Guest Reviews
- Adrian (10/5): - Nice hotel great location fabulous breakfast
- James E (10/5): Come and enjoy. - Next to heart of Killarney. Near shopping and great food. Fun city.
- Thomas (8/5): - Staff on check-in was excellent. They helped us get all of our bags inside in the rain (even though she was only working the front desk). Parking is a challenge at this property. Overall, a good one night stay on our 17-day drive around the country.
- Maya (10/5): - Clean room with a great vibe
- Curtis (10/5): - Great location. Underground parking. Good pub. Room a tad small, but I’d certainly stay again.
- Nancy (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable rooms and good amenities. Would stay here again.
- matt (8/5): Central location - Nice hotel very close to the Blarney castle. Only down side is no air conditioning. It was hot even with fans they provided.
- GARRY (10/5): - Perfect location. We were asked if we were in Killarney for the races. We were not, but the free Coach left from Killarney Avenue Hotel. Had a great night on the first of a 5
day annual meeting.
- Tanner (10/5): - The staff was friendly. Parking was a little difficult, but once I contacted the staff they helped me out.
- Joseph (10/5): Nice Stay! - Friendly staff, very convenient location, walkable to downtown and the national park.
- Richard (10/5): - Great hotel! Super comfortable mattress! Great breakfast! Receptionist, Ewelynn, the receptionist was delightful, fun, personable, knowledgeable and very professional. The hotel is very lucky to have her!
- Warren (10/5): Great location and excellent accomodation - A well located and lovely hotel. Great facilities at the sister hotel which is less than a 2 minute walk.
Easy parking and friendly staff.
- Mark (10/5): - Wonderful staff and location
- Mark (10/5): - The room we had was noisy in the morning due to a bus backing up at 7 am in front of the hotel and folks loading.
- Katherine (10/5): Great location, would stay again! - Great hotel, very central location to the restaurants and shops in Killarney. I was worried about parking but was able to get a spot both nights we were there - staff were super helpful.
Would stay again
- Steve (10/5): - Great staff
- Jaqueline (10/5): - Beautiful hotel, great location and friendly staff!
- Edel (10/5): - The beds were so comfortable and the staff werevery friendly.
- William (8/5): - Great location in a great city. Hotel is pretty good, just dated. Beds comfy.
- Sharon (10/5): - It was lovely. Everyone was helpful and pleasant.
The breakfast buffets had a lot of choices. The lunch or dinner meals were delicious. I told the the wait staff that what I liked about the food was that it was served hot on warm plates. That allowed me to enjoy my meal, take my time without it getting cold before I finished. I thought the prices were reasonable.
- CHAD (10/5): - Nice hotel in greàt location
- Susan (8/5): Great location, tough parking - Great location, but parking was insufficient as they mention and the instructions to find the nearest parking lot was lacking. Security had no idea, and after driving around town, I finally called and was instructed to a public lot very close (that wasn’t showing up on my maps)
- Kelley (8/5): - Lovely hotel with accommodating staff. My mother has mobility issues and they worked with us to move to a room with an accessible shower. They were also very helpful with suggestions on places to go around town and just very accommodating. Hotel in is a good atmosphere and even some locals recommend eating there. The accommodations were nice, beds were a bit hard to me and the shower was very basic for such a nice hotel but each room comes with a jetted tub which is a very nice touch. Would definitely book again.
- Mary (10/5): - The hotel was conveniently located in the center of town. The view from our room was fantastic, it looked across the main road and into the park. We enjoyed walking to everything. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in town, but the hotel restaurant and bar service is excellent as well. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the dining room. The staff were very kind and helpful. We had an early morning train, and the chef prepared a delicious “to go” bag which was just wonderful! We would love to go back again, and we would highly recommend this hotel to our friends and family!
- tammie (10/5): - It was true irish feeling

- Beth (10/5): - Beautiful hotel with clean, comfortable and very nice rooms. Especially appreciated the AC. Staff was excellent and helpful. Great spread for breakfast. It is the perfect location for walking to town and the Killarney National Park.
- Judy (10/5): - Lovely hotel, very charming, conveniently located. Staff was helpful and friendly. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever stayed in, and huge fluffy pillows! It was also nice that the Irish Roots show was right in our hotel.
- Julia (10/5): - Accommodations were lovely. The food and staff were excellent. Would highly recommend!

- John (10/5): - Spacious rooms in a classic older hotel
- Nancy (10/5): - The reception desk personnel was outstanding and went above expectations. Very helpful.

- ROGER (10/5): Service is old school! - The staff at this hotel is excellent and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable - particularly Elena at the front desk. The breakfast buffet is good and the rooms are comfortable.

- Siobhan (10/5): - Comfortable room with nice territorial view. Friendly staff.
- Murphy (10/5): Great One-Night Stay in Killarney - Wonderful hotel centrally located in Killarney with friendly staff and comfortable rooms! Wish we could've had more time here and hope to be back soon!
- Robert (8/5): - The water pressure for the shower was very low.hsir in the bath and sink.everything else good .lovely huge bed.and very quiet
- Darlene (10/5): - Centrally located to walk about for food and shopping
- Todd (10/5): Definitely Recommend - The hotel was fantastic. The location is ideal for visting Killarney and the staff at the front desk was very nice. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We visited the bar a couple times and it had a great feel to it. One bartender wasn't great but the staff seemed to be having a good time. Overall, definitely would stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling there.
- Niall (10/5): Lovely staff and perfect location - Great welcome at reception and all round lovely atmosphere.
Location was perfect for everything.
Could not find a fault at all.

- Eunice (10/5): - Great hotel great front desk. Lots of dining options and live music around the hotel.
- Matt (10/5): - What's not to like about this property? Well appointed, great staff, fantastic location & a good pub for a pint.
- Sam (10/5): - One nights stay lovelywarm room great staff.
- Andrew (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay
- Aaron (4/5): If you have a vehicle, you’re screwed. - The car parking situation was horrendous. I rang reception and was initially told to park under the hotel. I drove around and called reception only to have them tell me they were full and I would have to park in a public car park about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and that I’d need to pay for parking from 9am.
If I had have known, I would have chosen an alternative hotel. I chose it in the basis it had parking. To have to schlepp my luggage to and from the hotel only added insult to injury. I cannot recommend this place.
- Kevin (10/5): - It was prefect no problem and staff friendly and lovely !!
- Caroline (8/5): - The hotel was in great proximity to the town, shopping, restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The dinner at the Kenmare room excellent. The hotel clean and beautiful.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - I stayed for 3 nights as a solo traveller. The staff were amazing at check-in, the pub and the restaurant. Everyone was so lovely and kind, with good suggestions for things to do when my original plans fell through. It is a bit of a historic hotel, so if you are looking for new and contemporary place, this isn't for you. However, I highly recommend the Killarney Avenue hotel if you are looking for a friendly and convenient place to stay.
- John (10/5): - Lovely hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
- Nicole (10/5): - It’s a great location, very well maintained hotel
Great service and very easy parking right close to the front door
They have a very cute and friendly pub that get to relaxed with a pint after a long drive
One small suggestion is they should have a minimum age of 5 or 10 years old
Two young kids 2-3 years old screamed and yelled for 30 minutes straight till most of the customers left at which time we did too
Really ruin a beautiful evening but it’s not the hotel’s fault
Nothing they could do probably to stop them
I would go back but I would maybe go to a pub out of the hotel next time
But staff and they do their best I am sure
- MARCI (8/5): - Killarney is a cute town with lots to do. The hotel was perfectly situated for exploring the town and all it has to offer.
- William (10/5): - Rooms were very comfortable. This was the best hotel we stayed in Ireland.
- Albert (10/5): - The hotel was amazing. Centrally located, close to restaurants, pubs, dining, etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Lana (8/5): - Gorgeous older hotel. Exceptional staff. Fabulous firm bed meant a glorious sleep for both of us. Would return.
- JAMES (10/5): - Lovely place and will stay here again!
- Janette (8/5): - Great location, easy access to restaurants and shopping.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Pretty hotel, great location!
- Marshall (10/5): - Very nice hotel convenient to town. The room was a good size with all the necessary conveniences. The restaurant and bar were great- food, service and decor were top-notch. Parking was available on he property.
- Dee (10/5): - Excellent place to stay. Room was cute and comfortable- excellent breakfast
- Adam (10/5): - Very accommodating staff
- P (10/5): - Amazing place to stay! Beautiful building, we were actually quite surprised by how much better it was than in the photos etc!
Lovely staff and really really nice bar and restaurant.
We were on a Motorbike so parking was super easy but have seen car parking is tight.
Would highly recommend
- William (10/5): - Elena, the hotel receptionist who greeted us was very friendly and helpful. She pointed out how to walk to places in Killarney and offered us some tea upon arrival. She was outstanding!
- Catherine (10/5): - Great location, poor customer service. Room was dirty, water left in kettle from previous customer. No tissue in bathroom. Tried calling front desk, no answer. Had to call from outside line to get an answer, frustrating experience
- kimberly (10/5): - Parking was great! Staff was outstanding. The place was very clean and energy efficient.
- Dusty (10/5): - Staff was excellent, location excellent!
- john (10/5): - Great location; beautiful lobby with bar; comfortable rooms.
- Daniel (10/5): - Wonderful hotel
- Bruce (10/5): - Easy access to Ring of Kerry.
- Donald (8/5): - Very convenient location.
Many dining options within walking distance.
Pleasant pub. Offers gym and spa services at an adjacent property. Has a nightly Irish music and dance program.
- Philip (8/5): - Excellent staff - friendly and helpful. Comfortable and good location next to Killarney centre.
- anthony (8/5): - Loved the hotel and friendliness of staff. Bar and food were wonderful. Only downside was fitness center opened late so unable to use and parking hard.
- Stephen (10/5): Don't hesitate booking this hotel. - It was nice to be pampered and well attended after a few bnbs. We finished Dingle loop early so we arrived early. Room wasn't ready but was told about Killarney House and Gardens. Nice walk and tour. Had lunch and room was ready. Very nice traditional hotel worth every penny. Staff was great. Breakfast in the morning was very good. They had the buffet which started at 7:30 but we were getting an early start and was served off the menu.
Got a little noisy when the tour group came down to eat. We had finished our quiet full Irish breakfast by the time the crowd came in.
Room alone was worth the price breakfast just added to the value.
- Barry (8/5): - This is an old historic hotel that has beautiful dining and bar architecture. The room we stayed in was on the top floor and nice and roomy with a well renovated bathroom and a view of the national forest and town square. The guest services is well done and courteous, but my only real complaint is the bar and dining staff, surprisingly it seems that they are disgruntled with frowns and would not come to the table. Plenty of bar tenders and we were able to overcome there lack of wait service by going directly to the bar, and I might add that the food was very good. Otherwise, it was good experience and would have given it a five star experience with better dining and bar service. I also might add that there was what I believe the wait staff manager that was very nice and working her tail off doing a lot of the work because the other waitresses were slow and not very productive.
- Phillip (8/5): - Great location near town. Walkable to most places. Nice pub and great breakfast. Parking is tight and the rooms a bit small for our liking. A large or elderly person would have a hard time navigating the tub and shower that came with our room.
- Karen (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay
- Kimberley (10/5): - Fantastic location, clean and comfortable rooms. Charming hotel room. Perfect location, close to town.
- Sally (10/5): - Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and quiet, you’ll be able to sleep peacefully and comfortably. Areas is safe to go around, walkable to
restaurants , convenient stores & gift shops.
Parking is a bit tight, but manageable. I would definitely recommend this place!
- Michelle (8/5): - Nice location. Charming old hotel.
- Tom (10/5): - Nice location to the Killarney national park and town restaurants and stores.
- Melissa (10/5): - Beautiful hotel. Lovely room. Favorite stay on our Ireland adventure. Parking was very limited space near hotel though.
- Carlos (6/5): - No parking available when we arrived--had to park three blocks away. Hotel is very dated.
- Dwayne (10/5): - Very kind and friendly staff
- Pauline (10/5): Old world charm in Killarney- - Wonderful classic hotel with beautiful details. Very kind staff! Quiet but very close to town. Breakfast was delicious. I can’t wait to return!
- Joseph (10/5): - The staff was fantastic. Food was amazing
- Shari (8/5): - Great staff with a super location.
- Robert (10/5): - Old, but sexy and quaint! Rooms need a little updating and maintenance.
- Laureen Anne (10/5): - Beautiful hotel and staff were amazing. Best experience
