As a Motel manager myself, I found our accommodation was very sub standard, the rooms were appalling, 1 room leaked, as we had a 2 room Villa, with private pool, doors didn't lock, ants everywhere, Manager or who ever is in charge, didn't ring me like I asked, the photos are very deceptive, very old and out dated, we left after staying only 1 night of our 12 day stay, lovely girl on reception was very upset, but i wasn't even offered a different room, nothing. The owner of this Villa needs to up his standards, or i will seriously post everywhere not to stay in this accommodation. Very poor Customer service on the owners behalf. Everything.

• Amanda (1/5): Unfortunate - Staff were nice that’s about it. ⭐ 1-Star Review Absolutely the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had. I booked Awilla Villa for 8 days and it was an absolute disaster from the moment I checked in. The photos online look nothing like the reality. The villa was unlivable, and here is exactly what I experienced: • No hot water for the entire stay – 8 days of cold showers • Air conditioner not working in Bali heat • Toilets constantly blocked due to faulty plumbing (and staff tried to blame guests) • The villa was unstable, unsafe, and poorly maintained • I was told I could shower in a completely different villa, which is unacceptable • Staff insisted issues were “normal” even though I have full video evidence Instead of fixing anything properly, they offered me only AUD $200 for a stay that cost over $1,000. When I requested a full refund, the property gave false and conflicting information, trying to blame Booking.com even though their own staff told my management that the refund was Awilla’s responsibility. The lack of honesty, accountability, and professionalism is shocking. I travel to Bali often and have stayed in many villas — this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I spent 8 days in uncomfortable, unsafe conditions and was not provided the service, facilities, or quality advertised. Avoid this villa at all costs. There are plenty of beautiful, well-maintained villas in Bali — this is not one of them.
• Sally (7/5): Other than the two issues we encountered our stay was enjoyable. - Good location, rooms are large. We were disappointed with a couple of issues during our stay. The fridge in our room wasn’t working and it took two days for staff to fix it. Because of this, we had to throw out a large amount of milk and food that spoiled, which was frustrating and costly. On top of that, we were charged for extra cleaning due to an accidental stain on the bedding caused by our children. While we understand cleaning fees can apply, it felt unfair to be charged for this when we had already lost food due to the faulty fridge — something that was completely outside our control. Overall, the combination of the fridge issue, the food loss, and the additional cleaning charge left us feeling quite disappointed.

Старые полотенца с несмываемыми пятнами (на просьбу принести новые принесли стопку таких же) и жёлтое постельное бельё. Вся мебель старая и сильно изношенная. Сантехника и кондиционеры работают на последнем издыхании. Персонал даже не пытается работать нормально: любую просьбу приходится повторять по несколько раз. Бассейн после каждого дождя нужно чистить — в него стекает вся грязь с крыши. А дорога к отелю после дождя и вовсе превращается в непроходимое болото, так что даже в ближайший магазин приходилось ехать на такси.

We had notified staff and we could not use the pool for 4 days which impacted the kids and we had to make alternate arrangements for the kids. Location was pro flooding with the heavy rains and taxi wouldn't drop us close to villa so we had to walk through pools of water ankle deep. No cooking utensils. Had to constantly let villa staff know about lack of hot water in bathrooms. Villa does require a bit of updating.

• Ming Yeung (1/5): Extremely Disappointing Stay – Poor Hygiene, Mold, and Maintenance Issues - Nothing at all. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Awila Villa Kuta was unacceptable and far from what was advertised. The villa was in a filthy and poorly maintained condition, making our stay uncomfortable from the moment we arrived. Here’s what we encountered: • Dirty, stained linens and pillows, some with visible marks that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned at all. • Yellow, worn-out towels that were clearly old and unhygienic. • Bathroom ventilation full of thick dust and grime — clearly neglected for a long time. • Moldy and peeling paint on the walls, especially near curtains and mirrors. • Old, rusting safe inside the wardrobe — it didn’t look secure or usable. • Unclean door frames and furniture with grime and mold buildup. • Pillows were flat and lumpy, providing zero comfort or support. • Toilets and bathroom corners looked like they had not been properly scrubbed in ages. All of this made the villa feel unsanitary and not worth the price paid. The property clearly needs a deep clean and serious maintenance upgrades. Unfortunately, this stay was more stressful than relaxing. I would strongly discourage others from booking here unless the property undergoes major renovations and cleaning improvements. Set up of villa was great. The service couldn’t be any better If I had to fault one thing. The beds could be abit for comfortable.

The room service we ordered was delicious! I wish i had a drying towel so i could do the dishes. Wish there were something on the tiles around the pool and the whole family and i kept slipping on them getting out of the pool. The room service took an hour to arrive at our villa.

• Rhys (3/5): Would not recommend or stay again. - The location was great. Pretty central to Kuta, Legian & Seminyak. The rooms were not clean and had a horrible musky smell in all the rooms. The beds were the most uncomfortable I’d slept in, they were like a rock. The bedding was not changed daily or even every second day, we were there for 5 nights and not once was the bedding changed. The service from the staff (they were lovely) but were extremely slow, and we had to continuously ask for toilet paper, towels etc. For a group booking of 6, we didn’t have enough towels, amenities (such as coffee, milk etc). The mosquitos were extremely rampant at night, probs the worst I’ve experienced. The aircon in 2 rooms of the villas didn’t work properly, and our group has become extremely sick from them. The aircons were leaking water all of them onto the floor. The pool had missing tile chunks and one of our group members cut her foot in the pool causing a trip to the hospital for stitches.
• Josephine (7/5): Good - The villa was spacious each room had its own bathroom and toilet. Having our personal pool made for a huge difference in terms of keeping cool. Staff were amazing and nothing wasn't too much. There were times where our messages got misses on the whatsapp but all was dealt with accordingly. The in-house water cooler & hot water was a great touch. The complimentary drinks and house wine was a lovely gift. Air conditioning was not strong at all. There were times it felt like it wasn't working at all. It's unfortunate that you can't actually cook in the villa as there are very limited cooking utensils. Perhaps the villa might look into offering this as part of the villa service. The tiles inside the bottom of the pool need entire replacement. There were so many cracked tiles. The pool water was so dirty looked like it didn't get cleaned for a while. The tap where the water cones out was full of green slime & moss.
• Megan (1/5): Very dirty and lazy staff - The bed To far out villa dirty ,pool was green didn’t have clean towels for 3 days we asked for some milk never received it , no hair dryer yet I emailed them before arriving and they said they supply them. Day 5 our toilet was blocked I told the staff 3 times no one came to fix it ,my son got concussed fell in the middle of the not going to the toilet , due to toilet leaking I was so disappointed in our stay the pictures are nothing like the real thing .

• Seto (2/5): - ファミリービラに宿泊しました。 トイレは4つありましたが3つが詰まりした。部屋の清掃員はトイレを直してくれませんでした。バスタオルの補充もしません。バスタオルの補充とトイレの修理を依頼したら、直してくれました。しかし翌日にはまたトイレが詰まりました。部屋の清掃を依頼しましたが、トイレを直すことはしませんでした。バスタオルの補充もしてくれません。 プールは、柵などの安全策がないため、子供が足を滑らせて転落したら、命に関わる重大な事故が起こると思います。このホテルで命を落とす子供が現れるのは時間の問題だと思いました。 まずは清掃員が、頼まれていない内容を含め、一般的な部屋の掃除をきちんとできるようにする教育が必要だと思います。宿泊前に施設の評価を読んでいた悪い指摘の内容通りでした。宿泊する前は、オーナーがいつも「改善します」とコメントしていたので信じていましたが、オーナーの言葉は、口だけで、嘘だということがよく分かりました。

• Raakhi (7/5): Pleasant villas in great location. - The villa has lots of space for a family to stay in. The private pool is a great addition for the hot days. We found our preferred breakfast option which was delivered to us in the mornings. The villa is close to many great restaurants and cafes, as well as a short walk to the beach. The area around the villas is quiet. For a big group or several families this is a good option as you are close enough to meet up when wanted but you also have your own space when needed. The staff were lovely and it was easy to communicate with them and they were very attentive. Each house has great potential but they all need to be updated and cared for. We had rented 3 villas and all villas had some hiccups throughout our 1 week stay. 1 had a water leak in the roof, one lost hot water and one had the water turned off. Some A/C:s worked better than others. Small things like toilet flushes/taps etc are lose and we had to “manually” flush the toilet in one of the villas. The staff will see to this if mentioned but unfortunately they only end up doing quick fixes. There is room for improvement and with some proper fixes the villas would be lovely.

Dirty washroom, electric sockets not working, fridge is dirty, pool was dirty, sliding door for the ground floor rooms are pain to close since locks doesn’t work. Overall villa is really old and not as it looks in the pictures. Almost everything in the villa has some sort of flaw or issue.

• Sharon (8/5): Lovely place, awesome staff! - The staff were amazing! Very friendly and helpful, good location nice and quiet. Beds were huge and the pool was a blessing with the kids. Breakfast every day was in included and we had a good range to choose from. Nasi Goreng, Pancakes, Waffles, French Toast and more. TV in every room and Netflix in lounge. 24 hour reception aswell. The Villa was a little run down compared to the photos on website, no cushions on our loungers and no umbrella. Doors didn't lock in rooms properly and had gaps where mozzies could get in. Pool was leaking so had someone come and fill every few days. But completely comfortable and did the job for our family :)

• Hairy (10/5): I’ll be back - Staff were super friendly and helpful. The Villa was as comfortable as expected . The private pool was big. The kids and myself enjoyed it. Breakfast was served in your dining area. Our return flight was at 1030 so we had to leave at 730. The staff packed us breakfast before we left. 10 star service. Location was off the main road but walkable. Hotel description says there’s a tumbler dryer but it was not included in the room. Fortunately there’s a reliable laundry nearby (hottie’s laundry). Turn left around 200m away. Went there 3 times. Good service.

• Jodie (3/5): STAY CLEAR. Don't be fooled by the pictures you will see for booking - Nice pool Where to start ... bed rock hard. Linen yellow discoulered. Power points didn't work in bathroom downstairs also not attached firmly to walls. Door didn't close in bedroom downstairs so you couldn't lock it also had a gap to let mosquitoes in and also blew open and shut with wind. Power point in bedroom worked when it wanted to. Safe in bedroom wasn't bolted down so you could just lift it up and walk away with it, kind of defeats the whole purpose of a safe. Air conditioning in bedroom downstairs and in loungeroom wasn't good at all. PowerPoint's held together with silicone. Breakfasts were always cold. Housekeeping for 10 nights Was done 2 times? Asked for more but didn't happen. Was supposed to be every 2nd day. Pool never cleaned so flower's and leaves all through pool. Was supposed to be daily clean. So many more issues. And yes spoke to staff over and over again but got nowhere. Rooms were not described as we requested prior to booking. And we had asked same question about showers in room several times before booking to make sure it was as needed but when we arrived it wasn't. Wanted extra 3 hours late checkout reception girl said yes was OK noone coming in our room then later that day she told us we had to pay $150. Needless to say we didn't stay for late checkout. I could keep going. People pay alot of money to stay in villas and you should have maintained rooms. Would we stay there again NO WAY would we recommend to anyone NO WAY. If I could have got a refund straight away we would have definitely moved to another place.

• Leah (7/5): An enjoyable stay. Lots of time to relax. - The property is lovely, the pool is great and there’s plenty of room. It’s also nice and quiet. The property has a lot of potential. I wouldn’t recommend it for younger adults travelling on their own. My room was just off the pool which was fantastic. However it wasn’t secure. The sliding doors weren’t attached to anything at the bottom which meant they could be opened even when locked. There was also quite a large gap at the sides of the doors. We didn’t use the main house bedroom as it was just the two of us, we could tell that someone had been in the main house on the last night as the lights were on in the bedroom. This made us nervous. It’s a beautiful house and outbuildings, however the kitchen needs a bit of work. I was surprised that there wasn’t a toaster, kettle or microwave. It would be good to have a bottle opener too. The staff were great. But communication was a bit of an issue as there was only one person who could speak English and we only saw him in passing once. We requested information on what was nearby and no one could tell us. There weren’t any leaflets or maps. We depended on google the whole time. It’s a short walk to the main strip but a small shop on site would have been good.

• T (8/5): Family villa stay - The villa for a family of four was a very good size with cold pool in a nice garden courtyard, rooms and beds were big, air con worked well in all parts of the villa. Master suite bathroom was huge and the other 2 were good size all with good storage space and good water pressure hot and cold. Breakfast included and delivered to villa each morning at your time request with choice of eggs, sausages, ham, fruit , juice tea or coffee. 🍳☕🍉 room cleaned every day and staff will help you with anything 😊🙏 Only thing was a big spider in the room I asked staff and taking care of very quickly. 😝👍

We had to ask for housekeeping, we had to ask for the pool to be cleaned, we had to ask for more toilet paper as they wouldn't re stock when they did finally do a clean. Sometimes we would be out and they will have gone into our villa to clean after we asked and they would leave our door wide open and not locked. We paid alot of money to stay here and it was VERY run down and overpriced

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Villas are beautiful with lots of space. Private pool was squeaky clean with surrounding garden beautifully arranged providing a very private and exclusive feel. It seemed as though nobody had stayed there in a while as it was a teeny bit dusty in the kitchen area and bathrooms, but overall was clean. We ordered dinner once and it was delicious and staff was helpful in arranging transportation. Only thing was the kitchen wasn’t fully stocked. Just one fork, two spoons, 5 knives and no bowls. Seemed like they did washing and forgot to return cutlery, but they brought it to us after we called. Also, be aware that you you need to bring an adapter for your phone charger, and in the extra bedrooms you will have to unplug a lamp to charge as there aren’t any extra plugs. Front desk found an adaptor for us to use though which was nice. Overall was a lovely stay and will definitely return in the future
• jason (10/5): Nicest villa we've stayed in - The villa itself is absolutely stunning, 5 star luxury. The private pool is a generous size and best of all it gets sun for a good portion of the day so water is perfect temp! The bed is huuuuge and the furnishings in both the bedroom and lounge are extremely tasteful. Location wise it's a little out of the way if you're planning to beat the feet to places but doesn't take long to get to places by taxi as you seem to avoid having to go on the busy one way roads that you get stuck in. One improvement we did recommend to them was better lighting leading up to the place as when you do return from a walk at night it can be a little unnerving walking down the roadway/side street. All in all it's a wee gem of a place and we will return
• John (10/5): Hidden oasis - Great place. If you take bluebird taxis and tell them the address they find it easy enough. The villa is huge and has a amazing pool. Great service the staff can’t do enough for you. Will stay again
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - This is an excellent place to stay far-from Kuta's madness! It is a bit of a distance to the beach. You will need a motorbike,taxi or walk a long walk. I loved the place for its peaceful location. When we had trouble with the WIFI, staff offered portable WIFI to solve the problem.It has a small kitchenette, with a microwave to cook a light meal. There is Indomarket nearby and eating places as well. The place could use a bit of upkeep to the water damage in Unit#5 - before it gets worse!..now it just looks ugly. But overall, the place is very good and will stay there again. Great staff. I loved it!
• Gajer Badi (8/5): - When reach the villa the front line worker not prepared. She ask me to pay for the 3 person. After a long discussion she still ask me to pay. After one hour later she came to my room she apologised to me. She told me this villa stay is fully paid. Second, when I told the cleaner not to clean my room. But they still clean my room and left the walkie talkie in my room.
• Ryan (8/5): Review for De Bharata villa instead! - 2 months ago I booked 3bedrooms D'wina villa for a 4D3N stay, but 3days before my trip I received email that they have to relocate us to their sister villa instead due to overbooking. Its unpleasant to be shifted just right before the trip, and I suggest D Wina to look into their booking system to ensure such thing wont happen in the future.(Seen reviews from others that this isnt the first time they shifted customer booking). We were relocated to De Bharata villa instead and below are my review for De Bharata villa and not D wina. Pros: The villa, rooms, kitchen, pool and bathroom were well maintain and clean. Aircon function well. The staffs were polite, willing to help and their service overall is good. 10mins walk to shopping street and bintang market. Cons: Mosquitos everywhere, do bring along mosquito coil. Water dispenser were left unclean or unused for many years. a pool of ants flow out the moment you try to dispense water from it. advice to boil your own water using the kettle provided.
• Verified traveler (10/5): GREAT HOLIDAYS😄 - This was our first time in Bali- The Island of Gods' truly it is.. The highlight of the visit to bali was comfort of the villa, clean, tidy. Staff here means really well bit I guess some things get lost in translation as I had to ask every other day to replenish shower held and fresh sheets . Other than that great place to stay and would definitely stay here again, two people worth a special mention 1 Devi- front office assistant & 2Aziz- porter these two guys were fabulous and very good with our 2 and half year daughter. Keep up the good work guys.
