Nice size rooms Not a fan of the TV setup but not really a big drama but there was a fair but of fluff and dirt around the floor of the bed which once again no big drama probably just been flicked out from under bed while mopping

• Amelia (7/5): Great value for short Sydney stays - Excellent value for a pub stay with a private bathroom in Sydney. Staff were super friendly and there’s even a kitchenette, fully stocked with breakfast basics, so guests can fill up before starting their day. Our room was advertised as having a fridge but there wasn’t one.

• Briony (8/5): Great stay near centre of Sydney - The rooms were well sized and had great AC. It’s only about a 10/15 minute walk from the centre which is great. We also ate in the pub underneath which had amazing food and the staff were really friendly. Unfortunately the shower did look like it had a bit of mould but it wasn’t too bad and I just wore my flip flops.

• Yu Tyng (7/5): Basic stay - Location was great. Super convenient to ICC and lightrail station. Very basic room, good for when you just need a place to stay at for a night or two. Water pressure was also great and air con cooled the room super quick. Very simple checkout process and they also bring your luggage down for you for storage/cloaking if you need to leave it for a few hours. Room and bathroom could use a bit of TLC but overall it was a very basic room. Didn't have a fridge in the room which was fine but would have been nice. They do have a communal fridge so I guess if you really need a fridge there is still access to one. No lift access is also a tad challenging so maybe not for people with heavy luggage or mobility issues. Did have a bit of expected noise at night time from the bar downstairs but if you're a night owl then it's not really an issue. It wasn't overly loud but definitely noticeable.
• Sonja (7/5): - Perfecte locatie, heel centraal, 15min te voet naar Sydney Centraal (treinstation). It's an old building, thus the bathroom etc are not super modern. In my room, one could clearly hear the traffic and the ticking (sound for blind people) of the traffic lights.

• Denis (3/5): Would work well for someone staying alone on a very tight budget. - Staff is nice and friendly, bed is clean, everything seemed clean really, just old/cheap, location is good, wifi is free and mostly works although unstable. Smoky in lobby/bar/pub, probably from the adjacent tab room, music past 1am loud enough to hear in the room, no way to make the room dark, noise from the street, A/C didn't cool the room at all on the highest setting, ceiling fan didn't work, hard to sleep. Room is old and fittings are cheap. Breakfast is just a cabinet with a kettle and a few basic things on it (unattended) in the hallway outside the room, without a place to return the dishes to. Took a long time to check in because of some kind of mixup with rooms. No one in the morning to check out with, no one answers phone until around 9am.
• Peter (5/5): Affordable and if it were not for the missed items would have been very happy for the money paid. - The accomodation is typical pub-stay, with upstairs room above pub itself. The bed was comfortable and the room was generally clean. The staff were super friendly when I asked for the rectification of the items that were missing from the room. There were no towels or soap in the room. The mini fridge had not been cleared with half a bottle of wine and half used milk carton left by the previous occupant.

• Janice (6/5): Disappointed - The room was large & spacious with a balcony overlooking a busy street. the noise from the street & the music from the underneath pub did not worry us. Conveniently located to the light rail stop. Smokey Mary Kitchen side of pub serving great BBQ food. The room facilities had not been cleaned with dirty coffee cups & plates. rubbish behind the microwave & crumbs from the toaster across the shelf. Requested & received shower curtain change first day (mouldy). 5 night stay & room was not serviced at all even though sign left on door. needs attention paid to refurbishing crockery & glasses to suit the 2 people occupying the room'. Not told nor shown the communal breakfast area.

• Rowan (4/5): - The location was good. As soon as we walked in, I counted 13 mosquitos on the ceiling, that doesn't include the few that were flying around us. The bed is uncomfortable. The pub below had loud karaoke till very late. The bathroom was riddled with mould.

• John (7/5): A pleasant place in a very good location. - I enjoyed my stay. The room was very comfortable.It was in an excellent location , close to the city centre. Unfortunately, though the cost included breakfast they ran out of food for the second night .In fairness I was given a $ 10.00 voucher .

• Ella (4/5): Nice place - - Close to Darling Harbour. - Friendly Staff - Not bad food - Alright to stay for a night, maybe 2, not long stay - Room was unclean, looked like it hadn't been dusted in years and the tiles were coming of the wall in the bathroom. -Floor was mucky, didnt want to take my shoes off, plus the windows were unable to be closed so noise was constant from outside. -Toilet would get stuck rediling the system for a while and needed to be double flushed before the system would work properly again. - Doesn't look like it has been looked after in a while properly.

• Jillian (9/5): Excellent location for the ICC and restaurants nearby. Clean, comfortable, and friendly. - Great location, friendly staff, clean and very comfortable. Perfect if you’re going to a concert at the ICC. Overall I was really happy with the room. Really minor things, the TV didn’t work, with constant wifi buffering, and a bit noisy from music downstairs, but hey it’s a pub so not unexpected. I wasn’t there to sit in the room all night, so other than that, it was really good accommodation.

Easy access to public transport and Aquatic center diagonally opposite The breakfast bar was very basic with poor tea and coffee selection.

• Carolyn (6/5): Friendly staff, but choose somewhere else if you are a light sleeper. - The location was great for the event we were attending near the exhibition centre, also close to Paddy's Markets and Chinatown. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was convenient having breakfast supplies (cereal, bread for toasting and juice) available, but we were not sure how fresh they were. The room was advertised as having a refrigerator, but when we arrived the refrigerator was in the communal space. The rooms are above a hotel and we did expect to hear some noise from the bar. However, the bar is open until 3am every day - this wasn't shared with us prior to arriving. On one night there was very load music and noise until 3.30am, the next night the noise continued until 1.30am.
• Mason (8/5): Comfortable, convenient and friendly staff - It was perfectly located basically next to the ICC Theatre, where we were attending a concert, a mere 5 minute walk across the bridge. Parking was a little tricky, as there are limited spaces and time limits close by. While the rooms were comfortable and appropriate for a place to crash for the night, they are still dated and could use a little refresh.

• Olivia (4/5): Room was fine, but we had a stranger enter our room. - Location was good. There was one staff member who checked us in that was great. One other staff member at night, behind the bar was rude, he didn't even speak once to us when we ordered and paid for drinks, he looked like we had really inconvenienced him. The room was very basic, it was fine. However we had a girl unlock our door and attempt to enter our room because the hotel had given her a key to our room. This made us feel very unsafe and as though we couldn't leave our room in fear of a stranger entering it.

Which means enough choices for food within walkable distance. We did not make use of the free breakfast since I wanted one last aussie breakfast outing (this is not common where I live). But if we were staying for longer we definitely would have used it. Nothing

• Mohammed (8/5): Recommend place, if you want a clean and friendly place in the heart of Sydney. - Friendly staff, clean room, excellent location. It is an old building requires some maintenance.. such bathroom corners and paint, but was very clean and a very good value.
