Personalen i reception var mestadels upptagna med mobilen.
Dåligt underhåll av boende.

- Sam (10/5): Relaxing & rustic felt very welcome here - The beach was nice, although there was no breakfast menu the bar restaurant opens at 10 till 10 so was not a problem, The room was nice but not new, very happy with Arcadia resort, the staff spoke little English but it made it feel more authentic, the bar staff, the chef and reception staff and maids are all lovely, very helpful and friendly, Enjoyed the food and the bar, the food and beer prices were very reasonable unlike other places on the island , I locked myself out my room, also I could not open the safe but it was handled very well and was not charged , I would recommend and will be staying here again !!!
7+ brand new rooms are soon to be available
Great beach for the sunsets 😁😁 Very happy
- Maz (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!!! - The view. THE END!!! The state of our room. The bathroom was disgusting, and when brought to managements attention, was told housekeeping could not do today, would do tomorrow. No, needs to be cleaned, so give her credit for trying to appease us, she scrubbed as best she could with a toothbrush!! But no cleaning products, then used the bidet hose to spray all over and around the toilet, again no cleaning products. In the meantime, we found several stains on the bed linen, including the doona cover, and the pillows, and a few other minor issues so it was the last straw. We decided we did not want to stay, and checked out. No problem withthe staff members at reception. They were very accommodating, and refunded us for two of our three nights stay. The address for the property is also incorrect which we will inform booking.com about. The location was also not good. Whilst being beachfront attracted us, access from main street was a nightmare. One narrow lane that one single car can barely negotiate, and a lot of fun if another car is head on tryin to come through!! good luck!! The only way this would be an ideal location is if you had a motorbike, and could get in and out relatively easy. A bit of a walk too. The balcony furniture was like WHAT THE!!! Why anyone would have furniture in that condition still on the deck is beyond me. Should be on a fire heap to be burnt. The little restaurant on site may have been good, but with what we were experiencing, we would not risk it - we were done, and just wanted to get out of there. However, we could not speak more highly of the staff at reception. Especially a lovely young man who bent over backwards to help us in every way. Basically no English knowledge, so a translater app necessary.
- Naveen (7/5): Good -
- Nhu (9/5): Beach right in front of the door - My room is in front of the beach, I can see the beach by thraw the curtain.
Cleanliness is so so
Resort is deep deep a bit far from main road in center
Resort does not have restaurant to serve meals which is not a good point
- Andrew (1/5): Bad - "Would Not Recommend – Disappointing Stay"
⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 out of 5)
Unfortunately, my stay at Arcadia Phu Quoc Resort was far from what I had hoped. The rooms are very old, and the entire complex is in desperate need of updating.
The staff were not helpful, and we encountered serious security concerns—the resort has public access to the beach, which felt unsafe. Our in-room safe was broken, and the bathroom was extremely dated and poorly maintained.
Even with discounts, I would strongly advise against staying here. There are far better options on the island. Definitely not recommended.

- Alicja (10/5): Exceptional - My stay at Arcadia Hotel was a very pleasant surprise! After reading some previous reviews, I had some concerns, but the reality turned out to be much better than I expected. It’s true that the photos online don’t fully reflect the actual condition of the hotel, but despite that, I was very satisfied. The room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The beautiful beach, peaceful atmosphere, and great location made it a perfect place to relax. An additional advantage is the proximity to local restaurants and shops, making it easy to try local cuisine and do some shopping. I definitely recommend this hotel and am happy with my choice!”
- Harney (7/5): Good -
- Kaylene (8/5): Very good - The staff were very helpful and pleasant. They can support you with a motorbike if you require and can organise any additional tours if you require. Really good.
- sabrinaeP3825DL (8/5): Right on the beach. - This is a very basic resort. I found my bungalow (second from the front by the beach- no.2 I think) to be clean and comfortable. Yes, the whole resort needs a lot of work and they could do with cleaning the area leading to the beach a bit more often but for the money you pay, you are literally 10 paces from a clean and beautiful beach- you can’t really ask for more than that! There are local bars, restaurants and spas within a few minutes walk. The daily room cleaning isn’t really cleaning- they change the bins and towels, sweep the floor and remake the beds. I’m sure that if you asked them to properly clean, I’m sure they would. They organised to send my laundry out for 25k per kg. There is a little beach bar when you can get freshly made juices and smoothies (as well as alcoholic drinks) for a very reasonable amount. You can also get a massage on the beach (I didn’t try this but it looked good!) or do a range of water sports (a bit on the expensive side imo). If they invested in the buildings and infrastructure a bit more, it would be superb. The location is perfect. But I bet if they did, it would be double the price to stay there!
- Rokmann (8/5): Very good - Lovely staff led by Lam. Very good pillows and duvet. Great location. The cleaning was not very good and never once was the terrase washed down.
- Mary (1/5): Wouldn’t stay again, the price reflects what u get, when I saw the pictures I thought I was getting a Bargin but you get - View was lovely to the sea but the seawater had a sewer going straight into it a few betters from the resorts The pictures are very old on booking.com! The whole place is run down and requires upgrading, old furniture all scratched, bathrooms need replaced, painted everywhere, they don’t wash the terraces or floors fails with mops etc etc
- Dino (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mitchell (3/5): Poor - Things went missing from my room, wifi didn't work well.
- jot711 (2/5): Disgusting and dirty - This was the worst place possible to stay. Yes it’s beach front but that was the only thing going for it. We stayed one night and found somewhere else to stay that was a lot safer and cleaner. The room I was given the shower was rusted and hardly worked, the tap had not been cleaned since being installed, the stairs to the decking were wrought iron and very unsafe. Would not recommend and can’t understand how it has a 3 star rating.
- Prateek (7/5): Good -
- Stevekrisdsouza (1/5): Bad - Beach access Cleaning staff stole 60 dollars from my wallet. Help me report this issue
- Boldbaatar (3/5): Poor -
- Punnasa (3/5): Very poor - On the beach Construction site
- WillOneill_London (10/5): Perfect Beach Bungalow - My stay at the Arcadia was perfect, it had everything that I was looking for and that was being right on the beach and enjoying the beautiful blew water and golden sand!
The hotel isn't luxury or 5*, however is very clean, the staff cannot do enough for you and everything you need they are more than happy to help!
Wifi is good, super-easy to get about the resort, fresh bottled water provided daily, clean towels and bedding and room cleaning.
I'm already booked to go back and very much looking forward to enjoying the relaxation of Arcadia.
- Anil (5/5): Passable -
- Tuong (8/5): Good value for money but a bit old facilities - Nice beach location. Large garden. Friendly staff. Facilities a bit old. We had a problem with the shower. Location right next to a polluted stream.
- Tv (5/5): Passable -
- Ron (7/5): Good - Location Very run down property.
- Learner51 (8/5): Great budget beach bungalow - I have to agree with whomever said this place has seen better days however we found the bungalows that are available are huge, clean, and right on the beach. (we did ask to see one before we booked. ) The staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Some more than others as is true everywhere. All four of us would go back again. It’s also quiet but an easy walk to the Main Street. If you are looking for a budget option on the beach this place will do you well. (Oh yeah, despite what Trip Advisor says they do not have breakfast anymore but at least G-7coffee in the room to get you going! )
- 610catoa (2/5): This Hotel is a disaster! - This hotel is a disaster and should not be able to run. The bungalows are almost Falling apart, there are lots of mold everywhere, the room was unbelivable dirty. There where bloodstains on the bedsheet and many hair in the bed. Lots of things was broken, like the safe, Windows couldnt be locked, problem with looking the door. We moved out immediately, even We had paid for 4 nights.
- Olav (1/5): Bad -
- Jeffrey (9/5): Perfect - if you are seeking a value-oriented, quiet getaway in a tropical resort environment. - The staff was AMAZING! They could not have been nicer or more accommodating to my needs. My room was 100 meters from the beach with wide, uninterrupted vistas of the beach and the magical sunsets. It was truly a dream come true to wake up each day enjoying the beauty of the panorama...especially the sunsets.
From almost one month of staying there, I came to appreciate and enjoy the Vietnamese people and culture. While seemingly very stoic and conservative at first, they did warm up to me over time and I found them to be sincerely caring and friendly. I am traveling through Southeast Asia currently to find a landing spot for more long-term living. I plan to return to Phu Quoc and hope to stay in the very same room I had at Arcadia for a 3-6 month stay later this year. That is how much I fell in love with the magical environment that is tailor-made for me. Caution: it is not for everyone...but it was perfect for me. There is no question that the property needs increased maintenance. That said, it was clear from my tour of the surrounding beach front hotels that COVID caused vast destruction to the resort and tourism industry in this area, and they are more slow to recover than say are Thailand or Bali.
I saw many beautiful hotels still shuttered...awaiting a more fervent return of tourism. So, I could very much understand where the current economics of the area present major challenges for the proprietors. They may have only 25% of their units rented out at any one time, but have to present a full staff to maintain the property and provide the needed services to its clientele at a minimum level. And that is how I perceive the property being maintained currently. It could use a very large infusion of cash to bring the exterior of the buildings to a more desirable presentation. Hopefully, with a full return of the tourist trade, they will be able to make these important investments down the road.
- Tra (5/5): Hope everything can be upgraded next time - The location and price for sea view bungalow Nice view and big room but low quality on management and maintenance.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ikue (8/5): Very good -
- E5130VIjimw (8/5): Excellent budget option for beachfront bungalows - From your first look it’s clear that this place has seen better days. About half of the bungalows are in such a state of disrepair that they are unusable. But the bungalows that are available are huge, clean, and bang on the beach. Add to that a staff that is attentive and friendly. If you are looking for a budget option on the beach this place will do you well.
Oh yeah, the beds are soft with fluffy duvets, a rarity in Vietnam.
- Paul (2/5): Disappointing. - location probably to many things to list. When booking, the photos must have been from when it was new and is a huge misrepresentation on the properties current connection. dirty, much damage in the room and facilities. When I mentioned some issues they told me I booked with you and to take it up with you, so I said, ok, l will. when they noticed me taking pictures, they offered me a different room which was ok but a lesser room than the one I booked, when I asked for a refund of the difference they said no. The staff were not friendly and also when I mentioned that the property had all beautiful pictures, the reply was, that’s just for marketing. there are many other things I could say but in my opinion you should delist them from Booking.com as their misrepresentation reflects on you as I expect your platform to be honest in what your marketing for your clients.
- Trung (8/5): Very good -
- Nguyen (1/5): Bad -
- Franklin (3/5): I would never ever stay at that property again at least if they do fix whatever damage of the the bongo low or rooms - nothing at all anymore I didn’t like anything at all anymore I stay 1 time in that property in 2018 and that property was nice and clean back to then but now after COVID-19 it’s seem like they don’t do any maintenance to the property now its all destroyed and many termite in the bongo low I stayed with my family shower was dirty and the front door was heavy to close and the bathroom door gave me hard time to open it the beach is not clean as used to be back to 2018 and the floor looked all messed up as well I got to used my sandals to walk inside of that bongo low
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- Garry (5/5): Liked the location but the resort looked very tired - Beach Restaurant not open
- Soun (5/5): Passable -
- Helly (10/5): Good place - Place right on the beach
The girl at front desk is very nice and helpful, seems like she did a multiple jobs there :)
- Tung (1/5): Terrible - The room was dirty and stink. Nothing like the picture was describe. We left pretty early since we cant sleep in that dirty room. Totally a scam.
- Helen (1/5): Don't stay here. - Nothing Filthy mosquito infested reception area. The overwhelming odor of rotten, moldy wood. Gecko poo on the bed linen. Wardrobe falling off the wall. Dirty bathroom. Ancient towels.
- Omari (1/5): From what I was told, the owner wants to sell the hotel and refuses to do any renovations, therefore everything is outda - Stay away from this hotel! This hotel was not what was pictured or what I booked and they refused to refund my money. This hotel kept my money and the staff took my key back and I never stayed one night of a 3 night stay. Stay away from this hotel! This was the worse hotel service I have ever received traveling. Upon arriving to this hotel the initial room was nothing like the pictures (door didn’t close, maintenance was installing lights that were broke, bugs on the floor and all furniture was outdated). The floor had problems and instead of redoing the floor the hotel simply taped over it. They then changed me to a room with the same problems. Everything in the room including the bathroom was extremely dirty (towel racks were falling off the wall). I informed the hotel that the room was not what I booked and requested a refund. The staff couldn’t speak English and asked me to contact Booking.com for a refund. The hotel was sent the request but they refused to refund my money.
- Sophiama123 (2/5): Disappointed - This place have a very nice beach just in front. But it's very dirty, inside the room and the garden, the beach full of trash and leafs, no maintanance. The restaurant is not opening in March 2022. In the room TV is broken, no HOT WATER at night time, and when we called the staff they says "wait until tomorrow". The staff is super "USEFULL", they are on the phone all the time and don't even carry luagege for guess or even say hi when we arrived. They are not friendly and bring the welcome atmostphere at all.
FOR SURE WE WILL NOT COME BACK
- 801b_nl (2/5): This place does not deserve any star - The room super dirty and lack of maintenance. dirt everywhere. Room is very smelly and small, i opened the windows since i got to the room. At first, i book dormitory but on Agoda, it is said 1 single bed, they did not mention a bunkbed at all, i have to paid for upgrade fee to get a single room. When I told the receptionist i want to cancel the stay, she does not show any gestures that want to help customer. She gave me the number of the manager as she is off on Sunday. I tried to call and texted but no one answer. This resort does not deserve for any star. Very pity that they got a beautiful beach and convenient location but the owner doesn’t care about the operation.
- 77trevorg (2/5): Great location, but... - We have been to Arcadia Resort three times in the past and were blown away by the customer service, ambiance and location. Sadly, everything has changed. No-one seems to care about the property, and it is becoming very run down and taken advantage of. Although a prime beach location, no-one from the resort cleaned the beach or grounds, set up the lounge chairs on the beach, or emptied the garbage. We asked several employees to empty the overflowing garbage and it wasn’t until two days later that someone did. The beach is strewn with broken chairs, random tables and loungers and looks and feels totally run down. Beach chairs are now rented out so the quaint location is now overcrowded and people show up all day and night to use the hotel’s lounge chairs.
Breakfast was served for two hours only (7-9 am) and it was not appealing at all. Same food every day; you’re better off getting some fresh fruit and a smoothie up the road.
This property has such potential and it’s so unfortunate that the new owners have not maintained the resort. We will not be returning and will no longer recommend this resort which is unfortunate as we really enjoyed it in the past.
- TimAlexanderEvans (2/5): very un-professional staff at the counter - reservation cancelled without noticeancelled my reservation - We had a very bad experience with this resort.
Booking were done smoothly with booking.com but when arrived at the reception desk they could not find and did not even try to find a solution.
We complained at the counter and requested to meet the Hotel Manager or for them to check with booking but they were not willing to help at all.
They did not apologize. we had to move away and find another place when in high season was almost impossible and with a very low standards for our couple trip.
This is grossly unprofessional for a place that seems to have high standards.
- Shelto (6/5): Great rooms but - The rooms are exceptional, spacious with great beds and views. Kept clean. But
1. Only one key allowed per room - makes it awkward if you want to do different things
2. Mediocre is probably the kindest thing I can say about the restaurant
3. It is really a tale of two receptionists- one was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly the other grumpy to an almost caricature level- Basil Fawlty in Vietnam
- JaniceTur (8/5): Beautiful location - could do with some TLC - This resort is lovely, if a little basic. The location is good, right on the beach. The bungalows are set in well kept gardens but the bungalows themselves are a little bit tired. The curtains a little bit grubby, the corners or the bathroom could do with a good scrub.
The restaurant has a basic menu, with no variation for non-meat eaters. The breakfast was ok, but again, no variation. So for some in my party, breakfast was toast and peanut butter (which we bought in the supermarket) every day.
Overall, it is a good place . The staff were great. We were there for New Year, and they put on a lovely Gala dinner with entertainment. The beach was decorated with lights and the tables were set up on the sand.
Maybe I’m being a bit picky, but a few tweaks and it would be perfect.
- 35elisabethd (4/5): Family holiday - We have stayed in Arcadia for two consecutive years. The location is fantastic just in the beach and the staff are kind But lack language skills, training and supervision. We both speak Vietnamese which helps but the lack of leadership need to be adressed. The breakfast is OK but the restaurant is awful - and thus empty except for breakfast. There are however many good and cheaper restaurants nearby. We love the place but after our last stay will chose something else. Families with small kids should avoid Arcadia as there are plenty of electrical cords hanging in the open. The place is unfortunately run down; big anthill behind the bed in one of our bungalows, large holes in the floor of our beach bungalow ( the biggest and most expensive) beach beds with nails stickning out but most importantly the place is not clean and filth is being left all over the place. Sad it used to be so nice. Sad since we have recommended it to many friends before. We tried for a week to get in touch with the owners to have a friendly conversation about Arcadia and the urgent need to get the place into shape but the so called manager refused.
- Pattyisgrinnin (6/5): Great place but rude manager - We are staying here now and are really enjoying the location, room and private beach. The staff have all been lovely (especially a man named Mr King? On the front desk)except the female manager (Ng or Ly??). She was incredibly rude and abrupt with my family today. She was sour and would not answer our enquiries and yelled at my family as she assumed that we were not guests and were therefore not allowed to access the beach through the resort. This resort would really benefit from new management as it is not good enough to pay this money and not even be met with a smile.there are many resorts here and having a nasty person on reception does not represent this resort fairly or make it competitive.
- venusw (10/5): Amazing - Stayed here for 4 nights while travelling around Thailand and Vietnam. It's set on a beautiful beach. Our first room was a superior room but was small and dingy with no lights working. We upgraded to number 35 a huge bungalow with spacious bathroom with all mod cons including shower gell and hairdryer. Fridge and 2 large double beds. There's a restaurant on site, loads of free sunbeds and plenty of shops bars and restaurants nearby. Loved watching the sunset. Used John's tours to travel on a cable car to visit other places it was fantastic day out. I would definitely stay here again. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
- athenaathena1993 (8/5): “Great resort“ - We stayed here for our first two nights in Viet Nam. It’s localed in the Phu Quoc. At night the street outside in transformed into a place to sample the night life and street food. The resort bedroom are clean and spacious. There is a wide menu for breakfast. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
- Roy8169 (8/5): Ok for the money - It was what it was. Pleasant hotel, a little outdated. Clean, good powerful shower, clean bed. A short taxi to the market area. Beach was very quite. Hotel prices for laundry, motorbike hire was inflated, less than 5 minutes walk away, you can find many local shops at much cheaper price.
Overall. Good value for money.
- andrewhng (10/5): Beautiful scenery by the beach. - Best during full moon moment. The beach gets fully lighted up by the moon and with the sea front, what a wonderful scenery. The staffs were polite and able to speak English. Nice chalet rooms and the breakfast was acceptable. This is my second visit and stay at Arcadia. Keep it up Arcadia Phu Quoc.
