Guest Reviews
- Jasper (8/5): - nice place
- Cory (8/5): - Need non slip on bathroom floor very slippery floor when wet
- Zachary (8/5): - The staff was great. They moved me to a new room quickly when the air conditioner in my original room failed. Price per night was pretty low but they still offered free breakfast for two people. Very cool. Would recommend if You don't need something super fancy.
- Shawky (10/5): - Très bien, très propre, calme
- Ernesto (2/5): Don't choose this hotel - The internet connection and speed was horrible and unreliable. The air conditioner was old and noisy. There was a broken window that couldn't open. The room felt suffocating and depressing. The cable of the TV had bad connection. The heater of the water doesn't work.
- Meher (10/5): - Great
- George (6/5): - Rooms are old
- Amadeo (8/5): - Good, price is worth of what you pay
- Rick (8/5): - I have a conflicted view of Hotel Uno, but I stayed there for several nights & rebooked a room twice when I could have changed hotels, so on balance I'd give the hotel a reasonable pass. I'm traveling on a budget & Uno was reasonably priced for me. I originally booked through Expedia, which I've used quite a bit, and was given a room overlooking the main road, with 2 single beds. The room was functional & the bed sheets, towels etc clean. They provided soap and there were glasses provided. Two power points by the bed, and free wifi. When I wanted to extend my stay a price was listed on Google Maps, but when I asked if I could have another room at that rate they insisted I use 'Expedia'. However, the water from the shower didn't get away & the bathroom floor flooded. And wifi didn't reach that room. I went to the front desk & the young woman there promptly sent a maintenance person to check things. I was also promptly relocated to another room. So full marks to the front desk on that issue. I booked another night with Expedia & no problems. Overall I had 3 sticking points. First, not being able to just go to the front desk & pay the tariff for a room directly. Second, I thought breakfast was very average. Some room tariffs qualify for a free breakfast. I paid 135p for an egg & toast, and coffee. The egg was, in my opinion, average. Three slices of toasted bread sliced corner to corner & some scrapings of butter. My review must end here because of character limits.
- Emelia (2/5): - None coz we're not happy except the price is cheap but the room untidy broken lavatory broken toilet bowls lots of cockroaches. Flooded in the bathroom floor.
- BRYLE (8/5): - I like their simplicity very convenient
- marcelo (10/5): - good service
- Peter (6/5): My 7 day stay in Hotel Uno, Davao City. - There was no refrigerator, which is a must in your climate. And the the fact that I paid for the highest quality room. The floors in the rooms I stayed in were unclean (room 605 and room 609). The shower bracket in room 605 was installed up-side-down, it looks like it has been like that forever. The water for showering was constantly cold. There was no plug in the hand basin. There was no bed light switch, so one had to get up and go to the entrance door to turn of the lights, to go to sleep, I had a torch to achieve this. The curtains were unclean and stained. Other than above, you are in a great location. If you cleaned up the rooms on the top floor you would be well on the way to giving a better product to your customers. It would cost very little..
- Marthy (6/5): Triple A - an average accommodation - Just average - nothing spectacular. Password for internet changes everyday...cant get the logic...security?
- Rob (8/5): Nice place with great service - It is an average hotel, but very nice people, and close to everything downtown
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I booked a room for for 900pesos when I added two adults it went to 1,700p. First room they gave us had no toilet seat. Gave us new room. Same type room. Asked for extra bed, they wanted 300p more. Room did not have enough room for a cot anyway. WiFi was useless. I will never go back
- Evan (8/5): Good hotel friendly staff - Good hotel for the price. Please lift has been fixed since my last stay a week ago
- Evan (8/5): Good price good service Davao - Good price hotel Unfortunately lift is not working.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location is convenient
- Melissa (4/5): - If you're looking for a quiet and nice place to stay, this is not the place to be. Location is next to the main road and you can hear the sound of cars and jeepneys. Toilet is expected to be wet, there's no division between the toilet and shower. Building is old.
Not recommended for guests who want to stay in the room. Hotel Uno is recommended if you're looking for a place to stay in the city where everything is accessible (7 eleven, jeepneys/taxi (transportation), Ateneo, Roxas).
Enjoy your stay in Davao! Don't forget to visit Roxas night market, it's very close to Hotel Uno.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel Uno is very accessible and clean. You will get what you pay for.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Baby cockroaches coming from sink and CR stank! - For the price and considering this was their "deluxe" room (although the size of bed was NOT king as advertised) I'd expect a bit more. Good location for being downtown, however.
- Jim (8/5): Good location. Reasonable price - Great location in the center of the city. Can catch a jeepney to Sasa port right outside the hotel.
- Ron (2/5): unfiiendly staff and menegment not clean - no internet conection most of the time and when you get conection it is slow as (faster to sent a letter then email)
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Wifi did not work. The room is okay for what you pay. The food is okay.
- Sierwin (4/5): Hotel close to business establishments - Location - Close to banks, GMall, Roxas night market, San Pedro Church and other place of interest
Food, Staff - Good
Stayed in Deluxe Room (Presence of cockroaches), Poor Wifi/ Cable TV Signal, no cabinet - Disappointing
- Verified traveler (8/5): Plenty good for the money - Checking in was a breeze. The room was plenty enough for me. For the price I paid, the room was great. I have everything I needed. The bathroom was very spacious. The only thing I noticed were there was no clothes chest, no hot shower and plenty of tiny cockroaches or bugs. I bought an insect spray and sprayed each time I see them. They don't scare me nor bother me much. I'm sure others may have a very different feeling about them. When I called to get fresh towels, they sent them to my room right away. I really dont have much to complain about but management definitely have something to look into.
- Kuncho (6/5): There have a buidings workers working in Next buil - There have building workers ,working in next new hotel building against my room and no good to sleep during the day because of noice!
- John (6/5): You get what you pay for. - Dinning room. A set menu. A lot of the items not in stock. They even ran out of bacon for 2 days. When I arrived I was told there was no hot water. And for the next 4 days. It had been off for 2 weeks already. Cockroaches at least 2 a night. Free wifi if you can get it. I was unable to receive my emails for days at a time. Would I go there again. NO I WOULD NOT.
- Mel (8/5): Good memory - Good choice ...its no grand but hospitality in friendly staff...
- Verified traveler (2/5): - the room was dark...no to lobby lights is better than the room.
- Philip (8/5): Good value - Proprty is older but clean and staff are excellent.
- Eric (2/5): - They require key deposit fee. Small room small double foam bed. 15" tv high on the wall.
Bathroom no seat or cover on toilet. Shower Water was barely warm. Water stains throughout the bathroom it's looked old and dirty. Very dated hotel
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Vwry basic. Saw a cockroach on the bed. Asked for room to be cleaned in the morning while I was out but came back in the evening and nothing was done. Had to ask fo reception again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): No vacant hotel - The rooms are too small, staff are not accommodating. Poor service.
- Werner (6/5): A cheap but ok hotel in city - A cheap hotel in city of Davao. Near to everything. This hotel is ok even if many things could be better. Bus as so many hotel like this in Philippines it feels a little rundown and old. Staff was a little unsure of how to handle online payments. Still most guests pay cash. Bed is ok but nothing you dream about go back to :) Restaurant have only half of what they show in menu. But I should absolutely stay here again. One of cheapest hotel in Davao City. All taxi know where it is. Only 300 meter walk to San Pedro Cathedral. Taxi 150 pesos from airport and 90 pesos rom bus terminal.
- Paul (10/5): Pleasant and affordable place to stay - Very accomodating
- Verified traveler (4/5): Unaccomadating staff - Stay somewhere better
- Verified traveler (10/5): an invigoraring experience at Hotel Uno - It was a great stay at Hotel Uno.the price is very affordable without sacrificing quality service.the hotel is accessible to all places. The staff and service crew are all friendly and accomodating.so try to stay at Hotel Uno to feel the ambiance of a place away from home...
- lewis (4/5): old hotel - building in construction near the hotel and window of rooms, old building, toilet stinky
- Roberto (6/5): Cheap price over good comfort - Hotel is not expensive, so one cannot expect extra comfort or conditions. Personel is very friendly as Davao is a very hospitable city. But hotel is quite old. Room is very simple in a very quiet environment; air-con is noisy. Bathroom very humid but had to keep door shut as there were several cockroaches inside. Free wifi but as my room was at the very end of a corridor I had no access to wifi in my room.
Quality of this hotel is rather cheap price than overall condition. Food is good and cheap.
Nice location just behind famous Marco Polo hotel.
- JOHN T (10/5): go uno - hotel great 2cd time there, staff great resteraunt food great resonble on price, highly recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): Downtown budget hotel. My room clean/comfy - This is an excellent budget hotel, but water in bathroom shower is lukewarm at best, noisy due to location. Staff super nice.My room is a clean/comfy "premier double" w/ queen, with fees & taxes $27 a day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel near a lot of attraction. Hotels workers very helpful & courtesy . Make - up room daily. Hotel Uno also provides laundry services.
- boaz (6/5): Nice ,near at aldivinco! - Nice hotel, good staff and very clean, while davao city have problem in electricity and they are roating in power failure the respond it......but the whole we stay thier is good!tnx and God bless!
- OregonDuck (6/5): Basic Hotel - This is a basic hotel, small rooms, no hot water, comode and shower is combined into one area, food is basic, very noisy location, run down neighborhood. But...the staff is outstanding and responsive, and its very affordable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): try Hotel Uno, one of the bests..... - Excellent!
- KENNYTAXI (6/5): - room lighting very poor could not tell unable to see very dark room .service was good. no wifi available there for 3 dAYS UNABLE TO ACCESS WI FI AND INTERNETT LOUNGE TO MANY PEOPLE IN THERE TO USE THE WI FI HAS TO BE FIXED BEFORE I STAY AGAIN UNABLE TO DO ANY BOOKINGS I WANTED TO DO A FEW TRIPS AROUND DAVOA UNABLE TO DO IT FOOD WAS GOOD
- irvin (4/5): not satisfied with my stay - The room is okay, the location is great. The only that made my stay terrible is the aircondition. It was very uncomfortable sleeping with an ac emitting warm air.
- Birthday_tourist (4/5): Unaccomodating staff - With my arrival at the hotel, I gave my hotel reservation voucher to the attendant and they were asking what kind of reservation I have. But it was stipulated in my voucher to what reservation I got. So sad, when I was in my hotel room I found out that they have gave me a different room from my booking in which alarmed me. That's why I called the front office to re-check my reservation then, change my room. I was kinda upset with the service they have, first time ever I encounter such incident even in my check out, very embarrassing I took more than an hour.
- Josh (10/5): Very good hotel for the money. - The room was great and fast response when needing the room clean. The food service got very slow after about 3 days. Other than that it was a great.
