- Doug (9/5): - Beautiful views, good breakfast.

- Julie (10/5): A wonderful place, very welcoming, wonderful view, excellent breakfast, friendly and inviting. - I had a lovely room overlooking the sea and the mountains in the background and could see the ferry going to and from the harbour. I could open the window, which is a huge bonus! The room was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. I got help taking my stuff up and down the stairs and was able to leave things and come back later after checkout. The breakfast was lovely and the owner and her son were very friendly and helpful. There was nothing at all to dislike. This B&B was lovely

- Louise (10/5): Fabulous views, excellent breakfast. Recommed. - Property is a gorgeous victorian building with lots of original features and amazing views.
Very clean, very comfortable. We had two single rooms on upper floor. Both lovely, one with incredible sea views and the other garden & woodland views.
Great breakfast menu , delicious and served in beautiful dining room with sea views.
The location is excellent. A short stroll along promanade from centre of Rothesay. Nice woodland walk behind street.
We recommend Rothesay for scenery, walks and historic buildings. All great.
Gar nichts auszusetzen.
- Vanessa (10/5): Restful, very comfortable and delicious! - The whole place is gorgeous but the breakfast choice is great ! The only accessible room does not have a sea view but it is opposite the communal lounge which has glorious leather couches and a huge bay window to watch the ferries from.
- Esther-Theresa (10/5): The cutest Bed & Breakfast right at the seaside - Delicious, good portions and even veggie options Everything war perfect

- Cairns (10/5): My holiday with family. - We all loved the family room, very spacious, beds were so comfortable, very clean. Owner, very nice, so helpful. Breakfast, amazing. The only thing I personally didn't like is the stairs, as I have COPD, and the family room is on the top floor.
Everything else, brilliant.
- Gwen (10/5): - Lovely sea views, yummy breakfast, super helpful staff.
- Patricia (10/5): Amazing mini honeymoon. Breakfast locally sourced. Host amazing and so friendly. Sea view to die for. - Original features. Amazing original bath too
- Catriona (8/5): I really enjoyed my stay here at St Ebba on Bute. Staff were welcoming. The BnB has wonderful views. - Location

Hospitality and breakfast Room up in the eaves was a little dated
- Southsidechaz (9/5): - Great place
- Harry (10/5): -
- Philippa (9/5): - The loviest sea view room, clean and very comfy beds and duvet. Great breakfast, great location. Nice bathroom, good shower and nice towels.
- Micaela (9/5): - Great location and super breakfast. The room was nice and cosy, perfect for a weekend away. N/A
- CCZ (10/5): - Kristine‘s’ breakfast was very hearty. I'm not hungry at all after going out all day. The huge windows face the sea, when the sun comes out, it makes me feel relaxed.
- Kevin (9/5): Relaxing - View Breakfast Nothing
- Colin (10/5): Overnight business trip in Bute - Beautifully kept traditional Scottish house overlooking Rothesay Bay, comfortable warm room in very peaceful surroundings. Nothing negative to say about St Ebba, a great night's sleep then excellent breakfast. The salmon & scrambled eggs are fantastic
- Maxine (7/5): - The sea view The stairs
- Audrey (10/5): -
- Hana (8/5): A nice place for a reasonable price - Nice place, very good location with sea view from the room and at breakfast. Good coffee in the room and good breakfast. Lightning in one room wasn't working properly, window and furniture a little bit shabby.

- Audrey (10/5): - Sea view room was beautiful, super comfy beds, great breakfast. Easy to get to, great location.Great hosts very kind and helpful, I would definitely recommend this B&B
- Fiona (10/5): Excellent place and great value. - Kristine gave me a warm welcome, and checked what was happening with a local Facebook group for me. My room was very clean, the bed was really comfy, the view is lovely, and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully cooked. This is not a criticism, however please be aware that the second flight of stairs to my room was narrow and steep, and that the room has low ceilings at the eaves. I was in the delightful single room to the front.
If you are fit and a good walker, it takes approximately a 20-30 minutes walk to the Rothesay ferry terminal; otherwise being acquainted with the local bus timetable is advised.
- Sue (10/5): Good - All over excellent Nothing
- Annette (10/5): Lovely guest house,in stunning location, great breakfast - Lovely location, great breakfast, friendly staff The stairs
- Ian (8/5): Great value for money and really clean. - Great location and really tasty breakfast. Breakfast service on the second morning was very clunky. Waitress seemed to have difficulty in either hearing or understanding me (well spoken northern English) received coffee after asking for tea, andI’m still waiting for the jam and brown sauce!

- Christine (9/5): Great stay on lovely Bute - Lovely B&B with amazing sea views, immaculately clean room, super comfy bed and great breakfast. One of the few places I found that still offers the option of a single bed / an affordable option for the single traveller. I hiked the West Island Way on Bute and used St Ebba as my base. The amazing breakfast always set me up for the day, and the location (bus stop in front of the door) allowed me to get each day to my starting point of my hikes and back without a problem. And it's only a short walk to Rothesay centre, which has plenty of great options to eat out. Kristine was an excellent host, and I hope I will be back soon! Nothing, it was great. :-)
- Steve (9/5): -
- Marina (10/5): -

- Andreu (8/5): Welcoming B&B in beautiful Bute - The views from the room were just amazing. The room was spacious, with great windows and plenty of light. The toilet is ensuite, which is amazing, though can be noisy at times. There are tea and coffee facilities. Staff are really kind and polite and breakfast was certainly fabulous, with home made jam as a special touch. We had a very good stay. The mattress maybe was a bit dated as it was the wardrobe. Despite was overall clean, maybe a bit of attention to some hidden bits would be necessary. In general, though, really lovely stay.
- Gerald (6/5): Quiet, peaceful and enjoyable. - Breakfast good.Location good. A Ground floor room as requested due to difficulty with painful knees and stairs dangerous for me.
- Loretta (10/5): LorettaG1 - The bed was so comfortable and queen - excellent.
Great choice for breakfast 😋
Lovely view of the wayer from our large bedroom .
Clean and spenty of room for clothes in wardrobe and chest of drawers. Nothing.

Bathroom, towels etc. pristine clean.
- Samantha Cassidy (10/5): great weekend away for highland games and family reunion - great location beautiful view great price and staff friendly. tasty breakfast nothing
- Jan (10/5): - This was my base for three days of walking amd cycling on Bute. A good sized comfortable room with pleasant sea view (unlike my usual experiences of single rooms buried in the backends of hotels). Excellent breakfast with lots of choices each morning set me up well for the days activities. A very comfortable bed, I slept well each night (or maybe that was all the walking). Sockets by the bed for charging phone, and a well-stocked tea tray.
Kristine is a very friendly hostess and I would happily stay here again.

- Craig (9/5): Scenic location, lovely place - Lovely welcoming staff, scenic and handy location, comfortable beds, fabulous breakfast and views, would highly recommend. Have stayed here several years in a row and will return in 2026 Only teensy quibble was a lukewarm shower one morning - not sure if that was because of big storm the day before, my bedroom being on the top floor, or some other plumbing issue
