Guest Reviews
- Sicheng (10/5): - Buffet style breakfast was good. Lots of food to choose from. View from the rooftop was amazing!
Hotel was clean and the room is very spacious, but the floor is a bit worn out/uneven in our room. Didn't impact our overall enjoyment though!
Reception staff were very helpful with booking hot air balloon rides. I would go elsewhere for other tours as it is pricey to book with the hotel. (60 euro at hotel vs 40-45 euro elsehwere for red/green tours)
- Jinky (8/5): - Clean room. Receptionist when we arrived not welcoming. Breakfast was great and the female staff.
- Carissa (10/5): - The Ottoman Suites was the perfect location to stay for my trip to Goreme. It was in close proximity to everything in the city. We were able to walk to the restaurants, walk around the city and explore other areas in Cappadocia. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They booked our activities for us with the best companies and got me a cake for my birthday. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and had a wide spread of options. There was a rooftop and we were able to see lots of hot air balloons on the days we were not going to get in them :). I highly recommend this property for cleanliness, proximity, breakfast options, beautiful rooms, wonderful staff and a beautiful view of Cappadocia.
- Marilyn (10/5): - Easy walk to the town for shops and restaurants etc. Good buffet breakfast with amazing views. Room unique and comfortable
- Mitchell (10/5): - Service and cleanliness on top
- Lorena (10/5): - The room was great, only thing missing was a little mini-bar or fridge ( that is important for water bottles or drinks etc. )
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Cleaning room. Great service. Deliciosos breakfast. Walking distance to shops and restaurantes. Staff was great
- Julio (10/5): - Staff were very kind and helpful. We hire transfer service for pickup via shuttle service. Instructions are given when booking with the hotel and very detailed. The rooms are exactly as listed and very unique with it being a cave. Breakfast was served daily and very delicious. Of course the reason going to Goreme are the hot air balloons and the aesthetic's. Unfortunately that weekend it was canceled due to gust winds. The hotel manager was able to find the activity in the town of Aksaray. Pick up and drop off was included like the local companies. It was worth having the experience, especially if that was the whole point of going to Cappadocia region. Every thing is within walking distance to grab lunch/dinner and souvenirs. Definitely recommend if staying in Goreme.
- Rosann (10/5): - The staff were great. When we checked in, they told us all the balloon rides for the next day in Goreme were cancelled. They got us onto one in the southern area. It turned out to be the only balloons that went anywhere the entire time we were Cappadocia. We appreciate our host so much for that!
- Braley (10/5): - This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! The experience of staying in the cave was luxurious, the room was huge, and the staff was amazing in helping us to book excursions and cabs and recommend restaurants. It is walkable to all great destinations, has beautiful views, and delicious breakfast included. Would highly recommend staying here!
- Christian Paul (10/5): - Overall experience is great. Staff is very helpful and accomodating.
- Giai (10/5): - The hotel, though unassuming but it has all the elements for a good stay. The check-in process was easy. The staff response quickly in WhatsApp when asked about available parking for our rental car. The room was big and clean and it is really carved inside a mountain! The best part is, we were able to see the all the balloons took off in the morning on their roof top! The hotel is located away from the very center of the town but just 5 min walk to it and the tour bus stop. There is street parking in front of the hotel if you want flexibility in traveling around the region without paying for commercial tours. We rented a car from Kayseri and drove 1.5 hours to Cappadocia. Lastly, everyday a nice breakfast was also served on the roof top dinning area. I highly recommend this hotel.
- Reta (10/5): - The hotel rooms were very clean and the staff were very helpful and the location was less than 5mins walk to the centre
- D (10/5): Good cave hotel for Cappadocia - Large Cave room with huge bathroom, comfy bed and close to centre
- Angesom (10/5): - Staff amazing. Cleanliness on point . Breakfast super. Great experience.
- Manmeet (10/5): - Cappadocia is a magical place and having the right accommodations is key for a perfect experience.
The Ottoman Cave Suites was traditionally designed, with modern bathrooms (the high pressure hot showerhead was amazing after long days!!) I loved my room overall , this property and location.
Most importantly, the staff (Tuna) was highly responsive and communicative, and helped make the most out of my short trip. He was able to make me bookings on a short notice without hesitation.
Finally, the breakfast alone was worth everything. I have never had such an incredible Turkish breakfast with so many fresh made ingredients, so many options and homemade with love. I wish I could take the chef home. 10/10!! Highly recommended!!
- Trina (10/5): - I loved this hotel even tho I didn’t receive vip upgrade. The best part is the location. You can see the balloon flights from the hotels terrace. You can walk to restaurants, nightlife, bars and shopping all within 15 minutes walking. 24hr coffee shop was a 5 minute walk. I recommend the stone room over the cave room. My friends had the cave room which they enjoyed. I however didn’t like the smell. Cave rooms smelled like pumice stone or pee lol. Get the stone room. Room didn’t have wash cloths or luxury shower gel. The stone room was spacious. Cave rooms seemed larger though. WiFi was okay in the room. There is no WiFi in the lobby that we were allowed to access. We arrived early and front desk agent allowed us to chill in is bosses office.
- Kaylee (8/5): - Lovely location to watch the hot air balloons in the mornings! The room was very spacious and clean other than some rock crumblings that would get on the floors from the cave. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed it and the staff were incredibly helpful. Close to everything so we mostly walked everywhere!
- Mariya (10/5): - The property was beautiful with very pretty views from the rooftop and courtyard. The staff were so friendly, accommodating and overall exceptional including the front desk, breakfast staff, and housekeepers (Fatima and one more lady).
- mohammed hussein (8/5): - I liked the sunrise amazing view where you could see the air balloon beside the restaurant
- Cristian (10/5): - Amazing!
- Robert B (10/5): - The staff was highly responsive to travel problems (because of Turkish Airlines flight cancellations, I arrived t 4 am and they found transportation from Nevsahir airport to the hotel for me). They also fixed every problem with the cave suite, which was a delightful place to stay. I think this is an excellent choice for a stay in Cappadocia.
- Jade (10/5): - Second time visiting and have loved it both times. Staff are incredible and very welcoming and the hotel is beautiful with an amazing view of the balloons from the roof.
- Momoka (10/5): - Highly recommend!!! Amazing Hotel! We stayed 2 nights. The hotel receptionist especially Yunos, and other men were so kind and nice. They provided us everything we need, and our Airport shuttle(12 GO company) bus didn’t come on the way back to airport from hotel and refund, but the hotel receptionist man called a taxi immediately and we made it to Kaiser airport on time. Thank you SO much for your all support to us.
- Sana (10/5): - It is very beautiful location. We stayed in the deluxe cave room and it was very luxurious and spacious. Location is super close to main area. Loved the staff they are super friendly and welcoming!
- justin matthew (10/5): - Great staff, great room, great location and a super comfortable bed.
- catalin (8/5): - Good breakfast on a roof terrace with a nice view comfortable bed and pillows.
- Eva (10/5): - Breakfast was delicious thanks .
- Arlene (8/5): - The breakfast was always fresh and great, we loved this part of the day! All the staff was more than great, they went beyond to make our stay an amazing experience, even if the place wasn’t great, just for the people we would definitely stay here again!
- Cinthia (10/5): - The staff was wonderful! Tuna was very helpful with any questions we had. He also set up our shuttle airport pick up, and gave us a recommendation of where to go have dinner. The breakfast was amazing, carefully curated by a couple. They made us Turkish coffee instead of the drip coffee available. We will definitely come back to Ottoman Cave Suites in the future.
- Mariela (10/5): - The place was stunning, very clean, is a very short walk from all the restaurants. Yunus was very helpful, he helped me arrange the Turkish dinner, Air balloons, laundry and helped me to get the taxi. He was very kind and made us feel at home. I highly recommend this place 👌
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location, breakfast, service and rooftop were great. The rooms were very dark and dated, didn’t really represent photos.
- Niurka (10/5): - Great
- Allison (10/5): - My husband and I stayed at this property during our first visit to Göreme. We cannot recommend this property enough! From the room to the views to the staff, everything was perfect. We stayed in one of the cave rooms and it was extremely beautiful and comfortable. The terrace offers an unbelievable view of the hot air balloons in the morning. But what stood out the most to us was the staff, especially Tuna and Yunus. They made our stay memorable by working with us to help book tours and experiences within our budget that maximized what we could see during our time in the region. I truly believe had we not stayed at Ottoman Cave Suites, our experience would not have been as magical. This property is safe, clean, quiet, in a great location, and the staff will make you feel at home.
- VIPULKUMAR (10/5): - Very supportive staff, good variety of breakfast menu and good view from top at early morning
- Mohammed (10/5): - Very nice place. Clean and within walking distance of everything. Plus very nice people.
- Yerddy (10/5): - This is an amazing hotel in the middle of everything you need to do in Cappadocia. Centrally located, clean and very courteous staff. I had breakfast included and it made a huge difference in my day. Totally recommend to others visiting Cappadocia. Also try the massage services.
- Sandra (10/5): - Staying at this hotel was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our cave suite was stunning: spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of charm. Waking up to a view of hot air balloons rising over the valleys was absolutely magical. The breakfast spread was generous and delicious, with local specialties and freshly baked goods enjoyed on a terrace with panoramic views.
- narges (4/5): - 1- location is good
2- room lighting is very bad
3- access to the rooms very bad . Lots of stairs . No help no elevator
4- bathroom , very bad . Door broken . Shower malfunction
5- breakfast is ok
- Basak (10/5): - On arrival, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, giving good explanations of the tours and answering our questions. Lovely clean room. Hotel is well kept and the breakfast spread was delicious. Nice views from the terrace of Cappadocia.
- daniel (8/5): - Friendly staff
- Adriana (4/5): - Pictures are not reality. Not clean.
- John (8/5): - Great hotel close to everything
- Luis (10/5): - I love the location of the place. Nice view for the hot air balloons. Nice and clean hotel. The only problem is that they need to fix the floor on room 301. It make a lot noise when you step on. And need a mini fridge. Besides that the hotel is amazing is you looking for location and pictures for you social media.
- Nasim Akhter (10/5): - The property was stunningly beautiful. Rooms were impeccable very clean. The Ottoman Cave Suites is situated within walking distance to all the ameneties like eateries and coffee shops. There is also a bus station which can take you to the nearby towns. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned by the lovely staff everyday. Nothing was too much trouble the staff were amazing we booked our transfers through them which worked out cheaper than a taxi. Some of the excursions I booked through the hotel too which was brilliant as tthey took care of everything. The breakfast was good too and the views from the rooftop breakfast area was amazing! My husband and I stayed for 6 nightsat the end of May 2025. I would highly reccommend this place and would definitely come back to stay there. Thank you to all the staff for making us welcome and helping us to make a truly memorable holiday.
- ALINA (8/5): - Great location and place!
- Simran (10/5): - Amazing breakfast and great location. They accomodated all our requests.
- Mishaun (10/5): - Spacious standard cave room with shower the best I’ve had. Instant hot water, high pressure, big space to easily walk into. I would stay here again
- michael (4/5): - The breakfast was excellent. But everything else was poor. The room was not really clean and had a sewage smell
- Mahesh (10/5): - Hotel was location was very nice and view from the hotel was amazing
- Julie (10/5): Great Place to Stay! - We had an excellent stay at Ottoman Cave. Yunis greeted us upon our arrival and was beyond helpful the entire time. He arranged different activities for us as well. The hotel itself is magnificent! The rooms are enormous and spacious, the bathrooms are huge as well. The bed was comfortable and everything really was great! The views of the balloons in the morning from the rooftop is an added bonus! Totally recommend this place for your Cappadocia stay!
- leonela (8/5): - My experience at Ottoman Caves was mixed. While the location was good and the front desk staff were very kind and helpful, there were serious concerns during our stay. The hotel has no elevator, which made things difficult as I was traveling alone with a baby and stroller. Most upsetting was that one of the cleaning staff, who had a heavy cough, approached my baby, coughed directly over her, and touched her. Sadly, my baby became sick and congested shortly after, which has affected the rest of our trip in Greece. I understand people have to work even when unwell, but the hotel should enforce basic health measures like wearing a mask in those situations—especially around infants. Breakfast also lacked variety in hot options. These are important issues for families to be aware of when choosing accommodations.
- Kim Chi (10/5): - Great staffs, breakfast was good!
- Hardee (10/5): - Absolutely loved my stay! The accommodation was amazing—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The bathroom was massive, which made getting ready each day a breeze. The owner was so friendly and welcoming, which really made the experience feel personal and warm. Breakfast was another highlight—big portions and delicious options that kept us full for hours. The location was perfect too, close to everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area!
- Syed Ali (10/5): - Excellent stay
- Syed Ali (10/5): - Yunis was very friendly and all the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. the breakfast was a good spread. the terrace is beautiful and you can view the hot air balloons. 5 Stars, the rooms were clean and spacious, definitely recommend this if visiting Goreme.
- Eduardo (10/5): - The property is beautiful, the breakfast great and very close to restaurants and shops.
- Jade (10/5): - Perfect location, beautiful property and very welcoming staff who made sure I was well looked after while on my solo trip
- Yuchen (6/5): - The hotel was fine, nothing special in my opinion. I booked it mainly for the rooftop scenery with the pillows and such but they were covered the entire 4 days I was there due to bad weather.
There are over 500 hotels in Cappadocia and after arriving, I realized that they are all beautiful in their own way. All have beautiful courtyards and many have rooftops and cave rooms. I don’t know if Ottoman Caves was worth the price since the weather was not great to truly utilize the beauty of the rooftop. Make sure you do your weather research to see if the rooftop would be open.
Breakfast: There was a spread for breakfast of mainly vegetarian options such as mezze, breads, and cheeses. Kind of disappointed since the hotel I stayed in Istanbul offered way more.
Location: Very central. But again, there are hotels every step of the way along the town center so this isn’t super unique.
Cave room: Sounds cooler than it really is. The floors in the bedroom is super cold. The bathroom floor was heated in some spots so that was nice. The cave room feels a bit moist or cool though warm enough when we slept. I also expected more from the amenities - all the bottles of shampoo and conditioners were refilled because you can tell the text was rubbing off on the bottles. The towels were thin and small. The quality felt more like a budget hotel than a higher end one.
Tip: Schedule your own Airport Transfers as the hotel's will be 30 Euros and you can find much cheaper online & the same.
- Mario (10/5): - The location and staff are amazing!
- Michelle (8/5): - Walkable. Beautiful room.
- Amar (10/5): - Beautiful cave suite and very warm and welcoming reception staff. I would definitely recommend and revisit. The cave suite was a great experience and truly was magical.
- Hassan (10/5): - We had wonderful time. The staff is very helpful and always available.
- Mia Joo (4/5): Overrated hotel, not 4-star standard. - The hotel is a unique stay as it is a cave hotel. The room is big because I booked the larger deluxe room. However, the hotel is overdue for a refresh. The maintenance is poor, floor lights were not working, probably have not worked for years, so the room is very dim. A central light in the sofa area is our main source of light in a 50sqm room. And it is fluorescent white lighting. Marble floor is dull and have a lot of old stains. Carpet is worn out and the suede sofa is dusty, like it’s not cleaned for months. The room isn’t clean. There is a small piece of broken glass on the floor and I deliberately did not pick it up to see if it is cleared during our 4 nights stay. No, it wasn’t cleared, obviously the room isn’t vacuumed or swept each day. The towels and bedsheets are old and have seen better days, and the bathroom is very dim. We would take a lamp into the bathroom when we want to shower, and take it out when we wanted more light in the room. For a 4-star hotel, it isn’t well maintained. There is a musty smell too. Guests should manage their expectations staying in a cave hotel because the walls and ceiling are raw soft volcanic rock. This means that there will always be little bits of rock pebbles on the floor, so it always feel ‘sandy’ and dusty. Add to that, a poor cleanliness standard, and you have a dusty, old room.
- nafisa (10/5): - Plenty of restaurant nearby. Room was very spacious. Liked the breakfast a lot!
- ZhuangMing, Tim (10/5): - Great location. Room was comfortable, service was great.
- Oscar (10/5): - Excellent staff .
- Abdulla (10/5): - The staff at the hotel was absolutely incredible and very accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cappadocia
- Jigar (10/5): - Great view of Baloons in the sky from the property. Rooftop Breakfast area.
- Giovanna (10/5): - The hotel was absolutely a dream. I have never had so friendly hotel staff helping us and this was totally one of the reasons our trip was so successful and amazing. The hotel rooms are so unique and pretty, the reception guys so friendly, kind and helpful, the tours recommended by the hotel were amazing with great guides and local teams. This was totally one of the best trips so far and I am sure the hotel influenced a lot in this. Thanks again!
- Veronica (10/5): - Breakfast was excellent, beautiful room, 10/10 😀
- Steven Andrew (8/5): - Super hotel in a fantastic location within Goreme, all main sights within walking distance from the hotel.
- Tahseen (10/5): - A quaint hotel on the edge of the town but very close to all the restaurants, stores and city center. They were very nice and accommodating. The area was more on the quiet side. I liked that they provided toiletries, slippers, robes, water bottles, etc.
- Imtiazali (10/5): - Very beautiful view from Terrace, breakfast delicious, lots of varieties. Love the delux rooms.
- Den (10/5): - Helpful staff
- Imran (8/5): Nice stay at ottoman - Nice stay, the hotel arranged a nice surprise in the room and also kindly supplied us with on the go breakfast.
- Lydia (6/5): - Our room was nice and big, the beds were enormous but the duvet was small, the toilet flash was broken but still flashes. The AC was very noisy. The staff were very friendly. The hotel needs a little bit of upgrading.
- Kyle Lee (10/5): - They had the best view and the most helpful staff!
- Jessica (10/5): - Wonderful staff and amazing lookout for the balloons. You can trust them to book your tours and feel comfortable walking around the area.
Would stay here again in a heart beat.
- shayntal (10/5): - The staff were excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful in every way.
- Amelia (10/5): - We like this hotel so much. It’s so close to everything. The rooms are so comfortable and clean. The breakfast amazing. Everyone was so. Ice to us Specially Tunak. Definitely We will be back and stay here !!!!
Forgot the View So good. You can see everything from the top
- Ye (10/5): - Like the property, front desk very helpful
- Ye (10/5): - Front desk very friendly. Good location for everything
- Faysol (10/5): - Highly recommended
- Rai (10/5): - All the stuff there was always very kind and helpful with everything. The place there is amazing, especially in the roof top where you can have an amazing view of the hot air balloon every morning. Breakfast full of bio food. Everything excellent
- Jennifer (6/5): - Room was very hot and AC did not cool
- Rupal (8/5): - Good rooms and nice service
- ahmad fuad (10/5): - Luv it so much. Stayed here 4 times. Super confortable.
- Miss Monika (10/5): Highly recommend this hotel in Cappadocia - The entire stay was excellent. The rooms were big and all equipped with modern technology, but they still had authentic Ace-style rooms. I honestly think I got the most enormous room in the hotel, which had two big king-size beds for me and my parents in the other room, which was also excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, and breakfast had many options. You can have all the water to keep yourself hydrated.
The location is perfect, close to the city center and restaurants.
The only negative aspect is the lack of a luggage lift; we had to take three bags to three floors. Maybe a tiny elevator like the one they use in Italy would be better.
Overall, I'll be back and stay in this hotel again due to the friendly staff, the location, and the experience of the hot air balloons from the roof or rooms.
- Fernando (10/5): - Ottoman Cave Suites is excellent, very well located just two blocks from the city center, the staff is very friendly, very kind and ready to help, they make you feel at home.

The breakfast was fantastic - fresh salads, boreka’s, etc - above the normal breakfast. I would definitely recommend. It is located right in the center of town so everything is walkable which was also nice.
Special mention for Yunis at the front desk - who helped us get out of trouble when we almost overpaid for our hot air balloon by a lot and was an excellent English speaker, and very kind.
