The room is quite spacious and clean. The balcony is quite big. The location is central, but therefore not so private. Washing machine and dryer, which worked and were clean. An extra blanket was provided upon request, the AC worked. We first stayed one night, after the cyclone canceled our flight. In the end, another - the compassion and flexibility were excellent. • Oliver (10/5): Herrlicher letzter Tag auf Vanuatu in den Mariner Apartments - Zunächst einmal hatte ich es verpasst auf die "Check-in-Mail" der Gastgeber zu reagieren, so dass ich weder einen Türcode, sonst noch irgendwelche Informationen hatte. Die gute Seele der Anlage, Ruth, hat sich dann um Einlass, Waschmittel etc. gekümmert. Das Apartment ist sehr gut ausgestattet und ließ aus unserer Sicht keine Wünsche offen. Der Balkon hatte einen schönen Meerblick. Restaurants und Bars sind in größerer Zahl fußläufig zu erreichen, öffentlicher Nahverkehr und Taxis direkt vor der Haustür zu finden. Ich würde bei einem weiteren Aufenthalt in Port Vila das Mariner Apartment jederzeit wieder buchen!

Well set up apartment which was kept beautifully clean by Ruth and her housekeeping team. Close to Au Bon Marche for self catering and superb French restaurant Lalala a very short walk away. Parking on site for our hire car. Elliot was incredibly responsive when an issue cropped up with the TV. Fixed in no time! Thank you for all your efforts to ensure we had a wonderful family holiday and first visit to Vanuatu.

It was very easy to locate the property on arrival and the checkin process was super smooth. The apartment itself is clean and was fully equipped with cooking and laundry facilities, which came in super handy during our stay. The pool is nice and has a good view especially during sunset. The views from the apartment balcony is amazing, over looking the lagoon. The lovely staff serviced our room every day and kept it neat and tidy. • Ian (9/5): This is a beaut place to stay in Port Vila. - We chose these apartments from google maps, hoping for the best. We were not disappointed. They have a view across the harbor. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. We soon learned about the private bus system, where you hail a minivan with a B in the number plate. They have a deck out the front, a pool out the back. No, there is nothing to dislike unless you are some kind of fusspot.

• Gemma (10/5): 10/10 — Fantastic Family Stay in Port Vila! - We had a wonderful stay at Mariner Apartments with our kids. It was the perfect base for exploring Port Vila. The apartments were clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable family stay. The location is excellent, just a short walk to town, the main market, and plenty of restaurants and cafés along the waterfront. It was also very convenient to hire a car nearby, which made it easy for us to visit some beautiful spots around Efate — Honeymoon Beach, Etom Beach, and Eden on the River were all absolutely fantastic and well worth the trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the kids loved the pool area and the relaxed atmosphere. We felt very safe and at home here. Highly recommend Mariner Apartments for families looking for comfort, convenience, and a great location in Port Vila! Also the views outside were absolutely phenomenal!!!!

The location was ideal, in the heart of Port Vila and so close to bars, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. and we were able to park our hire vehicle onsite with ease. The addition of washer and dryer was greatly appreciated, but all of the amenities and inclusions were great. Thank you to Elliot and his team at Mariner Apartments - we will be back!

• Rudy (7/5): Appartel propre et pratique pour un passage pour le travail ou affaire sur Port Vila - L'appartement était très propre La literie était de qualité ainsi que toute la lingerie Le personnel en place était très prévenant et sympathique L 'ensemble du lieu n 'est pas très agréable et l 'accès aux appartement difficile avec les bagages Nous avons eu un problème avec la reservation suite à un problème d'avion qui a écourté notre séjour de 3 nuits à une nuit et malgré plusieurs mails à des adresses differentes nous n 'avons jamais eu de réponse du manager ni même pu le rencontrer sur place ! Nous voulions , au départ , le prévenir seulement puis avoir des explications sur les démarches à faire pour le remboursement éventuel ou une attestation pour notre assurance , ce monsieur était invisible et injoignable directement .

• Zana L. (7/5): Convenient apartment with all the basics - Great location. Nice view. Studio rooms are spacious enough for a couple. The aircon was nice. King bed was not too firm and not too soft. The kitchen had enough facilities to cook basic meals. Plenty of storage for clothing. The washing machine and dryer came in handy. Friendly staff, great service. Would stay again. The pool is welcome, just needs a little maintenance. The parking arrangement is a bit tight but okay for small cars. On busy nights (Fri/Sat) or on rainy days the road noise can be loud. Gas cooktop is not my preference. Could do with a sharp knife, an oven tray and some glass cooking/storage containers in the kitchen. Small sink in the ensuite and bathroom lighting not ideal for doing makeup.

• Linea (10/5): Amazing Stay - We recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic apartment for four nights, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location couldn't be better—situated close to all the amenities and attractions we wanted to explore. We found it incredibly convenient to access nearby restaurants, shops, and sightseeing spots, making our trip even more enjoyable. The staff at the apartment were exceptional; they were not only friendly and welcoming but also a fantastic source of information. They were quick to respond to our requests and went above and beyond to ensure that all guests felt well taken care of. Their attentiveness made us feel right at home. A special mention goes to Elliot, the property manager, who exemplifies outstanding communication. He reached out to us promptly after our booking, ensuring that we had all the information we needed for a smooth check-in and stay. Throughout our time there, Elliot was always available for any questions, making our experience stress-free. We particularly loved the idea of the precheck-in, where we received a wealth of information that guided us throughout our trip. It was invaluable in helping us navigate the area and discover hidden gems. A big bonus during our stay was the TV, which had ESPN! My husband was thrilled to be able to watch his favourite NBA show live, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip. The apartment itself was a haven of safety, cleanliness, and neatness. It was well-maintained and offered a comfortable atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. We also loved the veranda, a perfect spot to sip our morning coffee while soaking in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. Overall, our stay at this apartment was remarkable, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay. With its ideal location, superb staff, and welcoming environment, it truly exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a memorable experience!

• Jennifer (10/5): Would give more than 5 stars if we could! Highly Recommend!! - We loved our stay here at Mariner Apartments!! The rooms were spacious, clean, and very well equipped with kitchen facilities, comfy beds, good air conditioning, and a washing machine and dryer which we really appreciated. The location was super convenient being so close to town but still nice and quiet. My favourite part though was definitely the view that we had from our balcony which was absolutely STUNNING! The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and were always happy to help if we needed anything or had any questions. We felt so well looked after and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended! Nothing!

• Rahul (8/5): My stay at Mariner - Location was good and the bed was comfy. Good kitchen facilities. Room seem to be a bit dusty esp the floor. Otherwise all good.
• Elise (8/5): Great central apartment stay for family of 5 (2 adults & 3 kids) - Central quite location overlooking PV Harbour & Iriki Resort. Walking distance to restaurants, supermarket, car hire & town. 24 hour security which is also comforting. Great little stop over for a few nights with family. Kitchen & laundry in our room was a big help. Food in PV is not cheap so we opted to cook at home one night & sit on the verandah watching the view. Staff very lovely too. Nothing to not like.

• Brett (10/5): Beautiful people in a beautiful place. - Location was great, across from beautiful blue water, easy access to a supermarket up the road, car hire up the road, bars and restaurants nearby. Tough times post earthquake, so the accessibility of the main hub in town is restricted but not impossible to get into as a few business are starting to reopen. Highly recommend booking a car for your visit or get a grasp on transport. The locals are very helpful, honest and just beautiful people. Walking down the street with anyone and everyone saying ‘good morning’ or ‘happy new year’ sets the tone for how resilient, grateful and kind the locals are, the world could learn something. Elliot the apartment host was great, couldn’t do enough for us. We will return soon! Nil

• Annalisa (8/5): Very good - The apartments are well suited for a long stay trip. It is well situated within walking distance to the majority of travel/activity agents, transport hire, and ferries. Iririki Island is just across from the apartment with a free ferry where a day pass can be purchased. The majority of shops are just a few minutes away. The apartment included a kitchenette, washing machine, and dryer. The furniture is functional and clean. We were unfortunate to experience the earthquakes that hit Port Villa on 17/12/2024. However, Elliott and his staff were fantastic. He made sure we were safe and looked after. Even made sure we had internet again within days and assisted us were possible until flights were available, days after our initial booking. The earthquakes were proof that it is a strong and safe building with friendly, caring staff. The Waterfront bar across the street has great margaritas and tasty food if you don't feel like cooking. The Mariner is a good base to return to after a day of exploring.

• Pamela (10/5): Great choice in Port Vila - This is a great choice for those who want to be close to Port Vila. It’s only a short 10-minute walk to town, and in either direction there’s a Bon Marché supermarket. The apartment has a full-on kitchen with pretty much everything should you want to cook, or across the street is a very nice restaurant open for lunch and dinner. The apartment is very comfortable and everything works. The WiFi is very good and you even have Netflix. I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony reading and enjoying the view of the harbor across the way. You do get car noise from the road below, but that would be true of anywhere in Port Vila. It stops in the evening, so no problem and it didn’t bother me. The staff here are lovely people; they keep everything in spotless shape. Communication before and during my stay was excellent. I especially appreciated the transfer service to and from the airport. I’d happily stay here again.
• Rolltastic (10/5): Best place in Vila to stay. - Elliot and his team always look after me so well when I am in town. If you need to stay in Port Vila, then this is the location. Close to supermarkets and with onsite parking, the rooms are also fantastic with cooking facilities and comfy beds! The view from my balcony was amazing as usual and watching the sun go down over the water was stunning as always. Its on the main road but the traffic noise is minimal. Elliot always goes above and beyond to ensure my stay is great and he is very happy to help when things go wrong with flights etc which happens regularly in Vanuatu! Thanks again!
• Paula (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely large space with super comfy beds, good sized bathrooms and great full kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were excellent and it was great being a short walk away from the Waterfront Bar and Grill Restaurant which serves the best meals in Port Vila.
