I love a room with a balcony The shower didn’t get very hot and even when you book pay at property they charge your card full price beforehand and if it doesn’t go through they cancel your reservation. Also, the fact that I had already paid premium for a not so premium room and had to pay for parking in addition to this cost was pretty disappointing.

Bed is comfortable to sleep--just the fridge noises are annoying. The fridge has a relatively loud noise at quiet nights when it is working. The hotel should avoid using such noisy electronics. Parking is $25, not free. The hotel should clearly list the parking fee in the reservation process. Breakfast is not tasteful and the cut fruits do not have fresh tastes. The hotel entrance was locked (can be opened using key cards) at 8:45 PM when I arrived--this may be too early for new guests to enter.

- Travel670803 (10/5): Conference Booking - My first-ever review on Trip Advisor goes to Hampton Inn Downtown! Their team went above and beyond to accommodate our 25-person group. Most had never been to Louisiana before and continue to name the kindness of the team at the Hampton as a highlight of their stay. Truly, I wish I had another conference to book to spend time with their team. Their meeting spaces and use of their lobby area exceeded ou expectations. Thank you, Hampton staff!

- bbond (2/5): Disappointed - No on site parking. Parking lot is not close and charged to use it. Not convenient when you leave before dawn for your trip and have to go hunt your car down in the dark. Poor customer service. Look elsewhere…….

I thought to notify the front desk but did not. We just dealt with as we were only staying one night. Besides that, a nice hotel.

- Laura (6/5): - We stayed on LSU/Florida weekend, so it was very expensive. For the price, I would think they would give you more than 2 towels and clean your room daily. Apparently, you have to ask for those things and did not tell me on check-in. I think it is ridiculous. Also, on their website I booked a room that it stated would accommodate 5 people. That was not the case. They gave us a room with 2 queens beds and no couch or place for the 5th person to comfortably sleep. I will definitely stay elsewhere on our next trip. The only bright spot was an employee named Williamena who helps with breakfast. She was so kind and went out of her way to get my kids whatever they needed.

- Bryan (6/5): - When we arrived we had a warm welcome from front desk. We got our room keys and immediately left to go to the college for a game. We come back get ready for bed my daughter notice blood stains on the comforter when she pulled it back. Front desk put us in another room but we lost our river view which really ruined the stay for us. The breakfast was nice which was a plus. I hate talking negative about people businesses because you never know what’s going on in the background as far as employee shortages or whatever might be the cause. So use this review but make your choice by reading other reviews as well.
