Guest Reviews
- Aasha (10/5): -
- Ashutosh (8/5): Great stay for the family! - Rooms are really nice. Washrooms are simply superb! Greenery in the lawn and around is excellent! Kudos to the gardeners. Service is good. The River Safari is amazing. Price is little higher. Should arrange a trip from here to Madikeri for the interested guests.
Should make the swimming pool area, more vibrant with more side pool-beds and canopies. There should be live counter and bar near the Swimming Pool where customers can order stuff while taking a dip in the pool.
- Sujesh (9/5): - The atmosphere and the location . Nice nature with birds sound and river side feel like inside a forest Restaurant is little bit congested in peak time reservation should be not as per the convenient timing.

- Anusha (10/5): We had a great time. Made loads of memories. Would love to visit again - Location and the maintenance. Loved the nature walks.. the best part of the trip was river trekking. One shouldn’t miss this. Nothing. We loved everything.
- Shruti Sinha (7/5): Okish property with very good spa experience - Spa was great... I like the therapist's attitude and the care she took towards me. Location was easy to reach. They could have better utilised their river area. The room was spacious and the bathroom was nice. I didn't like the food. It was way to spicy and restaurant folks were slow in filling the dishes that got over. Dinner was way too spicy...
- D.C. (3/5): - Ambience Poor A/c, water problem,So-so breakfast, not very friendly staff, horrible bathing space for senior citizens and so on!
- Anupam Verma (7/5): -
- Nishweth (6/5): -
- John (8/5): Very relaxing stay in a lovely setting. - Staff very helpful. Bungalows/lodges comfortable. The setting was lovely and we enjoyed the walk by the river. More choice menu and breakfast including coffee. More outside seating options
- Abhijit (8/5): Excellent experience. - The property was clean and tidy and well laid out. The food was good too. They also organized tours like the visit to coffee plantation and river walks. The location was slightly far from main attractions at Madekiri
- Harish (6/5): -
- Barath (10/5): -
- kumar (10/5): Please make the price little down,
Then may people will definitely around you - Pool and spa May be nothing
- Swati (10/5): -
- HarshaJay (8/5): - Good place to enjoy as a couple or family. Nearby attractions like river and wild life sanctuaries.
- binoykunhi (7/5): Stay for the vibe and service; skip the restaurant for now. - The ambiance was perfect for a family gathering, and the pool was well maintained. The property isn’t large, but it has a serene, close to nature vibe. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was disappointing. The mutton curry lacked spice, the mushrooms were overly salted, and the buffet and breakfast options felt below par. I’d prefer to eat off-site if possible. I shared this feedback during checkout, but the restaurant manager and chef were sent directly to me, I'm not sure that’s the best way to handle feedback.

- Rao (8/5): Very good - Rooms were good and spacious. Breakfast buffet was good. However lunch/dinner buffet required improvement in menu. In Ala carte chinese Cuisine was very good. Sandwiches/pizza snacks were also good. However Indian Cuisine required improvement.
- Jose (8/5): - Quiet retreat atmosphere. But also not located near anything so a bit isolated.
You get your own casita with your own patio. Beautiful except for shower/tub which is difficult to access if you have mobility issues. Apart from that perfect.
Breakfast is perfectly fine but not amazing as it is in other 5 star hotels. Coorg food is restaurant was great. Dont order the pizza!
Spa is great. Had 2 massages and both great.
- Nishritha (8/5): Very good - The location, the villas were soooo good The food n buffet can be improved.
- Payal (8/5): Very good -
- Suraj (8/5): Very good - Rooms n reception we good. The food taste, quality & staff at the restaurant should get better.
- Mathew (3/5): wedding Anniversary celebration was a disaster - Accommodation good
Staffs are good Food.
We had a Barbeque special dinner. It was totally disaster because the food was very salty, not cooked properly. We couldn't eat anything, so we left. Even though they charged ₹3500/- for this shit dinner. We went to this place to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We just ate one tandoori roti with carrot & cucumber.
The total price of this dinner is ₹5000/-. Finally they gave me a small discount. Any way our anniversary was totally ruined. 😰😰
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Sharath (5/5): Passable - Food taste was good. It's not worth the money. It's too costly; they charge 16.5k per day, which includes only breakfast, not even afternoon tea.
It's not worth paying this cost just for the stay.
- Rajan (4/5): Too expensive for all the hype - Property had access to government land which had water bodies which were pretty good Food was pathetic, staff weren’t knowledgeable about many points ex: temperature controlled pool or not!!! River crossing can’t be done with kids, only plus point were the bungalows which were decent sized.
- Harsha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Naveen (10/5): Exceptional - It is a very good property in the middle of city with lots of greenery. The staff were very helpful and the food in the restaurant is also good.
- Nellicken (9/5): Superb -

- Ashwin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mathew (9/5): Superb - Living in nature Bum shower pressure low
- Arjun (10/5): perfect getaway, true trip down rabbit hole ! - Property is very unique and aesthetically maintained. One can see the interest in up keep of the place.
Staff are very nice, We have known Krishnan from previous resort, he is very knowledgeable and guest focused.
Right in the midst of greenery, beautiful birds and sound of flowing river - couldn't have asked for better way to unwind !
The movie time in the evening were good !
Good amount of indoor games, big enough swimming pool (with separate kids pool).
Bird watching in morning was a great addition, very knowledgeable person too they have!
Too bad the river was flowing strong and the trek was not allowed, we will definitely visit again next time !
Food is tasty. I would say the restaurant is pricey (buffet and ala-carte) !

- Myk_11 (9/5): All in all, it is worth staying at Amanvana, be it with family/friends. Will visit again! - Stayed here for a family getaway for 4 days. The property is located away from the hustle-bustle of Madikeri. Although it is located on the Mysore-Madikeri road, the property will surprise the guests with its serene ambiance as soon as they enter the property. Quick shopping @Kushalnagar for all that we forget is convenient 😊.
Inside the property, each villa is beautifully constructed with loads of flora and fauna around with standard amenities and maintained clean. The service staff were available around the clock, very courteous and friendly. They do their best to help the guests. As part of the booking, the guests were offered a nature walk, bird watching, and their own coffee plantation visit (it is possible to see peacocks, a lot of giant spiders, and crocs, if lucky) at fixed times. All of them are worth an attempt as these are exclusively offered to Amanvana guests at no extra cost. The guide was very friendly and shared some interesting information. Guests can also walk along a small Cauvery tributary if it is not raining heavily.
Visiting with family or friends – the swimming pool in front of the restaurant is an excellent time kill. Be sure to have the basic swimsuits if interested in jumping in. Also, they have some recreational facilities (foosball, snooker, carrom, badminton) in a small place. During our stay, there was also a screening of a movie every evening. So, something for everyone! 😊
Restaurant – morning breakfast had a lot of options. A la carte menu is available – a bit expensive - be ready for a biggie 😊. I booked through Booking.com, so only the free breakfast option was available at the time of booking. At the property, I found that guests can book the buffet option for all three meals – which sounds like a good deal – as it lets you explore a whole host of dishes. So, I paid extra at the property and got it converted. Nevertheless, I must say that the longer the stay, the more easily you get bored with the buffet, though! But the bed cushion (mattress) was a letdown for the price one pays! and the furniture requires maintenance. As always, all these issues will go under “scope for improvement” & they will not spoil the stay.
- Mahesh (8/5): Very good -

- Connor (9/5): A very relaxing stay - The staff at the hotel are excellent, particularly Diwakar at the restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant, the food was excellent. The buffet lunches and dinners were good value for money, and had a great range of dishes. I went to Amanvana for some rest and relaxation and that’s exactly what I had!
- Syed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zeel (8/5): Very good -
- Priya (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was the highlight with the private bathtub. The food taste was top notch. All the dishes we ordered was flavourful and delectable. Kudos to the chef. The bathtub and the overall property experience

3. Soothing Spa with Well trained Team

5. Beautiful Nature activities with 8 Isle kaveri Treck, Flora & Fauna, Bird watching with Knowledgeable Jagat Nothing as Such

- Mohan (9/5): Great time - Food is good, property has good entertainment for family
- Sheryl (9/5): Superb -
- Bhakti (9/5): Superb -
- Sheila (10/5): We had a great time. My granddaughter had a fun time in the swimming pool. - Very well maintained. It had a rustic look, very naturally beautiful. Wifi was an issue occasionally. Front door of the bungalows could have more customer friendly locks.
- Rohan (8/5): Beautiful location but facilities and service were lacking at times. Overpriced - Location beautiful river, bird walk and guide were excellent Paid for spa but sauna didn’t work, ordered lassi during dinner but didn’t come for 45 minutes, too hot no AC
- Gijo (9/5): Superb -
- Anuya (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sreeja (9/5): Superb -
- Muzammil (9/5): Superb - Love the property, very nicely maintained. Beautiful skylit bathroom was the highlight of our room. Absolutely loved the spa! Best massage I’ve ever had. Thank You Amanvana for a fabulous birthday weekend. Wish the location was a bit more secluded but it’s right in the middle of Kushalnagar. Although doesn’t matter once you’re inside the property since you feel like you’ve fallen through a rabbit hole and into a mysterious jungle! Also loved the River Cauvery flowing right through the resort.
- Madhuri (10/5): - We had an amazing time in Amanvana Spa Resort. The food was good and so are the amenities. The room was clean and spacious. Do not forget to visit the spa during your visit.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Prachi (7/5): Fantastic resort, food average - Great rooms and good housekeeping Food was sub par. Very basic buffet, no focus on authentic, traditional cuisine, slow service and an obvious shortage of staff. While the staff was friendly and tried hard they obviously need more direction and the food really needs help. The experience would be ten times better if the food was sorted
- Aneeshkumar (8/5): Amanvana resort offers a serene ambiance that's truly rejuvenating, with its proximity to the Kaveri River enhancing -
- Vignesh (9/5): Superb -
- Hemanth (9/5): Superb -
- Saud (8/5): Very good -
- Arunky (10/5): Exceptional - Overall excellent.
- Ishfaq (5/5): Passable -
- Prabodh (9/5): The most relaxing and beautiful retreat with Kauvery river flowing was heavenly. - Loved the ambience, games room, food, service, cleanliness and everything about the place. Nothing!
- K (5/5): Passable - It was nice ambiance. You are taking lot of amount for food, that too food quality is very worst, please mention the price before they are taking food, then only it will be very helpful.
Service charges and GST also very high, compair to other resorts it's worthless. We will never suggest to someone to visit this resort. We have been so many resort but it's really worst in food pricing 😕
- Mohan (9/5): Superb -
- Saurabh (10/5): Beautiful and serene escape - Wonderful resort and a near perfect location. There's convenient access to the river with little nooks to sit strewn around. Easy access to most tourist spots and plenty of eating options including the excellent in-house restaurant. The rooms were plush with a beautiful private garden.
The most remarkable bit though was the siren song of all the wildlife around us. We won't forget this trip in a hurry! Only small niggle was that the rooms only have a bathtub. While well designed, it is a bathtub and it felt really bad to waste so much water.
- Nidhi (9/5): perfect weekend getaway - add on activities like trek and nature walk etc food
- Bhat (10/5): Exceptional - The property is gorgeous. Definitely worth the visit
