• Sadie (10/5): Despina also Mare Paros - So glad we picked to stay at Despina Mare it really is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed. Despina herself was so helpful and arranged accommodation and taxis for us when we had to arrive a day early due to ferry strikes from Athens. The homemade cakes and pastries left in our room were the perfect added extra. The resort itself is beautiful and you are less than 5 minutes walk from the bars and restaurants. All in all we had a wonderful holiday in beautiful Paros and would thoroughly recommend staying here.

• BEATA (10/5): - What a hidden gem Despina's Mare is! My husband and I both loved it from the moment we arrived. The owner's daughter was incredibly kind and helpful. The property is very clean and safe; they clean the rooms daily. There's an ATV rental a couple of blocks away, which is a must in Paros! The beach is a 5-minute walk away and if you're adventurous enough, there's one closer by the rocks. The town is also a 5-minute walk away with the property being far enough from the nightlife, but close enough to shopping, dining etc. They arranged transportation for us before arrival, so we had a taxi waiting for us at the port. Our balcony overlooked the sea and we very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it! Oh, and don't forget to grab a candy from the front office:).

The rooms were new, clean, bright and had everything you needed, including a small fridge and nespresso machine. We had the double time with balcony, which was a wonderful place for a morning coffee. The walk to the tourist area of town was through a charming alleyway and walk along the shoreline. There was ample parking nearby. If you are looking for a beautiful, wonderfully run property run by a local, this is your place. It has a beautiful courtyard filled with the most wonderful flowering plants, including the most fragrant jasmine right outside our door. I would return here in a heartbeat.

• Wiliam (10/5): Beautiful room with sunset & ocean view - We were so impressed with our stay at Despina’s! Despina was kind enough to let us check in early when our ferry arrived. Our room had a good size patio with an amazing ocean and sunset view! The shower and water pressure was the best we have had on our trip. The bed was very comfortable. Despina personally made recommendations of places to visit on the island. The daily housekeeping was greatly appreciated. And they were kind enough to even do some laundry for us. The staff were very kind. The room is centrally located and made it easy to walk everywhere. There was also convenient parking right in front of the hotel. We appreciated having an A/C unit at night. We would love to stay here again in the future.
• Bhreagh (8/5): - Enjoyed our stay at Despina’s Mare. The location was fabulous, close to downtown Naoussa and the beach. The room was clean and functional. Our only note is that the AC did not work very well so we had some trouble sleeping (keeping in mind it was quite hot outside while we were there). All in all, a nice stay but something to be mindful of for temperature sensitive individuals :)

• John (10/5): Amazing stay, thank you Despina! - We were blown away by Despina’s Mare, it’s located on the edge of the old town which is perfect because you can easily come and go if you have a car, and park in the private park right out the front (free of charge). Only a 200m walk and you are in the heart of the old town with amazing sunsets, restaurants, cafes, lounge bars etc yet the street is extremely quite with views/partial views of the sea. There is a nice beach at the end of the street also. The rooms were well appointed and the beds very comfortable which made for a perfect nights sleep. Despina has made a great effort to keep the accommodation updated and fresh, it looked almost brand new and has high quality finishes. The breakfast was very good, and Despina and her son were very helpful, friendly and sweet. They went out of their way to greet us every morning and to make our stay special. If you are wondering where to stay on the island we would not stay anywhere else, if not only for the incredible hospitality, it’s a perfect base to go out and explore and then come back to in the evenings with plenty of options for entertainment and dining in the evenings yet still in a very quite and relaxing area. Une vrai pepite et un petit balcon avec vue sur la mer parfait pour le réveil ou lapero. ce séjour a été l'un des meilleurs et également parce que Despina et son fils, sont adorables et très accueillant ! N hésitez sûrement pas!

• Nicole (10/5): great find - It was our first time in Naoussa and I didn't know what to expect. I was surprised to find the village so busy! Therefore it was amazing to stay 5 mins by foot from the action. The room with sea view was amazing, basic but very stylish and modern bathroom. Breakfast ist amazing (with changing dishes every day). The host family is the best part, you do feel like you are part of the family. Also, a nice beach is 5 min by foot away. Love, love, loved it!
• Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a very welcoming guest house. The rooms are spacious, bright, comfortable and sparkling clean. We loved the private patio off of our room. The owner is very helpful and attentive. The morning breakfast had lots of variety and was absolutely delicious with a lovely patio to enjoy it. The location was an easy walk to restaurants and shops. We are so happy we made the choice to stay here during our time in Paros and have no hesitation recommending it to others.
• Aspen (10/5): - Despina's is a dream. From the moment I arrived I knew I was in a special place. The room was beautiful and clean, so light and airy, the balcony looked onto the ocean, the breakfast was AMAZING, location was close to the Naousa shops and Despina was a lovely host. Despina checked in with me personally each morning and made sure I had what I needed. If I go back to Paros it will be purely for the pleasure of staying with Despina again.
• Peter (10/5): - Stunning little gem close to the action in Naoussa. It is a quaint and beautiful little place ran by Despina whom is present at all times. She is so sweet and caring. • Jimmy (10/5): Despina's Mare Jewel in the Aegean - Despina's Mare, was a great place to stay at in Greece. Despina, made us welcomed from the beginning till our last day on Paros. She and her staff were outstanding, and at no time were we every disappointed, in fact we were impressed, and would stay at Desina's anytime. We would also recommend her hotel to anyone.

We had breakfast with a view on the sea every morning, which made it the best way to start the day. Overall, our stay at Despina's was great, and I would highly recommend it. The only minor flaw we identified was that the cups in the room were still dirty from the previous guests.

• James (10/5): Perfect stay - From the moment we arrived we knew it was going to be very good. Very warm welcome with cake and orange juice, lovely spacious room (upgrade) and cool, plant filled inner courtyard where an excellent breakfast was served. Despina was a wonderful host who even drove us back to the bus station at the end of our stay.
• Michelle (10/5): Lovely stay. - We had a lovely three night stay at Despina's. We were warmly greeted with orange juice and cakes. Our room had the most spectacular view! Our room (although very basic) was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed. The location was very close to the main part of town (4 mins) but far enough away so the noise doesn't travel. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast available at the hotel since we prefer a single coffee and pastry (which you can find in the main port area for about 5 euro). The breakfast did look lovely and many other guests took advantage. I do have to mention however, that the hotel is more similar to a large home. Sound can travel quite easily throughout the property so if you have noisier guests, you will hear them. We rarely slept in because of the morning noise. This of course will depend on the other guests and your room location. Most guests at this property are of a similar mindset: quiet, laid back vacationer. We had some great conversations on our patio with our neighbours.

• Efstathios (8/5): Perfect location for Naousa. - Excellent hotel! Despoina is an amazing host. She even baked a cake for us. The location is just 5 minutes walk from the centre of the beautiful village. Totally recommended.

• Donna (8/5): great rooms, well located and friendly owners - Despina and her daughter went out of their way to look after me. They even came and collected me when the bus dropped me off at the wrong stop. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with fridge, air con, TV, nice new bathroom. They have good wifi. I had a room with balcony and partial sea views which was lovely. The location is excellent, just five minutes walk into town and you feel very safe. It's easy to catch the bus or hire a car to get around. The breakfast is huge and very tasty. Serioulsy they treat you like family. I'd definitley stay again.
• gill (10/5): they made their home feel like yours. - Its very close to the beach and a short stroll to the lovely white washed village with lots of tavernas and shops.. probably one of the nicest hotels around with a lovely courtyard in the entrance where they serve you the best breakfast with home made cake and fresh fruit. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again
