Guest Reviews
- Crawford (10/5): -
- Christine (9/5): - Provided cooking appliances.
Comfortable bed and easy chairs Towels were the same colour so difficult to know your own
Winter weight duvet. A lighter one and a blanket would have given options.
- Honor (8/5): Appletree - The location and views The walk uphill to get there
- Petherbridge (10/5): -
- Ruth (9/5): Perfect base to explore with good facilities to self cater if you wish. Loved the sea view. - Great place to stay while exploring St Mary's and other Isles of Scilly. Close to all facilities of Hugh Town but in a very quiet area. A very light studio with sea view looking across to Samson and down to Hugh Town's quay. Nothing - all good.
- Bev (9/5): Excellent accommodation- I would certainly book again if visiting St. Mary’s. - Very clean and comfortable. Communication with hosts was unclear before visit though whilst there they were very helpful.
- Brian (10/5): -

- Richard (10/5): Excellent - The property was Self Catering, as expected Nothing
- David (10/5): Exceptional - n/a n/a
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, spotlessly clean and great communication. Thanks
- Volker (10/5): Exceptional - This holiday flat was a fabulous choice.
Particularly noteworthy is the elevated position a little above the church with lovely views of Hugh Town and the harbour.
The flat looks like new, is bright, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean (and without carpeting...). Nothing is missing. At night you can't hear anything except the seagulls. We really appreciated the good mattress for the many nights we spent here.
Carmen is a friendly hostess and gave us lots of interesting tips.
We would love to come back here on our next holiday on the Isles of Scilly.
Translated with DeepL.com (free version) I can't think of anything.
- David (9/5): A very comfortable and well located venue to explore the islands - The views and the quiet location Nothing really....very happy with everything
- Fung (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was bright and airy and had lovely views from the window. The shower and the bed were both excellent. The location is a fairly short walk from the town centre, which should be fine for most people.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Douglas (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (10/5): Magical - Location excellent with a splendid view of the sunset. Carmen was very helpful. It was only ten minutes walk to the quay to take trips to the other islands. Nothing to comment on
- Vikki (9/5): Peaceful, clean and confortable - Lovely quiet spot with views over the sea. Handy for walking to everything needed. Very clean and comfortable. Would be good to have an extractor in kitchen as we couldn't open the window by the hob.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malcolm (9/5): Very pleasant . Good position with views of Hugh Town Harbour -
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (8/5): Very good - Clean newly furnished, comfortable Poor garden space -
- Samuel (10/5): Perfect - Our room was a superb base to explore the archipelago from, when we landed it was a short walk from the airport past fields full of the joys and flowers of spring, and was an easy walk into Hugh Town for food and boats to the other islands. Having full cooking facilities made life easier (and cheaper!), and we spent a lot of time happily sat by the front window enjoying the view. One of the most relaxing holidays I have been lucky enough to go on. Hard to find a negative, about all I can say is that if the occupant of the other room has the TV on fairly loud the sound carries through the walls a little. Otherwise I cannot fault Appletree, it was lovely.
- Stuart (1/5): Non existent and got mugged. - Booked and paid in full for wrong dates. Should have been Oct 3-10 and booked Oct 10-17. Realised error immediately and contacted proprietor within minutes of the error and they didn’t want to know. Took the money and weren’t interested in anything else. Best part of £900 for nothing. Absolutely no discussion- we’ve got your money. Tough. I won’t be returning to Scilly. Been visiting over 30 years. Never again.
