- Gina (8/5): Excellent facilities as always and I highly commend the food and service in the Breakfast Restaurant - Pools as always were clean and clear as was the Jacuzzi. The staff in the restaurant went above and beyond at every level and should be highly commended for their customer service. The room layout was superb and we preferred this layout to our previous one as the kitchen being in the living area was much more preferable. The tiles on the corner verandah was heavily covered in bird excrement which I cleaned every day, from the first day. Housekeeping did not seem to touch this area. We experience a rather dramatic flooding of the apartment which I reported to reception and myself and my husband were actually cleaning it up when the housekeeping staff arrived. With no apparent understanding of english we were unclear what to do and left the apartment (after speaking with the Maintenance Manager) but we both felt that the Reception staff could have been more helpful AND could have followed up with us afterwards. As a person who worked in a Hotel & Country Club I would never have expected guests to clean up, anywhere.

Couldn't fault it Not a fan of Luz ourselves, its a little quiet but the hotel is in a perfect location for luz and the bus to lagos

A TV não se consegue aumentar ou diminuir o som, tem 2 comandos mas não é fácil. Na chegada acho que a recepção não explica muito. Tivemos de ser nós a perguntar os horários.
- Gail (10/5): A practical place for long term stay - We really enjoyed the location, the breakfast restaurant and the resort environment. The kitchen appliance facility is really good, I found it has everything we needed. It even provide a sandwich/lunch container for our hiking trip use which is great for supporting sustainable environment with less waste. As well, enjoyed the size of our suite, it made us feel at home. Our daily breakfast service experience was also very good, it really made morning easier before our daily outing activity. Our server provided us great friendly service and provided great tips for enjoying Algarve local experience. The resort location is not too far from the beach, we enjoyed watching sunset there. We also did a roundtrip day hike trail from Luz to Piedade, starting from the resort, very nice scenic trail. Highly recommended to anyone interesting hiking. Most of people stayed at this resort are retirees which makes our stay really peaceful. Nothing

- Susan (7/5): This was our 5th visit we do love the location, lovely breakfast every morning very friendly staff. - Staff were all excellent, we do feel the property should be refurbishing the bathrooms and putting some walk in showers. We did request a walk in shower but had 2 bathrooms both with showers over the bath leaving little room for getting in and out. The bathrooms our apartment needed another handrail for the stairs they were steep. There was no full length mirror in the apartment. Also a simple item of no tin opener one was brought to the apartment but didn’t work. There needs to be a ramp near the entrance for help with your suit cases the steps are difficult with heavy cases.

Lovely quiet pool area with a bar serving drinks and snacks. Friendly staff who were welcoming and accommodating. Short walk to the beach and restaurants. We absolutely loved staying here! Perfect end to a Portugal road trip and by far the best place we stayed in Portugal. The bar doesn’t open until midday so stock up on drinks/snacks!

Excellent breakfast provided each morning with a wide selection of foods and friendly efficient service from the staff Double bed in upstairs room hard as a rock Location is up a hill from the beach but Praia da luz is a hilly area overall with nowhere other than beach side escaping the hills

The apparment next door were owners who i think slept all day but as soon as you went to bed..there telly was blaring the guy kept coffing all night they kept on moving chairs..do not book this apartment i it's not nice to hear that every night The jacuzzi dud not work when it dud it was freezing. After breakfast u had to leave the resort to get anything to eat..no bar food at all by the pool. The gym was dated. .

- jill (10/5): Great place to stay with a group of friends. - The aprtment had a view of the sea. It was spacious and well-equipped with self-catering facilities. It had 2 larger pools, a spa, a gym, and an on-site restaurant. It was within a short walk of the apartment to the beach, bus stop, shops, walks and restaurants/bars. Apartments accessible by stairs or lifts.

We loved the resort, we loved the apartment, and we enjoyed a perfect balance of all positives of being in the resort and no negatives whatsoever! The space wasn't crowded despite the fact we were there in the time of high season, the place was divided into kids and family area and the adults area which gave everyone what they were looking for! I loved the fact they were using salt instead of chlorine in the pools! There were always free spaces at the pool! The breakfast was absolutely divine provided by the best service ! They made us feel looked after and cared for!

- Madeleine (8/5): A lovely place but didn’t entirely live up to our expectations. - Apartment was very good. Very well equipped and clean. Security was superb. Pools were nice. Short walking distance to town … uphill on way back but not too hard. The breakfast was lovely and the man in charge of restaurant was really friendly and warm. Staff at reception were very courteous… really nice and helpful. Spa brochure seemed reasonable but didn’t have time to try it out. It was difficult to find reception. When we arrived at 2.40ish there was nowhere in hotel resort to buy a snack to eat for lunch. There was a pool bar but it didn’t sell food as we were told it was the end of the season end of September. The pool bar guy appeared to be a bit abrupt when we enquired about bar food. The pool bar was shut on Tuesdays our 2nd day which unfortunately was the only full day we had there. The hotel served breakfast only. The bed itself was disappointing as was a double so we were a bit squashed and had assumed it would be king or queen size which possibly was down to our assumptions. The jacuzzi was broken sadly.

- Paul (10/5): Perfect spot close to beach - We stayed at app E1B. All roms are huge, except the toilet which is a little tight. The place is about 5 min walking distance. Groceries are at walking distance. Very good restaurant around, we had a dinner at the Indian restaurant called Pashmina. The quality of the food at breakfast is good but a little repetitive from day to day. There are a washing machine and dishwasher and all the equipment you need to cook and serve. Be careful, there is no salt and pepper in the appartement. We had a parking spot in the basement but our car size didn’t allow to park easily so we left the car outside. The resort is very clean and pool are very nice and water is clear. I would recommend this resort without any hesitation.

- Mei (7/5): Lovely stay - Our apartment was absolutely beautiful, one of the nicest we've ever stayed in (duplex B3F) with plenty of space and comfortable furniture. The cost was expensive but it was all that was available and during the height of summer. It was a wonderful space to relax in.The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could have needed except condiments. It even had a Nespresso machine with free pods. There is also a washing machine meaning you can do your holiday laundry so everything is clean when you return home! The apartment had the convenience of being self catering whilst having the advantage of regular cleaners and items being replenished. We also used the gym which was a good size and had a good range of equipment. There are three pools, an indoor heated pool which was lovely to use, an over 16 pool and a kids' pool. Pools are very clean with sunbeds all around but at times they did feel quite small, although true to size from the photos shown. There is a policy of not putting towels on sunbeds which, if all hotel users follow, means mornings are very relaxed and there isn't a horrible fight for sunbeds at 7am. The sauna is a great size and very clean. The breakfast is great - usual option of cooked, continental, fresh fruit, meats and pastries with lots of offers. Staff were all lovely, very friendly and helpful. Beach is about an 5-8 mins walk and stunning. Gets very busy but it is beautiful with golden sand and various activities on offer as well as loads of restaurants and bars. There only seemed to be one bar which was open from around lunchtime for limited hours. There was a separate place called chicos next door but this wasn't open every night. So for any drinks/meals you would need to head into town.

Welcome pack for water, milk, coffee , dishwasher tablets etc. breakfast was lovely, staff friendly and informative. Bar food good value and tasty Pool bar only opened at 1pm which was late for drinks by the pool and lunch

- MARIA TERESA (9/5): Excelente y Tranquilo resort en un pueblo tranquilo. - Urbanización muy cuidada, lo suficientemente alejada del centro y del bullicio para tener tranquilidad. El tener una piscina solo de adultos es un plus. Playa a 10 minutos andando, aunque luego el regreso es cuesta arriba. Personal muy amable. El mobiliario de terraza estaba un poco deteriorado. El jacuzzi no funcionaba.

Breakfast was never crowded and nice food. controlled access to gated property made it seem very secure. Washing machine facility in apartment. Nespresso coffee machine. The underground parking was generally good. Spaces are allocated to apartment numbers. Unfortunately, our space was very awkward to get in and out of, asthe adjoining space always full and the support pillars making it impossible to get straight in and out.

- Christine (5/5): Only had house keeping twice in 8 days breakfast was good a few staff were unhelpful - Breakfast was good We paid £75 for a welcome pack we got less than £20 of food 6 tbags 10 coffee sachets bread butter milk juice 6 small beers 6 eggs cheap ham and cheese slices . bacon bits oranges and apples bottle of wine we ordered the pack as we did not want to hire a car. On arrival we were given a map and sent on our way we are both disabled were not offered any help with luggage

Pools were nice and good to have an adults pool and family pool. Apartment was spacious. Layout is a bit odd - had to walk through the garage to get to the pools and restaurant - not a big problem.

Everywhere was very wll kept including the gardens, pool and places to eat, The atmosphere was a little strict and the times that the pool bar opened often left you without any food or drinks for a couple of hours. You were not allowed to take anything from the breakfast area back to your room or enjoy your own food and drink around the pool which made you not really want to be around there.

Breakfast was excellent especially the fresh squeezed orange juice and made to order eggs. Pool and weight room were excellent as well. Would definitely stay there again.
- Robert (10/5): Family Break. - The staff couldn't have been nicer. We were there during the Power Outage. The manager went to huge lengths to boil water so we could feed our baby. They also provided me with a very reliable taxi service for our transfer to Faro.

Vey quiet area, good location where we could travel around by bus cheaper and walk to the beach. Travelled as a family and the place was comfortable for all of us . - Joana (5/5): Passable - The gym is very good. The property is well located. The apartment was okay and had a great balcony as well as a good equipped kitchen. They were doing some works on the next door apartment. Lot of noise starting before 9am and during all day. The breakfast had a few options and unfortunately only bread as gluten free options. The staff was very kind and make them self available to find another options.
