• Zeyno E. (9/5): - Luisa war sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Und die Kaffeemaschine war top. Die Lage war auch gut. Gute Restaurants in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Die Zimmer warwn liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer auf 2 Etagen, es war etwas unpraktisch, dass die Koffer/ Kleidung oben lagern mussten.

The staff in particular Luisa was amazing and I’d recommend staying just for the wonderful service alone. The shower was slightly on the smaller side but good pressure and clean and totally usable.

• Patricia (6/5): Personale molto cordiale ma in generale posto da rivedere - - Palazzo storico ben tenuto e in posizione molto favorevole, a pochi passi da Piazza del Popolo. - Stanza non troppo rumorosa. - Punto molto favorevole è il personale estremamente gentile. Molto bella la reception ed il salotto annesso. - La stanza molto piccola. - Bagno in cui non è stato possibile fare la doccia in quanto la caldaia il sabato pomeriggio è andata in blocco e nessuno ha potuto sistemarla sino al giorno successivo. Sappiamo che può accadere, eppure ci sembra assurdo pagare una cifra importante e non avere nemmeno l’acqua calda. Tra l’altro, ci è stato detto che accade spesso che la caldaia va in blocco, va sistemato il problema perché il prezzo pagato, appunto, è piuttosto alto per la stanza.

• Dragos Ionel (10/5): Can t wait to be back. - Best comunication with the host , we arrived 5 hours before the check in , i have asked a day before if is possible an early check in and Luisa did all the best to get our apartment clean and tidy before we arrived , olso give us great tip about nice and affordable restaurants in area and places to visit , best stay ever , highly recomended ! Nothing to complain , all perfect , thanks to Luisa .

• Claudia (7/5): Correcta - La ubicación, cerca de todo, Vaticano, palacio de Santangelo, cruzas el puente y estás ya en pleno centro de la ciudad, vas a todos lados caminando, la amabilidad del personal, la cama era cómoda, la posibilidad de la cafetera y los cafés, la calefacción, las ventanas por las que no entran ruidos de la calle. En la habitación que me alojé tenía rota la puerta de la ducha, no se salía el agua, pero era un poco cutre, el agua sale con poquita presión y poca, el agua es caliente pero para la gente a la que le gusta el agua muy caliente como a mí, en invierno, se nota, el techo del baño es como semiabierto, se escucha todo. Una de las luces tampoco funcionaba, las lámparas de las mesas de noche tenían que estar conectadas al escuche y solo había uno, no podías cargar a la vez el móvil, y no había el típico interruptor que conecta con la luz de toda la habitación para apagar o encender todas, se escucha todo de las habitaciones contiguas y el pasillo, también estaba roto el store de la ventana y no se podía levantar, es cierto que lo comunicamos a Luisa, pedimos cambio de habitación, no tenían disponible, al día siguiente arregló el store y nos dio la opción de cambiar la habitación una vez pasada la primera noche, pero quisimos quedarnos en esta por no probar algo nuevo que pudiera ser peor en cuanto a calidades, veíamos que todo era más o menos igual.

• Shantal (10/5): Perfect Stay – Cozy, Clean, and Great Location - I loved everything about my stay at Luxury on the River. The location is ideal: close enough to walk to the main sights, but just far enough from the busiest crowds, so the area feels calm and very pleasant. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed after long days exploring Rome. Louisa, who manages the accommodation, was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. The self check-in process was also very smooth and convenient. Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like. Great price–value ratio and a place I would happily stay at again. Highly recommended!

• YURY (9/5): - Отличное расположение, очень много из того, что надо посетить в пешей доступности. Вечером хорошо гулять. Магазинные улицы через мост. Вокруг много хороших ресторанов позавтракать или поужинать. Очень удобная кровать. Окна с хорошей звукоизоляцией и современными ставнями. Душ и гидромассажная ванна работали хорошо. Часто перестилали постель и меняли полотенца. Наличие халата и тапочек. Высокая оценка, так как мы отлично отдохнули и провели время, соседи и уборка сильно не шумели. Плохая звукоизоляция с коридором, что не удивительно, так как двери старые и требуют замены (свет из коридора видно сквозь сантиметровую щель над дверью). Поэтому звуки из коридора очень слышны. Еще в минус - ярко светилась панель управления кондиционером, приходилось ее завешивать. Не помешал бы сейф, так как все двери на кодовых замках, и вряд ли эти коды часто меняют. На входной двери подъезда и холла уж точно никогда.

• Monica (4/5): - The kitchen was fine and had what it needed. My issue with my room was there was an additional door in the bathroom that led out to a hall way. This hallway contained a water heater. And, the door didn’t lock. As a woman traveling alone, it didn’t feel safe to have a door in the bathroom or room that didn’t lock and led out into another area of the hotel. I brought it up to the staff and they were dismissive. Something else that bothered me, was after a room cleaning, I returned to find my curling iron and straighter in the bidet. Which is disgusting. I think for the money spent, you can definitely find somewhere better to stay.

• Perla (10/5): - This location was perfect, safe, walking distance to The Trevi Fountain, The Pantheon, The Spanish steps, many restaurants, pretty much everything. We walked all night until midnight. Our room was clean, quiet, the bed was comfortable, and most important, our hotel host Luisa was a sweetheart and very helpful. She arranged our pick up and drop off from the airport and even helped us book our Colosseum tour with pick up from the hotel. I loved this place and would definitely stay here again.

I gave a rating of 4 as next time we know to book a room facing the road so that we can have light and open the window. Looking forward to coming back!
• Daniel (8/5): Excellent Service and Location, Minor Room Wear - Great location—close enough to walk to everything we wanted to see, but far enough away from the main tourist crowds to feel relaxed. The manager was extremely nice and helpful; we’d give six stars for the service alone. The only real observation is that parts of the room showed some wear and could use maintenance. For example, the wood (or particle board) around the kitchen faucet was worn and loose, so it was flapping around a bit and the fridge either didn’t close all the way or took a bit to cool items down. Overall, though, the service and convenient yet peaceful location more than made up for these small issues.

Self check in was extremely easy, and Luisa was lovely and welcoming each time we met her. Free tea and coffee facilities in the room and a minibar in the fridge (at extra cost)- we were able to put own drinks in fridge aswell to keep cool. Room was clean and bed was very comfy! Slept in most days because it was soo comfy lol Air conditioning was great and needed in the Roman summer 😅 Shower was fab aswell! 10/10 would recommend, and would stay again if we visit again!

If you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you but if you want a comfortable and safe place to stay that is in walking distance to major city spots but not right in the tourist area then this is for you. It’s very close to the Vatican City, cute places for breakfast around the hotel. Check out Pops diner. Also close to a bus that takes you right to the center of town and 10 min walk to the metro. We really enjoyed our time.

Only downside is that the building is very old and you would have to slam the door to get it to shut and we heard that many times throughout the night very loudly.

• Omar (9/5): A charming hotel hidden away in a historic building. - The hotel enjoys a superb location, placing you within easy walking distance of Rome’s most iconic attractions, perfect for exploring the city on foot. From the moment we arrived, Luisa, our host, made us feel genuinely welcome. She was not only incredibly kind but also exceptionally helpful, going out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Despite the intense summer heat during our visit, the air conditioning throughout the property both in the rooms and communal areas functioned exceptionally well, providing a much-needed refuge after long days of sightseeing. The hotel itself is tastefully decorated, with a refined and elegant interior that beautifully reflects the charm of Roman hospitality. Every detail, from the furnishings to the ambient lighting, contributes to a warm and inviting atmosphere. The only minor inconvenience was the elevator it’s quite old and operates a bit clumsily. That said, given that the hotel is housed within a charming historic building, this is entirely understandable and in no way detracted from the overall experience.
• Todd (8/5): Really great service from the team, room was loud at night. - The hostess was absolutely terrific. So nice and accommodating. She really made the stay great. Enjoyed the effort made to decorate and make the space comfortable. Traffic by the street was loud as was the doors when other rooms would close their doors. Had a tough time getting good restful sleep.
• Logan (10/5): - Friendly staff who made it felt like a very personal experience. The keypad entry was nice since you don’t need to keep track of a keycard at all times.
• Avery (10/5): - This place was amazing! Perfect location (close to the city center but far enough to have a quiet night). Very clean and spacious rooms (the jetted spa was so nice over looking the river). Luisa was so nice and accommodating. If we ever find ourselves back in Rome we will definitely be staying here again!
• Bernhard (10/5): - Luxury on the River is located in walking distance to Piazza Del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, and Vatican City. A great location, a super clean facility, friendly staff, and the room was very comfortable and cozy. Luxury on the River is also in walking distance to breakfast places and a Carrefour Express. This venue is definitely recommendable!!!
• Milo (3/5): Poor - Lots of mold in shower... the building also has a smell of mold The front door Hotel entry was closed upon arrival. Another guest happened to just get in with a door combination while we stood there.

Clear instructions were made for smooth online checkin and Luisa was responsive to our inquiries Internet connectivity was really bad throughout our stay. Isf you are planning to do some online work, then you can not stay here
• Mahsa (7/5): Location and staff are great - The property was well-maintained, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. The location was excellent—just a short walk from the Vatican, which made sightseeing incredibly convenient. The surrounding area also had plenty of cafes, restaurants, and shops, adding to the overall experience. The staff were exceptional—friendly, helpful, and professional. Check-in was quick and seamless, which made our arrival stress-free. Unfortunately, during the last two days of our stay, the elevator stopped working, which was quite inconvenient. We had to carry all of our luggage down several stairs, which was especially difficult and tiring. This unexpected issue definitely impacted the overall experience and was disappointing, particularly at the end of an otherwise enjoyable stay.
