Guest Reviews
- Estefania (10/5): -
- Kenneth (8/5): Comfortable and clean - It was convenient for where we wanted the owner was friendly and helpful. Nothing really, we found it hard to get to but that was our fault
- Roger (10/5): Lovely hotel - I arrived late, not a good start. Dave still made me very welcome. The room included tea and coffee making facilities . The room was a nice size, very clean, tidy and very homely. Every morning I looked forward to a full English breakfast which was gorgeous I didn't like leaving, I could have stayed all week
- ELEANOR (8/5): Glad to have found this hotel - perfectly suited our needs for an overnight stay. - Good Shower, comfy bed and everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean. Good breakfast - Cereal, Orange Juice, your choice of hot breakfast -made to order and delicious filter coffee available to help yourself to. This hotel is excellent value for money and we would not hesitate to book again. Location wise there didn't seem to be anywhere within walking distance for food or drink though there are plenty of places to choose from a short drive away. This didn't bother us but I mention it as for a longer stay it could be a drawback.
- Paul (10/5): Exactly what I wanted at a great price. - Staff friendly and helpful. Bedding was very good quality. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was really good. Very happy with everything. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.
- Malcjoyce (9/5): - Good location, good breakfast No hairdryer

- Lustforlife (8/5): Cheerful and good value - Very friendly. Convenient location for the Mersey ferry. Good size room. Great value. Comfortable beds. Duvets too heavy for a warm day. Limited breakfast choices

- Raymond (10/5): Excellent b and b. Great value for the money. - This is a very good b and b. Location is perfect if you are going to or have just got off the Belfast ferry. Plenty of free parking round the back. Dave is very welcoming . Rooms are spotless with very fast WiFi. Great breakfast. Nothing to dislike except that there is no lift to upper floors but Dave will carry your luggage for you. As far as we could see there are no ground floor rooms.

- Kamil (9/5): Very friendly atmosphere, convenient location, clean and tidy. Great location, comfortable bed, very good breakfast. - THE BED! The breakfast, the bar, very clean and light, the owner - great and friendly attitude and I assume his mum - fantastic lady, very approachable, made my short stay very pleasant. Very late checking, was a bit of an issue (after 9pm).
Maybe good to find out a method of passing the key, like a box outside with the key code, since the checkin involved the key only.
- James (7/5): Very enjoyable, good breakfasts, nice size room, great location and lovely people - Great location and the owners were very friendly and accommodating Needs a little investment to bring out the character of the lovely building.
- Prudence (9/5): - Clean tidy and comfortable, breakfast was great Wasn't anything going on in the evening, no bar open or anything.

Poached eggs the best I've had for a long time. Very close to ferry terminal. Nothing to dislike. Would have been nice to have a lift but at the price exceptional.

Their hospitality was second to none. Dave even lent us a metro card for the days we were there, even better was the cooked breakfast every morning. Thanks again for the say. Will be back again.

The breakfast was very good with a range of options around the full English breakfast style.

- Alice (8/5): Very good value for money and the staff were excellent. - Excellent breakfast but would have liked some fruit.
- Nicola (10/5): - Great as always, friendly, clean, gorgeous breakfast
- Steven (10/5): Brilliant say across the Mersey from Liverpool - The Liver View Hotel is an excellent place to stay, just a short ferry ride across the Mersey from Liverpool. The view of Liverpool from my room was stunning. Dave is a friendly and hard working host. The room was excellent, the bed super comfortable, the bathroom clean and efficient. I loved the morning breakfast, which is substantial and tasty. (I would suggest adding yogurt and fresh fruit to the options :>) I had a great stay and recommend this hotel to everyone.
- Graeme (10/5): Just a really good independent place. - Great host, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast is excellent and the place is excellent value for money.
Smart TV in the room so I could watch iplayer etc.

- Lynne (10/5): Weekend stay - The hotel staff are so friendly making us feel welcome. It is convienent for getting around, has parking and the breakfast is amazing. Would definately stay here again on next trip to Liverpool, may not be luxurious but the welcome makes it my choice.
- Sharon (8/5): Friendly service - Stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a concert in Liverpool. The hotel was warm, clean and the rooms cosy. The owner was friendly and helpful and provided us with advice on the transport links into Liverpool. The hotel is within minutes of the ferry terminal so it was no problem getting into Liverpool. The breakfast was freshly cooked and the lady serving breakfast was also very friendly…When visiting Liverpool again I would not hesitate to stay here .
- Maureen (8/5): Great place - Dave was an amazing host. Breakfast was great and beds were comfortable Only real negative was the wifi. Even with a booster in upper hallway we lost reception upon entering our room. Easy access across the Mersey River by ferry to Liverpool. Dave proved us with cards to load for the bus/ferry system Convenient location and free car parking off the street. Would definitely stay again
- Jeanette (10/5): - Fourth visit here in 6 months. Dave is very accommodating, friendly and excellent breakfast cook. Bedrooms very comfortable with lovely comfortable beds and gorgeous linen. Will always use when in the area
- Steven M (10/5): - Nice clean comfortable rooms. Dave very approachable and friendly. Would highly recommend.
- Fiona (9/5): -
- Steve Fitchew (8/5): Lovely warm welcome and a lovely stay - Nice warm welcome from Dave. Showed us to our room and insisted on carrying our case - good old fashioned hospitality!
Dave was only too happy to provide information and even loaned us travel cards.
Room was a good size, very clean and bed very comfortable. A great view of the Mersey and Liverpool skyline from the room too.
Fantastic breakfast - we thought the offer of a small and large cooked breakfast was a thoughtful touch. Dave went the extra mile too to provide gluten free bread for my wife who is coeliac.
Overall a really good value stay. We wish Dave, Hayley and family the very best for the future.
We will definitely stay again. Not a complaint but a little background music would be good at breakfast
- Matthew (10/5): Liverpool 2025 - It was brillant from start to finish the parking was ample for about 10 cars. It was 5 minutes away from the Seacombe Ferry Terminal also if you walk up St Paul road then turn right to Poulton road the bus stop is just there and takes you to Liverpool Centre. At a cost of £2 each way and takes about 15 minutes to city centre.
The Hotels is a two storey building but you can pick what floor you want solong as they have the rooms are available, breakfast was brillant you could have any you want within reason, WIFI in all rooms with tea and coffee. The bathroom had a walk in shower.
They have a pool table downstairs if you fancy it
The hospitality was brillant and that nothing was too much trouble.
We have been in over 30 hotel's all over Europe this year including Paris and this hotel was easily the best we have been in and as for the Price so cheap. All i can say is that we will definitely be going back here again, highly recommend. David was the manager a realy nice person.
- Gary (10/5): - Loved our stay with David and his family, from the moment we checked in we were looked after. David was very welcoming. We had an amazing view over the river to the city from our room which was very comfy and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the breakfast, the full english was really nice. We will definitely be coming back when we visit the area again.
- James (10/5): -
- Robert (8/5): Convenient for ferry, good breakfast, helpful owner - Friendly welcome Rather gloomy bedroom ares
- Lally (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful. Nothing
- Jane (10/5): - Lovely room. Excellent breakfast and Dave was really helpful.
- Bekky (10/5): - Comfy bed, friendly staff, would stay again
- Brian (10/5): Wonderful stay - Really nice owners. Great location. Fantastic value. Brilliant Breakfast I have nothing negative to say about it
- christine (10/5): - My sister and I stayed for a long weekend. Dave was very welcoming and very informative about the area.
The room was airy and with the most wonderful comfortable beds. It was immaculately clean.
The breakfast was lovely every morning, with a good choice of things to have.
A lovely hotel which is situated within walking distance of the Mersey ferry, with good bus links to New Brighton, Birkenhead and Hamilton Square.
We would definitely stay there again.
- Sally (9/5): Great but not accessible - The room and breakfast was good They need to reinstall the lift for guests who can’t get up the two flights of 18 steps.
- Brian (10/5): - Its a family run hotel the lounge aera is needing attention but the rooms are spotless beds are comfy Dave and his mother cant do enough for there guest's they are really nice and go out there way to help you with anything they also have Metro cards that you can use for the public transport all you have to do is active them by putting £6.50 in them for the day which you do at the loco shop and thats your public transport sorted for the day
- Sarah (8/5): Perfect for our one night. - Location great for visiting family. Could do with a hairdryer.
- jessica (6/5): - Friendly staff, comfy beds.
- Vicki (2/5): - Cancelled my stsy with hotel but because i never did it through hotels.com i was charged absolutely disgusting
- Chantal (8/5): Prima - Goede locatie en bereikbaarheid Liverpool centrum en vriendelijke host
- David (10/5): - Lovely stay fantastic
- Steven (10/5): - Dave, the host, was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Place was very clean. Free parking was a bonus. Mersey ferry was literally a 2 minute walk. Would recommend here for a quiet break.
- Renate (9/5): Zeer gastvrij Hotel! - We voelden ons erg welkom, zeer gastvrije, vriendelijke familie!
- Moira (10/5): Stand out staff, warm and welcoming - Booked the Liver View a little unsure as the price seemed almost too good to be true, but I needn't have worried - it was absolutely fabulous.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful which instantly made us feel at home. My room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything needed for a relaxing stay.
Waking up to the iconic view of the Liver Building was a real highlight - such a special touch you'd expect from somewhere far more expensive.
Breakfast was lovely, freshly prepared and with plenty of choice to set us up for the day. The location was ideal too: peaceful and convenient with easy access to the ferry across to the Albert Docks and central Liverpool.
We were there just for an overnight stay as we were playing golf at Wallasey, 4 of us each in our own rooms. Perfect!
Overall, the Liver View far exceeded our expectations. It offers great value without compromising on quality and the warmth of the staff really made the experience stand out. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming comfortable base when visiting Liverpool.
- Bettysue (10/5): My star was peaceful. - It was clean, comfortable, and had parking spaces. Staff friendly and helpful. Will recommend.
- John (9/5): A small hotel that gives everything that is expected; clean, comfortable and with a friendly staff - Polite and friendly staff. The welcome and introduction was excellent.
The room was spacious and clean. My stay was on the hottest night of the year but a comfortable bed and a good quality fan allowed for an undisturbed sleep.
Breakfast was as good as previous guests had mentioned.
The car park at the rear of the property is a good size. Nothing to complain about.
- Abi (10/5): Great stay! - The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and fresh. The hotel itself was beautiful and spotless.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable and friendly - Fabulously congenial hosts. Great breakfast. Comfy bed. Clean. Will definitely stay again.
- Katarína (9/5): - The rooms were pretty and clean. Good beds. Nice staff. Quiet and safe area. The breakfast was included but we were leaving earlier and accomodation was not able to prepare us packed breakfast nor was willing to reimburse us for the service we did not use. Hotel seems close to city centre but it takes 15 min by taxi, around 15 gbp to get there. No easy way of public transport. We haven’t found any decent restaurant nearby.
