I thinks other rooms were small That when the person bringing my luggage (literally 50 feet) told me he was waiting for money. I normally tip but to stand there and say I am waiting for money was super rude. I had one carry on roller bag that I could have taken and the room was I. View of lobby it was so close.

• ToniT1079 (10/5): Great Relaxation and Sleep in Bishkek - G adventures offered this hotel for our first nights. Each room is a suite. The hotel is safe, clean, roomy with comfortable bed and pillow. Convenience store is close and the main action of Bishkek s about a 25 minute walk. Staff was pleasant. The place is quiet and relaxing, a reprieve from the action of the city.
• Bozeman-Dublin (8/5): Very Nice Place - I stayed here for a couple of nights at the beginning of trip through Kyrgyzstan. I found it to be a very friendly, comfortable, secure and well located hotel. My room was absolutely huge, more like a suite! More importantly, it was clean, quiet and comfortable. One thing I would say is that I'd have appreciated a safety box in the room. It's not that the hotel is not secure - it's perfectly safe - but an in room safety box or safe would've been good. Breakfast was good, a buffet style affair. When you leave the hotel, turn right and Alat-Too and central.Bishkek is a nice, safe 25ish minute walk. Very helpful staff, all in all a very nice hotel in Central.Bishkek.

• Travaller2920 (6/5): Great Location - Location of the hotel is great, close to everything. A small supermarket and pub across the road. From hotel door you turn left 20 min walk you get to Osh Bazaar, you turn right 20 min walk you get to Ala-Too Square. Breakfast is buffet and lots of variety of random options, everyday is different. Very cute courtyard garden at the back, I enjoyed coffee and my book. Staff are not the most friendliest, not the best friendliest I have experienced through my travel as I been to lots of other Asian countries, they are unfriendly and unwelcoming. Women worker was kind, it was more men workers. They try any way they can to sell you the room if you arrive couple of hours early, they want to charge you extra. It’s crazy bec if the room is empty ready sitting there why not give the key so people can go relax take shower after a long flight. Some sort of courtesy and kind hospitality would be helpful from staff. It be great if there was a trash bin in the rooms, there is only one in bathroom nothing in the room, also put extra toilet papers in bathroom so we don’t have to run out middle of night, kind of disturbing when you ran out of toilet paper and there is no extra one in bathroom. WiFi is ok, not the best, bec if you go different places in hotel you get kicked out and you have to find the location ex courtyard has one, breakfast room has one, different room has one depend on where is your room. So it’s annoying when you get kicked out but oh well nothing you can do. Overall hotel is average for short stay to start your travelling in Kyrgyzstan and continue.

• P-Bailey119 (8/5): It Is Very Grand - Situated in the city centre the hotel is in easy walking distance to all of the city's highlights, attractions and parks. A low rise building with rooms over three floors the hotel retains all of its splendour. With ornate corridors and glass chandeliers adoring several spaces our stay was comfortable and memorable. Our room, better described as a suite, in addition to a large double bed had a corner sofa, fridge, wide-screen TV and a view of the internal courtyard. Hotels can be homogeneous these days The Grand Hotel definitely had a personality of its own that we appreciated and enjoyed.

• ktrtontour (10/5): Small, quiet close to city - This is strong local hotel in a good location. We had a large room on the first floor at the front of the hotel. Twin beds which were comfortable and an en suite shower room with a hot water boiler in the room - made a strange noise but didn't stop me sleeping! Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Best thing about the hotel is the small courtyard garden at the back, lovely for a shady sit. Breakfast buffet has something for western and local tastes - enjoyed home made jam and cakes. Bananas and boiled eggs to fill you up! Location of the hotel is great. There is a small supermarket across the road and up a bit. A pub is on the same side of road one block up. You can walk into the city from here. We also walked to the market too. A good base from which to explore Bishkek and from which to see more of the country.

• Walter (5/5): Passable - Good room size. Good downtown location. Maybe I was unlucky. My whole experience was frustrating / unsatisfactory. Agreed a double bed room via booking.com with the hotel at the time of booking. Instead I was given a two single bed room (contrary to previous agreement) that resulted in a bad night's sleep. There was a noisy water heater in the bathroom that squeaked all night long. The in-house internet was terrible. Slower than dialup speeds and constantly kicked me off. There just seem to be so many better options in Bishkek these days.

• Davina (7/5): pleasant but not a high standard. - There was an exceptionally noisy boiler in our room which was continuous eall hours. we told reception but they said they would not be able to do it. as a result we didn’t get much sleep. the breakfast was left out all morning with flies on it and it was not very hygienic.

The rooms were both quite elegant and large. Breakfast was provided free of any extra cost. Staff spoke good English and were very pleasant and helpful.Price made this an extremely good value.
• DorsetgirlLondon (8/5): Great location - Stayed here for three nights as part of a group tour. Even though the decor is not to everyone’s taste, the rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. The reception was informative and friendly. The breakfast was very random (pasta, chips, fruit, juice, cake, vegetables and other things), but it catered for all. I wouldn’t have an issue recommending this to others.
• registrirana (10/5): Clean, cool, comfortable - It's Kyrgyz four stars, but would be a three style elsewhere. Still, it's one of the best hotels you'll find in Bishkek - AC, ample breakfast, super clean rooms, comfortable beds, english speaking staff. It's not too close to the centre but a short walking distance and there is a shop nearby so it's a very good option if you're looking for a high-end type of accomodation.
• 695chantalr (8/5): nice hotel and a very warm welcome! - The hotel was situated a bit outside the city centre (10 min). The staff was very friendly and would give all the help and explenations a tourist would need. Breakfast was very good! Good hotel were i would like to go back to.
• 337maartenv (8/5): Well located - flexible staff - We arrived in the early morning around 4 am and we could book an early check-in and extra breakfast so we could have some rest before starting to explore the city. Bishkek can be visited on foot from the premises of the hotel, but staff will be helpful to order an honest taxidriver if you want to go to places further afield. There are also bus stops in the area if you like to discover the city using public transportation. Breakfast had a wide selection of western and oriental dishes, both warm, sweets and salads, with enough choice for vegetarians. There is a small courtyard where you can sit outside.

• JSS71 (6/5): Comfortable and warm hotel - Spent 4nites at grand hotel at recent group of friends tour to Bishkek. They claim 4star but actually 3 with a stand alone two stories building. Reception area is very good well decorated and clean with sufficient sitting space. They have 8rooms at ground level that is in garden area where one can sit relax and smoke. Room is satisfactory with big bed side table sofa and Almirah. It seems bit conjected. Bath is OK but shower broken in my case. Staff is nice cordial English speaking. Best thing is their breakfast spread where you have many stuff oats cornflakes rice bakery items bread fresh fruits etc. It is nice to have sumptuous breakfast every morning. One point worth mentioning that they charge u USD20 if a lady visitor comes to your room.

• SP585 (8/5): Nice hotel in an average district - Booked this property as a transit option for 1 night on my way from Almaty to Karakol. The area definitely wasn't the nicest in the world. The hotel building didn't look attractive at all from the outside. However, once you get inside the impression is completely different. Lobby was very modern and pretty stylish. Check-in was very fast. I didn't have to fill in any boring forms and receptionist only took a copy of my passport. I have also found out that my room was unavailable but I've got a free upgrade to a higher category one straight away. The room was really spacious, clean and comfy with a king size bed. The door locks were these old fashioned ones requiring metal keys instead of cards. Bathroom could be a bit bigger but for 1 night it wasn't a mega deal really. Breakfast was pretty good, food selection quite modest but as long as it was included in the room price it was ok. In general, my impressions of this property are rather positive and I'll stay there again during my next trip to Bishkek.
• Rook8888 (6/5): Average, but ok - Booked for one night prior to starting a tour. Location is at least 10 mins to the main thoroughfare of Manaus street and the Bishkek Park shopping centre. Easy to navigate during the day but slightly hazardous at night (but street lighting isn't Bishkek's forte). Rooms are adequate if a bit old. Roomy enough. Breakfast average.
• riverlife (8/5): Decent city hotel - Decent city hotel at good prices. All hotels are a fair drive from the airport and this one is no different but when you get their easy enough to walk around town and the hotel meets all requirements. Would use again.
