Most friendly helpful staff, clean and equipped kitchen/bathrooms, comfortable room, friendly social atmosphere but also lots of space to relax. - Carola (10/5): Best friendly staff I’ve encountered in a hostel in New Zealand - It was very cosy and felt like home away from home. Little treats like fresh fruit and pudding and ice cream made one feel very welcome and cared for.

- OldZephyr (10/5): Honey and welcoming hostel - Friendly and helpful staff, homey and comfortable common spaces to eat, relax, fix food, good kitchen, and excellent value. Our beds were comfortable. The chocolate pudding in the evening is a nice touch!

- Anna (10/5): A super fun stay for an overnight stop before going into the Abel Tasman. - Really cool hostel. Great facilities and love the hot chocolate pudding each night! It has really clean bathrooms, rooms and a great kitchen with lots of storage space and even filter coffee! Has an awesome outdoor area around the hostel for relaxing and has lots of boardgames and instruments to keep you amused on rainy days.

The shared areas had books, games, comfortable couches inside, and hammocks and tables outside. It's a bit of a walk from the town, but well worth it for peace, vibe, and comfort.

- Halina (9/5): Charming place - Lovely hostel, very friendly staff, clean, tidy, beautiful garden, facilities all in good working order. I had a twin room with direct access to the garden - very nice in the summer :) There was no locker or shelf to put your things. Just one chair and a table, and a few hooks on the wall. I used the other bed, but if it would have been two people in that room our stuff would have been on the floor or crowding the table&chair. If you don't mind that then you'll be good.

- Megan (8/5): Lovely atmosphere and well equipped hostel - Nice atmosphere. Homely touches. 10-15 min walk to town, with plenty of nice cafes and bars. Lots of up to date information on what is going on in the local area. Good laundry facilities, with large drying area outside and plenty of space ( and pegs). Showers clean and good water pressure. Large well equipped kitchen. Plenty of free on street parking nearby. Staff very welcoming. Thin walls. Bring noise cancelling headphones or ear plugs. It depends on fellow hostellers. Guests on second night we stayed were quiet and had a peaceful night.
