KYOUNGA (10/5): - 호텔직원 Amber Yang 와 Davis Guan의 친절에 감동했습니다. 알리페이를 설치하고 갔는데 결제 진행이 안되어 dd를 이용할수 없었는데 프론트 Amber Yang 님께서 저희 이야기를 듣고 도움을 주기 위해 퇴근하면서 오전 근무자 Davis Guan님께 저희 사정을 이야기하고 Davis Guan은 우리가 청도를 다녀 올수 있게 차량을 저렴하게 불러주고 안전을 확인해 주었다.다음날도 공항으로 가는 차량도 이용할수 있게 도움을 주어 너무 너무 고마웠다. 조식도 맛있고 저녁 뷔페는 할인 쿠폰으로 저렴하게 신선하고 맛있는 중국요리를 다양하게 즐길수 있어 좋았다.

Wai (2/5): Distgusting hotel! Low priority for Hygiene in this hotel! - Location of this hotel is fine as it's close to the beach and several different shopping centers with restaurants are in the vicinity of the hotel. Although we received an upgrade to a suite (after complaint about hygiene in our room) which was better than the room that we initially booked, overall my option about this hotel is: 1. Very dirty, couch in the rooms are totally worn out and dirty. 2. Mold in the sink of the bathroom. 3. Rooms are advertised with sofa bed but even in the family room there was no sofa bed for my child. I send the hotel a message about the sofa bed prior to our check in but I received no response on my message, this showed a lack of attention and professionalism. 4. Negative response on requests by hotel staff every time I had a request (I requested extra bed amenities as I needed to make up the couch as a bed for my child myself and I also requested ice cubes as the minibar in our suite was broken). Just only by convincing the staff that I really needed what I requested, they fulfilled my requests. I had to request extra bed amenities 2 times because the staff was not capable of making up the couch in the room that we were upgraded to after our complaint, as also the suite did not have a sofa bed. 5. No extra set of blanket and pillow in the room. 6. When I requested an extra blanket, the staff did not understand what a blanket was. A blanket is quite a standard term in hotels, the level of English of the staff was really poor. 7. There was an extra charge for breakfast for my child while I booked my stay including breakfast and in my reservation there was no notice that there is a charge for breakfast for children above 4 years old. 8. The breakfast restaurant looks more like a staff canteen than a restaurant of a nice up-scale hotel. 9. The restrooms of the swimming pool was very dirty and smelled like a public toilet on the street. 10. The swimming pool was not continuously guarded by staff.

Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel didn’t provide a lounge or bar for a drink. They turned the lobby area to a banquet site which made the hotel extra noisy. My room is opposite to the staff doorway which they talked so loud that woke me up at 7am or so every morning. Staff are friendly but the services range is not satisfactory: they don’t have ice cube to provide.
Mok (8/5): simple and comfort but not exactly top notch - having Starbucks at their lobby coffee at Starbucks much different taste compared to other Starbucks, also this Starbucks cannot accept cash transaction without notifying customer before ordering. The property should have bellboys to assist on luggages.

Justin (10/5): West Qingdao - As far as beds go in China, this was one of the first to not be too hard or too soft. Could hear people and room service through the door, so traveling with little ones could be noisy during the day. It was quiet at night and slept quite well. Breakfast is amazing, don't miss it. And the back side of the hotel had an upscale area for eating and shopping right on the water.

inhsieh (8/5): Good hotel - I was surprised by the hotel. We didn’t have much choice, because this hotel is the closest to the conference, but ended up being a nice surprise. Not a Sheraton, but close enough. Good choices on breakfast.
rhodeweary (6/5): Nice hotel, lousy air conditioning (Yes, I am a spoiled Westerner) - The hotel is nice, and the beds are comfortable, but... The first room I was assigned was 29 degrees C. I turned the A/C way down and left for an hour. When I came back, it was still 28 degrees, even though the outside temperature had dropped dramatically. They moved me to another room, which was 24 degrees C. Again, I turned the A/C way down, and left it set there for 2 days. The coolest the room ever got was 23 degrees. While this was bearable, I am used to sleeping in 19-20 degrees at the most. The staff could offer no relief, and only assured me that the weather would cool off. But that doesn't work when the windows don't open. My second room had a secondary unit in the corner, but it wouldn't cool the room either - all it did was blow warm air. I might understand if this was the middle of summer, but it was late October (and it was definitely cooler outside than inside the whole time I was in Qingdao). Breakfast was good, staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean. I just expect more from a Marriott. Next time I come to Qingdao, I'll find another hotel, unless it's the dead of winter, and A/C won't be needed. I would like to give the hotel a better rating for service and value, but without A/C, it isn't much of a value to me.

125kleinc (10/5): Great value and nice experience - The hotel was far from city center, but can be approached easily by public transportation, and you can just take a walk to the beach directly. The diner buffet was great, the garlic roasted oysters were delicious.

We stayed there because it is prestigeous to stay there. Close to our business partner. Location was decided not by us..... Plenty of unproperly working facilities. On check out day only 1 lift of 6 was working. All over was very cold. Design of room seems to be great, but when you start to use yo see that it is not so comfortable. Not sure if stay there again

There seems to be no other way to reach out to this hotel for someone who does not live in Mainland China as they only have a telephone number
TonnaSteve (8/5): Comfortable & welcoming - Stayed here for several days in October 2018 while attending a nearby conference. Great value considering the quality of the rooms and excellent service from the welcome staff. Very comfortable bed, all the amenities you require and in the evenings there are spectacular illuminated fountains a short walk away that are nice to watch - they were operating at 1945-2000 & 2045-2100 while I happened to be there, perhaps there are other displays at other times. Breakfast is served on the basement floor and has a good choice of western or Chinese food, with knives & forks available if you don’t cope well with chopsticks. There’s a pool on the 3rd floor and a gym. Bar on lobby floor is good value for a western-style hotel - 35 of local currency for 500ml draught Tsingtao beer for example. Negatives? It’s a fair distance outside Qingdao if you need to be close to the city, a taxi will cost about 130-140 local currency (less than £15GBP) for a 40-45 minute journey. Getting back from the city can be tricky - I hailed several cabs and showed them the address card but they didn’t want to drive so far, so I walked to the central railway station where I had no trouble getting a taxi willing to drive the longer distance. They all have meters and I was never overcharged. Overall a totally satisfactory place, if you were there in summer the beach looks good and I’d certainly consider it if I was visiting again and didn’t need to be in the city centre.

Has a nice gym and pool. Closer to a beach and a mall during the night is possible to see a water concert with many lights. Considering a stay for work was pretty well.

Being a frequent traveler, i checked into the Sheraton Four Points In Qingdao . I was treated very well. They did everything and more to make my stay very pleasant. As a Qualified chef myself, I was highly impressed with the food and was again welcomed by the chef's and treated like a king. I highly recommend this hotel to stay. If there was 10 stars i would rate it a 10. Tom G, USA
wengcheongc (10/5): Excellent stay! - Excellent stay! I can see the beautiful sea view from my room. Service was great,from arriving to my departure day, everyone was smiling. The concierge gave me very helpful suggestions during my stay. If the breakfast buffet can offer more options of food that will be prefect.
jackaJ955ZW (10/5): Excellent hotel , Centrally located - Recently stayed here for business trip, the hotel has a beautiful lobby with fabulous view to the sea, the rooms are comfortable, beds super clean. l travel many cities in China, l have the best breakfast and coffee and service in this hotel, lunch and dinner are fabulous, Managers and staffs extremely helpful and friendly, you will be spoilt with the service, Indoor swimming pools and massages , hot showers with sea views are so cool . I highly recommend this hotel, I can’t wait to go there again.

MinibearX (2/5): The worst experience as a SPG member - It was only an overnight stay for my quick trip in Qingdao but it has to be the worst hotel experience for me as a SPG member. The hotel itself locates at Huangdao which is actually the outer island of Qingdao. Unless people have business to attend at the neighbourhood area, no point to stay there because it’s too far away from the town. Like any typical Chinese new town’s development, this hotel is big, lots of empty spaces inside and outside. The room was spacious, bed was quite hard for Starwood standard. Large bathroom but cleaning standard clearly needs improvement even at very obvious areas e.g. white wash basin and toilet. My room was advertised as the luxury ocean view suite but only a corner of not so beautiful sea can be viewed because there are still quite a long way from the hotel front to the beach. The heating was set at 27 degree, not possible to stop and adjust. It was a hot and dry uncomfortable night of sleep. Breakfast was at L1 restaurant, food selection was ok but not much service and lack of sufficient ventilation while cooking. It was a smelly and smoky place. The service was below acceptable level, check in was slow, unfriendly and unprofessional. No luggage service at all and no one was at the bell service desk most of time. People just didn’t care whatever guests ask for. Restaurant wasn’t open and room service was unwilling (probably unable as well). We finally decided to dine outside (a few local restaurants at the back street across road—if someone can make a safe cross as the greet light was only 15 seconds for a six car lanes road). It’s such a Chinese hotel, all hardware seem at place and look nice, but no service at all. It’s such a shame for Starwood Group.
swingtrader (8/5): Qingdao Four Points by Sheraton (Binhai Ave.) - The Four Point by Sheraton in Qingdao is a good place to stay with an acceptable price-benefit ratio. I had an executive suite room (ocean side) which was equipped with a King size bed, one full bathroom, another restroom, living area including a business desk(s), phone, mini-bar, 2 TV's, hair dryer and ironing station. The full bathroom was very nice with a walk-in shower area and a bath tube. The lobby area is wide open and check in was fast. Overall very clean hotel and room(s) with a modern design and friendly and helpful staff. Smoking rooms are available. Breakfast is one level down below the lobby and has some good choices but can be a bit improved in quality.

Ada1207 (8/5): One night only.......... - Good sized rooms, very comfortable bed, but colleague did say bed was hard. Bathroom, shower was large area and well equipped. Excellent choice for breakfast eastern or western. Free WiFi. Recommend for a problem free stay.

908edwardx (10/5): THE MODERN WOW CITY - I have been to different parts of China, this was my first visit to a modern industrial city on an island. A beautiful and pleasant place for business. A very clean city, at dusk all lights turn on everywhere, it's like a wonderland. Food is excellent, service is very good, I enjoyed the scenic beauty from my 23rd floor Executive lounge. Internet sucks, after dusk nothing much to do it gets boring. The bathroom was nice with a standing shower, bathtub, glass panel looking through the windows. Above all had a great stay and good value for my money.
Verified traveler (4/5): - Das Hotelpersonal spricht leider unzureichend Englisch. Schon beim Check-In gab es Kommunikationsprobleme welche sich durch den gesamten Aufenthalt gezogen haben. Dies ging von der Kaffeebestellung bis hin zur Auskunft über die nähere Umgebung. Das Hotel an sich hat einen hohen Standard für asiatische Verhältnisse, leider weit weg von Lokalitäten und Shops.
Verified traveler (6/5): 要改善大堂插隊文化 - 環境幽静，房間舒适。房内wifi爛透了，經常很快断線，最終还是放弃使用。大堂混乱，插隊客人太多了吧？大堂柜台職員只忙着為插隊的人辦退房！！排队的客人唯有自行叫停插队人士。網上已付房费，退房时卻被要求再付房，最后客人自己交出证明（其他国家酒店不用）唉…
Michelle O. (6/5): Wonderful hotel, construction views. - The hotel and staff were wonderful. However our sea view was full of construction and while the room was clean, there were face prints on the windows and smudges on them all all bathroom glass. It needed a more thorough wipe down for sure.

SKLIM1968 (8/5): Nice big room .. - Staying here for one night. Nice big room but the bed is a bit hard. Otherwise, everything works. See a lot of development coming up near and around the hotel, especially towards the sea side. Do expect things will be a lot more exciting in the coming years.

IRISHLADKelso (6/5): Not 4 star food nor servuce - Yes, this is a nice looking hotel with decent rooms. Beds are very hard though which I suppose is quite normal in China. What badly lets this hotel down is the food, lack of attention by the staff and mediocre customer service. This is my second stay now and only because I was working close to it. It has an executive lounge floor but the lounge itself is never open. It has an upstairs bar, The Nest, but again never open during both my stays this year. The China Spice restaurant doesn't have a menu, you simply pick the food from a selection on soapy a and they cook it. How or to what taste I do not know. Breakfast caters best for Chinese tastes and what European style food on offer is always stone cold. The spa price list is very highly priced and much more expensive than most of the 5 star hotels in China. All in all, a nice looking hotel with pleasant rooms but let down badly by everything else.
836jonathano (4/5): Disappointing - I must say that I expected much more from a hotel carrying this name and brand. Room was stuffy and smelled of smoke as did any hallway/ public space. Staff virtually unable to communicate and hardly interested in providing solutions to even the simplest request/ inquiry. Service very slow and the food was very disappointing and over priced. This hotel is very busy with events and weddings everyday it seems. I spent over a month there and was grateful to be moving along. The general area of the hotel is worth exploring and is situated close to the park and beach. Went for several pleasant exploratory walks and met some nice people.
Gary (10/5): HAs style but a good distance down the coast. - Nice place to stay for quiet weekend, very close to beach but a taxi drive of about 15 mins to where the action is in Huangdao.

Peter (10/5): Great business hotel - I am spending time in this city over the next period of time, and happy to have found this hotel. Restaurants are good, hotel rates good, Internet access free, room size - larger than usual. It is a feel good hotel.
