They do not deserve a 4 star rating! - The location was wonderful The beds were very uncomfortable, the water wasn’t hot enough for the 2 person bathtub. The LED blue lights all over the bedroom shined in one’s eyes while trying to sleep. The dinner that both of us had at the restaurant was literally awful and very expensive. The $500 room did not have a picture on the wall or an area rug making it feel very stark and cold.

- Vince (4/5): - The hotel setting is beautiful. Service was not great. We never received any instruction on how to avoid the ZTL until we called as we were entering the town. When we arrived at the front of the hotel, there was no where to park and no one to direct where to go so the car in front of us just stopped in the middle of the drive, got out and went up to the front desk, leaving us unable to move until someone finally came down several minutes later and instructed the one in front of us, and us, to follow them to the parking garage. Upon arrival to the front desk after dragging our luggage from Parking Garage B to the front desk, the scene was chaotic. 3 people working behind the desk. They seemed more worried about stapling receipts to receipts and something on the computer than checking guests in. Once checked in, we headed to our room. Room was small, which isnt a problem, but it was also dark. Walls needed paint. Shower was smaller than a phone booth. Door opens directly into the toilet. Breakfast was mainly continental style. Cold items like bread, fruit, cold cuts, etc. You could order from a menu but that was an extra cost. There was no self serve coffee station. No server ever formally greeted us so there was never an opportunity to actually order coffee. Instead, we had to flag a server down and ask for it. Our visit was not a 4 star visit.

Sonst viel Luft nach oben. - Gute Lage, tolle Aussicht, Sauberkeit Ausstattung zum Teil in die Jahre gekommen, vor allem Bad dunkel, klein und unpraktisch, in Bar ewig gewartet auf Service sowohl zum bestellen als auch bis Getränke kamen, obwohl kaum Tische besetzt waren, eher Gefühl von Masse statt Klasse, Dienst wurde vor allem nach Vorschrift erledigt, zum Restaurant selbst können wir aber nichts sagen

Men mht kostnad var förväntningarna högre. - läget var fantastiskt - hade vädret varit bättre hade det säkert påverkat vårt intryck mer positivt. Personalen var tillmötesgående och serviceminded - men med olika kapabilitet för sina jobb. restaurangen levde inte upp till förväntningarna. maten var inte bra - tillkonstrad. vi har ätit mycket bättre på vår Itlaienresa för väsentligt lägre kostnad. priset på hotellrummet var inte heller i proportion till upplevelsen.

Pas cool Obliger de justifier pour à la fin qu’ils se rendent compte que c’était le client après nous 😠
- Caroline (8/5): Rien pour l’accueil et la vue ! - Emplacement idéal pour visiter les îles et le centre de Stresa. Une vue sur extraordinaire sur le lac, à privilégier. Belle salle pour les repas. Personnel très agréable et attentif. Les chambres en annexes ne sont pas à la hauteur de cet établissement (même les serviettes sont déclassées). Aussi avons nous changé de chambre car le bruit du chien qui aboie et de la tuyauterie des étages supérieurs ne permettaient pas d’être au calme.

- frenchcath (6/5): Lovely hotel, awful room - The room we were given was small. The bed took most of the space. No space to move around. No hooks for the coats, no place to store the suitcase, the hangers in the small wardrobe were so high, you had ro use a metal rod with a hook at the end to reach them. The shower cubicle was also small. Price for this room 218 euro per night! A trolley with used towels was left in the corridor for a few days. And this is a 4* hotel!. I complained and they offered an upgrade, the night before we left! We were there for 3 nights. On the positive, the staff was very friendly, the bistro by the lake very pleasant offering good stuff for lunch and the position of the hotel excellent. The balcony and the view from the room very pleasant. We would nt go back though

- Jan (8/5): Prachtig gelegen maar wel verouderd. - De locatie. Hotel is prachtig gelegen direct aan het meer. Het gebouw is een oud klooster geweest dus vol historie. Hotel beschikt over eigen parkeergarage. Ontbijt. Weinig gasten in hotel en nog was alles te weinig. Werd ook niets bijgevuld.

- PHILIPPE (7/5): pratique pour visiter la ville, chercher d'autres endroits pour vous restaurer - Superbe emplacement en plein coeur de la ville qui laisse de quoi découvrir le charme de Orta San Guilio. La salle de petit dej permet d'apercevoir le lac. Un parking disponible. une seule personne à la réception pour check in et check out rendent les opérations un peu longues. le staff avait géré le parking de ma voiture en arrivant (le 1er garage était plein), mais personne ne savait me dire où elle avait été garée. Il a fallu explorer les deux garages avant de la trouver. Assez déçu du restaurant, avec un service qui manque un peu de chaleur, et des prix trop ambitieux pour la qualité de la nourriture servie (15€ le verre de vin de 12 cl!!). De longs couloirs un peu bruyants.

- Marc (7/5): - De ligging vlak aan het water en dicht bij het centrum van Orta. Hoewel in de beschrijving van het hotel gezegd wordt dat er geen privé parking is, was er die wel. De plaatsen in de kelder van het hotel zijn wel beperkt en kosten 10€ per dag. Er zijn ook enkele plaatsen met laadpalen voor electrische auto's. Het hotel mag hier en daar wat opgefrist worden en is geen 4 sterren waard. Eerder een 3+.

Die dunklen Gänge des Hoels, die "klösterliche" Einfachkeit.... Das Zimmer ist renovationsbedürftig: Möbel und Bad sind in die Jahre gekommen. Schade!

- Picanor68 (8/5): Malerisch ruhiger Ort vor traumhafter Kulisse zum Entspannen und Geniessen - Das Hotel ist super gelegen. Direkt am See. Traumhafte Aussicht auf die Isola San Giulio. Und in wenigen Gehminuten durch enge Gässchen in die Altstadt von Orta San Giulio. So eine Ruhe hatten wir zuvor noch nie in einem Städtchen erlebt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im obersten Stock mit Balkon und perfekter Aussicht auf den See und die Insel. Malerisch. Parkplatz in Tiefgarage verfügbar mit direkter Zufahrt über Tor. Kostet aber EUR 10.- pro Tag. Unbedingt dazu buchen, da es sonst schwierig wird, das Auto irgendwo anders abzustellen. Frühstück sehr gut. Grosse Auswahl am Buffet. Espresso Doppio und Latte Macchiato sowie Cappuccino sehr gut. Und es hat Aqua Panna zum Frühstück. Käseauswahl sogar mit Taleggio. Das Zimmer könnte etwas grösser sein (312). Aber der Balkon ist natürlich für Raucher perfekt. Auch das Badezimmer ist zu zweit etwas klein. Die Dusche war nicht perfekt, da man in die Badewanne steigen musste. Die Brause war auch fest montiert. Und der TV könnte grösser sein. Dafür gab es drei deutsche Sender. Nicht selbstverständlich in Italien.

- Edith (5/5): Renovation dringend empfohlen - Guten zentrale Lage, Parkmöglichkeit direkt beim Hotel Sanitäre Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen, Wasserhahn beim Lavabo funktionierte zeitweise nicht, Badewanne sah etwas mitgenommen aus und die Fugen hatten Schimmel. Die Balkontüre konnte nicht vollständig geschlossen werden und der Parkettboden davor war von einem Wasserschaden verfault. Schrank oder Garderobe waren nicht vorhanden lediglich an der Decke eine Stange die man nur mit einer Stange benützen konnte. So ein Zimmer sollte saniert werden und darf auf keinen Fall mehr vermietet werden!

- Emilio (5/5): Non soggiorneremo in futuro su tale struttura - La posizione Camera assolutamente non all’altezza di un 4 stelle. Piccola e con arredamento datato e poca manutenzione. Abbiamo prenotato una stanza vista lago e ci hanno dato una sistemazione vista tetti. Poi dopo le nostre rimostranze ci hanno sostituito la la camera molto piccola con una vista diversa e accettabile. Nella camera Addirittura non c’era armadio ma un asta alta due metri a vista per cui avremmo dovuto scaricare le stampelle per allocare la biancheria con manovre da circo. Pulizia mediocre e vasca e lavandino che non scaricavano l’acqua.

- Marco (7/5): Carino ma sotto le aspettative - Ottima posizione e personale cortese. Buona anche la colazione. La stanza è poco accessoriata per essere un hotel a 4 stelle (canali satellitari non disponibili, assenza di ciabatte e accappatoio, kit da bagno scarso) e la doccia è assolutamente da rivedere, essendoci una vasca stretta con la tenda in plastica e un soffione fisso da campeggio anni 80. In generale, il rapporto qualità prezzo è scarso, considerato che il parcheggio è a pagamento (e costa quanto quello pubblico del piazzale adiacente)

We went there for our anniversary, and it was very noisy due to the constant air conditioning sounds. The room was tiny and did not have a wardrobe; we had to hang our clothes on a rail near the ceiling, which caused one of my dresses to get damaged. The facilities were very old and rundown. Additionally, the hot tap in the sink didn’t work, and the sheets had stains on them. There were numerous issues during our stay, and the coffee was terrible. only the location
- Matthias (8/5): Wunderbarer Frühlingsaufenthalt in Orta - Aufenthalt am lago d‘Orta herrlich Der Barman am 6.4. ca 20 Uhr! Nach Bestellung u.a. eines Wassers wurde dies nicht geliefert. Bei Rechnungsstellung darauf aufmerksam gemacht. Auch nach der Frage, warum an allen Nebentischen Chips gebracht wurden und bei uns nicht,reagiert er, indem er während unseres Aufbruchs diese nachreichte. Er zerriss die Rechnung und meinte, dass Signieren nicht nötig sei! Beim Bezahlen der Rechnung war der Betrag fürs Wasser immer noch vorhanden. Der Concierge bemühte sich redlich, den Fehler ausfindig zu machen. Es geht mir nicht um die läppigen 5 Euros. Dies ist aber ein „No go“!

Trotz Nachfrage am Vorabend konnte nichts organisiert werden. Im Zimmer fehlt ein Wasserkocher.

L hôtel est très très bien très propre avec un emplacement vraiment exceptionnel directement sur le lac. - Friedrich (4/5): ein schöner Ort verliert seinen Zauber, wenn die einfachsten Erwartungen nicht erfüllt werden - die Lage direkt am See leider war am Donnerstag Abend das Restaurant geschlossen und somit mußten wir auswärts nach einer Alternative suchen Der Dauer-Lärm von der Heizung/Klimaanlage in der Decke vom Zimmer 223 war sehr nervig und ließ sich leider nicht abstellen... das Wasser in der Dusche/Badewanne war am Morgen nur lauwarm...

Diciamo che da un 4 stelle mi aspettavo qualcosa di più: camere più nuove/meglio tenute. Una gestione del termostato indipendente, invece siamo morti dal caldo. Bagno abbastanza datato. Ma complessivamente soluzione comoda a prescindere da tutto.

- Armin (6/5): Tolle Lage direkt am See, aber.... - Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt - leider war die Information im Vorfeld ungenügend. Es hätte sehr geholfen zu wissen, wie man mit dem Auto bis zum Hotel kommt - sehr steile aber wunderschöne Einfahrt, wenn man es weiss. Das Auto wurde dann in der Tiefgarage für uns parkiert. Guter Service. Leider wurde uns im Vorfeld bei der Buchung auch nicht mitgeteilt, dass sich das Hotel noch fast im "Winterschlaf" befindet: das Restaurant war ganz geschlossen, nur die Bar war geöffnet. Das Personal war freundlich, businessmässig, und nur ein kleiner Teil des Frühstücksraums war war geöffnet (aber mit toller Aussicht!) Was mich aber am meisten gestört/enttäuscht hat war das "reduzierte" Frühstück - keine warmen Eierspeisen, keine Müslimischungen... etc - auch wurde nicht aufgefüllt, wenn etwas leer war, obwohl es noch eine Stunde Zeit für Frühstück war - kurzum, einem 4**** Hotel nicht würdig! Da sind wir mit kleineren und weniger Sternen viel besser verwöhnt worden. Mindestens eine Bemerkung in dieser Richtung auf der Buchungsseite, spätestens aber bei der Buchung, wäre fair (Hotel nicht im Vollbetrieb osä..) Und ja, es ist in die Jahre gekommen - aber was nicht stört, wenn der Service stimmt. Das Zimmer ist wirklich nicht grosszügig konzipiert und das Badezimmer ist klein und um auf die Toilette zu sitzen muss man sich quasi beim Lavabo einfädeln - aber es ist alles da inkl Bidet... Das Zimmer, wie auch die Gänge wirken düster, alles in einem dunkleren Grün gemalt, vielleicht wirkt es im Sommer heller... - Frühstück Buffet nicht einem 4* Hotel würdig - wahrscheinlich der Saison geschuldet - Badezimmer sehr klein/eng - Düstere Zimmer, da die Wände dunkelgrün und schmucklos sind

- Catherine (7/5): - Bon petit déjeuner, mais la salle tout en longueur ne nous a pas permis d’être seuls à notre table ! Il nous a été fourni une chambre minable pour 320€. La Clim ne fonctionnant pas, on a finalement eu une très belle chambre, mais la différence entre les 2 étant tellement énorme, comment fait-on pour être sûr de tomber sur la bonne : un peu agaçant !!!
