking room, I found the presence of cigarette smoke quite bothersome. Every time we opened our door, the smell of smoke from guests smoking outside their rooms was the first thing to greet us. It would be great if the hotel could implement some measures to minimize this issue for those sensitive to smoke."

• Deborah (9/5): Superb - The owner was extremely kind and the facilities were just as expected. It is not a modern motel but it was exactly what we need for a week long trip in PEI. It was well situated with lots of good restaurants around.

The location is great as it is a minutes walk away from the highly sought after boardwalk. I feel we received great value for money spent. N/A. I have nothing bad to say about our stay!

More like "The Shining" than "The Shine" - location When we arrived, the front office was full of linens, glasses, towels, etc, and two room attendants that told us to call a number as no manager was there. We called and he did come in about 5 minutes. We were assigned Rm 27 which was after Room 33? We could smell the stench from the motel garbage in the yard where we parked. We got into the room, screen was ripped on front door, bathroom door installed upside down, big step off the back deck, there was a centipede in the bathroom, the light kept going out on the bedside table (had a short in the light), When you plugged in your iphone the plug outlet sparked. The baseboard in the bath was wet, mouldy with a ton of caulking on it. Showerhead had no nozzle on it. Pillows were flat, soap was about the size of a "toonie." No-one to speak with upon check-out. We left at first light. Nowhere else to go or we would have.
• Barbara (1/5): It was a very unplasant experience to stay in this motel that needs a total overhaul before they let people to stay ther - There was not much to like about it. The whole property is all and pretty much run down. Big garbage container is located in from of the rooms. The unit smelled very badly and the screen door was torn. The table lamp, the only source of the light, was hard to turn on and off. Everything in the room a needs to be replaced or repaired.
