Anthony (7/5): Good stay but the hotel needs much investment to bring it up to a good standard - The property was central in the town. The Welsh breakfast was really good and the prices in the bar were good. The property was really tired in all areas and basically needs new carpets throughout all communal areas. The rooms are also really tired and in some areas quite dirty especially floors in the bathroom. In fairness we were upgraded by the very friendly and accommodating member of staff that seems to do absolutely everything single handed in terms of reception and breakfast service. Even in the replacement room many of the handles on cupboards and draws were broken and the furniture had marks everywhere. The bedding was clean but stained. The bathroom had a huge water stain from the next floor above the sink and the toilet. The 4 poster bed looked to have stains all over it and needed to be scrubbed to get all the stains off to bring it back to cream or white. There was areas in corners of the bathroom that were not touched and a build up of dirt were in most corners.

Debbie (9/5): A comfortable dog - friendly stay at a reasonable price - The Eagles is an atmospheric, rambling Victorian hotel set right on the river Conwy and ideally situated for the surrounding Gwydir Forest and nearby lakes. Although the carpets in the public areas are tired our spacious second floor room was newly refurbished with a lovely clean shower room, plenty of towels and shampoo/conditioner/shower gel supplied and a well stocked hospitality tray . The TV signal and Wifi was good too. The room was warm and the beds were very comfortable. Our dog was made very welcome in all areas of the hotel and there was outside space for her late night and early morning comfort breaks with views across the river for us. The cooked breakfast was very good with basic buffet cereals and toast also available in the large restaurant. We spent a lovely evening in the public bar too. The evening meal we had was standard pub food but very tasty. Unusually there was more than one vegetarian option! We felt the Eagles offered very good value for money and we will certainly return when next in the area. The hot water in our room was lukewarm during our stay.

Chris (10/5): I use this hotel for work. Good food, bar and beer garden in a great location. Llanrwst is a hidden gem. - The room was nice, clean and modern. The shower had great pressure, a big issue in most hotels, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. For me it was good. No issues.
Craig (5/5): Fawlty Towers is real! - Very good breakfast on the first night as it was buffet but on the second night it was table service and smaller portions. Bedrooms were odd shaped, rickety hallways meant you could hear everyone passing by outside.

Was offered packed lunch because I was checking out before breakfast The plug in the sink wouldn’t work, so unable to fill sink for a wash. Shower took 10mins to bring through any hot water. Pub was noisey below my room, and people were very roudy in the car park at 10pm beeping car horns continuously. Lots of cob webs in the lighting. Room smelt a little fusty

TERENCE (5/5): Challenging to patience - room was large. Building is traditional and interesting, I booked a room with bath paying extra for this. When I checked in I found the room, though large and well appointed generally, had no bath. I returned to reception to find that staff had not noted the request and all rooms with baths were occupied. Having walked Snowdonia all day at 75 years old this was extremely disappointing. I was offered dinner "on the house" which I accepted as a gesture but I would happily have paid for dinner and soaked in a hot bath... My first choice for dinner had run out and the second choice was middling qualty. Drinks were good. Further problem came when i tried to take a hot shower and found that the shower would not provide hot water - I had to shower in luke-warm water - I was later infornmed that the thermostat had stuck. Next morning I decided against a shower - I went to have a good wash and the water in the basin would not run hot...I had a cold wash. The bed was shorter than usual - 2 single beds pushed together with a noticeable seam which I had to sleep across as I am over 6ft.

Inoaur (8/5): Another hotel ticked off our list. - The location of the hotel is excellent, being in the centre of Llanrwst, we had a very good reception from the staff. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. There was a kettle, biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar and sweetners provided and a nice bathroom with a walk in shower. The Sunday roast dinner looked very good and the breakfast was very good. The Lounge area of the "pub" side could have been better as it was fitted out with Kaspa shop seating which to us didn't suit the style of the hotel and the menu was small but adequate.

Ételek, italok rendben. A bár 23:00-ig nyitva. Boltok 100m-en belül, köszönhető a központi elhelyezkedésnek. Remek kilátás a hídra, folyóra. A helyi viszonyokhoz képest jó ár-érték arány, reggeli a szobaárban. Gyönyörű környék, a vízesések földje, rengeteget túráztunk, nagyon élveztük. Egyetlen negatívum a mindent belengő konyhaszag (az az igazi erős indiai) , ami már szerintem beleivódott a mindent beborító szőnyegekbe. Még a második emeleten is.
Sharon (7/5): - The location and the staff were friendly 😊 The breakfast was disappointing cereal, toast and buffet cooked breakfast......no yoghurt no fresh fruit. Didn't ask for any allergies. The hotel is tired looking and needs a little love carpet stains 🙄

Steve (8/5): A good stay - The location was very good and there was ample parking. Dinner was good and nice and hot. Tea/coffee making facilities good with enough milk. Instructions and wi fi password stated. The shower was a dribble despite the water pressure in the taps good.

Michelle (7/5): Staff helpful, hotel room disappointing this time and big cost for 1 dog staying. - I’ve stayed here before in different room and this time unfortunately the room was a little disappointing The room had a faulty shower, chipped mirror, was a little unloved generally.

Chloe (9/5): Extremely good value, clean, comfortable and included cooked breakfast. - Great location for climbing Snowdon the next morning. The room was extremely good value and included a full cooked breakfast which was also excellent. The room was clean and had tea, coffee and kettle in the room, with plenty of teabags etc. The bed was comfortable and it wasn't noisy. We didn't eat an evening meal at the hotel but there was food available. We opted for fish and chips from the excellent local chippy just round the corner. Nothing, all good. I can see why some reviewers commented on the stairs but it's an old building with character, only a problem if you are older with mobility issues, not a problem for us.
Claire (7/5): Pleasant stay. - Location good. Easy to find. Very clean rooms. Pleasant staff. More variety at breakfast would have been good but a good basic cooked breakfast. Didn't like the mushrooms at breakfast but good egg! The square was really noisy at night with young teenagers until at least 1am
Victor (8/5): We had a really lovely stay and had a gorgeous evening meal and the staff very friendly. - The breakfast was very good, portion size just right. Location of the hotel is excellent, amenities all to hand plus a lovely position next to the river. We found it ideal with our dog and easy access to good walks. I could not find a hairdryer, hankies would be useful in the bathroom. It would be useful to have in the room details of the breakfast hours and the time the main door is locked. It said 11.30 on the door in the bedroom but we were informed it was 9.30 on check in, this time was not a problem for us though.

The room was ok for its price. good beer garden with great views No hot water in shower or wash basin on the first night, it took ages to fix it. 2nd night it was just warm but couldn't be bother reporting it. Hotel needs refurb in places, but that was reflected in the price. I personally didn't like the American diner type seating in the bar.

Evening meal also good with efficient service. Had difficulty regulating shower….too cold or too hot. Main door to hotel locked too early (10pm…11pm would be more reasonable

Derrick (6/5): The Eagle needs TLC - The Eagle is an impressive building and probably needs a lot of maintenance but unfortunately there are areas of the Hotel and the rooms that need that maintenance but have not got it, some TLC required. Bar and food are reasonably priced and the staff are pleasant. General decor and facilities need attention.
ken nixon (10/5): 3 night stay at the eagles hotel - Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location,the room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable ,plenty of tea and coffee in the room ,the breakfasts were very good ,2 days of our stay it was a buffet style breakfast and on our last day we ordered off the very ample breakfast menu ,the staff were very friendly and made it feel like a home from home ,lastly we had a Sunday carvery which was excellent in both variety and value for money ,we will definitely be coming back sometime in the future ,Ken and Jenny Nothing

Duddy (8/5): Nice hotel, breakfast needs improving and more staff - The room was very nice and the price was exceptional. The breakfast provided was not at all inclusive, no gluten free options. The staff working were lovely, however the venue was very understaffed so no one was available to check in.

Ellis (7/5): Good overall for the price - Location is great for Snowdonia excellent breakfast plenty of parking. I booked a single room which was great but I really struggled with the shower it was tiny and had no water pressure at all.
Nay Nwe (7/5): Nice small hotel but too pricey for the facilities. - Spacious room (three bedrooms), nice and clean shower with two toilets. Towers, toiletries, kettles, tea and coffee . Full English breakfast buffet is also great. There’s a small bar that serves dinner including Indian dish. The location is also great. Heating only comes in the evening. There are two TVs in the room but only one works. We told the staff but they said they can’t fix it. They asked extra £50 for my 6yrs old although we already booked a three bedroom room. Most of the time, there is no staff at the front desk to ask something.
Aleksejs (4/5): - They turn off the heating at 9:00 PM and turn it back on at 7:30 AM until 9:00 AM. Then they turn it off again. We were there for two nights, and slept in our clothes both nights. The hot water doesn't work with the heating either. Nice , old building and location
Helen (10/5): Lovely little gem - Really lovely hotel. Such good value for money. Staff were great. Helpful and professional. Food was lovely especially breakfast. Would definitely visit again but on a lower floor. No lift and we should have requested a more accessible room. We were in 2nd floor which meant a lot of stairs. I did ask to swap to 1st floor but they were fully booked. Our fault entirely as I'm sure they would have accommodated us had we asked beforehand. Not the hotel's fault but no taxi service available after 2pm. We were visiting family about 15 mins away and would have liked a drink but unable to get back. Maybe the hotel could arrange it's own taxi firm 🤷😍

Marc (9/5): Very pleasant stay made better by the helpfulness of the staff - The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The reason for our visit was a family wedding around 10 minutes away. On the day of the wedding we could not get a taxi or Uber so a member of the hotel staff drove us to the venue which was really nice of him.
Dan (7/5): Short but pleasant. Food and staff were great. - Rooms were big spacious. Like the classic design from the original building Some of the decor didn’t fit with the aesthetic of the hotel. Beautiful building could really be nice with some investment. Some electrics didn’t work like mirror lighting and down lights in the ceiling. Taps had no pressure and flowed water over the sides of the basin.

Alex (7/5): Great value hotel if your on a budget. - Beautiful location by the river. Food was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and the curries.. wow! Hats off to the chef. Rooms were a great size. Dog friendly The staff were lovely. Mattress was rock hard. Shower either had great pressure but scalding hot, or just a trickle and a comfortable temperature.

Ian (8/5): Loverly place, amazing staff, great breakfast - Great location, staff were amazing, breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. Not much to dislike the rooms are clean and tidy but just few old dusty cobwebs on the lights and in the corners could do with cleaning up.
