Timothy (10/5): - We came during a quiet time of the year (beginning of June). It was lovely! We enjoyed many walks around the property and enjoyed seeing the kangaroos and birds. The suite was also very comfortable. The only thing we would say is that the reception was never open during the time we were there - we simply picked up our keys and dropped them off at the end. I understand it was off-season, and I also realize it would have been easy to call the number listed, but all we wanted was to drop in and see what DVD's, books, and games they had to use. We didn't feel bothered enough to call, but thought it would've been nice if there was at least a short time each day when the reception was open to walk in.
Kok Wah (10/5): - The chalet was clean spacious and located among trees with lots of shade and a nice bush walking trail. The Property Manager was helpful and friendly.

Briony (6/5): - There was a baby and family adjoining. At 9pm the grandparents knocked on our door to ask us to be more quiet. We were talking at the dining room…. Not overly loud, no music, no tv on. We were whispering whilst inside from then on….ridiculous

Colin (6/5): - Cups, glasses, cutlery and plates were not clean, had not been checked, had to clean literally everything before use, toilet smelt of body odour/stagnant water, overall smell of property was not great, even air freshener would have helped, did not smell 'clean'. Gas bottles were changed but not turned on so hot water did not work for at least a couple of hours(not fault of management but of mitre 10 who carry out bottle replacements) TV worked for about 30 mins, then no signal from antenna displayed on TV, no DVD player etc or WiFi so no entertainment. No information about area, restaurants, things to do on display, no contact number in chalet to contact management. A QR code on the fridge is not sufficient for all the info people might need, especially for older generations who might not even know what a QR code is. A simple information folder would be sufficient. Would not recommend this accommodation.
MARK (10/5): Great jumping off point - Comfortable and relaxed with an excellent shower and plenty of hot water. Comfy beds and well appointed kitchen for the self contained stay.
Kathy (8/5): - We can comfortably recommend this property if you’re looking for a private cosy house in a lovely treed location. The house had all we needed for a relaxing holiday, lovely natural showering products , thankfully a blow dryer for us girls, a nice warm gas heater and decent size TV with internet. We were within easy access to the towns and the great wineries nearby. Would stay here again definitely.

Chu-Beng (10/5): - We had a lovely 2 nights in one of the chalets. Loved the forest setting, the quietness of the place. Kitchen is very well equiped and the place was clean. The only thing was there was no body wash provided. We didn’t bring any and not used to using the bar soap. We ended up using the shampoo as our body wash. It was ok though.
mike (10/5): - This is a hidden gem! Absolutely loved it! The building is a wood structure, so unfortunately we had loud neighbours for the last few days & they were loud. Other than that - at last a place we will gladly return to! Absolutely stunning!

DIANE (10/5): - We spent three nights here - four adults and four children. We had the whole of one of the cabins which was brilliant as we could be separate or together. The kids loved the playground and we all loved the wildlife - tame kookaburras, tame possums, kangaroos. It was very peaceful and we all said we would come back. A beautiful sanctuary in amongst the trees. It had everything we needed.
Natalie (10/5): - Great stay at Yallingup Forest Chalets, wish we could of stayed longer! Great location, so quiet and peaceful. Beautiful surroundings.... Only criticism would be perhaps the bathroom could use a bit of a makeover with the shower curtains and lack of storage. There were also no breakfast/dinner bowls in the kitchen. Apart from those minor things it was a lovely stay and will hopefully be back to stay again soon!

William (10/5): Nature Stay… - Very nice place to stay, surrounded by clean air forests. A lot of different activities you can do around the area such as tennis, trailing, hiking or relaxing drink wine with nice view. Very recommended. I’ll definitely back again when going to Yallingup.

Hilary (10/5): - I like the way the cabins were well spaced, nestled into the hill and surrounded by trees and native vegetation. Kangaroos and birds were frequently seen. I heard a mopoke owl last night; that was nice. The pool and barbeque area was attractive and well equipped. The beds were comfortable; the carpet and painting seemed new but the kitchen cupboards and bathroom seemed "tired". It's a comfortable family friendly place to stay

Didn't hear anything or even see the property managers during the entire stay. Arrived before 5 and reception was already closed. house was average at best and not very clean
Mark (10/5): Perfect quiet getaway. - A fantastic spot for a getaway with my two sons. Central to Dunsborough and the surrounding sites to see and shops, wineries, etc. The chalet was excellent with all we needed being provided and a friendly staff at reception. Our second visit but my boys (24 & 39... that's their ages, not their names! :) ) were clear that this wouldn't be our last visit. Peaceful bush setting that is well away from the neighbouring chalets and you wouldn't know if someone was in the adjoining one! Birdlife and kangaroos at your door. Just a delight!

The chalets are quite private but there can be noise from your neighbours as there is a thin wall separating adjoining chalets. There is soap given but no other toiletries were provided. The facilities are a bit dated but satisfactory to stay while exploring the beautiful region

Sean (10/5): Forest retreat - Great location and entertainment onsite for the family in amongst the forest. The accommodation was excellent, well maintained and set up. Loved the surrounding nature, wildlife and peaceful environment of the forest. The play park, tennis courts and trampoline was good entertainment for the kids although Pool was too cold for this time of year which we did not brave to try. Not far away from Dunsborough, beaches, restraunts and entertainment this location was ideal for an adventure. We will definitely be back, the value for money with fantastic.

Craig (10/5): Great weekend away. - The resort is a great place to take the kids. The rooms are clean and spacious and the wrap around veranda is a great place for the kids to play if the weather turns. It is close to the vineyards at Margaret River while being in a tranquil bush setting.
Shelley (10/5): Lovely family break - We stayed for 3 nights, 2 adults and 2 kids. The lodge was really spacious and clean. The forest setting is lovely it makes it so relaxing. Love that they have free tennis and the BBQ and pool are all together in one area. the location is brilliant being between yallingup and dunsborough. We even got a take away delivered to the resort as well from dunsborough. We will definitely stay here again. Also would be great if we came with more family because the lodge are adjoining with an interconnecting door if you wish.
Mark (10/5): Great family getaway - A very relaxed few days away with my sons and the accommodation was very comfortable and well appointed. Quiet bush setting with duplex chalets well spread apart. The birdlife and roos were a delight. Friendly office staff.
Peter (10/5): Midweek stay Yallingup Forest Resort. - Enjoyed our midweek stay. So quiet I 'm not sure if there were any other guests. Very pleasant staff. Close enough to Dunsborough to be convenient and yet far enough away to be quiet and secluded. Cheese factory, chocolate factory, swimming and fishing beaches all within a short distance. So many things to do in a short distance from the resort we should have booked a longer stay.

Verified traveler (6/5): Nice wild but ok - The woman at the desk was very nice and the place was very clean. We saw a few kangaroos and a very friendly kookaburra. What we didn't enjoy was the place was very basic. Far from the action, no throw pillows, cheaper end fixtures, beds not that comfortable and blinds were installed incorrectly which let a lot of light in the bedrooms. Without aircon we found the rooms uncomfortable midday in February but it probably would be ok in the other months.
Brad (8/5): Beautiful bush setting - Beautiful natural bush location between Yallingup and Dunsborough. Lovely big balcony to sit outside. Great for children or relaxing on the balcony. Kitchen facilities are well equipped with cooking equipment and minimal supplies. Bathroom is a bit dated and needs some work. Will need a car to get around the local area as it is quite isolated from the towns. We love this area and always enjoy ourselves each time we visit.
Simone (10/5): Yallingup Family Holiday - The cottage was great, 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. What impressed me the most was that everything was so clean. The house was spacious enough for us, three adults and a child. The staff were really friendly, everything you needed was available. Ava loved the pool, the trampoline and getting to play tennis. It was also so quiet. We had kangaroos right outside our cottage and I was able to run each morning on the bush track that takes you to Ngali Cave. A great family stay. I would strongly recommend this resort to families. My daughter is 6 and she loved it!
Jennifer (10/5): Bush Gem - Such a lovely spot in the heart of the forest. A kookaburra sat on the verandah with us for about 20 minutes! It is a short drive to Yallingup in one direction and Dunsborough in the other - perfect! The Bush Shack brewery is a few hundred metres away, good for a quiet drink, with an excellent choice of beers on tap. Only slight negative is that the noise from the neighbours carries through the floorboards. Otherwise perfect privacy.
DAVID (8/5): You can feel the serenity - Self contained chalet was comfortable with everything you need (except wifi). Lots of interesting walk trails in the area.
Verified traveler (8/5): Australian bush haven hideaway 5 mins from the sea - What a special find this Yalingup Forest Resort was to our Perth family visiting for a week a few days before Christmas and leaving the day after Boxing Day. Consequently, the silence but for the abundant bird life, was divine! We were even visited by the resident Peacock in full, fine resplendent plummage. Yalingup Beach, one of the world's hottest surf breaks was five minutes away by car, as was the Caves House Hotel, whose excellent restaurants, bars, outdoor cinema, bands and variety of foods, provided a sumptuous break from cooking! Our chalet was spacious, clean and the kitchen, ample enough for us to cook the full traditional Christmas turkey and ham! Splendid! Highly recommended!
Alby (6/5): Comfortable quiet location - Close to Dunsborough. Basic amenities. Didn't realise that we would have two adjoining chalets in one large house until we arrived. Lovely flora and fauna and walk to local brewery for a beer. Grounds could be better kept with paths from shacks to pool etc. Best aspect was that it never felt busy or crowded. The kids loved the trampoline and pool.
