Guest Reviews
- Ahmad Faidzal (10/5): - new development around resort
- Ayman (8/5): - Pleasure stay
- Muhammad (8/5): - Nice place to stay if you have business around the area. The nearest attractions are 30 mins drive from the hotel.
- Siti hafsah (10/5): - Everything 👍👍
- Hartini (4/5): Hotel needs a revamp - This place is old and badly needs renovation. Room is dated, water pressure is low, sofa is old, aircon works intermittently but leaks... The list goes on. Service tries hard but the hotel's glory days are long over.
- Nordin (8/5): Moderately Old - Far from everywhere. So it is not convenient. Booking Grab will take around 1 hour to get.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A lovely stay - Overall a lovely and value for money stay. Location of the resort is a little isolated, but makes for a quiet and peaceful getaway. Rooms are old but functional and somewhat clean (just ignore the corners and nitty gritty bits if you can!) We had the 4-bedroom suite and it was great for our family in terms of size. There was an ant situation though, as they came out very quickly to some dried goods we purchased. Would suggest for the hotel to try to remove them, and that patrons can try to place food items in the fridge or well covered.
Fittings are simple and can be clunky. Swimming pool is old and one of outdoor jacuzzi is closed for repairs. The indoor jacuzzi doesn't really have pressure/bubbles/power, but provides a decent warm water soak. Kids enjoyed the slide though.
- Khairnawaty (10/5): - Spacious, peaceful and clean property. Downside is one of the room aircon giving out hot air only. Need to do servicing on it.
- Leeta (10/5): Happy holidays - Comfortable and nice place
- JINHAI (10/5): - Great value for the price. Quiet resort w a bunch of nice pools and walking areas
- Peter (6/5): Noisy aircon and ongoing construction. - I booked a 3 bedroom apartment. Aircon in 2 out 3 bedrooms are extremely noisy. Sounds like lorry parked with engine on next to your bed. Really disturbing to our sleep. I was half contemplating of getting an ear plug the next day to help me sleep. Decided to off the aircon and bear with the rising temp in the middle of the night to get some sleep. The aircon needs to be replaced if Pulai Spring wants to attract people to book the place. King bed is not pocketed spring so be prepared for “earthquake” shake when your partner toss and turn while sleeping at night. A whole construction is happening right in front of the pool. Terrible view to feel relax unless one is keen to walk to the other side of the resort building which has better landscape pool with reasonable view. Buffet breakfast has a reasonable spread. I will not book again for sure until the aircon is fixed and the construction is completed. Staff were friendly and helpful in general.
- Effandi (10/5): Pleasant stay - The stay was amazing. Check in was super fast. The front desk had all the things prepared beforehand and was just waiting for my appearance. Thats how efficient it was this time round. Banquet staff were also very helpful and friendly. They attended to my needs promptly. All the staff in fact made everyone feel welcome by the usual greetings. I got to say that they serve one of the nicest sambal for nasi lemak. They deserve an award for that. My whole family including the kids truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you. Will definitely return.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Good service but old furnitures, poor cleaniness - The check in was fast as there was no queue. Hotel staffs were friendly and prompt. However, the hotel furnitures need a change, old and musty. Cleanliness was poor, moulds were spotted on basins. Thick layer of dust were spotted on top of sliding doors and some furniture surfaces.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Preview with honest - Value for money for 3 bedroom suite. Should check battery for aircond and TV as I experience the problem with the battery. Adding channel TV for kids also.
- yamin (6/5): - check in was fast, room okay, maintenance is so so, but breakfast was delivered to us maybe because of covid19 but the portion is not that big, if can refill it will be better
- eskandar (10/5): - lovely manicured garden in serene set up, with grand malay architecture, a world away from the hustle bustle of JB
- Zam (10/5): - I check in at 3 o’clock and found out the room filled with tobacco smell or maybe disinfectant fume.. the suite is quite spacious and really comfortable to us.. later that night i found a small cup filled with a few unfinished cigarette under the bed and that confirm the smelly room during the check in.. please look into this matter as i booking a non-smoking room and the smell is not pleasing at all.. overall is was a good experience for me and my family at the establishment..
- As (10/5): - Ok Kaw bersih dan cantik,,restoren je kurang ok,,kena sediakn restoren utk melayu style
- Sherry (8/5): - This place looks calm as its close to nature. Understand that this resort has been around for many years. Will be good if they can upgrade the room for better comfort example revamp the air con unit. Customer service from the staff are awesome. Overall the amenities are well spaced out and a nice place to explore.
- Kenny (2/5): - Booked 3 rms. 2 rms air-conditioning noisy and not cold. Can't enjoy a good nite sleep.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pools were nice , breakfast okay / average , bathroom not clean enough / moldy , room smelly that i had to buy fragrance spray and sprayed the room , aircond so small and not cool enough. Had unpleasant experience during check in where the front desk staff named shanton quite rude and gave me the wrong type of room but after approached the other 2 staffs they gave me the correct room that i paid for . Expedia hotline also terrible and not helping. Thankfully the pools were great so we enjoy our brief holiday .
- Jack (4/5): - Renovation needs to be done interiorly. 24 hours shop or vending machine to be provided.
- fawziah (8/5): - very peaceful. lots of green
- Aidil (8/5): - Everything is good. I just hope that the property can add kids channel on tv.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - room layout is good.
Check in process,unsatisfactory.
- Christine (10/5): Wonderful Stay - We really had a wonderful 2 nights stay with our loved ones, we will definitely come back!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Best swimming pool
- hanis (10/5): - kids friendly
- Shawal (8/5): - Reasonable pricing and no comment for the facilities... Family were happy, and enjoy themselves.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Facilities are ok. However the breakfast are disappointing. The spread are few and breads and croissants dun look fresh. Lastly, need to remind front desk lady to smile more when serving guest as they are your first ambassador.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Pulai has always been one of our favourite resort due to it surroundings environment and also the Swimming pools.
The services was very poor. Waited for few hours just for a blanket.
- Noriani (8/5): The GOOD & the BAD ... - Room condition was SUPERB. The only setback was the facilities within the resort. None of the front desk staff was FRIENDLY and APPROACHABLE. Food is an issue for us too as the only restaurant that serves HALAL food and doesn't serve LIQUOR opens its doors during breakfast ONLY. Teenage activities are too LIMITED to the extent that foreign kids are seen playing BOARD GAMES!
We had requested for a birthday cake but was not even attended to!
The other building was left empty but ATTENDED.
- Anna (10/5): - The staff at the reception were very helpful. I would like to commend Hairuddin, Shanto and Sharull for being so warm and excellent in customer service. Rooms are clean and lifts are working. Keep it up! Two thumbs up!
- MAY (8/5): - GOOD LOCATION. CLEAN ROOM.
- anon (6/5): - beautiful surrounding. prawn sambal during breakfast was delicious.
- Nian Sasmita (6/5): Not bad but we will not come back again - No floor towel in the bathroom, wet floor after shower.
The exhaust in the bathroom is very noisy and vibration can be heard from the bedroom.
This 4 bedrooms apartment 06-23 seems to be haunted, my wife was disturbed and cannot sleep well.
- MFZain (8/5): - pool excellent but overall the property need a revamp
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall enjoyed the stay but should not book with breakfast as it is a set breakfast from ‘ Old town white coffee. ‘
Otherwise enjoyed the stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - very enjoy the holiday
- Verified traveler (8/5): A relaxing stay - A relaxing stay where we had a good time bonding together as a family. We played billiard and it was fun as we were new to the game. The beautiful landscape made the stay memorable!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was nice place to relax
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Breakfast time.. need for more space..
- FarraS (8/5): - Love the nature surrounding of the golf field. Toiletries does not include toothbrush & toothpaste. So bring your own.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - What we like is the serenity & cleanliness of the place, the food was good but we very disappointed with the counter staff. Upon checking in staff so careless as not to give us the room key card, only the pool & others.
Besides minutes after checking into our room maintenance crew came to repair bathroom basin & yet still not functioning properly, hairdryer too not functioning properly & water from living room air conditioner was like falling rain in the night.
The place is cool, too distant from any nearby shopping malls. Proposed shuttle bus not only to premier shopping outlet but others too.
It seems like this resort caters only to local people as most of them have own transport. For outsiders or foreigners we are trapped for even Grab, we were not able to get driver as it’s too far out from the main road.
- Mama (8/5): - Love this hotel becoz very peacefull.
- Mardia (4/5): - Checked in took more than 3 hours due to room not yet prepared, room with faulty heater n aircond and 2 times blackout
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The sports central open too late ( From 8 am to 8 pm )
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Satisfied with the view , the accommodation was nice
- Ahmad Hazri (8/5): - Very good
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I found many ants in room and restaurant.
- Jiocelyn (4/5): - There is no room service 24/7. It takes a long time to get a ride out.my requested room was not granted.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had a wedding to attend. It's a nice 1 night stay. Staff was friendly. One side tho, it's very hard to get a grab to come all the way in if you don't have your own transport. Would love to spend time there anytime soon!
- Ahmad (10/5): - They have many pool with different kinds of level for kid or adult..
- dila (8/5): - overall is ok, a bit chaos while check in, thank you for nice staycation
- Susana (8/5): Disappointed - We are 13 guests booked in 4 Rooms. The check in process is terrible, too slow, that’s why very long queue & took us around an hour standing. The preferred bed was not arranged, customer service via telephone cannot be reached. Hope the hotel will improve their customer care & service. Nevertheless, buffet breakfast is quite good. Wifi is poor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - love the place...staff are so friendly and make us more comfort..
- Diane (8/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Pulai springs
The pools and scenery were simply beautiful We also loved the authentic Malaysian feel to the resort. We loved the relaxed atmosphere only criticism would be the lack of crockery and dish washing cloths etc
- Anonymous (8/5): - Like : One of the huge resort.
Dislike : Upgrade the maintenance of the hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The building is old, need to repaint and some tiuch up.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - A bit scary and eerie on the way to room.
Breakfast menu are about the same and not variety.
Room advertised with pool access but not promised. Based on first come first serve. Very disappointing with the wrongly advertised room.
- MONARITA (8/5): - Staff very friendly and cooperative
- Khairul Amri (8/5): - The stay was ok. We were upgraded from 3 to 4 bedroom suite. Location wise was deep inside, away from city area. Overall it was a nice stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - For just a short stay, the room (Room 222) is old and the door knob for the toilet is broken. The toilet have unpleasant smell. The receptionist forgot to provide the towel card for the pool. Toilet at level 2 near the pool is not clean and also have unpleasant smell. The food was ok.
- Mohamed (10/5): Short escape from Singapore - Everything is good and awesome
- AmyAzam (10/5): - The room was cleaned and properly maintained. The breakfast buffet also good.
- Customer (6/5): - Check in time was 3pm but we need to wait for extra 1 hour for our room due to the room is not ready 🙄
- Peter (10/5): Great value, relaxing location. - We had a lovely recently upgraded room. Some of the rooms are a little tired. Amazing pools (lots) in lush ground surrounded by Forrest and golf courses. Breakfast is really good with s wide selection of local and international choices.
- Eddy (8/5): Everything was good except... - Everything was good except for the wifi signal which is pretty bad..
- Davinder (8/5): - Nice n quite...
Jacuzzi a bit far
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The family suite is really big and you can do many activities at the vicinity.
- Maz (8/5): - Nice place to stay and pool 👍.
But 1of the toilet pump not functioning, breakfast so so....
- K (8/5): - I like the resort itself but the staff at the reception. They are terribly slow and do not even know how to serve the client at the lobby...
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Like
(1) The hotel is relatively new and clean;
(2) Rooms came with Netflix; and
(3) Nice surrounding environment.
Dislike
(1) Check out took a very long time. More then 20 mins. Try having a key drop service ;
(2) Poor cleanliness in the breakfast serving area i.e. discarded food/ plates/ utensils not taken away immediately but rather kept by the side on a table and overflowing. Attracted house flies to the surrounding area;
(3) Room 0749's sliding door is not able to be locked. The barrier to the ledge is also not that high which is worrisome if staying there with small children;
(4) The toilet was stuck and was not able to flush. Left a note on the toilet but after room service it was still stuck. Called the reception to get the maintenance but no staffs came over to rectify the issue twice but no staffs came over;
(5) Instructions on the direction signboard can be further improve to ease driving to the hotel rather then the main lobby where the restaurants are located which is hard to see at night;
(6) Should do away with the towel card for the swimming pool and also breakfast vouchers. The listing on the guest list print out should be the most updated ones and the staff just needs to tick on it: and
(7) To increase the number of staffs available. Ratio of Guest to Employee seems to be on the low side.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Honest review - I booked a 4 bedroom. The space is huge. The room stay was excellent although it felt quite aged. I had to wait about 1 hour before getting my room. More could be improved on the varieties offered during breakfast. The outdoor food station can pose health issues as birds can be seen pecking at the unattended food.
- Van (8/5): - Spacious room but condition slightly old. Maybe room need to be upgraded.
- Sulaiman (10/5): Warm and Friendly Staff. - The staff at the hotel were excellent. They were very helpful and warm. The room was very spacious and comfortable though they are a little dated. The restaurant is nice and reasonably priced.
- Desmond (8/5): - A beautiful and great place for big family to stay from bustle city life. The premise has upgraded much and still need to work on it's air conditioning, WiFi and cable TV. Other than that, everything is perfect.
- Roland (8/5): - Hotel is in the midst of golf course. Surrounded by lots of greenery.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Restaurant spread is not satisfactory. - I’ve got a room next to pool. It’s so great. Kids really had a good time. Will stay again for the room.
However, the dinner spread was not topped up frequently. Pricey compare to the variety available. Breakfast spread has also limited variety.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean environment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ok for the price
- Ng (6/5): - Value for money for this price that I had paid for
- Muhammad (2/5): - Terrible services. check in by 5pm, the room is still not ready. Even though check in time by 3pm which being mention everywhere within the hotel vicinity. Had to wait for another hour for the room.
Broken shower handle, dirty floor. Poor receptionist with poor customer service
Hotel staff insisted Check out time to be at 12pm sharp. Already explained what happen during our check in time.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice and peaceful hotel. Will come back again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Check in was fast altho peak time at 2.45pm... they received our request for 2 beds, tidied up our room daily... kudos to d staffs
- Mohd (4/5): - Nice place but not recommed for stay
- Michael (8/5): Warm reception; Room way too cold - We were offered an alternative room to the one we originally booked, because would would have been the only people staying in their second facility (Anugraha). The room was spacious. The view was not good, really close to the front entrance and on the second floor. The bed was comfortable, and bathroom facilities adequate. Couch in this suite was a bit hard and uncomfortable, although in good condition. Overall, it was a nice stay, but one thing needs to be fixed. The airconditioning was so cold we had to actually switch it off in order not to freeze. There were two "thermostats" in the bedroom and in the living room, but even when turning the fan on low, the aircon never stopped blowing cold air. The room looked newly renovated, but the aircon system needs a lot of improvement to make this a comfortable place to stay.
- Govi Naidu (10/5): A stay at Springs! - Awesome place with lotsa activities..Quiet and relaxing environment.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel overall is nice and good. It's just that we were located in Anugraha hotel, and it's pretty inconvenient that we need to call for buggy when we need to travel from one place to another cos we had 4 lids with us. The waiting time for buggy can go for more than half an hour whereas the walk is just 5 to 10mins. So maybe the convenience of buggy should be revised more because it seems like you dont have enough to cater to all the guests.
- Nik (8/5): - Large room, comfy bed and nice ambiance
- Max (2/5): Not up to standard. - My first time and last time here.
- Staff is not professional at all upon check-in. Check-in is not the same hotel, they locator me to another hotel which name Ahagara hotel.
- They do not have basic Knowledge or update stuff in the hotel as service staff or operator. When I am asking them a simple question. Such as tonight have BBQ buffet? They reply Yes. When I when to the cafe, they say they have stopped for two months.
- When to a Chinese restaurant, terrible service. Service staff does not understand, Chinese, Malay or English.
- I have ordered four dishes, and they missed out one of my order. And Vegetable didn't prepare well.
Overall comment:- is I am a mystery shopper; this resort fails from top to bottom.
- Dahnyor (10/5): very comfy - good breakfast but far from the city and limited merchandise from the hotel shop
- Anne (6/5): - the deluxe room that was assigned to me was rather far and secluded from the main building. In terms of security it could be further improved
- Anita (8/5): Excellent service - Excellent service with free shuttle services. The 4 bedroom apartment was comfortable. Breakfast can be improved.
- joanne (8/5): - There's lizards in the room, in cupboard and even the fridge
- Euodia (8/5): Nice hotel with spacious rooms - Comfortable short stay for my family. It’s a short drive up from Singapore.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Resort hotel with lots of green but run down - Check in was slow as staff was distracted and half way thru serving us pick up a phone call. He was stuck Ion the phone for a good 10 mins.
The 2 BR unit assigned to us has no view at all and was at the angle where the next unit's balcony is so close that you could literally climb over. Room is spacious and beds are comfortable enough. Lighting is too dim because a lot of the light points are not fitted.
Breakfast selection is limited. Overall will not recommend.
- dorai raj (10/5): Good resort to stay - Nice resort n friendly staff the but breakfasts was not good
- Eyn (8/5): Pleasant stay - Pleasant stay, spacious room with affordable rates offered by the hotel.
- season traveler (10/5): Nice environment with lots of greenery - Hotels staff are helpful & courteous
Notice dry stains on the armchairs in the rooms. Hope the resort do something about this. The water pressure is Low.
Overall, we are satisfied with the stay.
Looking forward to stay there again!
