Guest Reviews
- Eric (4/5): - Average , was quite old , run down . Broken bathroom and slightly dirty
- Coastal20852206482 (2/5): Just awful - One to avoid :-
Only 2good points , the location and the bed was comfortable
Horrible / mouldy / dated/ unclean / unsafe
See the previous reviews they are true
Needs lots of improvements
I had a horrible room , never seen so much dust and codwebs with dead and living mosquitoes
Stained towels
They were refurbishing the 5th floor when we was there . Bits dropping onto you when we walked past from the diy . Broken tiles dropping into the green slimy pool
If you are planning to stay in a lot in the room , avoid it
Could be a nice place . Staff don’t seem to be bothered about it / apathetic
- 932rocheller (2/5): This was worse than a 3rd world country’s accommodation. Photos are not up to date and don’t wash the sheets. - This was the most disgusting experience of my life. Not only did I get electrocuted by a dodgy faulty dusty lamp but the staff acted like it was nothing. I had bugs in my bed. No towels to wash off the filth. Let’s talk about the rubbish in my bed and the smell. Mouldy walls and slimy pool. Would not recommend this place at all.
- Belinda (4/5): Dilapidated - Very dilapidated hotel which is a shame as I’m sure it was a good hotel a long time ago. Dirty floors in the rooms, a shower that floods the whole bathroom floor & patio doors that have a gap at each side & haven’t been fitted properly. The pool had a tinge of green to it & we found our upon leaving you have to request your room be cleaned at reception (we weren’t told this on arrival). The location is pretty good & the actual shower itself very powerful & warm. That said we wouldn’t stay here again
- Samuel (2/5): - No hot water, Air conditioner didn’t work, smelt like mould, shower and toilet looked like it had been leaking prior to my arrival! Sheets dirty, bugs in bed! Booked another hotel as I did not feel comfortable staying there!
- Priyan (2/5): Garbage Hotel. Avoid - Disgusting state
Cigarette burns on sheets, mold in shower, dirt everywhere
- Fiona (4/5): - Toilet hose leaked on the bathroom floor. Shower and sink had lots of mineral buildup or something. Walking into the bathroom was a trip hazard with three levels but you have to be skinny to use the bathroom. Showering got most of the bathroom wet. Had to unplug the tv because it wouldn’t turn off at night. Little black bugs were constantly running along the baseboard. Patrons were loud at like 3am. Washed my face and then I tasted salt so I refused to brush my teeth with that water.
- Anthony (6/5): - Staff did there job. Linen needs to laundered properly.
Location excellent and no bed bugs.
- geoffrey david (2/5): - don’t waste your money !! ignorant staff n very below average place !!
- Malcolm (2/5): Don’t stay here! - It was once a pleasant hotel. Now the rooms are unclean, mouldy bathrooms, faulty doors, missing amenities, even getting fresh towels was a problem. Terrible experience and I had booked to days here. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The one thing you should expect is cleanliness. I had to buy my own cleaning products to feel some sort of ease about staying in this hotel.
- Passenger40177351317 (4/5): Salty water and tiny toilet - I was stay at this hotel with my family, great location but unfortunately the water is salty, my skin feel itchy after shower, the shower handle were broken, it’s hard to use the toilet and the sink due to very small bathroom, the fridge and safety box doesn’t work, they don’t clean the room especially the bathroom properly, have to asked for fresh towel and new shower mat.
- jinesha2024 (2/5): Dirty and unappealing - The cleanliness of the room was disgusting, even after telling the staff they didn't care. We bought cleaning products and cleaned the room ourselves. There was rubbish in the room from previous guests, the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months and I didn't want to walk on the floor barefoot. We cleaned the room as good as we could..DO NOT STAY THERE
- Mohammad (4/5): - The location is good but the hotel rooms and toilets are not clean, No hot water and no lights on the room. The blanket not changed for 4 nights I don't recommend the hotel for the people are carrying for the clean room or toilets.
- heidi (10/5): - Ping Hotel is central to shopping, beach and restaurants. Very nice hotel with rooms perfect for solo or couples travel. Nice modern decor. Good amenities like water, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, safer, refridge and slippers. The only thing is the detergent to wash the sheets was quite perfumey.
- Sophia (2/5): - This was the worst accomodation I have ever stayed in. Do not stay here. It is nothing like what is advertised and is incredibly run down. The first room I stayed in was dirty with dust, hair and smudges everywhere. The bathroom was covered with scum and when I had a shower the bathroom completely flooded. The next day the power stopped working too and they couldn’t fix it. I was then moved to another room and this room was also unclean, had a leaking toilet and didn’t have hot water coming through the shower. It was truely an awful experience and I’m not someone who usually complains - about anything. I had to find alternative accomodation for the remainder of my trip and when I complained was refused a refund. Negative stars.
- Marija (2/5): - This was the dirtiest hotel I've ever been to. The dust in the room was everywhere, prompting me to clean the room myself. It felt like nobody had cleaned it for months. Not to mention stains on the sheets, dirty floor and shower. Good location though...
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not a 8.5 place … - It was very run down. Shower head was falling off, toilet was constantly running, and the sheets were dirty.
- Jayden (2/5): - Rooms not maintained well dirty and many defects. Tried two rooms both dirty and issues with bathrooms. One toilet didn’t flush properly and bathroom flooded having a shower.
- nathalie (6/5): - The personnels where very friendly but the cleanliness of the room was pathetic , clean sheets and towel yes , but the floor, the fridge and the door of the bathroom had so much dirt on it with dust stuck on the door. Also the air conditioning started to leak and the clerk used hour towel to wipe the water on the floor after that the towel was black form the dirty floor… we left early
- reggiefellows (10/5): Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff and in a good location close to beach and restaurants. Pool was very nice. - Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff and in a good location close to beach and restaurants. Pool was very nice. Not too busy when we stayed (January). Rooms were good for the price and AC worked nice balcony overlooking the pool. Would recccomend
- JingJing (10/5): - The area of the Hotel is very convenient because it’s walkable to many stores and restaurants. During my stay at the hotel all my activities was outside of Seminyak therefore I didn’t get a chance to do a thorough explore. The hotel room was very clean however the smell of the room was bad, when you walk into the room you could smell something that’s mouldy, but overall it it’s a spacious and clean room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The check in is fast, and the staff is friendly. He can remember my name the next morning, which is very rare even in those 5 star hotel. All other staff is friendly and helpful too.
Wifi is very strong. However. the hotel room is not that clean. There was stain found at the bedsheet, the glass door at the balcony is not working, i can hardly open the glass door. The tap water is salty, and the toilet unable to flush away toilet paper no matter how long i pressed.
- Peter (8/5): - Good hotel in great location.
Getting a bit tired but good value.
- Lee (10/5): - Comfy beds
- Lloyd (10/5): - The location is perfect for beachgoers — only a five minute walk to Seminyak beach. The hotel’e street is very lively, kind of honky-tonk, with gay and straight bars. The hotel is set back from the road and is very quiet. I had a very spacious suite. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was quite sufficient, but could use updating. The pool is large and lovely, and I swam in it every day. The staff is very courteous and helpful.
- Darrell (10/5): - A pleasant stay. Lovely staff. A very hood value for the price in a perfect area if you you like east beach access and lots of nice dining options. Also close the fun clubs
- Rachel (10/5): - We stayed in a standard room on the first floor
Pros
Staff is very friendly
Pool is nice
Beds were comfy
TV is connectable with Netflix and YouTube
( I stayed here in a deluxe room before and it was much better)
Very close to beach, food and shopping
Cons
The floor tiles made our feet a little dirty.
Shower head probably needs fixed it doesn’t have much flow and it was annoying to get sand off from the beach.
The outside door to the patio needs realigned it’s hard to open and seems a little hatihati dangerous when opening.
Overall the price is good and the staff is very nice I recommend staying in the nicer room though
- Aurion (10/5): Great deal for the price! - For the money, it’s a fantastic deal. The location is good. The rooms and beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The rooms are pretty dirty. It doesn’t seem like the staff have cleaning supplies/chemicals or do much more than make the bed between guests. My sheets were dirty. the dishes were dirty with food stuck on them, the floor turned the soles of my feet black with grime. I asked the staff for a cleaning supplies and did a once over myself to spruce it up. Lots of things were also broken/malfunctioning in the rooms I stayed in.
However, in spite of the bad parts, the place was perfectly comfortable and a fantastic deal for the price. I would definitely stay there again.
- Mary (6/5): - The location of the hotel is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is a big bonus. But the bathroom was not clean, looked like the toilet seat was not cleaned at all. And there was a bad small.
- Matthew (8/5): Great stay near Seminyak beach - Room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. All rooms appeared to have a balcony. Pool area was lovely. However, no restaurant or bar.
- Ryan (10/5): - Was fine for what I needed it for
The lighting in the room wasn't that great
The bathroom layout was a bit frustrating to maneuver
- uwe_hohmann (4/5): no answer for refund. flight canceled because of corona and lockdown indonesia - i booked this hotel many times in the 30 years i go to bali. when the management changed already some little changes in the service and equipment for the rooms.
this time no answer for agoda and me though i tried many times per email and whatsapp to contact the hotel and the manager youlanda. not good attidude
- Sephela Makete (6/5): Expectations not met!! - The staff was great, Yeni, Winda & The Chef were of great service. When we arrived the linen was dirty and the bathroom was not clean. They need to add some variation to their breakfast as well.
- ShawnPD75 (10/5): great hotel in seminyak - really nice hotel set off the busy noise of the street. rooms are not big but enough for relaxing and sleeping. very clean hotel. the breakfast is nice. nice pool. good place to relax in the mornings and plan your day. also the rooms are very quiet and great blackout curtains
- Verified traveler (8/5): A tucked away gem! - Hotel was easy to find even if it's tucked away. Check in was easy and floors accessible by elevator and stairs. There is a pool and restaurant on site. The beach is a 15 minute walk at most.
Room was nice overall. Bathroom could have used some extra attention but was immediately given a deeper clean when mentioned to staff. Rooms have air conditioning and patios. The linens could have been in better condition with some minor stains but I never felt they were not clean.
Staff make this place. They were friendly and helpful in all regards. From check in to maintenance showing how to work a basic AC control everything was prompt.
Be sure to have breakfast as a part of your package. They offer both traditional Balinese and Continental choices. The food was delicious, fresh and very generous portions.
- LKS (10/5): - The most friendly staff ever. Amazingly close to the beach, amazingly responsive
- David C (8/5): No complaints - Easy low key place. Staff attentive when needed, otherwise they don't interact much. Good location, easy walk to bars, cafes, beach etc
- AveriC (10/5): Relatively quiet location and friendly staff - We really loved our stay here. Considering how busy the outside street was, you'd never guess it based on how quiet the actual hotel is. The pool was lovely, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Pool and bath towels were included, which was also nice! We'd stay here again in a heartbeat! The elevator is a bit small, so just keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage or otherwise need a lot of space, but that wasn't a problem for what we needed.
- Pascal-Saccavini (2/5): Quality is bad and bad - I used to stay in PIng every 3 months alone or with my groups i take to Bali.
Till now everything was fine, all employees were really nice, welcoming, warming, caring, even if some problems occurs in rooms... but since the change of management Quality has turned really bad, more and more rooms are out of order and when you try to contact them bu mail noone answer !! i wanted to check a booking for february 2020, i sent 4 mails and nobody dare to answer. HOw dare can we react like that ?? what a lack of education and professionalism !!
- Betsy (8/5): - Very comfy bed and pillows. Location was fantastic.
But they ran out of towels when we checked in. We didn't get towels until about 7pm.
- Musa (10/5): - Great place and nice staff.the main thing is away from other attraction but this place for people to have short route to the beach.will come back again
- Marcoes111 (10/5): service for my dinner - Good service of Adiana for my dinner in the restaurant. The food and the drinks were very good.Friendly people working there.Everything clean and many plants there. So i was satisfide in the pinghotel of Seminyak.
- Barry (10/5): - Good location.
- dixonb203 (10/5): short break in bali - booked online, based on price. was not disappointed, i just returned from a 7 night stay at ping. hotel smells nice. room is small, but very adequate. bed is comfy, pillows soft. pool is very refreshing. hotel is centrally located, and convenient to everything.staff are friendly and helpful.
- justpumpitlouder (4/5): Not maintained & Dirty - Let me start my review by saying, if something is too good to be true— it probably is. That’s how I felt when my friends booked this place. It looked too nice for how cheap it was, but I figured, hey— it’s Bali, right? Well I was in for a surprise.
Pros:
Staff was mostly friendly.
On site laundry service was convenient.
Location was convenient and walkable.
Pool (aside from the decaying wooden planks around parts of it) was pretty nice.
Room was quiet on top floor
Cons:
WiFi did not work at all in my room on the top floor.
The walls and bathroom were filthy. FILTHY. Towels were stained. Bed linens were stained in all of our rooms. They desperately need to buy new sheets, blankets, and towels. It was disgusting and made me feel so gross. My best friend in her room ordered new blankets only for them to flip the existing one. Don’t even get me started on the toilet. It was disgusting and in desperate need of either bleach or replacement. Stained couches. Filthy walls. My feet were dirty from walking on the floor inside my room. It was unreal.
Bugs. There were no bugs in my room, but both of my friends in two other rooms woke up each day with bites. We still have no clue what was biting them.
My bathroom had no shower curtain and flooded every time I took a shower. I asked for one but never got one.
The shower in my room only put out scolding hot water. I complained but nobody could fix it. Had to shower in one of my friends equally dirty bathroom.
The food at the breakfast was nasty. I am all for trying new things but wow! But I’ll let that slide because maybe it’s a cultural difference.
The AC was so hit or miss. My room struggled to keep cool. One of my friend’s room never cooled down. My other friend’s room was freezing, and they couldn’t get it to turn off. And then on the last day before we left, it leaked a bunch of water and drenched her bag.
—
This place has so much potential to be nice, and I’m sure it was gorgeous 5-15 years ago, but right here in 2019, it’s unmaintained and dirty. It looks nice from afar, but when you start noticing dirty towels and stained walls, you realize you made a mistake staying here.
- Jakviti (2/5): Tired run down hotel - Arranged airport pickup didn't happen.(still charged)
First room they put me in had a useless air-conditioner
After waiting at reception finally moved to another room.
Linen stank of bleach and the bathmat was literally a rag with holes in it.
Deck around the pool was rotten wood with rusty nails sticking up.
On checkout told I could only pay for the minibar in cash(had to rush to money changer at 8:30pm).
- Verified traveler (6/5): - just the positive part was the staffs toilet ,bed sheet ,pillow sheet, towels was very dirty the cleanliness of this property rate is very poor location and staff was perfect and frindly
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fabulous value for money. Food, drinks, massages, pool. Lovely Staff, very comfortable. Will definitely be back.
- Road748466 (8/5): Anne , Darwin - Excellent location. Nice basic hotel, very clean rooms , friendly staff. Breakfast good, varied each day, friendly staff and great service. Short walk to beach and great eating places.
Good value 3 star hotel.
- christinecH316OG (8/5): Ping Hotel - Great location, easy reach of beach, shops, money exchangers. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast varies daily. Really enjoyed the vegetable choices for breakfast. Pool clean and inviting. Lane way leads straight from road to reception.
- Frederick (8/5): Good enough - Great location & very attentive staff -- room given at check-in, its TV didn't work, so that got replaced then the AC unit died, so we changed rooms; bathroom exhaust fan didn't work in either
- Diana (10/5): - Great cheap hotel right outside all u need ...
- Siaw Phin (8/5): Relaxing Bali Trip - - Location is good, within walking distance to the seaside, shops & restaurants.
- Basic room but spacious, no hairdryer in the room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Rooms were dirty, bedding dirty, air con not working properly, had to chase up and wait for over an hour for laundry service, restocking and room cleaning irregular, breakfast buffet cold ...even the hot food was cold and very limited choices, reception staff more interested in what was happening on their mobile phones than what was happening with the customer, bug infestation in the room, took nearly 5 minutes to get hot water for the rainfall shower that was going in nearly every direction other than down.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Spanish and bar facilities should be available,
Restaurant has limited variety in it's menu
- 899isabellp (8/5): Nice and clean - The hotel looks like the pictures, fresh and stylish! The staff was accommodating, the room was ready early. Good breakfast and cleaning. Pretty close to the beach. Had a mini bar with coke, water etc.
- Joy (6/5): - Firstly be clear, the all staff were excellent and Chippy and his kitchen staff especially helpful and went out of their way to provide you with what you wanted. Their staff obviously cover up for the misinformation provided on this website and they have mislead all of the agents as well leaving them open to being claimed upon however staff can only do what they can do with what they have been provided with and PING’s owner/s fall well short. Roof top bar does not exist but the view is great as it is one of the highest spots around and you can watch the planes coming in to land and kites fluttering in the breeze.
The superior room is NOT 27M2 but 18M2 and that’s 33% smaller so you aren’t getting what you pay for. The deluxe room is double that size Of 37m2. Deluxe is hardly the term either. It has a larger fridge, a microwave along with a bench and b/bar with no chairs, a sink with only cold water, no tea towels or dish washing liquid. Shower over the bath flooded the floor. The whole building needs some serious attention, and deck parts are rotten. Towels have often got large holes in them, so should not be used. Management fails to provide proper cleaning materials. We observed a cleaner drying a cup with the cleaning cloth..
All the shortfalls fall back to the owner. These sort of references date back some time as others have also commented which means the owner is slack to say the least. WEBSITE MUST BE UPDATED TO TELL THE TRUTH.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent value for money. If you’re looking for a quiet ‘home base’ with all the essentials then you’ll be very happy at Ping.
- Ang (6/5): Good location. BAD rooms. - We were only staying half a night in Seminyak so decided to book this place but sadly was a very wrong choice. Room condition was BAD, dirty pillow cases with stains all over. The AC did not work so had a night of no sleep and rest. The property itself is quite centrally located but away from the noise of the busy streets, they just need to improve their service and standard!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect location and tidy rooms. We enjoyed our stay here for the cost - it was great value for money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The bed is comfortable and the pillows are big and clean and soft ,
I have been coming to this property since it opened, have noticed the wooden planks around the pool are very dangerous with some loose or missing areas , really needs all to be replaced , it is a budget property in location location , the staff always remember a return guest
- MKat (8/5): - Pool was clean and centrally located. Staff was helpful and friendly. Gore location was wonderful as beach, restaurant, massages, and more all in walking distance.
- Lazaros (2/5): Shit hotel - Rooms are very dirty and super small and the noise of people and hiss iechos through out the building will never stay here again you have b en warned
- Anna (6/5): Ping hotel - Pros: Location location location! The hotel is right about a 7min walk from 2 main beaches and is surrounded by shops/restaurants/ATMS. The beds were also very soft and comfortable.
Cons: There’s no overhead lighting in the room so it’s very dark at night.
Do NOT use their laundry service. Myself and a friend did laundry twice and the first time they lost a bralette and told us they couldn’t do anything about it since we told them too late? Okay understandable since we didn’t notice till 2 days afterwards. The second time we did laundry they returned it to us super late and they lost another shirt. Their policy is before 10am get it the same day. We brought it to them at 9am and left for the day assuming it would be done. When we got back it wasn’t done and when we called reception they first told us that they didn't revive the laundry before 10am. Then after we assured them that we did they told us it would we ready by 7am. Next morning arrives and the laundry still wasn’t there. Check out was at 12pm with a flight to catch at 2pm. The laundry finally arrived at around 9am. At this point we were frustrated with the lack of communication with the staff and the service. The workers spoke very little English and couldn’t seem to understand the situation nor the frustration. At time of check in we told the man at the reception the situation and the best he could offer us was 10% off the service. Save yourself the headache and just take your laundry to a different service.
- 649alens (8/5): Nice little hotel close to beach - This is nice hotel, just few minutes walking to the beach. Hotel has 4 floors: 1, 2, 3 and fifth! So they don’t have floor number 4!
:-D
According to Balinese people 4 is bad number so they skip iz whenever possible.
Nice pool in the middle of hotel. Perfect for swimming in the middle of the night!
Rooms are ok. They could be cleaner but nothing to worry about.
Stuff are very very nice!
Breakfast can became boring after few days because variety is very limited. If you want omlet or pancake, you must order it. You have been warned ;-)
One day we went to late night excursion to catch the sunrise from top of the vulcano, and hotel provide us a ‘breakfast box’. Nice.
You can spend good time here.
Recommended!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Well , the location was amazing, but i booked 2 smoking rooms (rooms with 2 single beds. I shocked with the rooms , one of them 1 double bad and the other one was with king bed, i told the stuff that i booked the rooms as single beds the man said they don’t have only these rooms and if i have to change it to single bed i have to stay in nonsmoking room and thats not what i want so i was so nice to accept that and stay in these rooms, but after 2 day one of the rooms had a problem ( the air conditioning not working any more only fan) i told the stuff thousand time to check it or change the room, no response till i left the hotel.
Overall, the location amazing and the pool amazing too, the hotel is clean but I forget to mention that the breakfast was awful, I spent 6 days eating toast( they have only local breakfast)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff is very friendly, rooms are good, although very small,
there is very less choice for the food but then the quality is good
For the small Budget it’s excellent
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable but smallish.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The lobby are did not smell good. It was very clean looking and pool looked beautiful but area was smelly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Some areas need a bit of touching up, eg the boardwalk on the ground floor. Restaurant needs to be advertised better. Plumbing in bathroom needs work - staff very nice and accommodating. Great value for money.
- Pete (4/5): - Leaking shower and toilet, staff were great though and location good too. Breakfast could be better but you get what you pay for, beware
- 141sharronb (8/5): Good Lication - Modern accommodation surrounding nice pool in heart of Seminyak. Staff warm & friendly. Cable tv, comfy bed with tea or coffee making facilities in room. Bathroom small but has nice large shower head. Hot water took a minute to come through but was plentiful. Has in room safe & aircon & small balcony overlooking pool. Great location. Walking distance to beach, shops, restaurants. ATM close by & small supermarket. Easy to jump in taxi or hail a bike. I also used Grab same as Uber. Efficient! Breakfast dining room & room service available. Basic but enough. Set back from road so it’s relatively quiet. Overall would stay here again as it’s well priced & easy to get around.
- pakit0j (6/5): Nice hotel - Hotel is very nice ,it’s need some renovation but it is ok . 4min walk from the beach, staff is amazing and they are always there to help you . If you want to rent a bike or driver do it with them, they have best price in all Bali . Breakfast is bad ,there is no a lot of option .
- Peda (10/5): Amazing staff - Very nice hotel just 3 min walking for beach. Swimming pool is nice but no body use it because there is no sun because of building. Staff is very hu. They will arrange you driver, bike , trips for much less the anybody in Bali . Trust me .
- ainsleyb (6/5): Better options in Seminyak - I stayed at the Ping Hotel in Seminyak for one night after a long haul flight. I was looking for somewhere low in price that had good reviews and would be relatively close to central Seminyak.
The hotel is tucked away down one of the narrow streets in Seminyak and is close to a number of shops, bars and restaurants. The staff I encountered were all helpful and provided me with a welcome drink upon check in, which was handled quickly.
The double room I was in was an okay size but probably on the smaller size of whats available at a similar price range in the area. The room was generally clean although not spotless and the bed was comfortable.
I decided not to extend my stay at this hotel beyond one night as I found a better option for not too much more money in Seminyak. The Ping hotel was a decent value for money but not a place I would be in a rush to return to considering the other accommodation options available in Bali.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent location; staff is very pleasant...pool gets shaded much of the day
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not really enjoyed to stay there . The room dark and the toilet not clean
- raymond (8/5): Bathroom for slim guests - Comfortable beds and pillows, adequate size rooms with tiny bathrooms with doors opening into your walking space. If you are not slim fit, you must wiggle uour way past the entry to get to the commode. Doors should swing out or sliding doors.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A pleasant check in experience and the staff happy to accommodate!
A great overnight stay and would stay again.
- Jane (10/5): A nice hotel in Seminyak - The hotel is beautiful, it has a lovely entrance with greeneries lining skyway above the driveway (perfect for shelter from hot sun), a small area for parking, very convenient for taxi or GoCar to pick up or drop off passengers or turn around. Staff are friendly and always willing to help. The reception desk is clearly visible for arriving guests or surveillance, especially important if you are lone swimmer early in the morning. Swimming pool has a lovely design, but is a little too deep for a 5 ft tall person, but otherwise it's perfect. The room is clean, I love the veranda area. The bathroom is generally clean except the shower recess shows some soap stain. Generally the facilities are modern. Breakfast is simple but tasty, best to pay when you book your hotel because it's a lot more expensive if you pay later. Few minutes walk the beach and the famous Made Restaurant(free entertainment program on Friday and Sunday night), a number of night entertainment venues with loud music also near by, as well as shops. Although the hotel is in the main street, but the rooms are way inside in the quiet area, perfect location for a hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location - close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help guests. We stayed in March and was a great time to holiday as the hotel and the streets were very quiet.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The housekeeping needs to be looked into I went there with a friend and many times the towel and face flannel they got it wrong there was either none or only one of the towels the mirrors in the room were never polish and the door to the balcony were finit cleaned the water takes an age to get hot so much so the sink over glowed but it is a good location
- Verified traveler (2/5): - "WARNING" DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!!!
I dont want to go into the long list of mishaps and atrocities related with my 6nite stay there, hwever, if i didnt pay expedia in advance for the stay i wud hav lef after the 1st nite.So if u read this review & still book,& u experience anything that i did,U only hav urself to blame! NUFF SAID!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fantastic location. Within easy walking distance to the beach. Lovely staff however there just needs to be a bit more attention to cleanliness in the rooms. But overall we love it here and this is our 2nd time and will be coming back again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel is worn down and in need of updating, the pictures look really good.
Breakfast is same every day, they just change the spice on the rice and noodles.
Sheets and towels are grey and super thin. Definitely not 3 star, maybe 2 star minus.OK if you pay cheap enough for the room, as you get what you pay for.
- Robert (10/5): - Great location...to shops / restaurants / beach, staff was very friendly and helpful, well maintained
- Lynson (10/5): I'll be back - I had a great stay at Ping and I'll definitely be coming back. The staff is very friendly and the location is great! Close to the beach and great restaurants but if you feel like dodging the heat, they have a decent restaurant with awesome room service. This will be my go to hotel on my next trip
- kris (8/5): Budget paradise - Really enjoyed my stay here price was amazing for what you get. Breakfast buffet could improve and the cleaning of the bathroom needs to be better. But like I said I loved my stay bed was super comfortable
- David (8/5): - Very good value for money, good location
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad experience at Ping Hotel - 1/ We have requested for a non smoking room, during the check-in the reception has confirmed that it's a non smoking room. When we arrive at the room it smells smoke. The hotel propose us to put some spray or to change room. We have preferred to change room.
2/ On the new room, the toilet water was leaking. We have informed the staff the next morning who said that it will be repair before evening. When we came back at the evening nothing has been done.
3/ During the third day, when we came back to our room at the evening, there was plenty of water in the front of our room's door. We have called the reception 3 times before to have someone to come.
In overall, service and cleanliness very poor, and must be improved !!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice but basic hotel in a good location with friendly staff & a nice pool.
- Agnes (10/5): very good hotel, comfortable, nice stay - the staff at the reception was really friendly and kind. the room was ready before 14 so we apprefiated it very much!
the hotel is nice the room is good size. it is clean and they clean it every day.
bottled water in the room, fridge, tv, ac.
there is a big pool which is well maintained and clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We arrived at the Ping Hotel and weren’t happy with the cleanliness of our room. Staff then kindly prepared another room which was fine. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Rooms are a great size and comfortable. Great location, close to the beach and shopping. Beautiful pool and lovely breakfast. Will definitely be back to say.
- David C (8/5): Jack of all trades at a fair price - The hotel is a short walk from the beach and is in a popular area for cafes, bars and shops.. Some of the staff seemed young and inexperienced but they made up by trying their best to be courteous and helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Cleaning staff are very loud and not attentive. Forget stuff and not doing a good job at all. Breakfast is so bad and staff don’t speak English.
- Tommy (6/5): - The location was very good. Located off the Main Street.
The hotel maintenance is falling behind.
Rooms are medium size to small and bathrooms are compact.
Noises are echoed from the pool area.
Breakfast staff try hard but I think they lack real training
- Jayan (8/5): - Close to the beach. Has a very clean pool and a rooftop bar. The staff are very courteous and friendly. Breakfast is good with a decent spread and vegetarian options.
Excellent location and the neighborhood is abound with eateries, shops and travel agents
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful pool, great staff - The staff was very accommodating and eager to answer the many questions I had. The pool, breakfast area, and check in are located at the bottom floor which made it easier for maneuvering. Breakfast was delicious, the eggs were made to order. We received a massage in the spa located on 5th floor. It was a decent massage, the ladies were really nice. The view from the spa was great. There was a convenience store that had a larger variety of items next door. Would definitely stay here again when in Seminyak.
- gina (8/5): - Good value but you get what you pay for
- Natalie (10/5): - We loved Ping. We used it as a home base for 13 nights, but only actually stayed 9 nights. It was perfect as a home base. Just keep in mind the hotel class- it’s not luxury. Yes, the bathroom is small and we saw some evidence of wear and tear in the bathroom, and the a/c could have been stronger, but we loved just about everything else. The people were wonderful. We really liked inparticular the breakfast personnel, front desk (especially Angel, but we liked them all), and others. Breakfast buffet was great. We rented a scooter from them for several days and it was so easy (note- driving in Bali is not for the faint of heart- it is madness). Pool was great!! We just didn’t like the free 10 min massages-we had to wait like 45 mins past appt time and didn’t enjoy it. If you are looking for a nice hotel more budget than luxury, this is it.
