• Mathieu (8/5): - Hôtel très confortable et les quelques longueurs de piscine nous on fait beaucoup de bien après une journée de trail. Faisable sans voiture si, par exemple, vous partez le lendemain : comptez 15 minutes à pieds pour vous rendre en ville, 10 minutes max pour être dans l’aéroport.

• FREDERIC (10/5): - Bel hotel au haut d"une falaise avec piscine et chambre vue sur mer. Bon petit déjeuner. Bon restaurant pour y dîner. Le bon point pratique : hotel accessible à pied depuis l'aéroport (5 min) et pour autant pas du tout gêné par le bruit. Point faible : faut compter 20 minutes à pied pour rejoindre le centre ville où l'on peut retrouver des restaurants.

• Noam (8/5): Decent place to stay - The place is a bit old yet mostly renovated. The service was good, the room was good with a nice view, and there was a good breakfast. It lacks any character to make you feel you are on this unique island.
• Theo (10/5): Oceanview - Vriendelijke ontvangst, mooie kamer mer oceanview (absolute aanrader) met zicht op Corvo. Heerlijk ontbijt, verse jus d’orange, eitje, vers fruit, yoghurt. Aanrader is ook wel om diner (half board) te boeken. Na terugkeer van hike is t ook heerlijk om even een duik in t zwembad te nemen, ligbedden aanwezig. Ook twee piscinas naturais in directe nabijheid. Kortom, een heerlijk verblijf in dit hotel, aanrader!
• N (8/5): - Great location facing the ocean, not far from the little town but sadly it is in need of some repairs. Great breakfast options.
• liana (2/5): Dated and poor service - This hotel is tired. It’s need some serious renovations. Restaurant food is mediocre. However AC stopped working on the entire side of the hotel during our stay. We went from an ocean view with a balcony view to a city view with no balcony and zero compensation. It took almost two hours for them to move us to a new room.
• Cidalia (6/5): - Property was very nice, clean, decent restaurant, front desk staff was not helpful and not friendly. We didn’t book a tour in advance. She tried a couple of people but they were booked. However, there are other options in the area including boat tours which we would have loved and she didn’t bother to look anything up for us. Not very tourist friendly.

• Patricia (4/5): - Water damage on the walls, air conditioner does not allow you to go below 23C. Electrical fixture pulled out of wall and sitting on floor with cables exposed. Water damage on wood floors. Floors worn. Smell of mold. Visible mold in shower. Breakfast goes from 8-11 am, out of freshly sliced fruit by 9 am. Disappointed in hotel. This island is beautiful, this hotel was a disappointment. It was a beautiful location and if you have a water view amazing. It is just obvious that upkeep/update of the hotel is needed. Suggest eating at local restaurants which are wonderful.
• JUERG (2/5): - das ganze Hotel fällt auseinander überall Rost, zu wenig Frühstück wenn man etwas später kommt wird nicht mehr nachgefüllt. eine Person alleine muss den Frühstückstisch bestücken und nachfüllen. Alles viel zu teuer

• STEFANO (4/5): Molto da migliorare - L'hotel è vecchio e mal manutentato. Ho ricevuto la stanza per invalidi, poco male, ci si adegua, peccato che all'arrivo il bagno era sporco (pieno di capelli) e che ho dovuto far pulire di nuovo. Il problema di avere la doccia aperta è che si bagna con la doccia l'intero bagno.. Internet è pessimo! 1-2mb per intederci, fuori nelle zone comuni si arriva a 3-4mb. Capisco che siamo in mezzo all'oceano ma siccome altre strutture in zona (e anche nella piccola isola di Corvo ho trovato 150mb significa che è un problema loro. La colazione è abbastanza scadente e se, come che sono italiano vuoi un espresso (e non il nescafè che non è caffè) lo devi richiedere al bar a pagamento extra. 2 Note positive: Camera con vista oceano e sull'isola di Corvo e lo staff abbastanza cordiale

• Michelle (8/5): - This hotel was nice, though showing its age in places. The proximity to the natural pools and airport were great. Since the town is pretty small, you could walk to a lot of places from the hotel.

• Hilary (8/5): - Good place to stay in Santa Cruz - more stylish and classy than the pictures show. Beautiful view (sea view-side) and quiet, except for astonishing bird calls at night (Cory's Sheerwaters). Seaview well worth it, but there are pleasant lounges and balcony to get the view as well. Food is good quality, but the half-board is so limited in starters (soup of the day) and sweets (ice-cream, fruit or sweet of the day, which did not change daily) and saves so little money (and none at all if you have many of the main courses), that it is not worth having. Breakfast has a reasonable range, but less so as it declined while we were there. The freshly squeezed orange juice, variety of fresh fruits and yoghurt all disappeared. Some days delays for food due to incredible understaffing: a single person at breakfast and at dinner some days.

• Deborah (10/5): - The staff is wonderful and the views are amazing. The restaurant had many tasty options, fresh food with great wines and the service was friendly, patient and helpful. It was great to have the large upstairs living room available to hang out when our newly met cousins came to visit. The rooms are very comfy and the mini fridge got nice and cold and the balcony over looking the shore was my favorite place to kick back especially after dark when the cagarros start their weird calls among the sounds of the waves. My great great grandfather once owned the property and the hotel fit in very well in the surrounding landscape. The pool overlooking the seascape was a treat. My family and I will definitely be going back.

• Annie (6/5): Flores Island 2 nights - We arrived the hotel at around 2:30pm, after having traveled on 3 flights from San Francisco to Flores transiting in Newark and Ponta Delgada. We were told that our room was not ready so we left our luggage in the luggage room and went out for a walk around town for almost 2 hours. We went back to the hotel shortly after 4pm and were told that our room was still not ready! We were exhausted but we didn’t get our room until after 5pm, which is an hour after the official Checkin time. The woman who checked us in earlier when we first arrived was somewhat rude and didn’t even apologize for telling us our room would be ready by 4pm when it did not. Next morning when we went to the reception desk to ask for 2 more small bottle water (there were 2 in the room when we checked in) since we were staying 2 nights, and she just told us in a cold voice that you would only get 2 small bottles upon Checkin and for the rest of the nights we would need to purchase the water from the bar. That is poor guest service, especially when we had to wait for our room past Checkin time the previous day. They gave us a handicapped room which was a bit awkward for us since the toilet is slightly higher than usual. The restaurant’s food was good but our impression of the hotel was tainted by our Checkin experience and that female receptionist until the day when we checked out. The male receptionist was a lot friendlier and helpful so that had prompted me to give an OK rather than a poor rating.

• Weihong (10/5): 4 stars on Flores - All seaview facing rooms. The window pane on one of the balcony doors rattled from the wind so we switched rooms. The only 4 star on Flores.

• Dirk (10/5): 4 Sterne Hotel mit Topaussicht. - Bestes Hotel auf Flores. Guter Standard. Schöne Küstensicht vom Balkon. Frühstück war wenig Auswahl aber auf Grund der geringen Belegung in der Nebensaison verständlich. WLAN gut.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Liegt direkt an der Atlantik Küste, ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten. Das Frühstück war ok, alles da was man braucht, wenn auch das Obst nicht ganz frisch war. Sehr schöner Atlantikpool unterhalb vom Hotel, Preis-Leistung war ganz ok!

Da migliorare il ristorante sia per la cena che per la colazione, a livello di assortimento e qualità ma anche del servizio, svogliato e lento. Bella la vista dalle camere e il confort. Sarebbe auspicabile la sintonizzazione di più canali televisivi di varie nazionalità compresi quelli italiani

• Verified traveler (6/5): Schöner Ausblick aufs Meer und die Insel Corvo - Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen und wenn man ein Zimmer mit Meerblick hat ist es wirklich eine gute Unterkunft mit toller Aussicht! Zur Straße hinaus stelle ich es mit nicht so berauschend vor. Das Frühstück ist akzeptabel... der Kaffee könnte besser sein! Die Damen am Empfang sind freundlich und hilfsbereit! Leider war unser Balkon ständig komplett feucht, weil immer wieder Wasser vom Dach nach getropft ist.

• Audun Skrindo (10/5): Høy standard, smart plassering for ornitologer - Helt nytt og topp hotell, som har svært smart plassering for ornitologer, med nesten direkte tilgang til stedets beste fugleområde, Cabo da Praia. God og variert mat til frokost.
