Guest Reviews
- Debra (6/5): - No Fridge. Air conditioner was not on when I got there--so room was 81 when I got there. It was still 77 when I went to bed so sleeping was hard--because it's on the 1st floor I didn't feel comfortable about opening window.
- Steve (2/5): - I could not check in because the clerk never showed up to check us in. 2 hours at least with two trips to the site and 3 phone calls. I could not get anyone to talk to or check us in. I left a message that we were cancelling and we went to another motel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Air conditioning | Pet-friendly | Clean room | Staf
- Logan (8/5): - They really should attach the drain cover to the shower drain. Somebody could get seriously injured. Being a tile guy, looking around really had me laughing at the workmanship. The manager was a pretty cool guy, the room was fine, air conditioner worked great. Never went to the continental breakfast, i did see some little Debbie items
- David (10/5): - Great little hotel, perfect for an overnight pit stop
- Amber (2/5): - there before end of check in time and there was a phone number to call to check in. kept sending the call to voicemail and then had to drive 30min to a different hotel
- Verified traveler (4/5): Enough said - I called property a couple hours before arrival to confirm with hotel. During our conversation he asked me to cancel with hotels.com and book through him. I quickly said NO! When I arrived on property i had to bang on door that was in office. When whoever he is was polite. After getting my key and entering room I noticed it was cold. I located a space heater to plug in to warm room. The bathroom colder than my room. I unplugged heat to go to plug it in bathroom. The plug in doesn’t work! Toilet was so low a 5year old could sit down and feet touch floor! The tv had digital interference and could only play half of program! At bedtime i needed two more pillows for my wife. Went up to office. Went in and …again…had to knock on the door. I asked for two pillows and when he came back with only one. Needless to say but … I WILL NOT stay at that property ever again!!!
- David (8/5): Oldie and Pretty Goodie - This motel is more than 70 years old. The owners have made significant upgrades to a very old motel. Room looks nice upon entry and it was impeccably clean. The bed was possibly the best i have encountered in years. What you cant change are 2 foot by 2 foot showers, and a lack of heating controls during the cold months. It's an old central baseboard heating system for the whole operation. Staff was helpful and pleasant. This motel is a good budget option, but its still very old.
- RONALD (8/5): - Very friendly people
- Curtis (10/5): - Sounds silly but the hot water and water pressure was excellent. Room and linen were both clean. Definitely worth it for the price.
- shelby (6/5): Not bad for a low cost stay - I was running late and clerk called to see when i would arrive as it was close to midnight rooms nee wall and floor repair toilet broke very small shower
- Charles (6/5): - This motel is coming around. They are slowly renovating and the new manager is WAY better than the last manager and seems to be working hard to make improvements. He was accommodating and helpful whenever we needed anything. The place still needs work but for our need for just a reasonable place to sleep for two nights, all works well. We also like the ability to have rooms together at one end for our twice annual event.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We had a room with two double beds and one of the bedsheets was very obviously not washed. The shower was really short and never got hot. The toilet was also incredibly short and the lid was detaching from the seat and exposing some rusty screws. There was a bunch of dead flies on the floor and even more flying around. The AC worked really well and the one clean bed was surprisingly comfortable. Overall, if it wasn’t a family emergency, I wouldn’t have stayed here, and I don’t plan on staying here ever again.
- Denise (6/5): - It was after midnight before we checked in. The night clerk had been asleep and didn’t say much. I had reserved a queen bed but was told he had none left so received 2 double beds. Property was older and appeared to have upgrades to it. The bathroom had no toilet paper, trash in the bathroom trashcan, hair on the floor and in shower. Luckily the beds appeared clean, although stains on the sheets. Disappointed since reviews had said it was more than what we got.
- Johnnetta (10/5): - They had a property puppy
- Haley (10/5): - It’s was an amazing stay definitely we will be staying here again me and my hubby stayed here and it was amazing and it’s right down the road from Walmart and by a nice Mexican restaurant so yes we will be come back to stay at this hotel
- Theresa (10/5): - The owners were great,very nice!!
- Stephanie (10/5): - My husband and I always stay here when we come to town to visit family The owners are nice and take better care of it than the previous owners it was under another name then and I refused to to stay there The new owners definitely make it a better place so quiet and relaxing We stay a week at a time
- Raymond (2/5): - There wasn't anything good about my stay! The staff was very rude and hateful. I asked for extra towels and extra pillows the staff member stated really you are that dirty that you need extra towels. I will not be going back there. There also was bugs all over floor dead and stuff spilled on counters.
- Sonja (6/5): - Shower head would pop off every time turn shower on full strength. Bed was horrible. No one in office. Says comp breakfast but didn’t even have coffee
- John (10/5): - Quick easy check-in, friendly staff
- Seth (2/5): - Run down
- Betty (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and nice
- Justin (10/5): - I like staying here. Right next to a nice place to eat very friendly staff
- Teresa (2/5): - It was close to where we needed to be.bad because mattress and mattress cover was warm and dirty smelt like man sweat. Paper off walls skirting had body fluids on it . Bath room was clean. It could use some maintenance and deep cleaning big time. Ya get what ya pay for. Won’t stay again.
- Jeffry F (8/5): 1955 Studebaker belongs out front. - Desk clerk who checked me in was great. I would feel very comfortable parking my 1955 Studebaker in front of this property because that is about when it was built. They are doing their best, but it is outdated.
But there again the price was right. take your pick.
- Marchele (8/5): - Simple and comfortable, bed was nice, shower was hot and it was quiet.
- Alan (8/5): - This is an older motel and is being renovated. Short walking distance to food.
- boudjemaa (4/5): - Chambre pas vraiment Propre, des cafards dans la salle de bain, et la chambre.le prix je trouve que c'est vraiment cher par rapport à la qualité. Le carlage est cassé dans la chambre et Les toilettes.
- Adam (10/5): - Room was clean ac was cold and the shower was hot
- Gloria (8/5): - Location was good and we had a good stay…
- Teresa (8/5): - Service is excellent not the newest but still in very good shape and clean
- Francis (6/5): - It was clean well maintained….bed wasn’t much but otherwise ok
- Justin (6/5): - It was definitely not what I thought it would be by the advertisement
- Alvin (6/5): Average - The stay was average to just below. We had to visit the office to get supplies that should have been in the room.
- Jakob (8/5): - Stopped to sleep. Simple and clean. All that’s needed.
- Shirley (10/5): - Staff was very nice, room was clean and comfortable, had a great stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The stay was very good. The service was friendly, the room was clean, and the surroundings were quiet. I would definitely return.
- Emanuel (2/5): - Dld not car for the serviceor place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everyone there was so very nice and helpful. When I locked myself out of my room, the gentleman was quick to unlock my door. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I had a nice stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had my own little Keurig in my room, super comfy bed, ac worked great! Very clean and neat, friendly staff!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property was clean, friendly staff. Small room, but clean and sufficient for a one night stay.
- Lennie (6/5): Solid with areas of opportunity for improvement. - Front desk was a great experience. Surroundings are peaceful with plenty of parking. The only issue was the room itself. Stayed in room 207, and the door is not leveled to be sealed shut w/o exposure. Flies got in often throughout my one night stay, which made it an unpleasant experience. Unable to charge electronic devices unless room light by the front door remains on.
- Gary (6/5): Adequate - Rather expensive for what it was
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Well would not recommend but had a good laugh. First thing my husband did was go to Wal-Mart and buy a light switch cover because he was worried we would get shocked turning on the bathroom light. Asked for ice and got a small baggy that only filled one cup. No place to hang clothes or put toiletries. Didn't smell too bad after lighting candles. Sheets were clean and we basically only slept and showered there or would have left.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The motel was adorable. The manger was super nice. The room was really clean. Even down to the kurig coffee maker in room. Ive stayed at many hotels. The coffee makers never work. And some hotels don't even make the coffee that's in the lobby. I was provided with plenty of K-cups. And even the coffee maker was immaculate. I dont believe that the other hotels bother to clean them. When I go to visit again that's exactly where I'm staying. It was a great experience.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The parking driveway was full of huge pot holes, there were cigarette butts in piles several places on the sidewalk, the benches outside could not be set on fir all the bird droppings, Inside we sat down our stuff went to dinner came back to everything full of ants. No heat adjustment in room and office closed after 10 would not answer phone. Air conditioning leaked so bad big crack in wall that had been painted over looked gross, no ice machine only little bags (and I mean like cup size) bags of ice available in office that closes at 10. We will not be staying there again.
- USer3 (2/5): - Bad electrical wiring.....bad condition of hotel. I had a charger stop working at this hotel overnight which at the touch nearly burned my hand. Very unacceptable.
- Ron (10/5): - Very helpful staff
- John (10/5): - friendly and helpful, clean and quite.
- Chris (10/5): Good place to stay - Nice place near a Mexican restaurant
- Verified traveler (4/5): A Trip Back in Time to a Prairie View motor lodge - It's a tiny strip motel from the 50's maybe earlier. They advertised breakfast and the clerk, who lives there, wearing a tank top and stretchy pants pointed to a packaged danish and a coffee machine. To me that's no breakfast. The couple running the place was nice. They had two cats in the lobby and one of them blew chunks while i was checking in. The bathroom was tiny with no counter space. The shower had good pressure but I was afraid to go barefoot anywhere in the room. Satellite TV was a plus. Workspace was ok but nearly fell out of the beat up office chair. The living room chair had rips in it etc. A nasty old tiny window ac unit but it somehow kept us cool from the July heat and humidity. The bed felt like it had a piece of plywood under a thin mattress but I was able to sleep ok.
- Verified traveler (8/5): It's what I needed - TV quit working, but said couldn't fix til next day. Can tell it's an old motel that has been remodeled.
- Tucker (6/5): There were no other options nearby... - Well, it looked like someone started to remodel it then stopped halfway through. pretty rough condition
- charlene (2/5): worst romm ever won't stay there again - no place to hang clothes, only 1 working light in room, pillows smelled like dirty hair and scalp, waste basket not emptied all3 days there, looked at same dead fly on bathroom floor for 3 days, outside trash cans overlowed not emptied all 3 days flies all around it
- William (10/5): Pittsfield - Nice and cheap
