Old style Hotel with old tatami. don't expect modern design and so on. the people help us for the delivery service for our luggages. very nice reception!

• FABIO (5/5): - La struttura è in un'ottima posizione e il personale è gentile e disponibile. Futon comodi, meno il cuscino. Entrando nella hall si ha la sensazione di una struttura moderna che però non abbiamo ritrovato in camera. Questa infatti era abbastanza vecchiotta e trasandata (es. crepe, buco nella parete di carta, segni di infiltrazioni passate). Colazione insapore, non ci ha per nulla convinti. Ci dispiace ma non lo consigliamo.
• Soebroto (9/5): Incredible location, such a sweet spot to take it all in. - The location is so beautiful. Our room had a small sitting area that looked over the small river. The big river and so many cool streets and places to eat are so close. We really appreciated the tea service every day. The room is clean and so comfortable. I didn't know there was an attached little seating area, it was so lovely. I wanted to be able to open the windows but it felt like I might break them.

• Debra (9/5): Absolutely wonderful! - How it was traditional, next to the river and quiet. I loved how charming it is and kind the staff was to us and our children. I wish the hair dryer worked but seems like they kept the original.

Extremely comfortable futon and tatami room with great views. Excellent location right on a cherry blossom covered stream. Can’t get much better than this to be honest. N/A.

• Niels (10/5): Authentic and welcoming - Very authentic and our host was very welcoming. Great location and view. Would stay there again without a doubt. The futons provided us with the best sleep yet on our trip.

• Jocelyn (10/5): Great Japanese Ryokan experience! - Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They called the taxi for us and also gave us directions to the nearest bus stop. Our room is spacious and has a nice mountain and river view in the balcony. There are many restaurants near the hotel. None.

Was very cool to stay in a traditional room there, if you're 6ft plus, watch your head a lot when moving inbetween rooms. Nothing i didnt like, althogh if i had to knitpick for the price, i wouldnt say its value for money. A 1 night stay here was perfect for a solo traveller. If your with friends or family, a longer stay would of been fun

Some decor is a bit tired; carpets could do with a good clean. The balcony of our 3rd floor room had window openings at floor height that a child could slip out of.
• ckim394 (8/5): - Everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay at this traditional ryokan hotel. Check-in was easy and we were able to check in a little earlier without issues. Check-in instructions were provided at the front desk and were very clear and easy to understand. You will have a code to the front door to enter the building and a private key to your room (only one key per hotel room). Our room on the fourth floor was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed like small fridge, balcony with amazing view, complementary green tea with hot water, bathing supplies (on the third floor), and cleaning services. Hotel offered breakfast and dinner for purchase for about $20 per person per meal. Hotel offered luggage delivery to our next destination and would have cost us only $20 to ship it to Kawaguchiko (takes about 1-2 days). Check-out was as easy as it sounds. Now something to consider. Building was a bit outdated. Shower/bath was separate from the toilet, which was in the separate part of our hotel room, which was a bit odd. No laundry in the building, so you gotta take your clothes to a coin laundry shop. There was a main light switch at the entrance, which controlled all lights in the hotel room.

• Liz (8/5): Cómo estancia. - La habitación era preciosa, nos dejaron una con vista a la calle la cual está preciosa, la limpieza de lo mejor, nos guardaron el equipaje. La ubicación no está tan cerca de los punto más turísticos por lo que si se camina bastante. A pesar de que la limpieza es buena, las instalaciones si se notan un poco viejas y desgastadas, como las alfombras de los pasillos y de la entrada, me parece que los precios si son un poquito costoso porque te venden la idea de ryokan o de alojamiento tradicional japonés, sin embargo no tienen baños onsen por lo cual si me parce que cobran en exceso.

• Amy (10/5): Would confidently recommend Tazuru! - The room was comfortable, cozy and had great vibes. The location simply could not be beat, it is so central, close to train stations, Gion, Nishiki Market etc. We had breakfast on one of the days in their restaurant with the river view, it was lovely and everything was delicious. The staff is friendly, warm and welcoming - and helpful! Would recommend. Honestly for a 4 star hotel I thought the interior would be slightly higher end but that is it's traditional charm so it's not really a negative.

Geleneksel Japon evi deneyimi sundular odamız çok ferahtı ve konaklama deneyimimizden inanılmaz keyif aldık. Odaya her gelişimizde günün yorgunluğunu masamıza bırakılan sıcak bir çayla giderdik :) Kyoto'ya bir dahaki gelişimizde yeniden tercihimiz olacağına şüphem yok

• Konstantin J (9/5): Atmospheric place in Kyoto - We stayed exclusively for the atmosphere, tatami mats and the nice location in downtown Kyoto. We enjoyed the shower and small bath inside our room. It was quite spacious. We loved sleeping on tatami mats, although it might be a bit hard for first time users. Also really friendly staff and close to all the major venues in Kyoto. The room itself was a bit tired and old. Some of the walls had stains, toilet was a bit older type as well. Since the walls are most likely quite thin during the night we could hear washing machine working for couple of hours, it was slightly disturbing my sleep.
