Guest Reviews
- Lluis M (10/5): - The best of the hotel that we put 15 points is the dinner of 7 October with a one piece, included the head, of BIG fish of the reef.
I think is a unicorn fish that a local man go to take by harpoon about in the afternoon and immediately is cooked by grilled, and this dinner was accompanied with fantastic Desperate beer and frites and rice.
It is one spectacular dinner with small lamp a light of the night. !!!
A remember for all the life.

- Estrada (10/5): - Very quiet place
- Francois (8/5): - Paradisiaque
- lyndene (6/5): - Staff pleasant, bedroom and bathroom linen very old and worn.
English:
Good points: awesome spot, clean and spacious rooms just in front of the see. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
Bad points: the room wasn't ready (1 hour late).
Absolutely no WiFi in the rooms! (reception only).
Food: very average value for money and slow service.
Maybe we'll be back for the spot
- Verified traveler (10/5): Heavenly good - Each lodge is right by the beatiful beach. In there is everything needed to settle comfortably and relax. Good meals and service are provided at the restaurant. The general view of the bay around is highly enjoyable. It was hard to leave.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This property is ver isolated at the southern tip on the island. The access road is awful. Potholes and narrow. Suggest 4wd or take coastal roytes not through the centre. Boat access is far easier.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Peaceful and a little tired around the edges - Wonderful isolated and peaceful place. The hotel is getting a little bit tired. This is one of a number of places that were built around the island in the 1990s and that are showing signs of age (and limited profitability). But the reality is that the spot, the view of the water from every cabin, and the things to do in the area, make this a must-go place. If you expect nightclubs and restaurants, forget about it.
Oh, and like every other place we tried in New Caledonia, the food was terrible and really expensive. It's an issue that drove us absolutely crazy. If you can, bring a cooler and avoid paying a premium for things you really don't want to eat.
- Lydie (8/5): Beautiful location off the beaten trail. - The place with individual bungalows is gorgeously located, nice staff, easy check-in. Every cabin offers a great view of the water. Very quiet and private. Kayak rentals is too expensive especially for the condition and quality. Breakfast if fine (but not great, ie no local fruit but ham, cheese and usual steam table sausage and eggs). Dinner space is beautiful but based on one dinner, food is pretty dreary.
At this level of accommodation you don't really have a choice on this part of the island. All in all though the place is getting tired it is still worth it and tremendously relaxing. For those addicted to their wifi, get used to being largely out of touch. Almost never worked.
We recommend walking the "Chemin des Bagnards" trail from the hotel to the campground.
- rob (8/5): Quiet, remote retreat on beach edge in south - Enjoyed quiet retreat time at beach edge. Spacious room with adequate facilities but no microwave for meal preparation. Plentiful facilities at main lodge for relaxing in garden setting.
Good breakfast spread and short but adequate evening menu, Limited activities include water board and short walk.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
- John (6/5): Not much happening - Probably best for honeymoon. Bit remote
- James (8/5): Great place to relax - Nice place to go back to after a full day of work.
