I was missing some ketchup but survived without I will consider staying in this hotel when I visit Syros again. It's an old building. guess not much can be modified but still... I was missing some more TV programs maybe..

- Nadine (8/5): - There was a range of foods -we honed in on fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt etc. coffee made to your preference. Meat seemed to be processed. Staff were quite attentive and kind and compensated with help with luggage on precarious stairs. Soap dish shattered in shower when I grabbed at it. Shower was most roomy and easy to use on our trip. Decor somewhat vintage. View of port was amazing from our window. Great location to ferry, restaurants. No regrets. We would definitely recommend to those who don’t require high end accommodations.

Excellent service and wonderful individually prepared breakfast including fresh-squeezed juice. All good. Staircase a little steep but staff moved the luggage.

- PANAGIOTIS (9/5): Η διαμονή στο συγκεκριμένο ξενοδοχείο ήταν υπέροχη όπως και το νησί της Σύρου. - Η τοποθεσία ήταν πολύ καλή, το πρωινό πλούσιο και χορταστικό, δεν ήταν σε μπουφέ όμως οι επιλογές ήταν πολλές και χορταστικές, οι υπάλληλοι ήταν ευγενικοί και έκαναν το παν για να σε εξυπηρετήσουν. Το δωμάτιο μεγάλο, είχε πολλές μπρίζες κι αυτό ήταν πράγματι πολύ εξυπηρετικό. Δεν μπορώ να βρω ειλικρινά κάτι αρνητικό, να πω ότι δεν υπήρχαν σκάλες; Κι αυτό ίσως δημιουργήσει πρόβλημα σε κάποιους με κινητικά προβλήματα.

The family owners are adorable and always present at the property, and the breakfast service is individually catered to everybody's needs!!! Highly recommended place!!! Szívesen visszatérnék. Sajnos a tévé nem váltotta be a hozzá fűzött reményeket. Néztem volna egy kis Netflixet, de hiába adtam meg a belépési adataimat, folyton frissíteni akart. Gondoltam, akkor nézek filmet, de nem tudtam használni a velem utazó pendrive-ot. Túlságosan ropog a parketta.

- ΣΤΑΥΡΟΥΛΛΑ (10/5): - Ενα υπέροχο ξενοδοχείο που σίγουρα αξίζει την επίσκεψη σας !!Μείναμε απόλυτα ικανοποιημένοι από την διαμονή μας.Αρχικα ,το δωμάτιο ήταν ευρύχωρο ,άνετο με προσεγμένη διακόσμηση .Επισης ,η καθαρότητα σε όλους τους χώρους ήταν υποδειγματική .Το προσωπικό ήταν φιλικό ,ευγενέστατο και πάντα πρόθυμο να μας εξυπηρετήσει με χαμόγελο .Νιωσαμε πραγματικά ευπρόσδεκτοι .Το πρωινό ήταν πλούσιο ,με ποιοτικές επιλογές για όλα τα γούστα .Η τοποθεσία του ξενοδοχείου είναι ιδανική κοντά σε όλα τα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος .Σιγουρα θα το προτιμήσουμε ξανά !!Το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα σε όποιον θέλει μια ήσυχη και άνετη διαμονή !!

Staff was amazing, SUPER helpful and willing to guide you. The room was big and very comfortable. The bathroom could had been bigger but it is ok for a small family.

- Kathryn (9/5): Syros a True Gem - Location was absolutely Perfect & an easy 5 min walk from Ferry . Staff greeted us with such a friendly & professional manner. Our room was also available for an earlier than expected arrival. Room 4 had a Lovely balcony overlooking the streets behind the hotel ..which had their own charm away from the Marina views from the front of the building. Also the breakfast provided was The Best we'd experienced our whole trip & I highly recommend the Omlette! Don't hesitate to book this hotel .. even with its quirks you will be happy you did. Please be mindful their is no lift & Yes .. the 32 stairs are spiralled & rather steep. Theo kindly carried my bag but my partner had to take the challenge. We managed them daily but were very careful. Also the shower arrangement is a little tricky as curtain doesn't draw around full shower & the handset / shower head didn't sit securely in place.

- Θεμιστοκλής (10/5): Ήταν όλα υπέροχα!! - Το δωμάτιο ήταν υπέροχο. Ήταν μεγάλο, ψηλοτάβανο, πολύ όμορφο και πεντακάθαρο. Το πρωινό ήταν πολύ καλό και η συμπεριφορά των εργαζομένων ήταν άψογη. Μας συμπεριφέρθηκαν με απίστευτη ευγένεια και μας πρόσφεραν άμεσα ό,τι ζητήσαμε. Θα ξαναπάμε!!

- Hubert (10/5): - Centralny balkon na piętrze, gdzie można uczestniczyć w życiu miasta bez wychodzenia z hotelu, lokalizacja centralna życia nocnego w wakacje, wyjątkowe śniadania i łóżka. Hotel ma stronę schody co dla starszych może być wyzwaniem.
- Allan (10/5): Great Stay - This hotel is in a great location and the service and helpfulness of all of the owners/staff is oustanding. The rooms are a little quirky but that is common in hotels of this age. Our room had a lot of space, except for the bathroom which was quite small. A generous breakfast was included in the price.

- Ulf (10/5): An extraordinary experience - Choose this hotel for an extraordinary experience. However, be aware that the stairs to the second floor are not suitable for those with bad knees. The staff is super friendly. Breakfast superb.

Staff was super helpful with everything including taking the luggage up two flights. Breakfast was served and well made including several choices. 35 stairs to our room due to its historic nature. Shower pressure was poor for the same reason.

- Jennifer (10/5): We highly recommend this beautifully renovated hotel with lovely staff, delicious breakfast. - Breakfast was exceptional - freshly prepared eggs of any type. My omelette was delicious. Also we were offered everything else on the extensive menu by Panos, our lovely host. It's not a criticism but if you are not very fit, you may find the stairs challenging. However, Dimitri took our luggage up for us and brought it down. Also he advised us that if we were staying again, there are 2 rooms downstairs which we could ask for.

Full of charm and with original features dating back to the early 1800s. The breakfasts and staff were amazing. The housekeeper refreshed the rooms every day. Excellent customer service - thank you.
- Greg (10/5): - This gem of a hotel on the waterfront of Syros' main town, Ermoupoli was a delight to stay in. If you want a Greek island in the Cyclades, which is virtually tourist free, Syros is the answer. The rooms were clean and well appointed and the staff service was superb. They responded cheerfully and helpfully to any request for assistance. The breakfast is freshly cooked from an a la carte menu that offers plenty of options. Cappuccinos and other coffees are provided at no extra cost and staff are very happy to provided multiple cups. All the staff were cheerful and friendly and happy to assist with everything. The hotel is adjacent to a large number of cafes, restaurants and bars which operate from early in the morning until late at night.

The staff was always friendly and ready to provide whatever we asked for. The breakfast is justifiably praised so be careful that you don’t overdo it. This family owned and operated property is a true gem. Theo has a great personality for the hospitality business and his mother turns out a fabulous breakfast. People with mobility issues could have a difficult time with the stairs. This is an old building and compromises were made. The bathroom in Room 10 will be a challenge for a large person. However Room 10 was just fine for us and has a great view.

The plumbing is old so there was quite some noise every time the toilet was flushed. Also some “cheaper” construction of the bathroom door and the bathroom. The bathroom door didn’t close properly.

- Grace Anna Marie (10/5): - This hotel is wonderful, with the perfect combination of old world charm and modern conveniences. The location right on the harbour is perfect. We spent 3 weeks there and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was exceptional - very friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were excellent. The only drawback was loud music on Saturday nights from a nearby disco, continuing into the early morning hours. Apparently this affects only the rooms at the front, so be sure to either ask about it or bring good earplugs. Also, some of the showers are a bit small, so if you're a larger person, be sure to ask for a room with a larger shower.

- Rudi (9/5): - Hotel Aktaion is een zeer goed gerund familie hotel. Super vriendelijke mensen die 's morgens voor een koninklijk ontbijt zorgen. Het ontbijt is on demand, maar niets is onmogelijk, en is met alle liefde klaargemaakt. De kamers zijn een beetje gedateerd, maar toch elke dag netjes in orde gebracht.

- Thomas (10/5): Outstandingly welcoming hosts and service. - Very nice welcoming reception and hosts, extraordinary breakfast (prepared to order from a menu, on request due to extrordinary circumstances even outside set hours), calm and clean room, balcony for everyone to the harbour, for relaxing in the evening, stable and fast wireless, help with the baggage, nice and above-standard room and bathroom accessories, comfi bed not causing any problems for my spine, nice location on harbour bay with view of old town. Acustically tight windows even kept Friday night buzz from harbourfront outside. Bars and grocery store next door. I would have liked to have more time to stay, but the week was over too quickly.

- Athina (10/5): - Άψογη εξυπηρέτηση και το προσωπικό πολύ βοηθητικό και εξυπηρετικό. Το δωμάτιο καθαρό και με φοβερή θέα στο λιμάνι της Ερμούπολης. Το πρωινό εξαιρετικό με πολλές επιλογές και ποιότητα. Ιδανική επιλογή, σίγουρα θα το προτιμήσω και στο μέλλον.

- Evaggelos (10/5): ΑΠΙΣΤΕΥΤΑ ΕΥΧΑΡΙΣΤΗ!!! - ΕΞΑΙΡΕΤΙΚΟ ΠΡΩΙΝΟ!!!Ο Πανος μου εφτιαξε την πιο τελεια ομελετα που ουτε σε πενταστερο δεν εχω φαει.Το οτι παρεχετε φυσικο χυμο πορτοκαλι επισης ξεπερασε τις προσδοκιες μου οπως και οτι το πρωινο ειναι παρα πολυ πλουσιο και με πολλες επιλογες για ολα τα γουστα!!Στη Reception ο επισης καταπληκτικος Θοδωρης μας υποδεχτηκε εγκαρδια ,μας ανεβασε τις βαλιτσες στο δωματιο και μας εδωσε πολλες και σωστες πληροφοριες για το νησι!!Σιγουρα θα το προτεινουμε σε φιλους και γνωστους και σιγουρα θα σας επισκεφτουμε παλι για διαμονη!!ΗΤΑΝ ΟΛΑ ΕΞΑΙΡΕΤΙΚΑ!!

- Andreas (10/5): Ola kala, komme wieder ! - Das liebevoll geführte Familienhotel, geführt von Fr. Mama und ihren beiden (großen) Söhnen, liegt am Hafen. Das macht die Ankunft und Abfahrt mit der Fähre sehr leicht. Jede Menge Leihwagenfirmen im Hafen. Die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals - griechische Gastfreundschaft pur. Köstliche Gastronomie beginnt vor der Haustür, ohne lärmend zu sein. Zum Frühstück wird alles frisch bereitet, nach individullen Wünschen. Die Aussicht vom Fenster ! Das Publikum: angenehme kultivierte Leute, viele Griechen vom Festland. Zu kurz dort gewesen ! ( Kann das Hotel nichts dafür !)

Peut être un peu de bruits , mais nous sommes sur un port , donc c est normal . Il y a des chambres plus calmes à l arrière de l hôtel
- Jose Francisco (1/5): Terrible Hospitality and Staff Threatened Me - Location and breakfast Horrible experience at Hotel Aktaion Syros. My bracelet disappeared after the room was cleaned on September 20, 2024, and the staff was completely unhelpful. They claimed to be a "family-run" hotel and refused to escalate the issue, saying there was no manager. Instead of assisting, they threatened me with the police if I reported the theft. I provided clear evidence that the bracelet was on the dresser before cleaning. Unbelievably bad hospitality and treatment. Horrible experiencia en el Hotel Aktaion Syros. Mi brazalete de brillantes desapareció tras la limpieza de la habitación el 20 de septiembre de 2024 y el personal no ofreció ninguna ayuda. Decían ser un hotel "familiar" y se negaron a escalar mi caso porque supuestamente no tenían gerente. En lugar de ayudarme, me amenazaron con la policía si reportaba el caso. Adjunté pruebas claras de que el brazalete estaba en el tocador antes de la limpieza. Hospitalidad y trato pésimo.
- Michael (10/5): Very comfortable stay in a beautiful and characterful old building. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and br - What a fantastic old building and our room had a sea view with large double opening windows. Great location right on the sea front. All restaurants, cafes, shops and bars right on our doorstep and the double glazing shuts out the noise. The stairs are a little challenging and the bathroom a bit of a squeeze.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful location and facilities. Small hotel rehabbed from some other use so there are some idiosyncratic design features, such as stairs that others commented on. Hosts are very accommodating and helpful. Amazing breakfast is the clincher. Would return eagerly.

La taille de la douche mais dans un bâtiment ancien on ne peut probablement pas faire ce que l’on veut…

Le balcon côté rue au calme, avec une autre balcon commun face aux bateaux du port . LE STAFF TOUT SIMPLEMENT ADORABLES. Peut être une climatisation un peu insuffisante mais rien de grave.

- Inspire49889172654 (2/5): Try sleeping in a discoteque - Location and price seem great… until you try to sleep. Hotel is next to an outdoor discoteque that blasts eurodance techno over the port area, the entire night until the morning. Windows have zero sound isolation and curtains let in the spotlights that illuminate the building. Hotel reception could neither give information about the closing time of the discoteque, nor provide ear plugs or a change of room. Got no sleep at all and would give zero stars if i could.
