There was a hole in the cealing directly above my room, the hallways were dirty the elevator was disgusting and unmaintained I had a really bad and rude receptionist she was of Asian decent. She was super rude checking me in not just to me but other people trying to check in. She was rude to the other staff as well at one point she tossed a key at a cleaner it made me feel really uncomfortable! The rest of the staff were really lovely and accommodating! Won’t be booking again!

• Eli (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay overall, and the staff were so lovely and helpful. - Staff were very helpful, especially when I discovered my booking had been made for the wrong day and was non-refundable. They helped me check the booking.com confirmation page for a change date option, and everything panned out ok. the queen bed was actually 2 singles side by side, with a fitted sheet combining them. Not terrible, but less comfortable than hoped. The room was very small overall and some of the electrical socket covers were detached, which looked less appealing.

• Catherine (9/5): - We saw in our window the beauty of the sky tower. Wait until it's night then you will appreciate it more. That place is quite at night although its in queen st. Good location if you're looking for a quite place but in the center. And their breakfast was beautiful, food was awesome. That's my son's favorite part. Going to lone star for breakfast. Even the staff at lone star was amazing. Thank you

• Tuirara (7/5): We enjoyed our stay, thank you. - The staff members were amazing during our stay, location was perfect as it was a walking distance to the main outlets esp eating places and the little lounge by reception was great. Everything else was great but just a feedback that the bed was quite hard to sleep on, the bathroom needs the fan fixing as there is no ventilation at all and our toilet seat could do with a replacement one.

• Jane (4/5): I will not stay in the hotel again. - The price was affordable. The room was clean. Free WiFi was good. The electric outlet in the bathroom didn't work. The charger plug connected to the bedside lamp didn't work. I had to plug the hairdryer in under the desk, and sit on the floor to dry my hair. The power on this outlet kept going off and on. The bed was uncomfortable. I got a packet of chips from the vending machine in the reception area, and it was past it's best -before date, and stale. I stayed for two nights. The room was not serviced after my first night - only the wastepaper basket was emptied. Used towels left on the floor. Dirty cup and glass not replaced with clean ones.

• Varice (6/5): I love the location and staff are accomodating but needs a deep clean and renovation. - I love the location and staff are accomodating. Shower is mouldy, cleanliness is not up to standard. Needs renovation. There's a stain on our blanket. Airconditioner is centralise which turns off after certain period of time. Its inconvinient to get up from time to time to turn it on because you're sweating. There's a fan provided but uncleaned so better not to use it as you well get all the dust.

Era super pequeña la habitacion, no tenía meses para tomar té o café, el olor en todo el hotel y en mi habitación re asco (además siempre habían unas personas sospechosas cerca, no me sentía muy segura en el hotel), no podía abrir bien las ventanas para ventilar porque eran rotas. El mueble era super viejo/medio roto. Tenía asco de quedarme en este hotel. Y sobre todo esto el check-in a las 15 y el check-out a las 10 que pesadilla!

The property is too old and not clean at all. The front desk staff was super level of misbehaving attitude, and I did not stay due to the fear. I booked another hotel name 'The Quadrant Hotel & Suites', and stayed two nights there. Staff misbehaved with me while I was requesting to give a little bit of early checking due to my wife's sickness for the long plane journey from Hong Kong to New Zealand, and the taxi journey to Hotel from Auckland Airport

• Rita (4/5): DISSATISFIED - It was a place to stay For $224, I was not impressed. The room was a tiny shoe box. Open you door and the bed is right there. The parking was terrible (and cost far more than a Wilson's overnight parking) they say underground parking, they should say "underground behind a warehouse where the rubbish is dumped" no access to the hotel, instead walk up a steep hill with luggage to the front entrance. The condiments to have a hot cuppa, well...., the hot chocolate sachet was already opened and half used, fill the jug using the bathroom sink ( it just fits under the tap) 2xwine glasses, 1x tumbler glass, 2x mugs NOTHING TO STIR YOUR COFFEE WITH, no teaspoon, no stirer) musky smell once you got to your floor, lift was dirty, vinyl floor in lift was lifted, cellotape over the swipe card in the lift, curtain in the room was hanging off the hinge. NOT WORTH $224 for 1 night

• ANTONIO A DE (10/5): Excelente custo benefício - O quarto é espaçoso e a cama é grande e bem confortável porém, o melhor é o banheiro. É grande, o box é espaçoso e tem espaços para cremes, shampoo, etc. em seu interior e aida é bem ventilado. Todos que me atenderam foram solícitos e gentis. O time está de parabéns. Embora não conheça precisamente as demandas e os fluxos internos do local, eu penso que eles poderiam permitir que os hospedes pudessem finalizar refeições para se alimentarem no espaço onde provavelmente ocorria o café da manhã no passado. Está equipado com micro-ondas, talheres e outros equipamentos e utensílios, mas quando indaguei se podia utilizar para finalizar e comer meu Noodles instantâneo no local fui orientado a fazê-lo no meu quarto.

• Chris (8/5): Great Value, comfy bed. - Great value, awesome staff. Top of Queen St near K Rd. Lots of food options around. 10 - 15 minutes walk to the waterfront / skytower/ bus and train station. Comfy bed and nice and quiet Couldn't adjust the AC as controls in room didn't seem to work. Only a couple of channels available on the TV and the water pressure is quite low in the shower. All pretty minor to me but they might matter to you so there you go.

The extra large double bed was actually 2 singles stuck together, and beds weren't that comfortable. Also the shower was a bit flimsy and lacked pressure

A bit light on with kitchen items, the dining table has seen better days, and the kitchen benchtop has two large holes cut out of it.

• Mandeep (1/5): Terrible stay - Nothing. Just location. No ventilation. When asked the staff they said our ventilation does not work . Just keep the windows open. Floor was sticky. Rotten carpet. Disgusting rooms.

On est arrivé avec pile à 19h05 le tant de passé l'émigration récupéré les bagages et sortir , bain le chauffeur était déjat parti , avec des amies on n'a pue aplé un ubert pour rentrée à l'hotel voîlat mon petit coude guelle , je vous signale qu'on fait pas se quand veut à l'aéroport y'a des concignes à respecté d'autant plus quand n'est des étranger si la personne est fatiguer de travailler remplacée le .

Female Night staff member was lovely and she actually came to the room to witness the problem We had a water leak on floor and day staff did nothing. Night staff gave towels to put on floor but water soon seeped thru these also. Think it could have been a major issue but felt i wasn't taken seriously.
