- John (6/5): - The place is great for sleeping, has a small balcony, and there is an attendant to greet you when you ring the bell. The negatives are lack of coffee pot/heater, no microwave, no small refrigerator. The location served us well as we walked to things in all directions from there.
- Theresa (10/5): - Very good value hostel within walking distance of all the major sights of the city. For other excursions not so close you are within minutes of either bus, metro or train routes. We had a double room with private bathroom and balcony, absolutely no issues at all. Staff were pleasant and approachable if needed but otherwise left you to enjoy your time. I had a very late check in of 10.30pm and one of the guys came over and checked me in without issues (I used the number on the door to call to advise I had arrived) and within 10mins they were in and checking me in. Perfect spacious room with cute little balcony. Its a no fuss accomodation. Has everything you need for 1 or 2 people. I was a solo traveller overnight. Room is spacious, comfortable bed, pillows, bathroom, has aircon and TV and toiletries. I would definitely stay here again and it's very well priced. Those complaining are skimping out and staying in places where its "you get what you pay for".

Llegue ahí a las 18:45 y no había nadie tuve que esperar hasta las 19h. Las toallas estaban sucias (nos las cambiaron), la sabana tambien estaba sucia (nos dieron recambio para cambiar), la puerta del baño se quedo bloqueada, no se podía ni abrir ni cerrar. No volvere nunca mas, yo y mi pareja hemos salido horrorizados del servicio y la habitación.

- KAI NGAI (6/5): The hot shower didn’t working on Sunday - The location is quite convenient and several metro station nearby. It is also convenient to go sightseeing or airport by bus. The hotel is small but cozy enough to worth the price. The only problem is that the shower ran out of hot water on Sunday and hotel could not fix the problem because the technician was not working on Sunday. We had to take a quick cold shower in winter. Hope the hotel can improve this kind of emergency.

- Verified traveler (8/5): A very good hotel for family, value for money. - The location is very convenient with 3 minutes walk to supermarket, 15 minutes walk to Sagrada Familia, 15 minutes walk to Aerobus Station which means easy access to Barcelona airport. Their friendly staff has been very helpful.
- Maria (10/5): Hotel - fab - The hotel is around 10 to 15 min walk from the fountains. It's in the middle of where the locals are, lots of shops and supermarkets and places to eat, feels like spain not a busy city. So best of both worlds if you stay here you can leave the busy centre and go back to a fab little area and see the real barcelona. Hotel was quiet and rooms were clean. The man who was running it was so helpful I have to give him a 5 star. Thank you for my stay and yes I would return again. Great little place.

The rooms were a lot smaller and not clean as pictured, at least not for the price I pad per night, over $100 a night. I've stayed in better motels and hostels for under $40 a night. Location lacks everything. However, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful and I think he tries his best to keep it nice and as clean as possible. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend.

The rooms were not that great, there were a few mold spots and ventilation does not exist, which is probably why the mold remains. For the price, you pay for small room that is near the center of Barcelona (25 minute walk). Do not take many things with you because space is limited.

- JEFFERY (8/5): Great location. - On the first day our taxi could not stop infront of the hotel, so taxi dropped us off 4 blocks from hotel, which we had to pushed 3 suite cases for 4 blocks to the hotel. Our first night the room was an older model, and that night someone in the hotel was talking loud and partying until 3am, on our second night we got a newer room which was very nice and clean. IN all the location is super, right on La Rambla main street and right across from the Boqueria Market, cant get any better than this. and the price is right. Will be back

- Liam (10/5): Would definitely recommend - This place was great. Really comfy double bed, flatscreen, private bathroom with a shower and toiletries included. Location is perfect too, 10 minute walk to Sagrada Familia, 10 minutes to Ciutadella Park, 15 minutes the Rambla and situated right by metro purple line, which gets you across the city. I've stayed in a couple of places in Barcelona as I was moving over here and had to make use of hotels and hostels whilst apartment-hunting and in terms of value for money, I didn't find anything better than here.

The hotel is close to many tourist atteactions and is also close to local eateries and supermarkerts. The room was neat,bed was comfortable and had a private bathroom. I would stay here again.

You do hear the people walking up and downstairs and or walking in to go to their room at all hours of the night. Besides that the stay was pleasantl. - Sophie (10/5): Recommended :) - The room was great, clean and exactly what we thought it'd be. Like a budget hotel room such as a Premier Inn. Comfortable bed, the heating system kept the room a lovely temperature (although you could change it if you wanted) the en suite was bigger than I expected and was also very clean :) The location is a bit out of the main area but very close to La Sagrada Familia and everything is still within walking distance such as La Rambla. Also there is a Lidl around the corner which was perfect as we could get snacks and lunch on a budget :) The staff were lovely and said good morning everyday and asked how we were :)

Disappointed not to have a desk in the room, and we were unable to control the thermostat, so room was a little cold, and would have benefited from an extra blanket. We had actually booked an inside facing room, but got one facing the street which was a little noisy too.

The room we had was not big but very well distributed, so we did not feel cloistered at all. We just love it. Alex, the owner/manager was most accommodating and helpful. Ralph and Mario are friendly, helpful and very professional.

- David (4/5): Close to Gaudi's works - We had a great stay in Barcelona. We walked to every site we visited, most of them works by the famous and eccentric architect, Antoni Gaudi. The walks in the narrow and charming streets of "Barri Gothic" (the gothic quarter) with its intriguing shops, cafés and restaurants is just wonderful, as well as the La Ribera quarter with much the same charm and ambience as Barri Gothic - have a wine tasting and some excellent tapas at "la Vinya del Senyor" in "Placa Santa Maria". But the hotel front door was locked, when we arrived, as well as the door to the corridor, where the check in counter was. That seemed uninviting and unfriendly, also it made us unsure whether we had come to the right place or not; and there were cockroaches in the entrance hall.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good enough - I stayed in a small single room with its own bathroom. The bathroom was ok, a bit of mildew and old hairs here and there but overall clean enough. The bed was comfortable but the worst part was that the sheets had marks and a yellow stain (yuck). The best part was that it had a large balcony facing the intersection. The location is also quite central to many things.
- Becky (6/5): Good location, cheap but noisy and smelly - We stayed here in March 2016 for a few nights. Hotel: We didn't realise this is actually a hostel. It's hidden away so keep your eyes peeled for a small sign. Location is fine - a 15/20 minute walk from the centre but at least supermarkets and cafes were cheaper. Room: The room (a double with mini balcony) was nicely presented and clean and just big enough for a short stay. However the bathroom has no ventilation and stinks of mould and damp, which penetrates the entire room. The balcony had just one chair and opened up onto a busy road which meant sitting outside wasn't an option. Noise from people coming and going throughout the day and night was a big issue - the main doorbell downstairs woke us up several times every night, as did people talking in adjacent rooms. Staff: The single member of staff nice enough, though English was an issue. Conclusion: A nice enough place to stay if on a budget and you plan to be out and about all the time, though it's only manageable for a few nights.
- Jenny (10/5): Excellent neighborhood guesthouse - I stayed here for 5 nights on a solo trip to Barcelona. The hostal is in a great location - a block from the Tetuan metro stop, 15 min walk to Sagrada Familia, easy access to everything but with a more neighborhood feel than staying in the downtown core. I frequently came back late at night by myself and felt quite safe. Alex at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly upon my arrival, and the cleaning staff were also quite helpful. Very reasonable price, as well. The room was plenty large enough, had a full bathroom ensuite and a closet for unpacking. No desk, but that was fine with me. I recommend getting a room with a balcony - mine was small and I didn't spend a lot of time on it, but getting to open the doors for light and air was wonderful. Bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean. I've seen many reviews that mention thin walls but I didn't have any problem with noise. Next time I'm in Barcelona I will definitely book here again!
- Georgia (8/5): Hotel fairly central and close to metro stop - Hotel was just under 15 minutes walking from the centre and located in a quieter area. Shops and restaurants near hotel. Balcony was tiny. Staff were never on reception apart from check in/out. Room was lovely, and felt safe in there
- Robert (10/5): Far exceeded expectations! - We were looking for a place on a budget that was still close to the sights (we easily walked to the Sagrada in the morning), and were nervous about the designation of hostel. But we were very impressed with the cleanliness and privacy of our double room. We were on the second floor in the room one in from the corner which had a huge closed in balcony that protruded out over the street. It was the perfect place to sip coffee and watch the world go by. Air conditioning was a big plus in the summer heat. Staff was a little hard to find as there are a number of rooms on different floors accessed by a common building stairway and tiny lift, but once you got a hold of someone they were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Central, affordable and clean - I stayed at the Hostelin Barcelona for 4 nights early August 2014. The staff that we dealt with were very friendly, knowledgable about the city and extremely helpful. The double rooms were a good size and comfortable. The rooms were clean and modern, the bathroom and shower were impressive for such affordable accommodation. Jorge, our host, was fantastic- very helpful and accommodating- really went the extra mile. I wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.
- ana (8/5): Nice stay - Great location clean the room is small but all that you need to enjoy barcelona . The eixample is located in the heart of the city. Super clean Jorge was great and very nice and super helpful. I definitely recomend this hotel.
- kufu's diciples (6/5): Convenient and decent - besides the smell! - The hotel was in a good spot, not far from the metro and roughly a 20 min walk from Catalunya square. We got the hotel on an online deal, and we were impressed with the room's overall condition. The room was tidied each day and toiletries replenished. However overall the room was small, particularly in terms of storage space for putting clothes and the size of the shower cubicle. Additionally the walls were pretty thin and you could hear others snoring pretty loudly in the room next door! However the most disappointing aspect of the stay was the smell of bins and at times sewers and drains. This wasn't just in our room, but also in the hallway on the ground floor leading up to the hotel reception. Overall a decent bet given its price but not much to write home about.
- Brad and Dianne (8/5): Walking distance to most sights - This place was very convient to most sights. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They also spoke english. Extremely great price, especially if you are willing to stay in a windowless bedroom ( there is a small window in the bathroom.
