- sunnysuesue (10/5): A Truly Memorable Stay in Bali: Perfect Location, Warm Hospitality, and Above & Beyond Service! - Last week, I stayed at Amadea Resort & Villas for 3 nights with two friends. It was an experience that exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was on the first floor, which we specifically requested to have easy access. It was perfectly set up for our group, with three comfortable beds (including an extra bed). We loved that we could walk straight out of our room and be right by the main swimming pool—it was incredibly convenient for a quick dip! The resort's location is also fantastic. It's situated right near the main street, providing excellent access to Seminyak's bustling restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Yet, once inside, it felt like a quiet oasis. Throughout our stay, what impressed us most was the staff. Every time we met a staff member, they greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly hello, making us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. Our housekeeping team was also wonderful. Each day, they left us creative and adorable towel art—a cute dog and a man doing a yoga pause—along with thoughtful notes wishing us a great day. These little touches brought a smile to our faces every evening. One of the highlights of our trip was spending Nyepi Day (the Day of Silence) at the resort. Since everyone stays in, the hotel felt peaceful and serene. We spent the day relaxing by the pool and enjoying the quiet. In the evening, the absence of lights made the sky look incredible, and we spent hours star-gazing. It was a beautiful and unique experience that we will cherish. The only minor aspect that could have been improved was the bathroom layout. While functional, the space for the shower, toilet, and sink wasn't separated by a solid door. With three of us sharing the room, having a bit more separation in the bathroom and closet area would have added a layer of privacy and made it more convenient for everyone getting ready. However, the defining moment of our stay occurred after we checked out. While at our next accommodation, I realized I had left one of my earbuds in the room at Amadea. I emailed the resort, and they not only confirmed they found it but also incredibly arranged to have it delivered to our new hotel! I was expecting a simple packaging, but I was wrong. The earbud arrived in a small shopping bag, securely placed in a plastic box with tape, so it wouldn't get lost or damaged. The staff had also proactively contacted my new hotel reception, so the earbud was waiting for me when I arrived back at our current room. The team’s care, kindness, and attention to detail absolutely blew us away. Overall, our stay at Amadea Resort & Villas was exceptional. The resort itself is beautiful and well-located, but the staff’s heartfelt hospitality and dedication to their guests make it truly special. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bali and can't wait to return!

The rooms are very clean, spacious, and absolutely sufficient. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the exceptional staff. I would especially like to mention the bellmen and drivers — particularly Victor — as well as Daniel from the security team. They took outstanding care of me, my safety, and my well-being, while also acting as informal guides for Seminyak and Canggu with helpful local insights. The reception team was consistently professional and supportive as well as the housekeepers. This hotel’s integrity became especially clear when I accidentally left several items of clothing behind. The staff contacted me proactively, carefully folded everything, and stored it in a protective bag until I could collect it. This level of honesty and attentiveness is something I rarely experience in other countries. I sincerely wish all the staff the very best and will definitely return.

- weymouthtraveller (8/5): Pleasant few days - We stayed here for 3 nights prior to a cruise. It is located on a busy street but set back so it’s quiet. Staff were friendly. We only ate breakfast there which was a buffet with most things you could want. There is a pool which I enjoyed relaxing next to and I particularly liked the lemongrass iced tea from the bar.

Pools scruffy with green algae on floor. Paint peeled off around edges. Not very appealing to swim in and I saw no one in the pool at all. Breakfast area was like a cafe but excellent choice. Staff where absolutely fantastic very friendly and accommodating. Live music of an evening was good. Did not eat dinner at this hotel but went over the road to Ultimo which was quality. Would I stay at this hotel again absolutely not !!! Booking.com gave this a 9.4 rating genius it is certainly not that this hotel is only a poor 3 star. My advice is stay somewhere else. However we embraced our stay and had a great 5 days in Bali.

- 801meganw (10/5): 100% recommend - Absolutely incredible haven. The resort is located on the main strip near eat street so you have everything you need in walking distance. However, it's so far back off the main road it is not noisy at all. The place has great amenities including 2 pools, a spa, a pool bar, and a restaurant. However it is small enough that you don't get that busy resort feel. The food is amazing! They have 6 vegan options as well as lots of vegan friendly foods in the breakfast buffet. They're also very considerate of dietary needs if requested. The staff are all very lovely and gonout of their way to accommodate you and your needs. They have lots of things to borrow or use of you have forgotten anything. The pool and grounds are gorgeous with lots of tropical plants and trees giving a tropical feel. The rooms have great aircon and facilities and there's always hot water. They are also doing their part for the environment with eco friendly options on request. They also have lots of free activities like an open air cinema by the pool, morning yoga, live music. Overall I would highly recommend it here, it's a cut above most similarly priced places. - STEFANTYRA (10/5): Exceeded all expectations. - The photos simply to not do this resort any justice. This is basically a 5 star resort with out the 5 star price. Sensational location being close to the best cafes, restaurants and shopping Seminyak has to offer, 5 minute walk to Seminyak Square and literally a short ten minute walk to Petitenget beach. The accommodation is completely hidden from the busy street. Chauffer driven buggies take you from Concierge to Reception where your room will be. The pool is stunning, the gardens are tropical and beautifully maintained and the staff are the most kind, personable and passionate hotel staff I have ever encountered. Hana was a standout with her extraordinary attention to detail however all the staff were amazing. We stayed in the Superior room. It was super clean, stylish (though a little outdated which is nothing in the scheme of things). Fresh towels, fresh bedlinen, toiletries provided along with bottles of water. Breakfast buffet was world class. We'll be staying here again. It's the perfect balance of being stylish without pretense, great location yet oh so private and quiet and stunning, personable service.

Pool is average like a filled sandpit with rooms to close to the pool. Rooms dark and outdated Breakfast food very basic , you seating and watching main road. I would give it a 2 star. It is not worth it for the price . Stay at nearby Seminiyak square hotel if you want location and budget or spend few extra $$ for nearby villa or better quality hotel

- DrClementLee (10/5): Blissful and quiet stay - This hotel is about 30-50 mins away from the airport depending on traffic condition. Situated by the main road and about 10mins walk to the beach(use Google map to guide shortest route). Concierge is situated behind its restaurant, accessible by narrow pathway beside restaurant. All vehicles drop off/pick up passengers from here. Rooms and villas are behind concierge. Reception further behind concierge, access via narrow pathway, either 1-2 minutes walk or by buggy. Pools are situated just after the reception. The room we stayed for a week is situated along the pathway nearer the reception. Since pathway is limited to guests, staff and buggy, it is very quiet at night. Good to have good sleep with comfortable King size bed and pillows. Room and bathroom very clean. Kudos to to the cleaners. TV with lots of International programmes(English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean) and local ones. Free WiFi stable. Occasionally serve special blended healthy juice(s). Should serve this every morning. Service by ALL staff is excellent, always smiling, polite and very friendly. From those at Concierge, Reception, Security, room cleaning crew. Compound and garden clean and well taken care of. Plenty of food choices, massages/spas around this hotel, all within 10-15 minutes stroll. Seminyak square and shopping complex is about 5 minutes walk. Do use Google maps to guide to Warung Made, Warung Nia, Warung Bernadette, Ku De Ta, etc. Shorter routes via back lanes. Motorcycle ride is very challenging in Bali if using Google map. Very stressful because of heavy traffic, narrow roads/lanes and lawless traffic especially when no traffic lights at many junctions. Google map also lead riders to ride against one way traffic flow! Most probably a norm among motorcyclists there. We use Klook app to buy our transport between airport and hotel. Cheap and convenient. Klook will notify who is going to pick us up.

- Seaside549210 (10/5): Great hotel, convenient, and wonderful staff - We are a couple in our mid 70's, this hotel filled all the boxes. Firstly the staff, friendly, helpful, wonderful breakfast with good selection of choices, we chose a lot of Balinese food, do try the cakes, delicious! Pool great, happy hour was fun, cinema show beside pool and their Hotel special Martini went down a treat. The location is just behind the main street where restaurants and shops are. It was quiet, and they provided a staff driven buggy non stop to access your room down a laneway. Taxi service available. We also hired a taxi for the day, driving to three of the main temples and gardens, well worth it, its a long drive. Lunch in the mountains, delicious local food again, try the hot roasted coconut drink if you get the chance and roasted pig. The town is very crowded with traffic, would also recommend their restaurant. Rooms large, very clean and everything worked. Thanks for five great days exploring the area. Extra thanks to the young man cleaning our room, he made such fun towel animals each day, brought a smile.

When we got here, I immediately understood why. The place promises serenity in the midst of what can be described as "hectic streets." Your stay experience is elevated by the warm and welcoming attitude of every team member of Amadea (even gardeners and security guards!). They always greet you with genuine smiles and constantly look for ways to better your day. Although we were just one of their million visitors in the year, they made sure we understood that we mattered to them (not all hotels offer this genuine attitude, we have been to many other 5-star hotels in Bali). I would say Amadea is one of the best hotels to stay in Bali if you appreciate positive and peaceful atmosphere. They offer poolside cinema on Wednesdays, a library, water dispensers, 15-minute free massage, and a second quiet pool, which we absolutely loved. Definitely will visit again.

One thing to note is that the laneway by reception is a good way to get to the beach as there is not much traffic and there is a convenience store within a short distance of reception. There are two bars at the hotel, one by the main road, and this has the restaurant, and the second one is by the pool (just be aware that if you order food at the pool bar it needs to come from the front bar, which is a few hundred metres away). Its Asparagus restaurant is excellent, with top-quality dishes and a wide selection of both Western and Indonesian ones. The staff is welcoming and always careful to guests' needs. The property boasts spacious rooms, with events like outdoor cinema and other activities such as yoga lessons. The rooms are clean, tidy, and fully equipped! I will definitely be returning to Amadea! To get to the Lobby, you need to either walk 2 mins going inside from the parking lot or take the 24h Buggy service. Front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and spacious, although the furniture may look jaded, the cleanliness and space made up for it. Toilet and bathroom was spacious too but I didn't really like the shower curtain. Kinda outdated though. But space in the shower area was more than enough. A big shout out to the housekeeping staff, namely Okta, Diki, and Indra, for keeping my room spick and span, and the origami they did showed off their creativity and pride in their duties. Kudos . Breakfast at Asparagus restaurant was good. Spread was sufficient and appealing. The staff were also friendly, eager and accommodating. Overall, this hotel is a gem in Seminyak.

The hotel is situated near many restaurants, shops, and stores, but its location set back from the street alleviates any noise from the busy street. This is a very walkable location. Depending on where your room is located, it can be a walk to the front of the resort where the restaurant is. However, you can get the golf cart if you need it. The front desk is conveniently located by the pool and there are two to choose from. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and room service was quick. Thanks for a great stay.

This hotel is awesome! I was upgraded to a room with a pool view. I literally walked out my room and got in the pool. My room was clean and a nice size. The tub was my own little spa because I used the bubble bath that was provided. The room did smell a like it had been closed up for a while but it went away quickly. The staff was very nice. I especially enjoyed Mason. He was responsible for driving the shuttle and helping me get my items. We had the best conversations and he told me the different places I could go. As a solo traveler, I appreciated his customer service. He will make a great manager because he knows people. Thank you for making my 50th Birthday great! I will be back! PS: you can walk to a lot of restaurants and stores. The Corner House is excellent. They have a live band,DJ and pizza. If you need a pedicure, dont go to Kimberly Spa a few doors down. They use a bowl to wash your feet and dont add nothing in the water.

- Geezzabird (8/5): 5 Night Stay In Seminyak - We moved here in from Ubud and were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Although it on the main road, it is actually set back with a walk or a golf buggy drive down to the main hotel. We chose a pool access room which, we assumed would mean straight out of your room into the pool but, you had to walk down the side of the pool and up some steps. So it was more of a ground floor apartment This is why I did not give the hotel exception for facilities. The room had everything you needed and was cleaned to a high standard with the usual towel origami left every night, which is a lovely touch. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for a late checkout as our flight was until 11.00pm and paid additional to stay in the same room until 8.00pm which enabled us to go out for dinner then come back, take a shower, pack and then get our taxi to the airport. The pool area is lovely, surrounded by Frangipani and plants with enough sun loungers with cushions and towels. The pool was cold, which was a blessing as some hotel we have stayed in the pool has been warm. There is a pool bar with happy hour and even a cinema night a couple of times a week where they show a movie by the pool. The restaurant is back on the main road and the breakfast was good although, unfortunately I got the horrid Bali Belly so only ate a couple of times. I must add I did not get it from the hotel or restaurant. I ordered room service one night and it was delivered hot and was delicious and very well priced. Otherwise our stay was good and I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.
