Guest Reviews
- terry (6/5): - Very long story. I booked this Villa 9 months in advance. Last minute before arrival owner decided to sell the property but didnt tell me till I wanted to make final payment. The offered me a different property in Oia not Thira which I agreed to considering the short time till I was to arrive. The property they gave me called The Green House listed on villasonsantorini was nice but I was surrounded by construction work, even on weekends, people walking through my private patio constantly, powerpoints hanging off the walls etc. I chose a bad time to travel as there was only one place open to eat as well. I left the island 4 days early as there was no peace to be had in Santorini this time.
- Eduardo (10/5): - Property is old around 100 years old of course,it was renovated but keep the touch of old house ,everything work water heater, bathroom facilities etc ,I would like to special mention to Kostas he’s an excellent person,he wait for us show me the property and explain to me what I can do special in this ocasión when the season is finish ,told me where is a supermarket, where restaurants are open in November I let you know almost every business is closed I’m talking ferostefani area but location is only 20 minutes from the Fira square, bus station and many restaurants etc ,be prepared to walk I guess you know guys Santorini is a volcanic island so stairs and more stairs up and down all the time but value of the place gave you a recompense
- Jeremy (10/5): - Great views, hidden gem with roses all around you on balcony overlooking the view, quiet and easy to get to the place once you know your area, warning lot of stairs to get there, takes a bit get used to it, person will help you with luggage to your room if needed, they provide large water bottles daily which is helpful! Glad I chose this place to stay!
- Kumiko (10/5): - We stayed the Villa Fegari for 4 nights. The minute we checked in, the host, Kostas explained everything and made us comfortable. The view from our patio was so amazing. We never got tired of it. Kostas recommended us restaurants, rental car company, place of interests, etc. The room was a bit old, but very clean.
There were about 87 steps down and 53 steps up to get to our room, but because of beautiful views, it really did not bother us. We are glad to make arrangements for porter to carry our suitecases. Kostas brought us a bottle of very nice white wine, which we enjoyed it very much.
It was a memorable stay in Santrini.
Thanks a lot, Kostas!
- Brett and Leah (10/5): - Beautiful view, helpful staff
- Keith (10/5): - Great suite with unbelievable view
- Kevin (4/5): - location was extremely difficult to access and the description was not clear about that. The owner was unprofessional (rude) and not responsive!
- Emily (10/5): - My friend and I could not have had a more pleasant stay and experience at Villa Fegari. We were met with a warm welcome and were provided with the best recommendations on the island by Kostas. The view from our balcony was surreal. We absolutely loved it! The interior of the villa was charming, clean, and truly accommodating. We cannot wait to come back one day! I hardly wanted to leave the villa because it was so perfect. We love Kostas and Villa Fegari! Cannot wait to stay here again soon. Efcaristo!! :)
- Vincent (10/5): Great stay, great location, great service. - Great stay, great service. Overall, for the price, location, etc., Villa Fergari is awesome, as was Kostas and his personal service and kindness. Further, staying in Firostefani, in my opinion, was better than staying in somewhere like Oia, which lacked a sense of relaxation with the overtourism and multitude of cruise-goers visiting to take a million pictures of themselves. Point being, I would highly recommend Villa Fergari to anyone who visits Santorini and wants to be in a central location with the right balance.
- Juan (10/5): - We stayed at the Romance Studio and it has been one of the best rooms we had ever book. The sunset from the balcony is beautiful and the service is excellent. They were super friendly. I will extremely recommend staying here. If I can give more stars I would.
- Chirag (8/5): - Villa Fegari is set in a prime location just outside Fira. The view is stunning as you walk out of the apartment. My family and I stayed in the Thea apartment. Kostas is a very friendly and helpful host. And his housekeeper Yiannas is terrific - pay to have him carry your bags down and then up (there are a lot of stairs).
If you have a rental car, there’s a public parking conveniently located just on the other side of the street. My only knock on the property is the poor WiFi, which was spotty at its best.
- Te (2/5): - We stayed at Cave apartment. The apartment has no view at all in fact almost no window. The host told us the area outside the apartment and a small patio on the second floor are our private areas; however all the guests when entering or exiting the hotel must pass these areas. Moreover, it is said there are two bedrooms, but in fact one bedroom is fully integrated with the living room. The apartment is also very dirty. If we open the door, there are flies coming inside.
- Zach (10/5): - It was a wonderful place to stay. Close enough to the hotspots. Totally worth it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great - The host was very friendly. The room was clean. Stayed in the Cave apartment, and it was very nice and spacious. I would definitely stay there again. Just be aware, there is a lot of steps, stairs, to the property.
- Melissa (10/5): - This is a great property in the heart of Firastefani. Our host Kostos was SO helpful throughout our stay and Sat with us upon arrival to give us ideas for things to do on Santorini. The apartment is a traditional cave house with the arched ceiling and a door and window above the door. It was cool and dark and great for sleeping. The bathroom is very nice and updated. We used the fridge and coffee maker but not the cooking appliances. The beds were comfortable. It’s not a true 2 bedroom if that’s what you need but great for families. The back bedroom is a sleeping tomb! Kostos arranged our airport and port transfers and made sure our luggage was carried down the stairs. They are steep and about 4 flights - a minimum level of fitness is necessary! The balcony just above the apartment and the patio just outside were where we spent every waking hour when at home. They were spectacular with amazing views. Firastefani is the quiet neighbor to hopping Fira with cruise people everywhere. There are several restaurants close by but also easy to grab a car or taxi to Oia or other island spots. We would definitely stay in this area again and highly recommend this apartment and Villa Fegari.
- Alana (10/5): - I recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Fegari and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrive, I was impressed by the outstanding communication and hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect was perfect.
The Villa is ideally situated within easy walking distance of the city centre and bus station, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city on foot. Despite its central location, the hotel provides a serene and quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxation.
Cleanliness:
One of the highlights of my stay was the immaculate cleanliness of the hotel. Every corner of the property, was spotless and well-maintained. The housekeeper did an exceptional job, and I felt completely comfortable and at ease.
Sunset Views:
The sunset view from the deck are truly breathtaking. No need to go out for a view! You have the best vantage point to watch the sun dip below the horizon. The view was nothing short of spectacular, creating a perfect end to each day.
The service at from Kostas was impeccable. The staff were not only friendly and professional but also genuinely interested in making our stay enjoyable. They provided excellent recommendations for dining and activities, and their proactive approach to service was evident in every interaction. Communication was seamless, with staff readily available to assist via WhatsApp.
Best experience! The combination of a prime location, exceptional cleanliness, service and security = perfect
- Michelle (10/5): - The apartment on the top floor was amazing. The view was incredible, the bed was comfortable, and the stairs to the place got us in shape :) it was centrally located and easy to get to Fira in about 15 minutes as well as Oia walking in 3 hours. It was far enough away from the busy and fun town of Fira for shopping and bus transfers to Kamari beach and Akrotiri site but close enough to get there either along the waters edge (20-25 mins due to photos and tourists, 15minutes along main road). Kostas, the manager, had many wonderful tips for food, activities and in general. He was very helpful and accommodating. His porter was very kind especially helping us carry our luggage up and down the stairs. When you are on the terrace overlooking the water, you feel like you have the view all by yourself. This unit is for 2 people max and we loved it!
- Amy (10/5): - Wonderful stay with a lovely view. Grocery is also a 10 minute walk if you like to prepare a few meals vs going out for every meal. There are quite a few stairs to get to your place but if you don’t have mobility issues, the view is well worth it.
- Phillip (10/5): - Great location with Caldera and sunset views and our own little terrace. Kostas was very helpful and responsive with everything we needed. Highly recommended. Be prepared for some steps like most places in Santorini, but the porter service was excellent.
- Samuel (10/5): - Interacted with Yiannis during our stay. We only stayed in Santorini for 1 night. The place was well maintained and comfortably accommodated our family of 5. The front outdoor space was very welcoming. The views were amazing, and being centrally located, we were able to drive all of Santorini and enjoy time in Oia and Akrotiri. There was free public parking just a 2 minute walk from the Villa. The area felt very safe, and we would definitely stay here again.
- Cylin (10/5): - Amazing view! Great hosting!
- Frances (8/5): - This was the cutest apartment. So much charm and the layout was great. We had a 2 bedroom with a kitchen and it was a great space for myself and my parents. The only downside was that the wifi didn't work so well. We also visited in January and EVERYTHING was closed. There is no one on the island other than construction workers and a few locals. Lots of construction happening. Would love to visit in April or October. But as for this property itself, it's very charming.
- Gelana (10/5): - Amazing view! A lot of steps to go up to your room . You need to be in a good shape to do it every day . 10 min walk to be city .i was here in December, not a lot of places are open but you still have a good timing options. Also you can take a bus around the island for a very small price. To Oia 1.60 and 2 .20 to see a black beach . I will miss this amazing view and gorgeous sunsets.
- Allan (10/5): - Cute and cozy little villa. I stayed 6 night in the studio villa located on the top of their location with a large patio with amazing sunsets! This property is located just below the main location/square for Firostefani, directly across the bus stop. Everything is located within a short walking distance and the staff is always available and communication is excellent. Highly recommended this Villa.
- Amanda (10/5): The view is amazing! - The Villa is in a great location although there are a lot of stairs down to the Villa. But this is Santorini and there are stairs everywhere. The view is amazing. Lots of restaurants and supermarket close by. Our host Kostas was fantastic. Gave us lots of info on arrival and was contactable throughout our stay.
- Sean (10/5): Great stay for Covid-delayed honeymoon - We stayed in the nest and the view is just as beautiful as pictured (although sadly the bougainvilleas has been trimmed/wilted). It is quite a few steps down and then back up, but it was good to burn off the wine. Great restaurant at the top of the stairs. Lovely walk to Fira/bus station. Should we ever come back to Santorini we will definitely book here again.
- Shireen (10/5): - This villa was stunning! Our view from the balcony of the Nest Studio took my breath away. The room was clean with lots of amenities.
Kostas met us shortly after our arrival and provided us with a map and lots of recommendations for our couple of days on Santorini. We used quite a few of the suggestions and were very happy!
Yiannis, the porter should be in the Olympics for weightlifting. Watching him hike our large suitcase onto his shoulder and carry the carry-on suitcase in his other hand, down the stairs from our room and then up all the stairs to town square was impressive. Actually, that’s an understatement as he still managed to be faster than us and less winded.
I highly recommend Villa Fegari and if I am fortunate enough to return to Santorini one day, I will not hesitate to book here again.
Note: for anyone with mobility issues, unfortunately Santorini is not the island for you. It is all stairs.
- Ona (10/5): - Lovely apartment. Fantastic host who gave specific recommendations for nearby attractions. Most spectacular view I have ever seen. Porter helped carry bags. There is a lot of stairs to get to room, so you may need to reconsider if this is a problem for you. If not, enjoy! This is a fantastic room. I would definitely stay here again. A less busy area than Oja or Fira. Close to supermarket. Absolutely perfect for our party of 3.
- Iman (10/5): - Best location and the most beautiful view! The property manager and staff are very hospitable and welcoming. Absolutely recommend!
- KEVIN (10/5): - Unique staying in a cave house. Views excellent. I struggled with the steps.
- Dimi (8/5): - Excellent communication from the host and a lovely traditional cave apartment with outdoor courtyard and a lovely view of the caldera.
- Maria (10/5): - Wonderful location with a great view! Our host Kostas was absolutely amazing: asked questions and gave us suggestions for places to eat and see. Thank you for making my birthday very special! What a fairytale experience!
- Clare (10/5): - Your own stunning views - can’t top it
- Julie (10/5): - Kostas met us the first night and sat down with us and made tons of recommendations to things to do and places to eat. He arranged transportation to and from the airport. The place was incredible. The view was breathtaking. I did not want to leave.
- Cormac (10/5): - Stayed 3 nights in the top level apartment. Super location within easy walk of central Fira but a bit quieter locally. Large private balcony with sun and shade all day. The view is just WOW! Excellent and friendly assistance from the hosts
- Hilary (6/5): - The property is a traditional cave house in a very good location with parking and restaurants within walking distance. We have no problem with the hike up and down the stairs to street level. We are aware that Cave House tends to be humid and damp inside so that is something to consider. The room is spacious and The furnishings are rustic as expected. Our ground floor room has access to private outdoor space but it is not very private and has no view so we did not use it. There is also a common outdoor space on second level with nice view of caldera and sea view, but we didn't find it inviting to lounge around. We didn't get daily cleaning service as stated and there is no "soaking tub" in our room as stated in reservation. The property keeper is very kind and delivered 2 bottles of water daily and helped us with a small luggage upon arrival. While the room appeared to be clean , I did find a small "roach" in the kitchen. If you are on a budget, traveling with family and looking for great location and view of caldera, this property would be a good find. If you are a couple looking for a romantic Santorini stay, this property might not meet your expectations.
- Myshl (10/5): - This is our 2nd time at the Nest. We honestly came back to Santorini to stay in this particular room with this particular view. Our first time years’ ago was amazing, but it rained. We knew it was beautiful, but wanted to see Santorini in all it’s beautiful sun shining glory from this room. So, we came again and got the sun! The history of this room, the amount of light it lets in, the view, the beauty of the room/balcony just is AMAZING. We don’t like a crowd, so this location was also perfect. It is perfect also to catch the full view of the sunset on the water versus Oia, where the sun sets behind the buildings. We ate groceries and take away from the local shops because with our room, we had any better seat than a restaurant. Kostas was INCREDIBLE again- we are adventures and explorers, so he was ALWAYS available quickly on What’s Ap to answer our questions if we were unsure of the name or location of something, no matter what time. There is another partner who lives on the Mainland, and initially I was accidentally messaging him before our trip, but he was also very responsive as if he was on the Island. To tell you how much I love this place, I will tell you we stayed at a luxury overwater villa in Bora Bora, and if given a choice of one, I would pick this over that if offered again. The beauty and customer service was THAT good.
- Martin (10/5): - Beautiful location for Santorini stay
Manager Kostas was extremely helpful in all aspects; places to eat and visit, return to airport.
Warning- lots of stairs
- Jennifer (10/5): - The views were amazing!! Great customer service. We were given a map of the island with lots of recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to eat at - all were so good. The accommodations had a very homey feel to them.
- Jim (10/5): Beautiful place in Firostefani, Sanortini - Villa Fegari was super beautiful. The view from the room was amazing. Kostas was very attentive to anything I needed. He was an excellent host. When I come back to Santorini I will stay here again. Thank you Kostas!
- Marla (10/5): - The most amazing view!! The property manager was so kind to share a map with info. & sit down with us. Great location.
- Olivia (10/5): - Everything was great about the room, location and superb staff!
- Kevin (10/5): - Great place to stay to see the sunset. 10 minute walking distance to most of the restaurants.
- Ginette (10/5): - Fantastic place to stay and most of all our host Kostas provided excellent advice and suggestions for our off season visit. He even arranged a car rental for our last day so we could explore the island. The balcony gave us an incredible private view of the sunset
- CARA (10/5): - Everything was amazing!!
- Teresa (10/5): More than GREAT!!!! - Everything was perfect, the location, the view, the house, the service, Efthimis!!!!
We stayed 3 unforgettable nights in villa fegari. Also they bring us a nice cake to celebrate my daughter bday
We recommend this place 100%
- Tamika (10/5): - The beautiful view of the caldera every morning. Management was exceptional. Kostas communicated well about the island and gave great advice about what to do, and what to see during our stay. Yiannis was so helpful with keeping our room clean, providing fresh linen, and helping with our luggage on arrival and departure from the Villa. Our overall stay was amazing, and we will definitely book Villa Fegari again! Thanks for making our 25th wedding anniversary the most memorable, and amazing trip!
- Baneet (10/5): - Such a beautiful place! We stayed in the romance studio and the views were incredible! We ended up watching the sunset from the balcony every evening. Great location and walking distance to everything you need. The hosts were amazing as well. Highly recommend!
- Leigh (10/5): - The view from Villa Fegari was unbeatable. We had breakfast and happy hour on our porch everyday. Also the place was so thoughtfully designed and homey. And the hosts were like personal concierges - incredibly helpful. I couldn’t recommend it more!
- Janet (10/5): - Beautiful decor and view, light and bright. Really clean and Kostas was extremely helpful with info about car rental and amenities in the area. Be aware there are many, many steps required, but the views are worth it. There was a bare minimum of dishes, cutlery etc. but everything was in good working order. Some salt and pepper would have been appreciated.
