The hotel reflects the incredible time, effort, and care they've put into every detail, from the stylish decor to the spacious rooms with a fridge. The games room and bar area were brilliant additions, The continental breakfast was excellent, offering a great range of fresh fruit, breads, jams, marmalades, pancakes, waffles, cereals, and juice — highly recommend!"
- Eddy (8/5): -
- Natasha (10/5): Perfect location, comfortable stay - Great location - 5 minutes walk to pleasure beach and couple of minutes to the tram to access all of the prom.
Rooms are basic (they do not pretend to be anything else) but you have everything you need in between adventuring around Blackpool. Beds are comfy with new mattresses.
Light continental breakfast a bonus.
Lovely hosts - allowed us to leave the car longer so we could enjoy the theme park on check out day. We also forgot my daughters coat in the room and were phoned to make sure we could get it back before we left.
- Newman (8/5): - The owners of the maydene Hotel were exceptional for me and my friends when we went. They are a lovely friendly couple. The beds are comfortable, and I personally had 2 really good nights of sleep. The hotel also offered more than I was expecting with a games room and karaoke on the evening. Couldn't be happier with what we received and the price is reasonable for us. The hotel is right by the south pier, and there is a weatherwpoons about a 5 minute walk away which was also perfect for us as a group. .

Continental breakfast .
Comfortable sitting room ,pool table .
Fridge with canned drinks ,honesty jar for payment
Which was very convenient.
Perfect location to the beach and South pier.
Would definitely book again .
- corinne (10/5): Great stay - Great location, hosts was lovely very helpful, my daughter left her purse in room and thay rang me to let me know , would definitely stay next time we visit blackpool
- Emma (9/5): Black Trip and stay at Maydean Hotel. - Quite at night , I had a fridge in my room, big space to move around as travelling with people with learning disabilities and mobility issues. Close to shops and bars to buy food and drinks for the evening in the hotel room. The room was very clean and tidy. Can get tram over the road from hotel back to Blackpool North Station to travel, making it easier due to mobility problems. There is no ramp to access the building. No cooked breakfast.
- Clive (8/5): - As a solo visitor, it was a quiet, comfortable room, and it had everything as required, a large wall-mounted TV, plus tea and coffee available.
Only one grumble: the TV signal was poor, as it would eventually lose picture.
I only wanted to use it for news in the morning.
Apart from that, it's what you would expect for a value-priced B&..recommend. Just lost the TV signal. So nothing bad, as I didn't come to Blackpool to watch telly.
- Peter (10/5): - Great location, breakfast more than enough, Public transport close by if needed, great little games room
- Nick (10/5): - Nice rooms .good facilities. Friendly staff
- Kayley (9/5): -
- John (3/5): - Very disappointing stay. Only continental breakfast which is only stated in the background under food. The choice was not very continental either, cheap limited pastries , we ended up eating out both mornings adding more expense to the stay. Also parking although onsite was still charged at £8 a day so this added another £16 to the bill, this should be on the home page not hidden in the background. Staff were bordering on rude, we were told not asked to leave the lounge at 10.30pm! Both mornings staff were cold and not friendly at all. Worst stay we have had in Blackpool
- Porteous (9/5): - Very friendly nice and clean good breakfast and parking at the rear of the building Got charged for parking
- Ben (8/5): Great value option in Blackpool - Just a few mins walk to the beach and South Pier; a clean hotel; for the price, the rooms are of good size (family room, anyway; there are old-school games machines and a pool table in the public area, and the owner is keen to make your stay a good one and can’t do enough to help. It doesn’t look like much, outside and in - could probably do with some serious renovation.
- Bob (10/5): Very enjoyable 👍 - The breakfast was very good. Can't think of anything Can't think of anything.
- Harwood (9/5): Feedback nothing to complain about - No thrills ,perfect for my needs Car park very small resulting in being blocked in.
- Mosley (1/5): Dissapponting - Expected cooked Larger room cooked breakfast
- brian (10/5): Maydene hotel blackpool - Room spotless great location great continental breakfast
- Matthews (10/5): Great Hotel - Lovely hotel, reasonable price, lovely owners.
- Andrew (10/5): Wonderful stay - Great value, hotel spotless and near to the sandcastle and pleasure beach. Nothing, everything was perfect
- Michael (5/5): - Very clean We were in a double room which was tiny and should really have been classed as a single room. . Breakfast was poor ,was the most basic of continental breakfasts
- Hadcroft (10/5): - Lovely friendly staff , was presently surprise to get a tree upgrade 😀
- Bronwyne (8/5): Our family of 3 stayed for one night in a comfortable, homely room. Rachel was a fantastic host and even showed me aroun - Very quiet and homely.
- Derek (10/5): - Room was large all the facilities were there, comfortable bed food next morning good choice . Nothing not to like.
- Michael (10/5): -
- Lee (10/5): Clean roon comfortable bed we will stay again - Rachel and her team are friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, we even got a room upgrade Nothing to dislike
- George (10/5): Great - Right location for me Nothing every thing was fine
- Janet (10/5): -
- Stephen (9/5): Warm freindly an nothing was too much trouble Will deffo be back an deffo will be back - Beautiful room very spacious comfy king size bed had onsite parking which is a bouns in Blackpool. Host very friendly an helpfull Nothing !
- Hardman (10/5): Highly recommended. Just stayed one night to attend Lytham festival but will definitely be back. - Great value hotel, virtually on the sea front, with bus and tram stops very close by. Rachel and Chris were amazing hosts, going the extra mile in all departments. Rachel showed us the new social space and rooms next door which are going to be fabulous once finished. Rooms were clean, beds and bedding extremely comfortable. Softest bedding I've ever slept in. TV, coffee and tea available in room. Ensuite toilet and shower was great to have in a budget hotel. Continental Breakfast was included and had a great selection of items available. Public spaces were comfortable and welcoming. Free pool table and arcade machines and plenty of comfortable sofas and chairs available. Parking spaces available on request. Purely personal preference, because I'm a self admitted coffee snob, but I would have liked real coffee available at breakfast, even if just coffee bags. Literally the only thing I could say to improve my experience. Everything else was fantastic
- michelle (10/5): Great guest house, friendly and comfortable. - We were made to feel at home. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel this way. Showing us around and how everything worked. I have never been in a hotel where everybody wanted to sit in the public lounge and talk. The facilities are great they have a pool
arcade games. The only thing missing was a bar and somewhere to dance and they are building that now. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Kettle, mini fridge, USB plugs and the price was amazing.
It is right next to the sea front and less than 5 mins walk to the south pier and about 10 mins walk to Blackpool fair. Lots of places to eat in the local area and wetherspoons is just 3 mins walk away for food and drinks. I would have liked the option of a cooked breakfast but for the price we paid and the variety of cereals, bread, fruit, yogurt etc it was more than enough.
- David (10/5): Fantastic stay - Thank you - Rachel and Chris were the perfect hosts!
The room was so clean, the bed very comfy and the vibe of the place is so welcoming Nothing
- Deborah (8/5): - Great price & location was directly opposite South Pier tram stop.
Very clean room, comfy bed & great choice of continental breakfast which is included in the price. Nothing not to like.
- Bryce (9/5): Great stay again ,great hosts who run a spectacular hotel and care for their guests - I have stayed before at this hotel ,its exceptional value for money with fabulous hosts who leave you to get on with your holiday.
Fantastic room, spotless clean in every way from decor to bed linen to shower area.
Television and kettle in the room ,a godsend and en suite bathroom and location wise its great too and slightly away from main drag so you escape the noise.
Top class hotel with everything you need ,you wont be disappointed booking Maydene. N/,A
- Pollina (10/5): excellent - it was really nice and there is a fridge in the room
- Andrew (10/5): - Friendly hosts
A comfortable and clean room
Very comfortable bed
Good shower room
All mod cons. No issues
- neil (9/5): -
- Elise (10/5): -
- James (8/5): - We enjoyed it we will be back bed was comfy shower was good nice and clean I would of prefered a cook breakfast instead of a continental one
- Anthony (10/5): Excellent - Good hosts , very clean definitely go back Rachael and Chris were like family to me
- DAVID (8/5): Good Value for Blackpool South Pier - Ideally situated for The South Pier and the Tram stop from the Train station
Maydene provides a good standard for a small guesthouse/hotel. The Owners are friendly and helpful and l would return Anything detrimental would be nit-picking and with all accomodation you get what you pay for and this choice was reasonable in price
In Maydenes case …overall it’s a very good value 3 star choice in my opinion
- Marco (10/5): Really nice place and Rachel and Chris where great hosts - Very clean and room was comfortable
- vince (10/5): - Very clean and quiet accomodation, nice relaxed setting Nothing it was the ideal place to stay , close to everything i wanted
- Gary Williams (10/5): Budget Hotel Accommodation that you can trust. - The hosts Rachel & Chris make the atmosphere really friendly and relaxing. There is a free of charge pool table, some arcade games, books and board games etc. to keep you amused if you didn't want to spend all your time in your room. Super clean, super comfy, superb value. There wasn't anything I didn't like really, apart from when I was coming home from a night out, I got the munchies and there were no food takeaways open.
- JOANNE (10/5): -
- Andy N1981 (10/5): - Everything about this place, from the décor to the owners, the hotel is also rated in the top ten per cent of the best hotels on the planet. It's lovely and pleasant. I honestly can't say enough about this place. Nothing!
- Graham (5/5): -
- Linda (10/5): First class family accommodation at reasonable price . - Hotel handy for going to different places. Rooms lovely and clean . Owner Rachael was so helpful. Nothing
- Neil (10/5): Great little hotel and great owners - Really friendly owners nothing was too much trouble ,the room was very nice and clean bed was great ,breakfast was good plenty to choose from. Overall great hotel good location and very nice and clean. Nothing
- Linah (10/5): - The staff were friendly and ready to help Nothing
- Evelyn (10/5): -
- Tiffany (10/5): -
- Daniel (10/5): - Handy for everything, 1 min walk from the prom. Full place is spotless and pretty modern even if the streets round about look a bit rough. Off street parking provided which helps because the local council are professional conmen with regards to parking fees. Would book again.
- Antony (10/5): My preferred place to stay in Blackpool - Very clean and well run B&B. The owners are friendly and always on hand to help out. This is honestly one of the best places you can stay in Blackpool. A great place to stay if you are visiting the Waterloo music bar for a gig.
- GARY (10/5): Great find in Blackpool will return! - Just a great place to stay and made welcome 👍 N/A
- Megan (9/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Lovely weekend in a perfect hotel - We had our room upgraded on arrival,Rachael and Chris was very friendly and helpful NA
- AllanH (10/5): Great Hotel, Great Location, and Great Hosts - I booked the Maydene Hotel for a last-minute break based on the reviews and location. I arrived early, which was not a problem.
Rachel kindly showed me to my room, and I was instantly impressed with the whole feel of the hotel. Clean, freshly decorated with plenty of facilities on hand. My room had everything I required for my stay (better than some 3 star hotels, in my opinion).
As reflected in previous reviews, Chris and Rachel are extremely friendly and will do anything to help where possible.
Overall, I had a great stay and would not hesitate to return with my family later this year.
All the best Chris and Rachel, hopefully see you both soon.
- carol (8/5): - Large room and very nice continental breakfast. Rachel and Chris very helpful and friendly
