Savannah (7/5): Overall not a bad hotel but would probably choose a different place next time. - It was easy to find and hassle free for check in. Room was still a little dirty when we arrived, toilet paper holder was broken, no coffee for breakfast, breakfast food did not seem very fresh. We checked in with staff but after that never seen them after that.

Cindy (2/5): - It was the last hotel available when we arrived. The room was dirty. A huge Hairball inside the pillows on the bed. Bathroom small and cramped, toilet didn't flush properly, water leaked out of the shower. Garbage can (smelly and gross) inside entrance door. Layout was very cold and unwelcoming. No real places to actually sit on at arrival. The food was not too good either. Worst place to stay at.

Douglas (4/5): - The hotel is situated in "downtown" Rhinelander, where my son and I traveled to for a multi-day cycling event. Though, downtown, the setting surrounding the hotel is far from desirable to look at... With rundown homes, scenes of drunk people leaving the bar nextdoor, and the unkempt asphalt parking lot. The staff were rude / unwelcoming, and it seemed that their guests were a burdon to them. The room was renovated, from some previous state of being, to what it is now, without much attention to detail; shotty, sloppy caulking and painting. The HVAC was functional. The door to our balcony was difficult to open / close, and every time we went out there, we could smell nothing but cigarette smoke visiting us from other rooms' balconies. The floor was absolutely filthy, and we never received any service... I never saw a single cleaning person in three days. The linens were all old, thin, dingy, and stained, though I believe they were clean... We never received any fresh towels or mid-stay cleaning. We did not use the pool or hot tub, as the water was a bit cloudy for my taste. The free breakfast is exactly what you'd expect after reading the above, too... We did not partake. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend the establishment to friends or family.

Stephanie (4/5): - We stayed 3 nights, got to room bedding was dirty on one bed with stains, they never came to change out when asking staff in the hall , floors were sticky, had to wear shoes or your feet would be dirty, pillows were comfy, bed not so much, hot shower with great pressure, sink though didn’t drain well, no working fan in bathroom , housekeeping never came during stay to give new towels, had to ask for them and try to find someone to get them, breakfast was ok nothing fancy as it’s included with stay, lots of cracks in ceiling that was plastered over not very well , they do have potential to be a good option to stay they need to work on cleaning better and customer service, better beds and making sure to have clean towels daily to room. Was walking distance to many dive bars that were good and found a good breakfast place called Dinky Diner.

My only recommendation is to have grab bars in the tub / shower area. Even healthy adults sometimes need a place to grab and hold onto.

The 3rd floor door leading to the stairs was locked with the keyed lock Another dangerous code violation

Verified traveler (4/5): - Convenient location, dim and poorly maintained. Our room on the ground floor was noisy and poorly lit. The property is clearly older and any renovations were superficial - older wall A/C, shower fixtures loose, dirt and grime in the corners of the room. Wouldn’t go back.

They just finished cleaning and must use only fabuloso so that was extremely over powering and the floors were so sticky an turn my feet black. The white comforter had stains all over it couldnt even use it. The bathroom was strange, very small doorway an the toilet was angled so to get toilet paper had to reach behind you. They could use a dusting in the bathroom as well, i know they rushed cause room wasnt ready but still should've had it fully cleaned. The patio off our room was quite nice. Went down to the pool area an saw the pool was murky green. The hot tub was crystal clear an working tho, also had a pool table there as well which was nice.

The pool water was cloudy with a greenish tint and the hot tub had film floating on top and debris in bottom of tub so was not gonna use either. Staff was friendly and close to restaurants and shops. Would stay here again.

It doesn’t look like much when you pull up but when you walk inside, it’s amazing. Easy walking to local bars and restaurants.

Definitely not worth $350 for two nights.
Babygal3 (10/5): Words Can't Explain - We had never stayed at a Clarion Location and this place definitely hit the mark. Beautiful hotel the remodel is awesome. We was working in the area and I always check my hotels by reviews and stars. I figure not everyone is gonna lie on 1 place. So this had good reviews but I wasn't expecting when we walked in what amazing remodel. Great customer service they was so friendly and nice to us. Rooms and hallways clean no smell. I believe all hotels should take away the carpet and put wood floors. Keeps the smell away. Don't pull up and judge a book by its cover cause it's on the inside that counts. Definitely would recommend if your in the area this would be the place to stay.
Donna (1/5): Don't give them ur credit card, they will charge it - The 100 dollar charge for a bloody pillow. Had surgery on mouth and drooled blood on pillow. Never was told of being charged either. Most hotels know how to clean sheets. Was also told they had to shut the room for 2 days. That is utterly ridiculous!

kevin (4/5): check your bank statements - upon arrival there was no one at the desk, you had to use the phone to get someone to check you in.when we checked in we paid in full, when we got back home we checked our bank account only to learn they charged us for another day, when called back they said oh it must be a mistake.they said check on Monday to see if it is credited.
Marvin (8/5): - You need a rug in the entry of the room. The floor was sandy and muddy.
Stanley (9/5): Superb - Perfect location. Warm room and ample parking.. Lots of electric vehicle charging stations (good to know for future trips up North). No issues.
Donald (10/5): - They have done a very nice job with the remodel. I've been using this hotel for the past 40 years. The downtown location can't be beat. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars and downtown shopping.
