• Greg (8/5): - Huge space and amazing views. Very Quiet. We were only provided with one key upon check-in. I went to reception to request a second key and was advised that only one key was available. Later, my wife returned to the property to rest. As she had the only key, she left the garage door open so I could access the apartment. While she was lying down, she was woken by people walking inside our apartment and moving up and down the stairs. They had also reversed their vehicle into our garage. My wife was understandably very shaken by the situation and locked herself in the bedroom until they left. This distressing incident could have been avoided if we had been provided with a second key.

• Kristine (4/5): Stunning Views and Amazing Staff, but dated facilities and noise issues - The views from Villa Mar Colina are absolutely stunning while watching the parasailing, hearing the ocean, and taking in the scenery was a real highlight. The location is great, though it is up a hill. The staff, however, were exceptional and are a real credit to the business. Unfortunately, the nearby lookout seems to attract P‑platers at night, and the noise from cars made our first night very difficult. We had an issue in the room, The afterhours staff member was wonderful: empathetic, helpful, and genuinely understanding. The on‑site staff the next day were also fantastic, attentive, responsive, and quick to address our concerns. Their service was the best part of our stay. Sadly, the second night was even noisier. A neighbouring guest dragged chairs across the tiles for hours, which made it impossible to relax or sleep. We didn’t call after‑hours again, though in hindsight we should have. The buildings are dated and in need of maintenance. The pool has broken tiles, and we had to be careful not to cut our feet. Combined with the noise and disrupted sleep, the overall experience wasn’t as enjoyable as we had hoped. The staff, however, were exceptional and are a real credit to the business.

Main AC In kitchen & living area wasn’t working, staff tried to fix, hot tub was also out of action, we were given monetary compensation, which was very kind.

• Lani (8/5): Amazing spot of paradise in Yeppoon - Value for money. Amazing view from the enormous balcony. Inside was clean, spacious and comfortable. There isnt much to not like, the only small things were the aircons left a lot of water on the balcony making it slippery. The garage in the unit we were in was tricky to get into and very steep.

Apparently, there was a changeover in the hot water service at the time of our stay., we were not notified of this prior to arrival and there was no note left to advise of this. Once the issue was identified we were only able to use the hot water service from 6-9 am and pm. If I had my family with me then this issue would be totally unacceptable.

The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The size was good for a family of 4. The furnishings need updating. A few broken items (clothes rack, bedroom side drawers) There is a mould smell in the laundry, and the door kept getting stuck, which made it really hard to get in.

• Kylie (2/5): DIsgusting inside with a nice view and pool - The view was beautiful and the pool was nice We arrived Saturday to a stuffy room with no air conditioning which the villa was aware of wasnt working before we arrived, it got fixed on the Tuesday afternoon we left Thursday. The room wasn't clean, the floors weren't cleaned properly, there was dust in the wall lights which came down the walls in the main bedroom. People parked their cars anywhere and not in designated parking making already tight driveway even harder to navigate. The residence were rude and one even had a domestic dispute which involved cars screeching through the car park and yelling obscene words for around 15 mins. There was never any reception. The beds were a mix of uncomfortable / comfortable, spare blankets were old, airdryer was rusted and broken, internet worked occasionally.

Conveniently located to the beach and is a very short walk to everything. The villa has everything you need including washing machine and dryer. The apartment itself was old and in need of a deep clean. The front door was rotting and very hard to open and close. The blinds are old and hard to raise up and down, and had mildew on them. There was lots of mildew on walls, doors around the apartment. The pool size and location was also disappointing, as the pictures online make it look pretty amazing. We couldn’t watch a movie at night as the internet kept cutting out. And the noise from locals revving their car engines at the lookout car park across from us was really off putting. Overall, having paid a good amount for this apartment, I was really disappointed. Even more disappointing was the fact that the management didn’t respond to my email and photos about the apartment.
• Rourke (7/5): Awesome view, nice location would stay again - The view was absolutely amazing, awesome location and close to all venues that are regularly needed, close to beach and lagoon and nice restaurants aswell There was a lookout directly next to the property (20M) and there were kids and P players making excessive noise late into the night, the shower water pressure in the ensuite bathroom was very low, water was trickling out, and the bed sheets were very scratchy and felt old

Furniture was a bit dated and shabby - truthfully it let the apartment down a little. For us, it didn’t matter as we were there for 1 night.

• Deborah (10/5): Absolutely stunning - Oh my goodness what an amazing apartment. We stayed one night on way from airlie to hervey bay. Wish we could have stayed another night. It was huge with everything you need. Balcony sweeps around apartment and is also huge. Endless sea views right outside balcony. Can't praise this place enough for price, location and cleanliness. We ate in The Alley which is a two minute walk from apartment where they serve until 730. Again highly recommend. Food and service was superb There is nothing to not like

• Linda (9/5): Stunning views from balcony - Beautiful view from the room. Large spacious accommodation, huge bed. Lovely to have two bathrooms and even better the use of a bath. Kitchen area very good size, sofas are comfortable as was the bed. The best feature was having our own garage to house the car underneath our apartment. Sunrise was amazing. We ordered a one bedroom but had a two bedroom apartment, nice upgrade especially as it was my birthday. Wifi was terrible, could hardly keep the connection. The hill but you can't do anything about that. The name villa mar Colina in Portuguese means house on the hill, so I should have realised this when I booked it. Also the locals love to whizz past in their cars and park up reeving their engines most of the day and night.

The screen doors and sliding doors onto the balcony were buggered, again extremely hard to open and shut. The outside light didn’t work which made it hard to navigate the 2 sets of stairs In the dark and was quite a hazard because of this.

The main living area was expansive. BUT couldn't get free to air news on the TV, and management had to 'fix' streaming channel. Cooking/oven containers were sparse. The stove top was only ok for cooking. However, the view from the balcony made up for all the flaws mentioned. I'd stay there again, but would confirm with management the above.
