Guest Reviews
- karenm918 (10/5): Family get together - This was such a great experience staying there. We arrived on a Sunday. They had a nice pool party going with techno music. We enjoyed that the meals at the restaurant were amazing. Happy hour was fantastic. The staff couldn’t be nicer so clean and everything you needed. they were there to help you. I would definitely stay there again. It’s in a great location and you won’t regret it.
- Samiam433 (10/5): An old favorite that keeps using it's game. - I constantly drift back to places with an eclectic decor and friendly engaging service. The Hollander consistently fits the bill.
- FlyGirl413 (10/5): Great Stay! - Love the Hollander! Super location near the free trolley and bus line. Kitty corner from a wonderful Art and Craft Museum and easy walking distance to a park and marina. The hotel has a very nice restaurant and bar with many craft beer choices. The pool is very inviting. There are cozy seating areas inside and out for relaxing. The lobby has interesting art including sculptures. The crowning jewel of this place is the staff., especially at the front desk. They are consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I have stayed here 3 times and will be back.
- Ohiospacecowgirl (10/5): We look so forward every year for our stay at the Hollander Hotel! What a true gem it is! - Our annual trip to the Hollander Hotel was amazing as ever! Jeffery Morrison greeted us when we got there and welcomed us back! We so look forward to our yearly trip or the Hollander! Everything is so great there! Location, beautifully decorated rooms, the excellent restaurant(I told them the Grouper bites were the best I have had in 2 years anywhere in Florida! The Expresso Martinis, Yum! And we love having breakfast every morning with our dog Mayzie and she love Jeff and all the rest of the staff as they always make over her! the Hollander is such a cool Art Deco hotel! Don’t miss it if traveling to St. Pete!
- G5147LYjaym (10/5): Family reunion - The moment we arrived, Jeff at the front desk made all the difference to a wonderful experience for our family get together. The Hollander itself is very charming historic character with all modern conveniences. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The common area was very comfortable and relaxing. The pool was very relaxing perfect place and enjoy St. Petes sunshine.
Thanks, Jeff and the entire staff for a wonderful experience
Definitely recommend this Hotel

- jaymI405XM (10/5): Incredible service and charm at historic Hollander Hotel - I stopped at the Hollander Hotel for a few days on my way down to Naples and couldn't have been more impressed. Every member of the staff, especially Jeff behind the desk, was incredibly helpful and professional. The restaurant was great. The pool and outdoor bar area was my favorite part. And the place has incredible charm and impressive updates for such a historic building. The room was clean and large and the downtown location is perfect. Plus the rates are reasonable, making it a terrific value. I look forward to going back for a longer stay next February.
- jacquit601 (2/5): Pet Friendly I think not 🚫 - You say " Pet Friendly ". I ll question that ! I've been traveling from Clearwater for years , love the Meatballs and Mussels in the Tap Room . Today I was in with my "Service dog , papers available for the asking " , completely contained in a trav l bag and seated on the floor . We were asked to move , and in the he middle of our meal . Then we were told by our new server that we could and should take a look at the pool area and the Boutique hotel . Well we tried but we're stopped at the door by a woman , in a burgundy polka dot shirt . First she said no outside food or drink ,half empty bottle of water in my purse , in the pool area and no dogs. Please keep in mind that we just wanted to look at the pool area . We did not plan on staying , drinking or eating , simply to take a quick look . Very unprofessional . You ve lost me forever .
- deanluebbe (10/5): Great hotel, particularly the staff - Wonderful boutique hotel. Great mix of locals and guests business people. Lively restaurant and bar. The hotel is old, so rooms do not havesome of the more modern amenities, but they are clean and the staff is just outstanding. Would highly recommend this place. You can walk anywhere, but it’s not in the hustle bustle of everywhere.
- commacktraveller (10/5): Super staff made us feel like we were staying with friends - The hotel stood out first and foremost by the super friendly staff! Everyone we met at the hotel or Tap Room was awesome! The room and location were great but it was the people that will bring us back again!
- debbiebJ8682BO (10/5): Super Experience - I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel.
Traveling as a solo, I sometimes feel uncomfortable, but from the minute, I walked in to this boutique type hotel I was welcomed and felt part of a community.
A charming lobby a great bar, comfortable rooms but mostly it’s the staff. The Front Desk people Jeff, Vic, Will and Marissa bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you could possibly want during your stay..
i’m not one to sit at a bar but the happy hour here not like any other. Anthony and Tyler make sure you feel at home.
Great appetizers, drinks, and entertainment!
I’ve already booked my stay for next year, and I can’t wait to come back.
A big thank you to all the folks at the Hollander!
- E9243BEdonnae (10/5): Love this place! - Remember when the hotel itself was the destination?
At the Hollander, you’ll be greeted by people who care about the hotel and you’ll find a large porch to enjoy, or the cozy indoor space for a drink. The bar and restaurant are well stocked and staffed.
- G6736RVsandram (10/5): Here's a great place to stay! - The Hollander Boutique Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida is extremely unique in its accommodations and the warmth of the services it provides. From the time you walk into the lobby until you leave, you are more than guests, you are members of the Hollander family. While Nick and Will set the tone for the welcoming and dedicated staff, we have enjoyed the friendly and excellent care received from all members of the staff, from front desk staff to managers and housekeepers, as we have spent time with them for each of the last 8 years. Evidence of how well the Hollander treats its guests is the number of guests we met over the years who, like us, have returned each year to enjoy the great Hollander experience.
The Hollander’s location is within walking distance of theaters, recreation facilities, the pier, many restaurants, and museums, and, on-site, you are treated to a pool, a pool bar, a sweet shop, a restaurant with bar, and a large people-watching porch. While providing the great amenities for its transient “family”, the Hollander’s reputation is built on the principle of “your wish is our command.” We are grateful for having been members of the Hollander family for eight years and thank them for their service and friendship.

- Wanderlassie (10/5): Absolutely made my husband‘s 77th birthday WONDERFUL; thank you! - Having stayed here in December when friends visited from Colorado I chose to take my husband to the Hollander for his 77th birthday. We’ve been experiencing homeownership tedium as well as health care anguish for nearly a month, and I was concerned about whether I could revive my husband’s joi de vivre. From the moment I hinted that we would be staying at the Hollander BOTH our moods picked up. I was privately reassured that management had arranged an upgrade for our room but had no idea the delight of staying in a third floor suite that was blissfully quiet. A bottle of champagne was even provided! We had dinner out by the pool and the service there was lovely and attentive. A stay like this in the Hollander’s cute vintage hotel was exactly what we needed to return to ‘reality’ feeling younger and much better able to resume ‘adulting’. Front desk gals are TERRIFIC and the live and let live personalities of all staff we met is exceedingly refreshing amidst the havoc of what is going on in the U.S. THANK YOU ALL!
P.S. Unfortunate that a previous review might keep ANYONE from allowing themselves to experience this delightful hotel.
- Global601991 (10/5): Home away from home - Great place to stay. Most welcoming and accommodating people. Friendly and helpful. Extremely clean n comfortable rooms. Restaurant is wonderful and food is good n reasonable. Manager Will goes above and beyond to help. Great location. Home away from home. Feels like family
- Vacation53947968182 (4/5): Great Location, Friendly Staff — but Outdated, Dark Rooms That Don’t Match the Hype - We were genuinely surprised by this stay — mainly because the hotel is so often described in reviews as “excellent” or even “exceptional.” Unfortunately, that was very far from our experience. I guess this really shows how different everyone’s expectations can be.
To be fair, there are a couple of positives:
• The front desk staff were friendly and polite
• The location is convenient, close to the pier and shoreline, which is nice for walking around downtown
However, everything else felt extremely outdated.
The rooms were dark, cold, and heavy, with a noticeable smell of old smoke lingering in the space. The interiors look like they haven’t been refreshed in decades — layers of wear and dirt sealed over time rather than properly addressed.
The design feels completely mismatched for a hotel today — almost like a teenage boy’s room from 30 years ago. It’s hard to describe, but it doesn’t feel intentional or curated — more like a long series of do-it-yourself choices without a clear vision.
What was most disappointing is the disconnect between the reviews and reality. Based on how highly rated this hotel is, we expected something completely different. Experiencing this in person was honestly a shock.
This property desperately needs a major makeover and, ideally, a professional design and renovation team. Right now, it feels like a place that’s been patched together over the years rather than thoughtfully maintained.
For us, this stay was a lesson in being much more cautious about trusting glowing reviews alone. We wouldn’t return, and we’d recommend others manage their expectations carefully.
- sarahgA6476MD (10/5): Lively, fun, clean, cute. Great location. - Very cute and lively place. Downstairs dining was excellent.
- marinacX7554LW (10/5): The Hollander, The hidden gem of St. Pete - The Hollander is that hidden gem everyone wants to find in a city. The staff is amazing, from Greg in housekeeping to Will at the front desk; all the staff are great.
I highly recommend the Hollander Hotel to all of my friends. It's just a really cool place!!
- C3008KPlaurenm (10/5): Great stay - Our stay at the Hollander was great! The pool and rooms were well kept and drinks were great but what made our stay even better was the staff. The staff was so helpful, especially Jeff at the front desk and Natalie who hand wrote suggestions of what to do during our time here. Great location as well. Highly recommend!
- ToniT1079 (10/5): Great Dinner on NYE With No upcharge - Our group of 10 enjoyed a standard menu meal at 6pm prior to our 8pm event on New Years Eve with no NYE mark up. KAYLA provided attentive service and met our request for separate checks for couples. The mediterranean grouper swam in a thick read sauce--delicious! The salad with walnuts and blue cheese was adorned with grilled grouper. Several ordered the chicken parmeasan which was crisp and flavorful. The speciality drink menu is holiday punny and flavorful.
The venue includes a hotel, restaurant, and tiny coffee shop packed with pastries. The signs on the pastries are hard to read.
This hotel sits off the main drag yet is close to museums, attractions, and nightlife of Downtown St Pete known as DTSP.
The cozy ambiance here offers no background music but rather holiday conversation even with several TVs showing the bowl games.
The venue is accessible to the lobby with cozy sitting area, pool area, restaurant, full bar, and coffee shop with medium weight doors. Tables are accessible with high top seating at the full bar and in coffee shop.
Menus are printed on black background with white letters, and some chalkboard menus for a few items, all readable.
two accessible restrooms offer 2 grab bars, and 5ft x 7ft space.
Accessible free parallel parking in street for 2 hours free between 6am and 11pm. Accessible pay by app parking also available.
- Rome314 (10/5): Very very pleasant place to stay. Excellent hospitality. - Excellent value. Very comfortable. Not luxury, just nice. Very welcoming and comfortable. Clean, neat. Restaurant is amazingly good. Front porch very nice to sit outside. Don’t be surprised by basic rooms and bathrooms. Everything clean, comfortable, and just works. Easy to get to everywhere you might want to get. Save your money to eat and play in St Petersburg. Stay here. You will be happy.
- Dream556472 (10/5): Pool paradise - The location was great. The atmosphere was wonderful. The rooms were comfortable. The value was perfect. It was very clean. The restaurant was amazing. The staff was friendly and tentative, especially Will Herring he really went the extra mile to make our stay perfect. I rarely left the pool. It was nice to have staff waiting on you hand and foot while you lay out in the sunshine.
- Explorer60040487521 (10/5): Love it!!! - I greatly enjoyed my time. The bar was amazing and I loved the restaurant, if you stay at The Hollander please make sure to try the capris pasta salad.
- Dream17144894999 (10/5): Hollander Hotel review - I stayed at Hollander hotel & I had a terrific experience. The hotel is gorgeous, neat and rich in character and the location was ideal to cover the area. The staff was what contributed to this being a 5-star stay. All of the individual employees were friendly and accommodating as well as sincerely willing to help. They also made an extra effort to ensure that we are relaxed and enjoying our stay with them We had a room that was clean and comfortable. The restaurant and the pool area made an excellent environment to have fun and unwind. I can strongly suggest the Hollander Hotel to any tourist in St. Petersburg. The experience could not have been any better it was five stars
- Sherpa05195443630 (10/5): Loved my experience - Will and his team were super helpful and pleasant to be around. I 100% recommended staying at The Hollander if you’re coming down to St Petersburg.
- B5628CPamberb (10/5): Hollander has my heart - The Hollander is so charming! From Will’s excellent service and kindness to the cozy, clean, and comfy rooms, our experience was amazing!
- johncopelan (10/5): Came as a guest, left feeling like family! - The accommodations were amazing! The people were the best! I’ve never had the pleasure of such attentive, personal, and friendly hospitality anywhere else! Getting to know the staff was an experience that will bring me back! The first visit of many more to come! I left feeling like family!
- F3887BGbillb (10/5): Amazing experience!!! - Absolutely the Best service ever! Management and staff go out of their way to make your stay Special! Definitely going back
- K3116LXpaulc (10/5): Outstanding St Pete Botique Hotel. - Outstanding!! Chris the GM and his entire staff hit it out of the park on every point - rooms were a tad small along with BR but short of that it was clean and I mean clean. Housekeeping was on point every day and we were there 6 days. Tap Room food and drink and the bakery were top shelf. The pool area the lobby all had a great vibe and the customer service was delightful. Highly recommend this boutique and its great location. Free parking to boot - 9 stars out of 10. Bravo Chris and Team.
- Wander56137555789 (10/5): Fab boutique hotel - we stayed at this wonderful hotel from 7th to 14th November ,part of a 3 week tour of Florida for my husbands 60th.
The hotel was fantastic, the staff were really friendly, the food was excellent and great beer choices also beautifully decorated. No Tourist tax and free parking and water.
The hotel even gave us a bottle of bubbles to celebrate my husbands birthday.
would use this hotel again
- lesfleurs (4/5): It’s Campy and Unchic - Built in the 1930’s, the Hollander is still lockedi time.
Rooms painted a very dark blue, bathrooms the size of a phone booth.
I believe they are goi g for a “campy” look with an overly cluttered lobby but it doesn’t work.
The entire interior needs a good overhaul…on the pro side, it haas a nice pool area and free parking (though difficult to find a spot). The location is very good as well. But, that being said, we would never stay here again.
- Q3026KUmichaelr (2/5): Pete the owner very unprofessional - We had a group decided to stay here to celebrate my girlfriends 40th birthday and our engagement. Everything was great staff was friendly and accommodating, we got a cabana the following day and had a great time. Everything was wonderful, that night people were screaming in the halls and slamming doors kids running up and down the halls late at night, I even went into the hallway to make sure everything was ok bc of a woman screaming at 2am. This is where I’d went sound the morning of check out we check out and were followed out into the parking lot by a guy name Pete who claimed he was an owner to yell at us for yelling and screaming at each other all night and he had to comp other rooms breakfast, I let him know it was not us that we were asleep and we heard the yelling also, he was very rude and I have no problem with confrontation but I didn’t want to ruin my now wife’s celebration, I reached out the next day to voice my concerns about the situation to not a single reply. We work in the hospitality industry and still can’t believe how an “owner” would treat a guest, mistakes happen and all we wanted was an apology.
- E3377ICkathyo (10/5): Fantastic as usual - Once again our stay at the Hollander was fantastic! The staff is so kind and accommodating. My 84 year old mother's favorite "mocktails with tequila" were made perfectly every day during our card games. THANK you and we cannot wait to return!
- cieras0 (10/5): Amazing! - We went for our honeymoon and this place was so cool very clean and the beds were so comfortable! So close to downtown and the piers! We had an amazing time with so much to see and the hotels food and drinks were so good! The little coffee shop they have has the best coffee and sweet treats! We will recommend everyone and come back for sure. All the staff made you feel very welcome and all so nice! The atmosphere brought you to back in the day with the awesome phone booth and the creeky floors it was one of the coolest places we have been to! So much history in the place.
- salindan2025 (10/5): A wonderful weekend stay! - This is such a cute boutique hotel! Husband and I spent a weekend here. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff is so kind and you get complimentary waters whenever you ask! They have free parking which is a plus too. We loved it here and would stay again if in the area.
- jayneg541 (10/5): Stay here - Delightful boutique hotel across street from free Looper transportation around downtown. Welcoming environment and staff. Rooms pleasant and functional although tiny because built in 1933. Pics on website are current. We have a King Size bed, desk with section to open up make up mirror, coffee maker, microwave, fridge. Lots of outlets and charging ports in lamps. Tiny bathroom (again 1933 size) but nice and workable. Again, all kinds of lotions, make up remover packets. They have everything attended to.
Staying here several days. Husband would have liked more water pressure (3rd floor) but fine for me. Only non-bed seating is desk chair. Comfortable lounge with much varied seating on our floor. Can read, watch TV, gather here. Helpful staff offered to add padded bed cover on top of mattress to soften it for me. I think mattress is like a board whereas husband okay with it. Tap Room bar/restaurant is wonderful, great food with very reasonable prices. Overall, we are extremely pleased and would stay here again.
- Climber557927 (10/5): This is a must do! - This was our first stay at the Hollander Hotel, and when in the area, we will definitely stay here again. The ambiance of the hotel was a reminder of comfort and cozy from the 50s and 60s, and at the same time maintained to the current environment of hospitality. Clean in all respects, welcoming and hospitable staff, great bar and restaurant - it was difficult to leave to explore the rest that St. Pete has to offer. Can you tell? We loved it!
- vegabay (8/5): Local Review, Stayed for a Nearby Concert - My husband and I are locals that lives in the next town over, stayed here to experience the day in St. Pete since we were going to a concert at nearby Janus Live. Hotel staff was pleasant and efficient. Actually called hotel to see if we could check in early and they promised us a call as soon as room was ready and we got that call for an early check in.
It is a little older than what I thought, bathroom was small but adequate. Had a room off the pool with a walkout balcony--we were more put right by the restaurant though. Didn't really mind it, but walking out and sitting seemed more like we were walking out to the restaurant with other diners right there. Still nice to be able to open the doors and walk out.
Pool seemed clean, nice and not too busy. We did not get down there to use it.
Nearby Voodoo Brewery was a fun place. We also took a free trolly to Janus Live that I didn't know went nearby the hotel, so that was nice. I would recommend and stay again.
- debdaytona (10/5): Great getaway, so….maybe I should keep it a secret? - We love the Hollander Hotel, great getaway place. It’s a historical boutique hotel so not fancy but full of nostalgia, history and charm. And more reasonable a chain with none of that! The staff are exceptional. Their Taproom Restaurant has excellent food at very reasonable prices. the coffee shop has great desserts that are hard to resist. The pool is beautifully surrounded with plants and cabanas, pool bar and music for a relaxing day. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the St. Petersburg area , walking distance to Beach St. you should check it out.
- sarahsW7455YS (10/5): Look no further ! Simply the best. - Finally stayed at the Hollander Hotel and I absolutely loved it !!!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Everyone including our dog was treated like royalty. I love the vinage look throughout the Hotel. Our room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The Dining experience was perfect, the food was amazing ! Sarina was our server through most of our stay and she is the best. From her knowledge of the menu to her patience while we decided what to eat was phenomenal. Her ability to greet everyone ( including the dogs ) by name was awesome ! I can't wait to visit again. I definitely recommend The Hollander Hotel above any other.
- robert (10/5): - Nice for the mid-week off season price
- Catherine (10/5): - I love Hollander so much, every time I come to Saint Pete I try to stay here. There’s not much water pressure in the shower, but everything else is absolutely wonderful and I’ll continue to come back whenever possible.
- Chris (10/5): - This was such a cool hotel. We had a local weekend vacation and chose this hotel. All of the staff was incredibly friendly! The food was amazing and the bar drinks and bartenders were incredible. This is our new staycation location! While the rooms are small, they are cozy and unique!
- Olga (8/5): - This is a nice cosy hotel located in the downtown of St. Pete and close (less than 1 mile) to everything - attractions, restraints, peer and ext. Room was clean. Just a couple of concerns: Musty smell and very! crowded parking.
- GrandTour665275 (4/5): Uncomfortable place to stay - This place could be better but has some serious issues which make it a 2.
The good: Clean, kitchen facilities with fridge and microwave, comfortable beds, spacious room, openable windows, usable stairs, pleasant and helpful front desk staff, good location.
Here's why it's a 2:
1 - Guests have to walk through a haze of stinky cigarette smoke and smokers on the front porch to enter this "non-smoking" hotel. Unacceptable.
2 - A hard, thick wood shelf protrudes so far over the sink faucet and handles that it was impossible to bend over to rinse my face without hitting my forehead on it, which I found out the hard way. The only reason my husband didn't bump his head on it is because I warned him. This is a ridiculous inconvenience and liability waiting to happen.
3 - Very dark room - painted deep gray-blue with few lights of very low wattage. I had to grab two lamps from a common area on my floor just to see around my room. The lobby is super dark, too.
4 - HVAC closet in the room gives off exhaust odor when running.
5 - Absolutely no place to put things down in the bathroom. Even the dangerous shelf is too narrow.
6 - So much bleach residue on the washcloth I had to use to remove soap from my face in lieu of rinsing it in the sink that it burnt and reddened my skin.
- Reginald (10/5): - Clean & Classy!!
- Henry (10/5): - This a Great Hotel I recommend it highly! 5 Star
- Marjorie (10/5): - Great location and amenities.
- Alita (10/5): - The Hollander is a beautiful art deco boutique hotel with a great restaurant and verandah. The staff is exceptional.
- Francois (10/5): - Wow. What a wonderful place. Nice staff, nice food. Nice neighborhood
- Jorge (8/5): - Clean, centrally located, friendly staff, free shuttle to restaurants and attractions
- Kimberly (10/5): - Perfect
- John (10/5): - easy early check-in, clean and plenty of parking
- David (10/5): - Really enjoyed the personnel, comfort and atmosphere of the property.
- Lenora (8/5): - Room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel was very cute and quaint and the location was good. I do wish the menu in the restaurant would have had more Vegan options.
- Richard (10/5): - Our favorite hotel in St. Petersburg. Period!
Location, excellent staff, price (including food and drinks), free parking. Loved the pool and the gym is perfect for a light roadtrip workout.
- Stephen (10/5): - Great hotel! Welcoming, fun, very clean and the staff was always there to make your stay a happy one. Highly recommend.
- Steven (10/5): - .
- Sherry (4/5): - The water temperature in the shower fluctuates from cold till scorching hot, they would not fix it. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen!!
The pool area is nice but they would not even let us bring a baby bottle and snacks to the pool for our 1 year old grandson. They need to relax about the pool area, they have a lady that is a mall cop even with our kids!!
The corridors are loud.
- David (10/5): - Lovely boutique environment with exceptional service.
- Kristi (8/5): - We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The people were very nice. The AC units were really loud and we sank into our mattress, so our sleep was restless. We really liked the location and the price.
- Rigel (10/5): - Nice colonial-vibes hotel in the heart of St. Pete. Staff friendly, magnificent customer service. Food, bar & pool are great too.
- Damien (10/5): - Friendly service
- Dwight (10/5): - We’ve stayed at The Hollander a few times and it’s always an enjoyable experience. A historic hotel in the heart of St Pete. The staff is very friendly and accessible. The pool area and restaurant are very nice.
- Susan (10/5): - All aroun
- V7904NMmjm (10/5): Comfortable, close to many things, great staff - We enjoyed our stay at the Hollander. Parking is part of the cost so we able to do a lot and not move the car since this is in a central location. The hotel is right across the street from the downtown trolley stop you can get to a lot of places this way. The front desk staff were friendly and founts of knowledge when we asked questions or had needs. The room itself was very spacious. Our room had a fridge, sink, microwave counter kitchenette and had utensils as well. There was a table with chairs, a more comfortable sitting chair and a large tv. Everything was well kept. My and its me, wished there had been a grab bar to make it easier to get in and out of the tub/shower. There is also a good restaurant in the building and a coffee/dessert shop. There is a large pool with a bar but we didn’t use it it was quiet, comfortable, and convient. Would happiest stay again.
- Steve (10/5): Had fun! - Awesome on all counts!!

- Thomas (10/5): - The best boutique hotel in St Pete
- Corrina (10/5): - Excellent check in. Very friendly staff throughout. Beer selection fantastic. Food tasty and plentiful. Offers on wine, beer and light bites throughout the week.
Pool areas lovely and relaxing
- janice (10/5): - We’ve stayed here many times. It never disappoints! It’s a quiet, cozy hotel with a great bar & restaurant.
- Rolando (10/5): - Amazing experience, a beautiful place good for any type of occasion
- John (8/5): - Nice clean relaxing property. Not too crowded and no noise. Bar & resturant were super. Having breakfast outside was awesome.
- Donovan (10/5): - Staff
- Chantell (10/5): - Customer service was top notch! Everything was just as the description- bar at the pool was lots of fun as well as the restaurant!!! Can’t wait to return
- Jesse (10/5): - Our 2nd time staying here. Amazing hotel!
- Timothy A. (10/5): - Room is clean. Staff are helpful. Good food.
- Liza (10/5): - This is the perfect place for a stay in St. Pete. Our room was large, clean and comfy, with a fridge and microwave for drinks and leftovers. We especially appreciated the free shuttle van, because it was too hot and rainy to walk downtown.
- Amber (8/5): - I noticed a big improvement in cleanliness and service from when I stayed at the Hollander 2 years ago. I did not even bring my creamer because my last visit there the coffee maker looked to have mold in it. This time it looked brand new and very clean. I will bring my own ground coffee, filters, and creamer next time as it's a 16 cup coffee maker.
Happy with how clean the hotel and room was, however, the cleaning smell was overpowering and not good for migraine sufferers like myself. It can be clean and not have a strong smell. PLEASE use different cleaning detergent or tone that smell WAY down.
The location is very walkable to many places but we also took advantage of the shuttle bus available on Fridays and Saturdays. It's free, just bring cash for a tip as these drivers are volunteers. Staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly. Top notch service!
We loved the pool but am a little disappointed that you cannot bring your own food and drinks. They literally check your bag when you walk in. You cannot even bring in a bag of chips or an apple. They do freely give out their own water bottles, which was appreciated.
There is free parking, which is a huge plus for the area. It is very limited though and often you are driving around looking for people to leave for a spot.
Overall, I give 4 stars and will improve it if they take away that god-awful smell that is throughout the hotel. I tried to open up our room window to air it out, but the windows are locked.
- Jon (10/5): - Very nice area for a stay and rooms and environment were great staff was amazing. Even with other things close I ate there every night!!
- erin (10/5): - I have been staying at the Hollander Hotel for years, it is the only hotel I stay at when I go to St Pete’s. I am never disappointed. The hotel is gorgeous and extremely clean and the staff is superb!!!
- Stacey (8/5): - This hotel has an amazing location, very close to shopping and about five blocks to the waterfront path and green parks. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful—everyone had a smile and made us feel welcome.
The property has a nice pool and several charming little restaurants, including one on the large porch for outdoor seating, plus a lobby bar that always seemed to have a cheerful group of guests enjoying themselves. On Sundays, they host a lively pool party with music. It’s definitely more of a fun, party vibe, which isn’t really my style, but it was nice to see everyone having a good time.
Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel isn’t brand new, but it has a quaint, moody style with beautiful furniture.
One huge perk is the on-site parking included in the room rate—it’s off-street and very convenient.
- joan (10/5): - Always a perfect stay
- DOMINIC (8/5): - Met expectations
- Wendy (10/5): - What a wonderfully vibrant boutique hotel. Great location. And so affordable!!! The hotel is lovely. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. The staff is phenomenal. They responded to every request quickly and with a smile. The hotel has a lively restaurant and two bars (indoor and outdoor), which adds to the overall experience. This is absolutely "THE" place to stay in St. Petersburg.
- David (8/5): - The front desk staff was very helpful
- Edward (10/5): - Great stay. Staff amazing. Restaurant food quality was outstanding. 4 day stay and ate every meal st the tap restaurant. Avocado Toast is delicious
- Mark (10/5): - Excelkentvvalue
- Meredith (10/5): - Super cute boutique hotel in the heart of downtown. Walkable to everything.
- SS (10/5): - Great service
- mike (10/5): Fun hotel with amazing beds - I travel a lot and this hotel meets a need for the road warrior. I had a medical procedure early and I live in Fort Myers (2 hours away). Due to a late flight back home to Fort Myers, I was not able to get to the hotel until 1:30am. Some hotels close up shop around midnight. They were cleaning and ready for my check in. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and pillows were soft and not lumpy. Oh, parking was plentiful and free. A nice perk when most downtown hotels charge $25-$50/night for parking. Looks like a lot of history was made here. Will definitely stay here again!
- Gregory (10/5): - Nice atmosphere
- Kathryn (8/5): - This hotel is a total vibe! The DJ pool party on Sunday afternoon is bumping with a really diverse crowd. The hotel and rooms are updated in a creative and stylish way. The rooms and bathrooms are smaller, but the bed and bedding are high quality and very comfortable. Very quiet at night even though a lively hotel in the evening. I will return!
- Erica (10/5): - Super friendly staff
- Yerays (6/5): - Was good but it’s an old building.
- Lynn (10/5): Amazing Boutique Hotel - The Hollander is a Boutique Hotel steeped in history. Built in 1933, the Hollander maintained its originality and has been well kept over the decades. Unique memorabilia surrounds you everywhere you turn, like the full-sized telephone booth in the Lobby. They have an outstanding menu in their Tap Room and if you like deserts, you'll be amazed at their selection of artistically crafted and delicious delights in their Coffee Café! The pool area is another must-see relaxation and fun experience! Every single person who worked there takes hospitality to the top. I travelled alone but was greeted by a staff that made me so comfortable and safe! I didn’t need nor want to leave the hotel for anything. This is the place to stay while enjoying St. Petersburg. Thank you to everyone at the Hollander! Special shout out to Jeff! Jeff was the first person who greeted me and began my wonderful stay.
- Mike (10/5): - we enjoyed our stay last minute booking the hotel surprised us on multiple levels. Staff was great friendly. The place was clean and had a great atmosphere particularly at the pool.
- Sabrina (10/5): - Service was phenomenal!! Everyone on staff was friendly and went above and beyond. Rooms were clean and smelled fresh. Beds are comfortable and room has a lot of personality- not a boring hotel room. Pool was nice and even had a DJ. Restaurant inside is very good and even visited by a lot of locals. Great location to downtown.
