Guest Reviews
- Joseph (4/5): Something went wrong with pest control - Definitely there was something wrong with the pest control during my stay, can easily spot flies in the room, especially in the bathroom as if something went rotten above the ceiling and attracted all the flies
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good location, nice staff but very tiny room.
Good choice for F1 event, there are 10-15 walk to the track.
- Kar Wei (4/5): Not going to stay there again - Room was run down and there were mosquitoes. Aircon was noisy and good luck trying to adjust the temperature.
- Karen (6/5): Great Location - The best thing about this hotel is the location, very close to many restaurants and (night market on Fri-Sunday nights). Also close to shopping mall & MRT- train station, 5 min. walk. The train is awesome. It's clean and takes you everywhere you want to go in Singapore. The only complaint about the room was the bathroom. It's the-everything's-going-to-be-wet-when-you-shower kind. Also, the tiny, tiny sink which we could access only half of it. If you just need a place to sleep that's not a hostel, this place will do fine. We were out all day so this hotel met our needs. It also has a free toast, coffee, and cup noodle breakfast.
- Stephanie (8/5): - The location of this property was wonderful. To be able to stay right in the city center for this price was a great value. Overall, the hotel was fairly clean, however we had ants in our room. The rooms were extremely small, but again, good value for the price. The staff was not friendly or welcoming, and made us feel a bit uncomfortable during time spent in the lobby (breakfast, check in and out, etc)
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room is too small
- WILLIAM (8/5): Good for short stay - Hotel room is very small but very clean and comfortable. Suitable for my short stay before I checked out to run the Marathon.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Dinastiawati Dwi (8/5): - good
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location, staff hotel was quite helpfull, but the room was very small and the bed was not too comfortable. Breakfast was just so so.
- Bonny (2/5): - All rooms had bugs nothing was changed in terms of bed sheets and garbage. They did not even try to compensate us for the issue. I had to call Expedia and argue before I got things moving.
- Ed (6/5): Compact and Spartan - I wasn't expecting a lot, so I wasn't disappointed. I booked a basic room (Queen, I think) and was shown into a windowless room with a/c, bed and basic shower facilities. Some gripes I have:
1) The vanity shelf was mere inches above the sink - meaning that I couldn't use the tap properly and could hardly see what I was doing, standing above the sink.
2) The ventilation fan in the toilet wasn't working... Imagine how the room smelled after we took a dump... :(
3) Served breakfast comprising honey, cornflakes and toast. In this, I have to say: At least have the decency to provide coffee and tea for your guests, rather than leaving out teabags and instant coffee for them to serve themselves...!
4) Toilet again: A lot of flies flew from the shower drain when we stepped into the toilet. Boiled water in the kettle and poured it down. Future guests, take note.
Summary: Use the room for sleeping only. There is excellent food around the area, so I suggest you ditch the hotel breakfast and go exploring. And to the staff and owners of the hotel: I know you need to keep costs low, but could you at least keep things properly maintained? A quick general maintenance of vents, fans, etc. goes a long way sometimes.
- Charlotte (6/5): Sounds can hear clearly - The noised can hear so clearly that made by our neighbours. Besides, toilet got flies.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - too small room as others would say but the bed is ok. the location is very convenient.
- Allan (6/5): Does the job. - I only needed a place too shower and sleep, so this did the job. Place is very dated and maybe a little over charged for what it has to offer. They did have a good Wi-Fi internet access in the room, which is always a plus. The staff were great.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location. Staff friendly and helpful. Taxis had trouble finding it as postcode indicated location as a 5 star hotel just down the road.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Sweet place to stay for a short trip to Singapor - Awesome place to stay for a short trip. If only the choice of breakfast varies by day. Above all, OK.
- jeyaraj (4/5): Poor service - Service overall avarage break fast not appetizing tv channel not clear
- Leland (4/5): Basically a private-room hostel - Stayed one night, 15/02/18. Fantastic if you prefer hostels. Wasn't expecting much, knowing how expensive Singapore is, but given the neighbourhood and proximity to waterfront area we stayed one night at the Amaris. Excellent location and access to MRT. Room was VERY small with two beds and window too high up to see out of. Bathroom was okay, but disturbing to see so many long, black hairs in the room (actually we saw that a lot at other hotels too. Maybe housekeepers could wear hairnets?) Wifi was inconsistent (better in breakfast room/lobby). Breakfast just coffee and bread and instant noodles but lots of food options available out the door. Staff were okay but no one really was enthusiastic or went "above and beyond" their duties. We moved to another hotel near Chinatown for our second night in Singapore.
- Jess (4/5): - I would have preferred if the hotel was cleaner as the rooms were not as advertised and was not well-kept
- Jess (6/5): - Cleanliness of the property and the rooms can be improved
- Diana (6/5): - The hotel does not reflect it's star rating at all.
- July (8/5): Small room but friendly staff - The room is just too small. For a one day transit is fine but not for long stay. Check in and check out very fast process. Staff are super friendly. Light or quick breakfast is provided by the hotel.
- Sherly (8/5): Ok - Ok for budget hotel...
- ignatius (4/5): room to small - room to small, and not friendly staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We have stayed here for 5 nights and everything was very good and the breakfast was average.
- Teck Wei (6/5): Experience - Room was very dirty. Low price. Breakfast only bread and cereal. Postal code address was wrongly reflected I. Booking advertisement hence wasted some time to find the way.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - room are small.
No shower door, water spill all over.
Bath towers are old, need to change.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Stay away - The sheets were dirty - Underneath the covers there was hair everywhere. I informed the staff & nothing was done. The walls are not soundproof at all. I was here for 1 night only. Do not recommend this hotel at all. The rooms are super tiny & dirty. Don't be fooled by the 'breakfast' it consists of toast and coffee only. Horrible experience.
- Jennifer (8/5): - breakfast choices are very limited
- Nur Amaliah Judantoro (8/5): good location - near public transportation (bus, mrt) n mall
- Sothy (10/5): - the room is good , but the hotel is far from train station .
- S MANONMANI (2/5): - I had a very bad experience with this hotel. I asked for water and they didnt send it the whole day. There were small insects in the room which run in the tables. No wardrobe and no place to even place the clothes. This is the worst hotel i have ever visited and will never again visit again.
- Ian (2/5): What a Terrible Hotel - This is a dreadful hotel.
The rooms are incredibly tiny. Three walls touch the bed, with a small corridor up one side. The "desk" is actually a ledge barely large enough for a laptop, and already covered in the (completely unattached) hotel safe and grubby kettle.
Some of the low-lights of my stay:
1. The rim on the underside of the toilet seat was covered by what appeared to be faeces from a previous guest.
2. The towels I was given were incredibly old, with one having a hole in it.
3. There were ants all the "desk" (such as it was) in my room.
4. There was no hairdrier in the room! There was no iron or ironing board.
5. The main page says "Credit card or cash deposit required". That's reasonable: most hotels require this. However, it's not correct. They only take cash. What sort of hotel can't do a credit card for this deposit?
6. They require a $50 cash deposit, which is for the hotel room card. Yes, if you lose the hotel room card, then they charge you $50 (!!!) to replace it.
7. I cannot understate just how tiny these rooms are. This is rather hidden by the photos of the establishment in the main profile page.
Yes, this hotel is inexpensive for Singapore. But this is something I'd expect to see in a third world country, not in Singapore.
I'd strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
- Irene (2/5): Never ever come back! - The bedsheet n the towel were dirty, the tea spoon was not washed when we just checked in
- Verified traveler (4/5): manky as hell - central location, reasonable price, but room was disgusting. unknown splatter stains on the walls, stains on the sheets. place could use a scrub.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Accessible to the city - Room was very small but it is good if you are on a budget and wanted to see Singapore as it is within the city. Just don't bring luggages coz they won't fit in the room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing - Room had not been cleaned properly....even the coffee cups still had coffee "dribbles" on them from previous tenants. We could only get TV reception on 2 channels. The room was too small and no hooks to hang towels etc. Breakfast was very limited...just toast and 1 type of cereal (no choice), and no fruit juice. Hotel is starting to show wear and tear.
- Richard (6/5): Good central location - The rooms are small, but that was okay for me as I was on my own.
- KoziB (4/5): Front desk was non-caring and inconsiderate. - Poor a/c, tv. Not informed about anything about our accomodations and one room key that operated the power and elevator! If one left with key to use elevator, the power to room automatically turned off....rude lesson! Overly priced because of location only!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Tiny Rooms in Excellent Location - The Room is so tiny that 2 people cannot stay there. Its claustrophobic.
Location & Service are excellent.
- Alli (6/5): - It was a good location close to a mall, restaurants, and the subway. Just a small place good for lone travel!
- Yuri (10/5): Two thumbs up! - Very pleasant. Service great. I can put my luggage there while i went sightseeing after checkout. Location very strategic and very sought after. Two thumbs up! Will stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good stayyy - Good stay, perfect location for shopping and eating. Easy to get around. Very close to bus stop and mrt. Amazing room service. The staff was extremely sweet and approachable. Would love to stay there in my next visit as well. Thank you amaris for making my stay pleasant :)
- Richard (6/5): It's Singapore, nothing is cheap - Accomodation in SE Asia is cheap but not Singapore. If you want a window, you have to pay. If you want to stay in a hotel in Singapore to a similar standard as Europe, you will have to pay European prices. Good luck.
- Rodica (6/5): - Very nice and helpful staff, pretty small rooms, but good value for money, great location, basic breakfast. Stayed here twice and would happily go again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay - Great, the staff very responsive and kindly accommodate our needs
- Anuradha (4/5): Bad hotel with good staff - Overall I was not happy at your hotel. I could not have a comfortable sleep due to the cold air from AC. Room is very small and did not have any space for luggage. But I must mention that your reception staff made whatever possible to make me happy and they are an asset to your hotel.
- Daniell Vern (6/5): comfortable stay with some disturbance - Room was ok except there was a large group that also checked in and are inconsiderate with their talking and laughing especially at night or in the early mornings that disturb the other sleeping guest since they stay along the hallway.
Aside from that our stay was ok overall.
- leenz (6/5): Good location - Good location near MRT with 7 minutes walk and very close to Bugis Junction and Bugis Street.
- Alan (6/5): Great location and free breakfast - Location is very good, right next to bugis junction. Comes with free breakfast, including pastries, cereal, juice and noodles. Room wasn't too clean, but overall good value for money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was an excellent hotel ... the location is excellent & the overall experience was wonderful I would recommend it for ALL travelers
- Jefferi (6/5): Value for money - Near to Bugis Metro and near to Bugis Junction Market & Mall and Arab Street.
We were only staying overnight. Small Hotel but reasonably priced and clean.
What's best from this hotel is the fast and free WiFi
Very poor breakfast just toast and cereals with milk. there is a construction on the side so it is quite noisy
- kathleen (2/5): - hotel location was handy to mrt and bus at door. walk to bugis shopping malls . rooms very small, no fridge, no drawers to unpack clothes, had to live out of case, bed was against wall and very firm bed, dining room was at desk at entrance, not enough seats, one cerial choice every day breakfast, would not stay here again,
- Paul (6/5): Hotel experience - Quiet new budget hotel, cleanliness is just OK but improvement needed. The hotel lacks 24 hour shift staff to cater for your complains. 1st day, they gave me a room with noisy air-con,entrance door light flashing and bed light not working. Requested for fix up. They told me hotel technician gone home as it was around 4.30 pm. We were switched to another room after finding we are staying for 4 nights.Grateful that they have given us a bigger room & bathroom.2nd day, they didn’t clean our room. They told us that we have switch on ‘Do Not Disturb’ notice. However, we did put on ‘Clean Our Room’ notice before going out. Again they told us the hotel cleaner already gone back as it was 5 pm and can only do it the next day. Only replaced the towels.
3rd day, we ask for additional shower gel & toilet paper. They only managed to give toilet roll & same excuse that cleaner has gone home. Can only refill shower gel the next day.
4th day, everything was OK. Shower and shampoo filled up.Room include wifi, TV channels, kettle, 2 bottles water, coffee/tea/creamer/sugar. Singapore Strait Times (2 sets) available on the reception area. You get permission to bring back to your room to read return it after done.
Breakfast is same everyday-bread with butter/honey/jam,pandan cake & cup noodles. Cake & cup noodles are limited & so don’t be late. Coffee, water & orange drink (cordial) available. OK for the start of the day as many eateries are nearby.
- laura (6/5): good stay - great, room small but clean and free wifi, breakfast enough for the price, air con and bathroom was good. tv channel not much channel to watch but its ok. location very closed to bugis junction, only about 5 minute walk. and situation is surrounding by good environment.
- PHATPHICHA (8/5): Affordable at good location - Cheap hotel at a premium location. Near to bugis area.
- Jason (2/5): THE FAWLTY TOWERS OF SINGAPORE -AVOID THIS HOTEL ! - We arrived and stood waiting for almost 1/2 hour as no staff could be found. When they materialised they claimed it was shift change and they had only been gone 3 minutes. I told them the fellow in the lobby had told us they were gone for 15 minutes before he left and then another 10. They were surely and clearly guests at the hotel interfere with the social lives
I can only suggest if you stay here that you make sure you check in before 10 pm as the evening shift are surely, unreliable and to call them useless would be a compliment
The room is small, I would say the room is bigger in the picture on hotels.com then it real life (yes an I am joking but you get the picture)
The buffet breakfast was bread, fruit punch, and cereal. So if you want a decent breakfast walk over 2 streets to any of the local restaurants. As this would hardly feed a pidgeon!
The location is good, but lots of others within 100 feet which are better so I would NOT recommend anyone stay at this hotel
I can say that somewhere in Singapore maybe a worse but I haven't found it yet -thankfully
All in all I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone and if I could rate it a zero I would
- Ian (4/5): You Get What You Pay For - Firstly, to be fair, this is a low cost hotel. And generally, the room was comfortable and acceptably clean.
But...
The rooms are INCREDIBLY small. I've been in Japanese hotel rooms which would make these rooms look huge. The bed is hemmed by walls on three side, and a narrow corridor on the fourth. I suspect my wife would have claustrophobia challenges in this hotel.
Secondly, the rooms have no sound proofing which I could discern. If you are a light sleeper, or are bothered by nearby noise, this is NOT the hotel for you. I could clearly hear the people in the next door room, doors slammed all night, and there was even a crying baby.
Also, not clearly disclosed was that they required a SGD$50 deposit for the key card, IN CASH. They did not accept credit card. Luckily I had the cash on me, but that was pure chance. What hotel can't take credit cards? This one.
The breakfast was included, but it was incredibly basic. One serial, toast, instant coffee. Again, it's a cheap hotel and it was useful to have something before heading out. But if you expect anything more than absolute basic, you'll be disappointed. The staff weren't unhelpful, but rather disinterested.
On the plus side, the WiFi was quite good.
So a mixed bag. It's inexpensive, comfortable and clean with good Internet. The breakfast is basic, but you're paying for basic. On the downside, it's noisy and don't forget to have cash.
- Dady (8/5): The wonderful nights at Amaris - This is great to stay in this hotel. It's very enough for budget hotel. However, you need to deposit S$50 for keycard, its refundable.
The important thing that you need to consider is, this place is located in Bugis area, its easy to find food court or place to shopps.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice and recommended budget hotel - Recommended hotel
- Mikhail (4/5): B&B hotel. MAX 1 night stay. 50SGD deposit require - Really b&b. One night stay. Room is extremely small. Poor breakfast. Location is the only advantage. Require 50SGD deposit for room key-card! I don't really need Singapore money when I leave
- Verified traveler (2/5): Great location but poor cleaniness - A serious smell in lobby and corridor, luckily not in the room. But stains found on pillow bag and bed sheets, ants and flies everywhere in the room, especially in toilet. Room is tiny, as expected. Noise isolation is poor, I could hear every word of next door and banging door and yelling of next door every night, especially on Friday night when next door was obviously having a late party.
Only good thing is the location, close to 7-11, bus station, MRT station and Bugis Junction. Easily walk to tourist spots and good food as well.
- hendrik (4/5): Small and compact - No hot water, nobody help if u bring more than 2 luggage. Small and compact.
- Sameer (6/5): Centrally Located hotel with small rooms - The hotel is quite centrally located in Singapore city. Hardly a KM from Bugis station from where you can take Metro Train into Central City (2 stops-5mins) or to Airport (35mins). There are a few bus stands nearby from where you can take buses as well to various parts of Singapore.
It is also located quite near to the Bugis Junction and Bugis Street (famous for shopping). There is Arab Street and Bali lane near by which has a lot dinning and drinking spots.
You can easily go to Funan Digital Mall (for electronic shopping).
But the hotel rooms are really small and quite congested. I have stayed in other Amaris Hotels across ASEAN and this one was wrost (infact pretty bad when compared with the facilities and service at other Amaris or Santika hotels).
The frontdesk staff was a little less courteous and looked less interested in serving/helping customers. The breakfast buffet is nothing sort of a buffet all you have is bread, orange juice fountain and corn flakes.
I had earlier stayed at a few other hotels is Park View etc which is around the same price and in the same locality.
The speed of the free wifi provided by them was decent (which is not a surprise in Singapore).
No room service/restaurant in the hotel itself but Bugis area has a lot of eateries.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Stay - Worst hotel I ever stayed
- Letitia (4/5): Good location - A great location, handy to the MRT, a seven 11, as well as other shops. The staff were friendly, lending us a pen and printing some tickets for us for free. The room was ok. The air con worked well and we definitely appreciated it. The linen was clean but looked like it had a cigarette burn or similar on it. The bathroom had poor ventilation as it was mouldy and had some small bugs flying around. We never at breakfast as it was bread that did not look good, for toast and powdered orange juice.
- Sharon Wong (4/5): Comfort Room & Close to Bugis Shopping Area - Room rate is too much overpriced. Room is very small than expected. Breakfast is very disappointing, only bread, oat and chocolate roll provided. The only good thing about this hotel is its location. 8 mins walking distance to Bugis Street & Bugis Junction. Please choose other hotel if you have more budget.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pleasant and affordable.
Easy check in and check out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room is nice and sweet and cute and quite clean. But. Way way too small. Even the bed is small.
- Wayne (6/5): Little house on the prairie - Very small room, no space for luggage.
But price was good, bathroom was OK, generally clean, came with small breakfast and in good location.
- Deborah (6/5): Stay at Amaris - Good clean simple and convenient
- sftigre (6/5): Good Value - The room was small and I had to put my luggage on part of the bed. Otherwise, the room was neat and clean. Very convenient location.
- Ma Cristina R (6/5): Average hotel in good location - Booked two rooms from May 31 to June 4.Rooms are small.Good for 2 persons only which was uncomfortable for our 7 yr old nephew.Location is nice.Walking distance to Bugis Junction(mall) and MRT.Room services - no bell boy to help us with our luggages.Dirt under the bed.Breakfast -bread,cereals ,coffee, noodles
- sftigre (6/5): Fine Hotel - Room was small, but ok for short stay. Location was very good. Price very reasonable compared to other hotels with the same quality. If you have lots of luggage a bigger room would be more adequate.
- karen (6/5): Great Location. Decent rooms. - Don't expect too much. You get what you paid for!
The rooms are tiny and basic but suitable for me since I was a solo-traveller. It's relatively clean. Beds are decent... Not the most comfortable but adequate. There was always hot water but the shower pressure could have been improved.
Breakfast is basic but I didn't even bother since there were so many nearby options (Bugis Junction / Albert Centre hawker centre)
If you want a basic no frill place to crash the night, this is suitable. The location is great as it's central and close to multiple MRT lines.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Young and responsive staff. - Location close to blue line of subway. Some staff wonderful, some less than wonderful. Room cute. With the bargain price, for Singapore, something has to give and its the size of the room. I still made it work. AC great, doesn't blow on you, and I don't like AC much. One staff member was so sweet and did so many special favors for me like microwaving and putting my food in their fridge.
- Sally (8/5): Convenient - Very convenient hotel, nearby shopping malls and transportation. However, the toilet and bed were not cleaned so well as we found hairs around the toilet bowl and fake eyelashes on the bed. But overall, comfy and good for the price we paid.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 3 Night stay - Hotel was nice, clean, rooms a little small but still good as we really only used it to sleep as we went out exploring during the day! There wasn't any noise, but did hear the guy in the next room coughing. Standard breakfast in morning toast / noodles / muffins, would have been nice to have something a little more filling and hot etc bacon and eggs.
- Dion Sok Nam (4/5): Yes, indeed a 2.5 star motel. - Should have a proper desk to study or for own computer.
In fact a safe was there which somehow did not work.
Please improve the quality of the shampoo & shower gel.
- Dom (4/5): Very average - TV had 1 channel, room was noisy due to traffic. AC wouldn't switch off and rooms are tiny. In fairness the room was cheap and it was clean-ish. Ive stayed in worse places. Breakfast was literally toast and coffe / tea and that's it. Free internet - woohoo
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good for just sleep and rest - We just stayed there for one night before we check-in another hotel in Bugis area. The price is relatively reasonable given its location. The room is small and has no window. Everything is just basic. It is a good option if you are looking for budget stay in Bugis.
- Andrew Ka Yun (8/5): Convenient location - Very convenient location .. Bugis conjunction mall is just a 5 mins walk away
- John (10/5): 5 star budget hotel - This hotel is great, very clean and modern for a budget hotel. Staff was great i will for sure stay here again. I have read some reviews that people complain about size of room. People must remember this is a budget hotel and not a $700 a night hotel. Best deal in Singapore !!
- Steph (8/5): Ideal if you just want somewhere to sleep - Basic but clean hotel ideally located if you want to be near to everything. Easy access to everything we needed (public transport, tourist buses and info, F1 race track (which was the main reason for our visit) and sightseeing).
Bedrooms are rather small but air conditioned (which is a must... it's was very hot and humid when we were in Singapore!) and fine if you just want somewhere to sleep. Wardrobe was tiny for 2 travelling females! Small bathroom too but had everything we needed.
Breakfast (questionable!) was toast, cereal (one type) or noodles (if you like to eat those for breakfast). We chose to go elsewhere for breakfast.
I guess the price reflects the above but ideal if travelling on a budget and not expecting the Ritz for the cost of a typical budget hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Small rooms, nice staff, no king beds - Pros: friendly staff, cute lobby with continental breakfast, reasonable rate for Singapore CBD, complimentary slippers, toothbrush/toothpaste, and bottled water; in-room air conditioner cools the room very quickly.
Cons: Our room was tiny, there were no windows, and there were little bugs crawling around the shower (I think they were harmless)
I wouldn't stay here if you're looking for a nice place, but if you want someplace where you can shower and sleep for one night, it's okay. My guess is that Singapore is not that cheap to stay in (coming form Canada) so that's as good as it gets at that price point.
Expedia advertises a king bed but there are no king beds in the hotel! I'm still waiting for Expedia to respond to my complaint. I booked the room because of the king bed, and it turns out they only carry queens.
- Ricardo (2/5): Horrible Hotel - This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my world travels, even booking with hotels.com I was very dissatisfied and would never return to hotels.com for reservations ever again. The hotel room was very small, bathroom glass door had lots of stains cieling had holes, mold on ceiling, no ice machine or ice buckets for the room. it was horrible. The breakfast the employee touching the bread with there natural hands, it was a sight to see. the lobby floor had stains on it, know tourist information other than a map of the area with some activities. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, in my world travels and I do travel. No iron and ironing board in the rooms etc
- Tony (6/5): Easy access hotel in the near the middle of city - Quick check in. Quick check out. No fuss.
Hot shower was good. Room's small but clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice place close to Bugis - We stayed at this place with 2 kids. Expected king size bed as advertised but they only have queen size beds in this hotel. This is obviously a typo and hopefully will be corrected.
Overall stay was good and close to shopping at Bugis Junction. Make you have directions for taxis because this place is still fairly new to them.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Minimal hotel. - Minimal hotel. Minimal service. Minimal breakfast.
- David (8/5): Extremely small room, good location - Before staying here, I'd heard about tiny Japanese apts/hotels... this was my first experience in one. The bed takes up 90% of the floor space.
The location is excellent, a 5 minute walk from the Bugis stop. Bugis is a pretty cool neighborhood.
Breakfast is a little weak.
For the money, it's worth it for a short stay of one or two nights.
- Mari (6/5): - Good location. Small room - which is the norm for Singapore. My room didn't have a window (only one room each floor is windowless, so luck of the draw really). Generally a comfortable stay, however wouldn't say it was value for money. Can be noisy when people walking in the small hallways and when guests let the heavy doors slam close. Breakfast is a snack...
- hermann (4/5): small and tiny room - a very small room hotel. its hard for you to move inside the room if its staying 2 person.
you can hear the noise from outside your room.
nothing special breakfast
just few steps to bus stop.
10 mins walk to bugis junction
- smiley (4/5): Close to bugis station - Good location to get around. Very small lift though
- Chen (6/5): Small rooms, relatively new - Rooms are small but comfortable. Facilities are all fine and pretty new. Excellent location which was minutes away from Bugis MRT and the shopping malls. Nevertheless we were not too happy about the lack of hair dryer in the room. The night shift staff failed to get us one even we requested a few times (day shift staff was polite and helpful though)
- margaret (6/5): Bed so small, not a double, suitable for a midget - Room very tiny, shower small, sink in room as no room in bathroom. Bed not full length, had to sleep with bended knees as the end of the bed was the outside wall. A king sized single not a double
- JenniferRose501 (8/5): Good location for a short stay - The rooms are as you would expect, small but functional. Everything worked and I would definitely stay here again for a short stop over in Singapore.
- Sasebo Traveler (6/5): Great Location, Poor Condition - Hotel is in a great location near a lot of places to eat. Also very close to the SunTec Center for conventions. Hotel WiFi does not work in rooms, only lobby. Elevator is small and also stops working at times. Daily breakfast is chocolate corn flakes, toast and jam and coffee or tea. Beds are pretty hard and rooms are very small.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location to Suntec Conventino Center - Room does not have windows and air condition does not turn off. I am not sure whether these are the problems of the room I stayed or all the rooms are the same.
However, it was very clean and the continental breakfast was nice for budget travelers. All the best, the location was excellent..close to subway stations, Suntec convention center and mall, and to Marina Bay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location - Great location but the room & bathroom are too small. Can only fit 1 person..
