• Joseph (4/5): - Booked last minute, so maybe a factor. The room had an odor, like they used some type of cleaning agent mixed with stale air, and wet wood. We kept the door open to get rid of the smell to no avail. Since we there only overnight we just tried to ignore it. They only offered twin or full sized bed which offered no comfort at all. The breakfast was nice, but had to request staff get rid of the ants that appeared out of nowhere. The pool was nice and clean, and probably the best thing there. It's located in an alley, so returning at night can be a bit... Anyway, for the price and only needed a rest spot, i gave it three generous stars.

• Terry (6/5): - Average hotel, off the main road via an unpaved side road. The rooms are not very sound proof and we had to wear ear plugs to get a decent sleep. Our friends had a room next to the bright Ipil sign with no curtains on that window! You could read a book at night with no lights on in the room.

Hotel was very quiet, so apart from pool and breakfast, there are few facilities atm, but that was fine for me. Great little water machine for hot and cold drinks, efficient AC. Its in a good spot for Rizal Avenue where you can catch a tuk tuk anywhere, but the street to the entrance is dark and rubbled, so take care. Staff friendly and the pool/ gardens pretty. Wifi good.

• Alan_and_Moya (6/5): A Good, Clean and Basic Place to Stay - Ipil Suites are accessed down a pot holed dirt lane off the main road of Rizal Avenue. At first this could be a bit of a worry, but, it is a good thing. Ipil Suites is clean and well presented. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms can be small and spars, there is a fridge and a jug to boil water but no tea or coffee makings. No bottles of water supplied either only a water cooler near the stairs. Not sure if this water is safe to drink, I do know that the tap water isn't. There's no hotel information folder in the room and no information about where to eat outside the hotel, the nearest ATM or rough prices for taxi or tuk tuks. Breakfast is basic, not a like some hotels where there is an abundance of food choice. The wifi is very good however. Would I stay here again? Yes for sure but only for a few nights.

Lobby reeked of mold, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Would not recommend. This hotel ruined our stay in Puerto Prinsesa If you have enemies, tell them to stay here!😡😡😡
• Nestor (6/5): COULD BE BETTER - Not all rooms are the same. My friends' rooms had telephone and a fridge while ours didn't. The room was adequately clean. The shower floor was slippery, indicating not properly cleaned (soap scum?). Tiny ants in cabinets, too.
• Lauren (10/5): Great hotel at a great price close to the airport - We loved this hotel! Great price, decent breakfast included, nice pool area and comfy bed. Good aircon, refillable drinking water and nice staff. Only criticism would be the curtains were quite thin so was very bright in the room, we had sleep masks so didn't bother us but something to think about upgrading maybe for other guests.

Room was clean, however wasn’t able to lock or unlock the door so changed rooms, no problem with the second. Stunning views from the fourth floor where breakfast was served. Didn’t use the pool, looked OK. Central location, good hotel for my two nights!

• Agnieszka (4/5): - We had a room without a window - well there was a window but facing some dirty in-building facade so basically you need to have curtains on all the time. The room was super small, it had a tiny bathroom where we could barely move. The bed was old and the size was more as for 1 person - each time we moved we had to do this super carefully to not fall on the floor (sleepless night). The cleaning staff was pleasant, but the receptionist looked like she does not want to be there. We stayed there one night only before our flight (free airport shuttle, takes 15 min), but I would choose another hotel next time, as we could not fall asleep on this bed anyway...

• EthanFriedman (6/5): Merely Adequate - My tour group stayed at the Ipil Suites for one night. Though the hotel was okay, I was glad not to stay more than a single day. The room was very small and plain, with small single beds; in no way could it be described as a "suite." The breakfast buffet had limited choices, and I was not impressed with the quality. In fairness, however, I have to say that the swimming pool was beautiful; if we had been there for more than one day, I would certainly have made use of it.
• Navigator50116708525 (4/5): No to booking direct! - I had the worst booking with this hotel. I thought booking direct would be best but NOPE! I gave them my credit card details to pay for the room in advance and the week before we arrive i ask about the reservation and they tell me we arent booked with them??? Imagine if i didnt call them again and arrive to the hotel only to find out they didnt reserve it yet but took my money. I even had to follow up on airport pick up thru 4 mobile numbers until someone picked up!!! They even sounded like they forgot about it. Worst experience ever. Didnt even get a proper apology. Tip: dont book direct. Maybe theyll treat you better if u book thru their OTAs...

But it was close enough to bike rentals, plenty of places to eat, bars, etc. The breakfast was fantastic and the pool was clean. It was a great deal and hotel all around for PPS, I'd highly recommend.

Especially at the Reception they were all attentive to all our needs and requests. The rooms are clean and relaxing to stay and Value for Money, the buffet breakfaST was AWESOME and DELICIOUS! special thanks to " BIBOY " he's very Professional everytime he's serving us and all other guests. • enchoo (10/5): Great experience there with swimming pool - The hotel's location was quite accessible and breakfast selection is great with American or Filipino styles. staff was very approachable and courteous. Our standard room was clean, spacious, and in excellent condition. Overall, this accommodation is a bit expensive but also value for money. I enjoyed the swimming pool. Trike to Robinson or SM mall and back was usually 50 pesos each way. This location was quite exclusive and their shower and restroom were in luxurious circumstances. The airport transfer was smooth both ways.

We choose the place because they have pool and near the airport (15-20mins away). Hotel staffs were great! Breakfast buffet not fun with, I dont expect too much since I dont really eat in the morning.
• mandy0029 (6/5): Walls too thin? - Stayed overnight in a standard room on August 2018. Hotel's a little out of the way but not that hard to find. Staff was helpful and accommodating, had a bit of an issue with the airport transfer but they immediately fixed it. Breakfast was just ok, it was the view from the open-air restaurant on the 4th floor that made up for it. Room smelled musty the moment we stepped in and stayed that way throughout our entire stay. The biggest issue I had was the noise. I'm not sure if the walls were too thin, but I could hear practically everything from inside our room: other visitors talking as they walked by, doors slamming, even the plates clattering all the way from the 4th floor (we were on the 2nd floor). I would have been willing to give this hotel a second chance had it not been for the noise. Peace and quiet are very important to me.
• Jodz (6/5): MUST READ (Great info for foreigners) - Firstly, the hotel is situated in the town. Very close to some nice restaurants. However, wifi absolutely sucks here, not only are you limited to the lobby to get wifi but you are also limited to the lobby or the stairs to get cellphone signal on your phone. The overall facilities could improve as there is literally a bed, tv, towel, a pitcher and two drinking glasses, a desk and chair in the room. I would have rated the staff higher had I not had a bad experience with one staff member. She literally lied to me about the cost of transportation when I just got there, she told me that one trip less than a kilo was 250 - 300 pesos when in reality its no more than 40 pesos and actually the residents pay 10 pesos. To add insult to injury, I asked her for recommendations for a good seafood place which she recommended and called a "tricycle" for me. They seemed to be working together because he told me the same figure that she said. She also charged me twice for early checking, after I had paid for it upon my arrival with cash, she placed it on my bill again. I told the hotel all of this when checking out but given that I don"t know what will happen I think people should be aware and be on their guards. The other staff members were very good, they were helpful, friendly and provided good recommendations when asked. The breakfast was pretty much the same for the entire trip, that definitely needs to change because it gets quite boring, especially if you stay for long periods.

• elisadens (8/5): Decent Hotel - My family checked in this hotel on July 6,2018 and stayed for few days . For the price we paid , I would say it is pretty decent . The rooms are small , the bathroom are small as well but the air condition are in good condition . The entrance of the hotel is quite off road but they have a sign board that you can see . It’s quite muddy as well for there is an ongoing road construction on the main road. There is always breakfast buffet from Filipino food to continental breakfast . I loved danggit ( dried fish) with their garlic fried rice . The staff are very respectful , friendly and approachable. We stayed for 6 days so we tend to know almost everyone . Our linens were not changed on the 3rd day and shampoo, conditioner and bath gel was only 2.( and we are 4). We spoke to Lucita ( housekeeping supervisor) and on the 4th day our linens were changed and shampoo, conditioner and bath gel were no longer a problem . There is a small pool but well maintained . There was only 1 working thread mill but we only used it for 1 day. There are nearby restaurants too. This hotel is small but terrible , breakfast buffet excellent , staff are friendly with free airport shuttle , price is excellent . WiFi is always a problem in Palawan ( not only in this hotel ) If given a chance , I will check again in this hotel ..
• Mushoo5 (6/5): Overnight stay - Stayed here for only one night, great staff who helped us to our room. The room was slightly of the small side. There was just about enough room for me and my friend to walk around. The bed was in the centre of the room and a small en-suite which was small, the door had to be closed so you could access the shower, but had all the amenities. The bed was comfortable and the free wifi was the bonus for the stay. On our stay we had a tour booked in before an overnight flight so the staff let us store our suitcase while we went on our tour and even let us use one room to change after the tour, bearing in mind we had already checked out in the morning. Breakfast was really good, it was outside by the pool and there was a variety of warm and cold foods to select from.
• bellamoonchie (2/5): Airplane size bathrooms - Bathroom is only as big as an airplane’s bathroom. Even for a small person, you can hardly wash your face without bumping on the bathroom door. Rooms are very small. First room they gave us has a view of a construction and has a hole as big as lemon on the ceiling. Room was dusty. Lots of mosquitoes.
• David (8/5): Aquari In Palawan - Since the airport has moved to the opposite side of the airfield, transept is very hard to get.A major factor. Hotel is pleasant clean, safe,location a bit set back. Improvements in the expansion, rooms a bit small space wise, yet convenient. Overall 1-5 scale 2.5. Empoyees make up all the differences where certain things are lacking. I also had to realise where i am at and country.

• martyngs (6/5): Faded but OK - Somewhat faded and rooms quite small. Swimming pool, in room wifi (but better in the lobby), good buffet breakfast. A bit out of city centre, but a couple of good restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Rooms on ground floor seem very close to reception, but think they would be fairly quiet after 9 pm. Rooms on higher floors may have a better view, but there will be some noise from cockerels etc early in the morning.
• timhD5572QG (8/5): Nice, Quiet, Pool, Good Breakfast - This hotel was fairly modern, clean and quiet. The pool was very nice after a long day of travel. Our room was small but adequate. The hotel sits off the main road so it is quiet. A couple of travelers had rooms with a must smell and the staff worked to fish that. Breakfast was excellent with eggs to order and lots of choice. Brewed coffee. The restaurant just besides the hotel was also very nice. Recommend!
• ericgatchalian (10/5): Great People, Great Experience and Great for the Budget - My family and friends had an awesome time staying at both Ipil Suites in Puerto Princesa and El Nido. The staff was right there when you need them, and it didn't matter at what time of the day. Service was great and always with a smile. Breakfast was Excellent. We love the fact that they have cable TV and WiFi, although the WiFi connection is temperamental, it's Palawan anyway. The experience was priceless. Would love to be back!
• daniel_howard84 (2/5): Terrible Hotel - How on Earth is this place still open?? Checked in around Afternoon time and Checked out 1 hour later. Room had no window, bed sheets was stained, room smelled like damp and to top it off, if I wanted to sit on the toilet my legs would have been in the shower. pool was full of leaves. all an all wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

• vickymill (8/5): Clean and comfortable hotel - Comfortable hotel with clean rooms. Location near the centre of Puerto Princesa and easy to find a tricycle to get around. Swimming pool was a nice size with plenty of sunbeds. Also really liked the fact that there was a water dispenser on each floor, so you could refill your own bottles rather than constantly buying new plastic ones. One downside was the early morning noise (cockerels, and people leaving for trips), but this is typical of Philippine hotels - worth bringing some earplugs!
• leighn (8/5): My home for the Convention - Glad to booked this hotel for 5 days and 4 nights for the Pharmacy Convention.. Located near the old airport.. Not on the main road so I loved it..Standard room with basic amenities, wifi only in common areas and some lucky rooms near the router, no coffee and tea making facility (would still have to go down to the resto to ask for hot water).. Resto served yummy and freshly cooked food though with very limited choices from the menu. Buffet breakfast with limited choices but still delicious and sufficient for all the guests. Staff are courteous, attentive and approachable..Special mention to the staff (forgot to get his name - Hello sir!) in charge of the egg station every morning for being so approachable. Overall, i loved my stay here in Ipil Suites.

It comes with a pool and a gym, which was well-maintained. The buffet breakfast included in our stay was worth it. Phone signal was sporadic sometimes. There's a free wifi which can be used in the lobby only. The hotel also offer transfers going to the airport.

The staff were super friendly and the food was pretty good! It was also in a handy location for us as it was near the airport. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing would be is that the rooms near a bit of a refresher, but for the price we paid we definitely cannot complain. Thanks Ipil!

The only downside to this is that the wifi was awful that we couldn't get any signal. This made the most impact because we are two visitors who did not have access to the local services.
• luv2Travel604 (8/5): Excellent value close to the airport - Stayed at Ipil suites for two nights,after staying at their sister hotel in El Nido. The hotel has a beautiful foyer,and the pool looked divine, although I didn't get a chance to try it out. We booked for the cheapest room,so it was cosy and without a view, but had everything we needed. The restaurant for dinner is reasonable,and the breakfast on the terrace was lovely. The staff were excellent, both the restaurant and front desk staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. Great if you are flying from Puerto Princesa as they offer a free shuttle service and less than 10mins away,but if wanting to get to the main hub of the city,you will need to take a taxi or tricycle. Overall,a very pleasant stay.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Relaxing stay, value for money - all the hotel staff were very friendly and courteous. room was clean and beds comfortable. I love that there was ref as most hotels in Palawan does not have refrigerator. the only thing is that the aircon was located on the top wall on the side of the bed, so the vent is facing the upper portion of our bodies and blowing cold air directly on our faces and backs. It should have been located on the wall by the foot of our bed so that the air will blow directly on us but not on our faces. Also they do not serve lunch so we were forced to eat out during lunch when it was hot.

Just for 2 nights stay, I was treated like a family from check-in to check-out. I was welcomed by Jie at the hotel, she is so efficient and very polite. Despite of the busy lobby during my arrival I didn't have line up and wait to be checked in as I was accommodated by her and even carried my things to my room by herself. They do not served lunch at the hotel, breakfast is served at the 4th floor and dinner at the poolside area. On my first morning, I received a call from Cazandra at 8:30am reminding me that breakfast is due at 9am. I was thankful for her doing it, otherwise I missed the sumptuous breakfast that day prepared by Chef Ronnie and Jackie and the beautiful view from the top. I was greeted good morning by Biboy, Rudy and Joy with smile. Rudy is their little chef, he made the best omelet for me. I felt so special during my stay, everyone seems to know me. They call me by my name and always receive their smile. It was Edison who dropped me at the airport, everyone I meet is service oriented, they are well trained. Sorry if I forgot the names of other staff that made my stay AWESOME.
• 835edelynl (10/5): Ipil Suites Puerto Prinsesa - We stayed here for 3 nights relaxing & comfortable. Clean rooms, wonderful facilities and the cctv camera was working! A friendly staff and thumbs up to Ms. Jules the General Manager very proffesional and accomodating.😊
• LITO (6/5): Ok but not great. - Room & bathroom too small. Don't even have a space to sit down & have conversation w/ your companion except on bed. But I would still rate it as Ok considering other 3 star hotels in PPS.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice hotel! - We had an amazing stay. We arrived there late and gave us a better room than the one we had paid for. Comfortable beds and with AC. People were really nice. Breakfast was ok. Then they took us to the airport ( free)
• John (8/5): Great spot - Right spot. Very close to airport so ride is cheap. Nice staff, very helpful and friendly. Needed some tips and guidance but overall really chill. The breakfast was the best I have had so far. Excellent! Perfect jump off point for El Nido and everything else

• Lin (8/5): Location of hotel across the airport, conveniient - Staff were nice and friendly. No elevator, we had to climb 3 floors. We were on the 3rdfloor. Food was served cold. Toilet seat was loose. Air con was too cold when on, hard to control.

• orlando (8/5): Nice hotel walking distance from the airport - Very helpful staff, clean rooms, although the lack of a desk in the room but that is only me that I do work at least 2 hours while I am holidaying. Overall nice hotel with good value for your money . They have arranged free taxi for me at 3am to the airport, nice of them
• Genie (10/5): Great hotel for the price - Hotel was exceptional for the price. Our room was clean and bathroom was updated. The mattress was a little hard for my preference. Breakfast was traditional Filipino fare.
• Nir (10/5): The best hotel in Elnidi town - Probably the best hotel in Elnido town. Cozy room (took the one with a queen bed), great service and very good breakfast. Will definitely come back to this one! (Tried some others in the town..)
• daar (8/5): Satisfied - I stay for 2 days. Hotel staff very kind and helpful. Hotel facilities very satisfactory. Bad and toilet very clean. Hotel location very close to airport within walking distance only. Except wireless internet service in the room always no coverage.
